I recently moved into The Grove at Wilcrest, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision! From the moment I toured the property, I knew this was the perfect place to call home. The community is well-maintained, quiet, and has everything you could ask for in an apartment complex—great amenities, a convenient location, and a welcoming atmosphere.A huge shoutout to Alex—he is absolutely the best! From day one, he has been incredibly personable, professional, and genuinely cares about the residents. He made my move-in process seamless and has been helpful with any questions I’ve had. It’s rare to find a manager who goes above and beyond like he does! The apartments themselves are spacious, modern, and well-kept. The maintenance team is prompt and efficient, and the neighbors have been friendly. I highly recommend The Grove at Wilcrest to anyone looking for a great place to live in Houston. If you’re considering moving here, just know you’ll be in great hands—especially with Alex leading the team!

The staff at the Grove at Wilcrest are phenomenal. Alex and Robbi are outstanding; they are always friendly and genuinely willing to help. Their professionalism has consistently been 10/10.The complex is quiet and clean, with great amenities. The parking garage is huge with tons of parking. Also, if maintenance is needed, they respond quickly. Overall, Its a fantastic place to call home for the short or long-term.

I had a great experience touring and leasing an apartment at Grove at Wilcrest! My apartment locator recommended it, and Alex in the leasing office was very helpful. He gave me a thorough tour, helped me get the best price for a 1-bedroom, and guided me through the entire process. I was approved the next day, and Alex quickly sent over my lease and made sure everything was set for move-in. Highly recommend this community and working with Alex! Will keep yall updated on my experience.

If you are considering moving to this place, I have to tell you: RUN! AS FAST AS POSSIBLE! You’ll NEVER get back one cents from your deposit you paid . I lived here for almost 2 years. I paid every fee every rent on time without any hesitation. They charged me both pet deposit and pet fee per month I didn’t say a thing. I recently moved out last month. They find all the reasons to deduct my deposit amount. Looking at the details it was the most ridiculous bill I have ever seen!! Carpet Replacement caused $578.02!😡My room only has one carpet in the main bedroom all the rest just floor. What carpet they used just for one room ? Made from gold? My walls are very clean. We maintained everywhere in good shape. Even like this they charged me 152.04 on paint. And the rest of charges on appliances. All appliances are functioning when I moved out. Anyway apartment is responsible to fix the appliances for free. That’s why we pay a high maintenance fee. I’m so frustrated about their actions. BE CAREFUL about your deposit! ATTENTION!!! When we moved out, we had deep cleaning to every room, see the pictures and videos we had. And see how they treated their loyal residents!!!

Title: Avoid This Nightmare Apartment Complex: Mold, Vandalism, and Unethical PracticesI cannot stress enough the importance of steering clear of the grove at Wilcrest. My brief six-month tenure in this establishment was marred by a litany of issues that no tenant should ever have to endure.Lets start with the mold infestation in my unit, which was left untreated despite multiple complaints. This negligence not only jeopardized my family and NEWBORNS health but also showcased the utter disregard for tenant well-being exhibited by the management. On top of that, the rampant vandalism targeting residents vehicles was shocking and unsettling. It was abundantly clear that security measures were woefully inadequate, leaving our property vulnerable to damage and theft. But wait, theres more. The unsanitary conditions in the common areas were downright appalling. The stench of dog feces in the hallways was overpowering, and the sight of overflowing garbage cans was a daily reminder of the managements utter incompetence in maintaining basic cleanliness standards. And lets not forget the cockroach infestation in the whole apartment complex, despite my best efforts to keep the place spotless and cleaning crew weekly. It was a losing battle against pests that should have been eradicated long before they became a problem. But the cherry on top of this nightmare is the unethical business practices of corporate members from the grove. After providing written notice that we were released from our lease with no penalties, we received a bill for a staggering $14,000. Threats of damaging my credit if I refuse to pay only serve to highlight the despicable nature of this establishments management. This is not just bad business; its downright criminal. Its clear that legal action is warranted to hold accountable for their negligence, incompetence, and deceitful practices.Save yourself the trouble and find housing elsewhere. Trust me; youll thank yourself later.

I waited to write this review for a long time but I feel that it is needed if I could give 0 stars I would. Please reconsider living here if youre thinking about it. I moved here February 2024 and first off they BARELY cleaned my apartment upon arrival the washing machine was FILTHY, the fridge had hairs all in it, I also requested they change the carpet out before I move in and they said yes and they ended up not even doing it until hours after I was trying to move in which was a big hold on the entire day and also did not offer any dollies for unloading my boxes, the shower was also not cleaned or the toilet. The hallways smell so weird and the floors are always dirty most of the time and the trash chute is filled with roaches each time you want to take out the trash. Speaking of roaches, this place is FILLED with them. I would keep my place SO clean, had bait traps and expensive roach treatments and NOTHING worked. They were in the cabinets, pantry, bathroom, near my fridge. It was HORRIBLE and such a nasty and stressful thing to deal with to the point where I wouldnt even want to cook anymore. Fast forward to October my apartment got completely flooded because my upstairs neighbor was trying to hang his tv and burst a water pipe and the process was so stressful they came and assessed but one thing I was frustrated about was later that night when I was about to leave a group of guys came right inside to rip out my carpet after I just spent close to 2 hours putting everything that wasnt damaged in my room since it was the only area that didnt flood too bad and now I had to move everything out and was not notified they were coming AT ALL. I was also very hesitant to leave at that point because I didnt want them moving my furniture out to the flooded areas causing more damage. The whole thing was just a wreck. They also NEVER compensated me for anything at all or helped me with the process or even offered to help me move into the new unit (which i’m in the process of still dealing with trying to get compensated for that if i have to try and sue I will) They moved me to another unit in the building and AGAIN no prior cleaning was done at all. The washing machine was filthy, ANTS EVERYWHERE!! Even after the exterminator came as I am still living here there are ants everywhere, the shower was not cleaned either and the drain was FULL with hair to where the water would overflow and the sink had weird green stuff all over it and I am pretty sure this unit also had water damage in the past because there is a weird smell as well as the wood flooring is warped in all different spots. I cannot wait to move out of here. The only good thing I have to say about this place is Alex. He has been so nice everytime I met with him. Overall my opinion is do not move here for paying $1500 or more a month you can find much cleaner places in Houston. ALSO upon moving out they tried to charge me a cleaning fee.. even though I barely was even there anymore since moving into the replacement unit. DONT MOVE HERE!!!!!

I’m going to do my best to leave a fair review because I have mixed feelings about this community so bear with me and I hope this is informative for you!Location & apartment complex: 7/10 the location is PRIME. Close to city center, not a far drive from the heights, downtown and other popular areas in Houston. I’ve lived in two different floor plans and both were spacious and a good price. The apartment complex its self is well kept and they recently did updates on the exteriors for a refreshed look but the grounds were loaded with dog poop. Not the fault of the complex that falls more on lazy residents.Amenities: 6/10 amenities such as pool and gym weren’t anything super special. Never had issues with the gym or equipment but pools 1&2 were always filthy during the summer. Again not the fault of complex, fault of residents who didn’t care to pick up after themselves. Maintenance would always clean it up first thing on Monday but it was frustrating over the weekend to try and relax and the spaces were filthy.Valet Trash & Fetch delivery: I actually really liked the valet trash, never had any issues and they always came around the same time. Speaking of garbage, Fetch Delivery service is hot garbage. They make you pay $20 a month whether or not you want to use this service to send your packages to a third party warehouse where your packages are being kept in poor conditions and flung around or eventually lost. I know this because I’ve had to do pick ups all the way in SUGARLAND for my items since they will say “out for delivery” for two consecutive days yet they don’t come or misplace my package. This alone would never make me want to sign a lease at any community that tries to push fetch on you. Imagine paying monthly for Amazon Prime and then on top of this Fetch service which SLOWS down the process you’re originally paying for?Staff & Management: 7/10 Alex & Vanessa are great! We actually signed our lease there because of Alex, he truly cares and is a great person and neighbor! I also really loved Carl and Randi when they were here. Haley was also very nice but anytime you wanted to express an issue, she would do this tactic where she gives you a compliment to try and diffuse down the issue you have. I immediately took notice anytime I came down to discuss an issue and found it condescending. Overall staff is professional and kind but are limited due to being a small team.Security: Negative -10/10 this is where I would have to score the LOWEST. While living there, we were victims of theft, TWICE. It’s a constant issue at The Grove and management would send out generic “crime happens anywhere” emails but not actually do anything about it to improve their security and procedures. The security company hired is always sleeping on the job and doesn’t patrol. Gate was also always broken. Cars are constantly having tires stolen, broken into or straight up stolen entirely from the parking garage and The Grove is just like “well it is what it is…” we always had anxiety walking to the parking garage hoping our vehicle was ok… There is also no security cameras inside the complex hallways so I strongly recommend getting a ring camera for your door because yes there have been apartment break ins as well.Residents- 2/10As time went by during our second renewal we noticed more and more rude, unruly and uncaring residents move in. The community used to be a quiet and calm place to live in but on the weekends it turns into a party complex. LOUD music on the balconies, poolside, throw up in the elevators, hallways and the constant smell of drugs and trash up and down the hallways was nauseating. Of course this is not in the control of the complex of knowing everyone’s living habits prior to leasing, but they definitely don’t send violations to repeat offenders as they wouldn’t keep repeating it! If you’re looking for peace and quiet, it is peaceful during the week but on the weekends it turns into a party complex.Overall, The Grove is a decent spot but there’s lots of room for needed improvement.

The Grove is an amazing place to live, and Alex is an outstanding employee at the Grove . Hes very professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. Alex didnt apply in pressure tactics trying to convince me to become a tenant. I noticed that Alex communicates well with people of all walks of life. In fact, he explained everything to me in laymans terms so I could clearly understand the rental agreement. Alex is the BEST...5 🌟

I am living with roaches EVERY DAY. Two months have passed and 7 fumigations have been done (2 in full), but the roaches are still alive and kicking. The leasing office assures us that they care but they dont really understand what living with roaches means while your husband had an amputation surgery and he is trying to heal his wound surrounded by roaches. This is an UNSANITARY ENVIRONMENT that could affect our health. To make it worse, my dogs have diarrhea (we paid $300 to the vet to treat them). Roaches are climbing their bowls. Furthermore, one of our dogs was wounded by a bullet ricochet and he is healing with roaches to his side. Imcleaning my apartment as much as I can but the next second I cleaned, roaches are walking over the countertops, sink, cabinets, and even in myrefrigerator. The leasing office is asking us to be patient. Would you be patient in these circumstances? They also offered us to transfer IF we pay a new deposit. My husband is not working due to the surgery. Hes in recovery. He is not getting paid so we cant afford a new deposit even if they say they will refund the old one. They wont. Also, neighbors leave trash bags in the aisle all the time so the odor is unbearable and disgusting. I guess roaches are happily living here but the Grove at Wilcrest’s tenants just have to bear with them. We already made a written complaint with the Houston Apartment Association and called the Health Department. Dont come to live at Grove at Wilcrest unless you want some filthy “roommates” who wont pay rent!Update 4/4/2024. The roaches are reproducing, they are not dying. We are in the fourth month of living with roaches. Now they are in my dining area. Now they are back in the cabinets. Today I had to get rid of my second toaster (both of them in perfect condition) because roaches were inside. The manager is accusing us of violating the leasing contract because I put a small flyer on our door summarizing our situation: more than 3 months living with roaches. More than 10 fumigations and nothing. Does Grove Wilcrest care? I dont think so. This is an unsanitary environment! Well, where is my freedom of speech? I asked them to let me know what part of the contract states that this is a violation. ImWaiting for it. More pictures and videos on the current situation so you can verify that what Grove has done hasnt brought any solutions.

It has very irresponsible maintenance team. I started to have cold water this afternoon so I could not take a shower. I called the maintenance service and got the answer I needed to run the water longer and the water would become hot. I ran the water for 10 minutes and it was still cold, so I called again. The staff told me to run the water for another 10 minutes and the water would be hot. I didnt believe what they said but I still followed their direction. After another 10 minutes, I called again about the cold water and hoped someone to come to fix it. I worked out today so was sweaty and dirty and really needed to take a shower this evening. But the maintenance team first wasted me 20 minutes running cold water for nothing and second, they didnt want to come to fix the problem in time. After they declined the needed maintenance services, I had to take a cold shower in the Winter and that was not fun.

I tried to give this place a chance, even disregarding the negative comments. However, my experience here has confirmed the truth. Just today, on 08/13/2024, my truck was broken into, and my belongings were stolen. This happened after the gate had been broken for three days. Since moving in two months ago, weve encountered numerous problems: the apartment was dirty when we arrived, with poorly repainted walls and crown molding falling apart. The air conditioning burned out due to poor maintenance, pipes are leaking, the hallway carpets are filthy, and theres no proper security. Visitors park wherever they want without consequences. While management has tried to help, and their customer service is great, the proper measures to ensure safety have not been met. I wanted to like this place, but its been a horrible experience living here.

I recently moved to the Grove at Wilcrest from West Texas and signed the lease without seeing the property… best decision I’ve ever made! I initially worked with Alex, and he got me set up and ready to move in a unit within a day. He was so easy to work with and has amazing customer service. When it was time for me to move in, Alex was on vacation, so I worked with Vanessa. She is so kind and answered all of my questions and made the process so easy for me. Thank you Alex and Vanessa for helping me find my new home, you deserve 10 stars!!I also want to comment on my unit and the complex in general. My unit was so clean when I moved in, it felt like no one had ever even lived here before me. The complex is beautiful and has the best amenities I’ve seen at this price point. The location is perfect, and I’ve felt very safe living here so far. I’m so happy I chose the Grove at Wilcrest!

I lived at the Grove for the past couple of years and just recently moved out. Overall, it was a good experience! Naturally, we had some issues in the apartment over time (ex: pests, leaks, etc.) but the staff was always quick to address them. The management and maintenance teams are wonderful and one of the best aspects of the Grove! While there were ongoing issues with the entry gate or occasional vandalism/theft (parking garage), the team always made an effort to improve the safety and security of the property. Additionally, the club lounge, business center, gym, and pools were great! Id recommend anyone searching for a place to live in the Memorial area to consider the Grove.

This property is an absolute nightmare. The beginning of our lease was pleasant but now we are awaiting the moment our lease is over. There have been multiple breaks ins. From the the parking garage; tires & cars. And now the burglars are making their way inside the property. Our next door neighbor was recently broken into. Additionally, there have recently been about three other break ins inside the actual property. My car was also recently tampered with. Management doesn’t seem to take these matters as severe as they should. Gate is always broken, pets are unleashed. We recently had an incident with an unleashed pet. They seem to be focusing on the wrong aspects. Perhaps, at first my opinion would have been different but as of now. We would not recommend this property to anyone. Hallways always stink like wet, trash and dog poop. We have had so many issues from bad neighbors to theft, pets not being leashed etc. We have lived in a couple of properties in Houston and this is by far the property with the most burglary issues we have ever seen. Every time an incident occurs all they seem to do is send the same mass email. It’s sickening. Don’t let the nice amenities fool you. This place is not safe. Your children and family will not be safe in this complex. I’m completely disappointed.

Maintenance and management keep ignoring the situation, I have raised concerns for months now and the living situation just keeps getting worse and worse. Not only that, but management lets residents dogs pee everywhere and hallways and garages smell like straight up piss. Management sucks here, if you have an issue don’t expect to ever get it resolved. Besides that, who the heck wants to live with seeing cockroaches on the DAILY!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! As a previous resident, I can attest to the high standard of professionalism and genuine empathy at this office. I’ve seen reviews of theft, which I can assure you, happens anywhere in Houston. Albeit highly frustrating and inconvenient, it’s the reason we have auto and renters insurance. I previously rented at this property for 2 years (alone) and never personally had any issues with theft or safety concerns. The ONLY reason I moved out was because of the rate increase of my previous unit. I went back to tour the property and check on availability recently; Alex and the staff remembered who I was and were all VERY welcoming and inviting. Alex even toured the facility for my significant other w/ a fractured leg (in a boot). I have since then toured other properties and was left feeling severely underwhelmed by the experiences and don’t plan to waste any more of my time looking to live anywhere else.

A Nightmare Living Experience - Beware!I recently moved out of Grove and feel compelled to share my experience for the benefit of potential renters. Living there was a constant headache, and I would not wish it on anyone. The security at this complex is downright appalling. The gate that was supposed to be the first line of defense against intruders was broken more often than not. As a result, numerous vehicles were broken into during my stay, making me and other residents feel unsafe and vulnerable. The management was not only unhelpful, but also seemed completely indifferent to our concerns. When it came to our furry friends, they were quick to charge exorbitant pet fees and deposits, yet provided no services or amenities in return. The lack of care and consideration for pet owners was disheartening, to say the least. As if that wasnt enough, the staff members were unprofessional and unresponsive. When I encountered issues and sought assistance, they either dodged responsibility or outright refused to help. This kind of attitude does not foster a sense of community, and it made me feel unwelcome and unsupported throughout my stay.Living in Grove at Wilcrest was nothing short of a nightmare. If you value your safety, peace of mind, and a professional management team, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Dont make the same mistake I did – you deserve better.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. Upon moving out the Grove is trying to charge me roughly $1800 in supposed damages to the floor of the apartment. When I moved in the floors were in terrible condition, I had marked this on the move form but did not take pictures. The hardwood floors and carpet had to be at least 10 years old when I moved into the unit. After I moved out the Grove replaced all of the flooring in the unit and is expecting me to pay the ENTIRE bill. This is CRAZY, I only lived in the unit for 6 months there is no possible way I could have damaged the floors to the effect that I would need to pay for the ENTIRE floor replacement. Essentially the Grove is charging me for capital improvements for the next tenants. DO NOT LIVE HERE or the Grove will scam you!!!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Words cannot express how happy I am being here for over 2 years. I love the diversity of residents who live here. Whether they are professionals, families, singles, and most importantly, all types of race. Residents including myself are friendly, kind, courteous, and look out for other neighbors. It is very rare living in a community to have these qualities. From maintenance, leasing office agents, and management, are all on point. The staffs are professional, responsive, caring, and overall AMAZING! Any work order request, will be completed the next following day or ASAP depending what is requested. Apartments are extremely nice, you must have a fob key to access entry gate and doorways. They also have a security guard at night. This property is now own by Greystar. I am content and support any strict rules and regulations that are required before living here. Thanks again for all the employees. They are dedicated and hard-workers. It is pretty evident how organize and smooth their management team runs this property; it is maintained, well kept, presentable, and overall the validation of our safety living on this property.

There are not words expressive enough to say how wonderful it is living at the Grove at Wilcrest. The apartments are great, the landscaping is beautiful and kept up and its convenient to every store that you could be looking for including terrific restaurants. However, the clincher is the leasing office family! I moved from Illinois and looked at many great apartments but the deciding factor were the people in the office. Alethia, Haley, Randi, Carl and Alex are all totally awesome. I am 75 years old and lived in apartments all my life and the relationship between renter and management has never come close to what is received here. (And I know for a fact that others feel the same and its not just that I am so easy to love!) I moved here not knowing a soul and live here by myself except for when my son can be in town, which is seldom. We fell in love with them upon our first visit, but i can tell you it wasnt a sales pitch to get our commitment! We have been here 9 months and I am always treated like Im their favorite aunt. I could go on and on giving very personal and much appreciated examples of genuine care, concern and downright love that I have been shown.

This Saturday will make it my one year anniversary at this apartment complex and I will state in a moment why I’m giving the complex just one star. Please know and understand that the staff are great and personable but the complex has a MAJOR safety issue. From the time I moved in, there have been a plethora of apartments that have been broken into, as well as cars that have been broken into and/or stolen. On January 1, I returned home from my Christmas vacation to see that my apartment had been broken into and no one noticed or said anything until it was seen by me. I found out that another person had their home broken into as well but no one in the complex had been alerted. I no longer feel safe in my home or the complex as a whole. I can’t understand why there aren’t cameras in the hallways to avoid this from happening going forward. It also doesn’t help that the gates are always broken and the “security” guard opens the gate for anyone without properly screening people so security is compromised all around. While the staff is nice, I wouldn’t recommend living here. The rent is overpriced and there’s no real security.

When I was moving out I vacated the apartment months before my lease was up to make sure I had time to get the unit back as it was given to me, I even spent money in minor repairs. Now months later I find out I am being charged for something I was told I would not be charged for at all. I have had HORRIBLE experiences with Haylee and Alex. Their unprofessionalism and lack of honesty is a JOKE. I have even lost so much money in repairs to my vehicle from the horrible security. If I could leave -2 stars I would. Even though the amount that I owe is miniscule its the simple lack of respect.

We were residents for 2 years and we absolutely loved it here. The only reason we left was we needed more bedrooms. We hated leaving because everyone there always made us feel at home. The staff was always amazing, friendly, and beyond helpful. Starting from the manager Hailey, to the front desk staff Alethia, Carl, Talon, Erica and Alex as well as the maintenance staff Jesse and Salvador who always addressed our needs immediately. They have friendly courtesy officers who work the evening and night as well, we did get the pleasure of talking with them thankfully we never really needed them. Everyone who lived there was always friendly as well, we always felt safe living there, and I also loved the fact that they offered reserved parking spots. Every so often the complex held different events that had big turnouts, it was always fun and the food and drinks were delicious. I can keep going on about how positive our experience was there but I’ll keep this short. Thank you to everyone at The Groves at Wilcrest for making our stay as homey and delightful as possible. Definitely recommend and will go back if we ever need to downsize.

I am looking for a new apartment, it’s getting closer to my move date. I am extremely picky. I have visited so many apartments that I can’t even count and nothing has had everything I am looking for unless it is outside my budget. When we walked in we were greeted immediately by Carl. He was so nice, funny and friendly. These apartments are so nice and I even met the maintenance supervisor. One thing I know I will miss about moving out is how well my current place takes care of their tenants and meeting the maintenance supervisor was a nice touch. Now to my favorite thing about this apartment is the gas stove. Oh my Goooddddd!! All I want is a gas stove. The floor plan is open and had the extra space I need for WFH. I have to have an office space. These apartments ate my top choice. One last thing, everyone that work in the office had been there 5 or more years, that speaks volumes!!!

Andrea, the assistant manager is simply the best! She’s always attentive to all my needs and concerns. Haley, the office manager is also very helpful and friendly. Overall, a great place to live. The Grove is reasonably priced for the City Centre/Energy Corridor area which was a huge draw for me. There are a variety of floor plans, albeit some a bit awkward, the square footage is ideal. Prior to making my decision, I did tour several neighboring properties and there were 3 things that instantly stood out:• Cohesive staff; never appear to be overwhelmed - they are able to multi-task and seem to work well as a team• Sense of community or belonging; everyone who lives here is friendly and engaging• Straight-forward and communicativeBasma was a great resource and helped me to become even more confident in my decision to live here.I worked with Carl throughout my leasing process and he was clear, concise, and helpful. Even after moving in he has gone beyond his required duties to be accommodating.AmenitiesThere are multiple pools, 24-hr gym, computer access, trash access on each floor, stainless steel appliances (wine fridge - HELLO) and parking on every level with additional guest parking (reserved parking for an additional fee).Needs Improvement - slightly pickyAs much as I like this place, I would be remiss if I did not include the area that can be improved. I highly appreciate having a trash shoot on each level, however, the areas that are designated for trash should be cleaned more frequently. Once I enter the building from the garage each day I can smell unpleaseantries from just down the hall. It is very brief, but still not what you want wafting through your nose upon returning home.Overall, nice place to live with an accommodating staff. I would highly recommend.

I have lived at The Grove for almost three years, and most of my experiences have been pleasant. I trust the staff to promptly and fairly take care of my home needs- from packages to service requests for maintenance.Particularly, if you are looking for an attentive and pleasant move-in process, I would recommend Matt. He always carries a smile and is non-intrusive; he has just the right amount of friendliness without cramping my style. When I was graduating college and an important package arrived for me, he personally delivered it to my apartment when I was unable to make it home before closing time.Another time I felt content with The Grove was when my freezer intermittently stopped working. The situation was quite a nuisance but the office and maintenance kept working at it and communicating until the issue was fixed.Recently, I complained that the stairwell was dirtied with debris. Within two days, the stairwell had been cleaned. I trust that my complaints and issues are taken seriously. The Grove staff, while it changes from time to time, generally keeps an group that is more knowledgeable, hospitable, friendly, caring and professional than most other management staff.

I have lived here 5 years because of how amazing the staff are as well as how great the property is. In the front office Haley, Alethia, Carl, & Alex are outstanding. They are all so personable & not only make you feel like part of their family but they are genuinely interested in what’s going on in your life & checking in to see how you’re doing. Jesse is the head of maintenance and he is the same way always greeting you by name; asking if everything is ok in your apartment. They are exceptional in response time to any maintenance requests. They do everything for you. I’ve never had any major issues since I’ve lived there & they are happy to do even the simplest things such as replacing a lightbulb or your changing AC filter. We have Food Truck Thursdays with a variety of vendors for you to purchase a great dinner. Before COVID they would have a big July 4th party on the roof of the parking lot with complimentary food and drinks. My favorite event they ever had was a Farmer’s Market they set up in the club room where you could fill your bag for free with anything you wanted. They have 3 great pools & all three have covered cabanas complete with very nice grills. They also have a state of the art gym, & a nice library where residents have donated books as well as a gourmet coffee bar. This is a great amenity with lots of varieties from vanilla latte to espresso shots. Saves a lot of money because there is really no need to run to Starbucks all the time. Best of all it’s a very beautiful property inside and out. They are constantly cleaning up inside & out. The halls are large, bright, carpeted, as well as having A/C & heat. The grounds are like a lush, tropical paradise with ample space to walk your dog whether big or small. The property is so great my parents even uprooted from out of state from their 3 bedroom home that was paid for to come & move into a 2 bedroom of their own. The floor plans are great with 2 choices of cabinets, granite, & backsplash. It’s a quiet property too with all neighbors respectful of each other. I recommend this property 100% without any hesitation so please stop by & you will understand why it is so great to be a part of the Grove community. You will not be disappointed. I promise!

I left the apartment clean and with no damage! I understand there is professional cleaning and usually the complex charge you for it but this amount is a lot! I havent received any letter so I sent them an email and ask about my deposit, after several days they responded; I explained to them immediately this charging shouldnt be correct! Alex at the front desk is the entire reason we moved into this apartment. A great personality who cares about the place and its residence. I wish I had the same to say about the management team. They are the best corporate people that Greystar could find. They want to make you believe that they take issue seriously when they are out just to make sure the rent is paid on time. Our truck was stolen from the inside of the parking garage after their gates failed to work properly and were not repaired for weeks. The day our truck was stolen the state of the art security cameras so happened to not be working. Additionally the security guard or what they call a deterrent failed to notice the theft. 3 security features were bypassed for this to occur. When asked about the failure their response was they are not obligated to provide security for any of our personal belongings. They love to state how they take these matter personally since they all were residents here at one point in time. This is the second reported stolen vehicle from the garage that they deemed ok to tell their residents about. There have been 5 according to HPD since the beginning of the year. They show no motivation to change the way security is handled and are relying on the residents to police the property and take care of themselves. If you are looking for a secure safe place for you family, this place does not seem to be the place to rent.

I’ve been a resident for almost a year now. We looked at 7 different complexes in the area and I can honestly say that we made the right choice. We haven’t lived in an apartment for over 30 years and this feels more like a 5-star hotel! The staff makes all the difference in the world. Anything you ask, they are at least willing to listen and will do their best to accommodate. The place is surrounded by a fence in which you can walk your dogs within the complex and not have to venture out on the streets. the covered parking is secure and safe. And the garbage chute rooms are so much better than piling it in front of your door in the evening. I could go on, but the staff here is what makes this a real home! From all the various staff in the front office to all the maintenance men and women that keep this place running, you can’t get much better than this. We hope to enjoy living here for at least several more years.

I have lived at the Grove for about 9 months and I love it.NOISE: I do hear people in the hallways or above me occasionally (but what apartment do you not hear people at?). It is definitely nothing to complain about. I do live near the back of the complex so I never hear any traffic from I-10.CLEANLINESS: The hallways, the common areas, and the outside areas are always clean. The trash rooms occasionally become overflowed which does create a bad odor in the hallways. I would say 95% of the time there is no problem with this though.STAFF: The staff is wonderful. Always happy to help and they dress very professionally. This is the fourth apartment I have lived at and I have never seen a staff stick around this long. The turnover rate at other apartments is ridiculous. The staff sticks around here, which is a good sign in my book!MAINTENANCE: The maintenance crew is great. They always fix my issues within one day. I also have my security alarm set and I ask them to call me before entering the apartment and they always call me when they enter and leave the apartment. They are very professional.PARKING: The parking garage is great. The back of the complex also has a covered parking area (which guests can use). Although, the security guard goes around the parking garage to tag the cars that shouldnt be parked in the garage, but they never actually tow them. Sometimes I see cars with two and three warning stickers on them. It is pretty frustrating seeing this because the cars that do not belong are taking up parking spots that should be available for actual residents. If I come in after 8pm I have to park on the guest floors (5th & 6th) because there is no other available parking.AMENITIES: The three pools are great in the summer. If it is crowded I can head to another pool. The common areas are great especially for grabbing coffee or hot chocolate in the morning.OVERALL: Would recommend to a friend. Would sign another lease.

I agree with Monica. We lived there for two years and do not believe the good ratings. When we moved out, they charged us $1,500. We had a maid service come in and clean it, and it was basically spotless. The largest portion of charges was for our floors that had damage caused by their leaky roofs!! We were on the fourth floor and when it rained, it always dripped onto our floors. We did several maintenance requests and nothing. When we tried to let the office know we disagreed with the charges, we were ignored. They turned us into the collection agency and sent all this information to the apartment we moved out of!! We were side swiped and our credit was hurt. I just want to warn others before you make a mistake that could negatively impact your life for the next 5-7 years.Kind Regards,Amanda Farrell

Absolutely incredible! Like living in a hotel. They have a parking garage on site so you never have to walk in the rain. There’s always plenty of parking available. And there are elevators in the parking garage that are SUPER big and very nice. The gym and business centers are exquisite. The gym is big, too. The neighbors are respectful. Nobody is up playing music at midnight for three hours. Even during the day it is always quiet. The apartments are beautiful inside, the granite countertops and really high ceilings add so much volume. Having a washing machine and dryer in the apartment is wonderful. Plenty of storage space too. Large patios and balconies. Also this is a weird thing to comment on, but it’s really nice: there are TONS of outlets in the units! Lots of places to plug stuff in. And the cherry on the cake is the people who work here. Everyone in the leasing office is absolutely wonderful and easy to get ahold of. There’s no phone-tag with them; they’re great about answering phones. Alex in particular is just great! One morning they were passing out free chickfila sandwiches (and orange juice) in the parking lot! As a thank you for being a resident there. So awesome. The ONLY downside is that the hallways smell god awful most of the time. There are trash chutes throughout the whole complex but the doors don’t seal tightly enough. Luckily you don’t really have to spend much time in the hallways! But it is pretty pungent. They try to make it better by using air fresheners but sadly they don’t do much.I would definitely recommend living here! Great for a young couple and even a family (they even have a pool that’s geared more for kids).

Within one year of living at The Grove I had a vehicle broken into, a vehicle stolen from the garage, and my apartment unit broken into.During all of these incidents management did not show any concern. Management always blamed me as the resident for keeping things in my car, parking in a bad spot, and not having cameras in my apartment. Moreover, they never let any of the other residents know that these events where happening. When my vehicle was broken into two others where broken into as well and when my apartment unit has been broken into five other apartment had been hit that same day. I didn’t find out my unit was broken into until 6PM when I arrived home, but management knew there had been break-ins at 1PM that same day and didn’t tell any of the residents. At the end of the day, management did not care about their residents and made sure not to let anyone how unsafe the apartment complex really is. Even after my unit was broken into, they never replaced the door frame that was compromised, even after calling them several times. Do not live here unless you want to be robbed three times in the span of one year.

The Grove is a great place to live and I really like its location. Youre right on the highway (the 10 and the Sam) with easy on and off access. Youre close to City Center and Memorial City along with lots of other cool places. The gym here has what you need and the swimming lap pool is awesome to have. The best part of the Grove: it did not flood when we got hit by Harvey ;-) Many thanks to the staff!

A top notch place to live. The service is superior to anywhere else Ive lived. The amenities are breathe taking and my guests are always impressed. There are three pools! I REPEAT, 3 POOLS (heated)! It is true that this is not in the best neighborhood and there have been a couple break-ins to cars in the garage. However the management has done all it can to keep this from happening, from notifying all of us to adding security. The neighborhood on the other side of I10 is Memorial, though so it is still a very nice area to live in.Location: close to Westheimer so all the interesting restaurants are just a few miles straight south on that and very close to Memorial Mall and Town Center. Also in the other direction parks with a great place to ride bikes. I can hop onto 8 or 10 easily to go where ever I need to go. AND I dont have to slog through traffic to Katy every evening.Amenities: The coffee bar is cool and on the weekends I frequently go over there to get a cup just so I dont have to get the coffee maker out. I like to swim so the heated lap pool is very very nice. All three pools have large bars with two grills each, sinks and big flat screens. I had a group of friends over and the kids swam and we put burgers on the grill and they kept asking where was the butler with the champagne. It is like living in a hotel. Oh and i went to a fun and well-done party they put on in the nice party room.Apartment: The person who complained about the thin walls will be disappointed where ever she lives. I have heard my neighbors but I had to try and kinda felt like I was spying. I have not heard anything like a fight, but maybe that is just my experience. My apt is very nice too.

The floor plans are so great and the gas stove is a major seller. Unfortunately, our experience gets worse every year. There’s reoccurring vandalism in the garage in 3 years our cars were damaged twice. Most recently last week. SafeLite came to repair our 2 passenger side windows and had me bring the vehicle to the roof for more light and I took multiple photos of other cars with busted windows and another car on blocks. Rent is extremely high especially after being here for 3 years there’s no incentive to staying here except for I hate moving..... The leasing office is extremely slow to respond to emails as well. Reconsider signing a lease here.

Today, on October 3rd, a deeply alarming incident unfolded within our apartment. At precisely 6:52 am, a man tried to viciously assault my sister and attempted a heinous act of sexual assault. The horrifying reality is that she was in the process of escorting her children to the school bus stop when she discerned an ominous presence trailing her. Fortunately, I was engaged in a phone call with her at that very moment. In a desperate bid for immediate assistance, I promptly contacted the police and implored her to raise her voice, praying that a nearby neighbor might come to her aid. Regrettably, our apartment complex remains devoid of security cameras, rendering us utterly incapable of identifying the perpetrator. To exacerbate matters, there seems to be a complete absence of any intent on the part of the management to install surveillance cameras, leaving us in a state of profound distress, devoid of any information or recourse.

I lived there 2 years, had quite a few problems after the staff in three office changed.First the security they hired after the first year does nothing, my car was scratched up on property nobody had anything to say. The front gate is pot luck to if it will be working, it hit my car door once. I left a message on the office voicemail, they never returned my call. I called in to make an appointment for maintenance, to fix the toilet that had simmer black stuff draining into it, they never showed up. The light under the microwave was never replaced, or the one in the oven. The also used my email to find my social media and tell me to remove pics of me smoking a cigarette on property because they thought it was weed. They also asked me to remove any video with foul language because it reflects negatively on the living experience for others at the complex. When i asked to have the a/c in the bedroom looked at because it stayed warmer than the rest of the house i was told to set the temp to a lower temp. My house temp stayed on 70°.The list goes on but i will end with hire they took part of my deposit because the toilet had the black stuff in it that i complained about previously that was never fixed. My first year there was amazing, after staff changed it was horrible.

***UPDATE: I have moved out. I spent about a little over a year there. In which, it wasn’t terrible. It was just too pricey for everything that was going on. The reason I really ended up moving out is that towards the last 6 months of me living there, there was a lot of crime, specifically in the garage. 20-30 cars broken into once a month or every other month. When I had moved in I specially asked about the amount of break ins they had but of course they aren’t going to tell you that cars are getting broken into every month or so. There was a “courtesy officer” that was sleeping or watching movies most of the time. Since I’ve been there, there were 3 separate incidents where the car had been left on cinder blocks with all of the wheels gone. My boyfriends truck got vandalized and that was the last straw.I’ve been at the grove for almost 6 months now and the outside doesn’t look like much but the apartment interiors are very “luxury”. The amenities are also very nice! Everything always looks clean!!! and the floor plans just makes sense!! Before finding the grove, I had went to 8+ apartment complexes and there was just always something about them. Either they weren’t in a good location, floor plans didn’t flow, apartments weren’t maintenanced, or the front desk staff were not friendly at all!! So when I came to the grove it was so refreshing to meet Alethia!! She was very understanding and so friendly. Up until this day, everytime I go to the leasing office I stay and talk to Alethia and Carl unless they’re busy. The only thing I would have to say is that it seems that the walls are somewhat thin? Every night at around 10-11pm I can hear a couple yelling and their baby crying like clockwork. But other than that the hallways are normally quiet and I never hear people being rowdy or parties going on which is really nice! As for cars getting broken into, since I’ve been here there has only been one incident. There is a security guard sitting down stairs but they don’t drive around at night and I think that might be extremely helpful in deterring people from breaking into cars. But all in all, my experience so far has been very pleasant!

I have been living in The Grove at Wilcrest since December 2014 and I absolutely LOVE IT!! The property and the apartments are very high standards and beautiful! The management team and all the staff in the office are great, they are very friendly and helpful and do a great job at maintaining the propertys cleanliness and appearance, even the parking garage is clean and well kept!!! They are very attentive to apartment maintenances which are always fixed on the same day.....something I have not seen in other properties where I lived in the past. The amenities are over the top: awesome gym and pools, highly equipped business office and luxurious club room where I have held a couple of personal functions. They also hold fantastic community functions that are lots and lots of fun.The locations is a BIG bonus, central to many of Houstons Hot Spots and 5 minutes from City Center which is a great shopping and hangout location. Several grocery stores, CVS and Walgreens etc are few minutes away. All my friends whove visited me fell in love with the property....actually one of my friends moved here after visiting me once. Another big plus is that it is very quiet and I hardly hear any noise from the street.I highly recommend this place! The apartments, the staff and the neighbors are great and courteous! This apartment is managed very poorly. The gate is always broken, the hallways do not have sufficient a/c, the hallways smell of trash, and the trash shoots are always over flowing.During my time here several people had their tires stolen from their vehicles, even though there is a security guard who is suppose to be on duty every night. There are no cameras in any of the hallways or in the stairs so safety is a huge issue. The only area kept up with is the first floor near the office. With Greystar owning the apartment complex, a lot of things have fallen through the cracks and this is just not a good place to live anymore.

UPDATE-This is an update to the last review left here a few months ago. Do not trust all the 5 stars, management forces their guests to leave good reviews, mine included. They do it to meet a quota at the end of the month and bring in new people. I had multiple issues with the office management here and was told to leave a good review as they “handled” my issues. I told Andrea I would do it later and she asked me MULTIPLE times to do it in front of her and took my phone after I typed up the review and approved and posted for me. Also, you will be scammed at move out with ridiculous charges and when they show proof with their pictures they are extremely obscured and hardly visible. I was charged $800 dollars for “water” on floor boards which was caused by their leaky roofs during rainy season. Yet when I asked to see the pictures, you could literally see nothing. The “damage” was in one area yet I’m being billed for kitchen + living room replacement. So, now here I am having to involve a lawyer. Good luck.Beautiful apartment, great anemities and staff. Ask for Andrea, she’s the best, always helped resolve any issues. Only leaving because we bought a home, but this is the best apartment and didn’t have one complaint during our stay.

I have to leave this review for people who look like me that may want to rent here. I found there to be subtle discrimination in their practices. I do not think they welcome diversity. I may be wrong but my experience was awful. I have a 750-800 credit score. Making a good living and they still wanted me to jump through hoops. I dont work in a circus. If youre an ethnic minority, be aware of this. They may not treat you fairly. After I refused to comply with the unreasonable requests, they would only give me back my admin fee not the application fee. This to me is like a scam. Dont buy where you couldnt work. This place deeply disappointed me after I read these great reviews. Im going to see what I can do to address the discrimination. No one can convince me that they ask applicants to provide proof of future earnings. It doesnt even make sense.

Ive been living at the Grove practically since the day it opened. For the first two years I was very happy. The building and grounds are absolutely gorgeous.I have no complaints about the complex itself except for the horrible garbage smell in the hallways. You cant smell it on the first floor - Im guessing they take better care of it since the leasing office is on the first floor. Since the residents place their trash in a trash room on the floor they live on, it builds up sometimes and the smell is sickening. It doesnt happen once in awhile - it almost always smells badly. It seems that the odor has permeated the hallway walls and carpet.Parking is a HUGE issue at the Grove at Wilcrest. When I signed my lease the construction was not fully completed, including painting lines in the parking garage. I was told that I would be given two parking spots - one for myself and one for a guest. Every unit was supposed to be given two spots. For whatever reason parking spots were never designated. It is a fight to find parking on the floor that you live. Sometimes you have to park two or three floors from your apartment. If you park anywhere outside of the parking garage, even if there are no posted signs stating that parking is not allowed, the leasing crew will tag your car and threaten to tow it. Instead of following through with the promised designated parking, Finger Company, the management company for the Grove, chose to reserve several precious spots on each floor and charge a fee to park there. This is just another greedy way for Finger to make money. As if the high rents are not enough!Lastly and most importantly, my biggest issue is with the most recent leasing management team. Practically from the moment the new property manager took over the position, I and my guests have felt very uncomfortable living here. Some of the new rules are ridiculous and it feels like you are being followed around and watched constantly, if not by the nosy woman security guard who abuses her authority then its by the leasing team. One of the leasing agents in the office, who I will not name, is very condensending and she is not very friendly at all. However, I will say that Justin is polite and courteous at all times. What really makes me curious is why turnover is so high in the leasing office. We are on our fourth property manager in three years and the rest of the staff come and go at a very high rate. Im sure it has EVERYTHING to do with Finger Company.I had originally planned on signing another lease but will now be leaving this place and I am counting down the days until my lease expires.~Good Riddance~

However, I truly felt obligated, to express with integrity, my true opinion of Matt Harms a leasing agent at The Grove at Wilcrest, located in Houston,Texas. I give Matt a green score card and consider him a true asset/valuable employee to the Finger Company. The property itself is beautifully maintained. The amenities are a bonus and the amazing staff is the icing on the cake.I visited this property months before Matt became an employee of the company. I wasnt sure if the property met the criteria for my family needs. However, upon my family and I return months later, we met with an extremely knowledgeable, well rounded, outgoing, enthusiastic, well dressed gentleman by the name of Matt Harms. He eased the previous concerns that I had with my first visit and truly made me feel like I could call The Grove at Wilcrest home. Ill go ahead and begin with a con: I wish there was a code box by the door from the garage so guests could let themselves in. As it is, you have to walk to the garage door (which can be a long walk depending on where your apartment is) to them in. Pretty annoying, but I suppose it is safer than a lock box that anyone can learn the code to. Parking for guests is easy however, the 5th and 6th floor are always free-parking for residents is also never an issue-and there are 2 frieght sized elevators for each floor of the garage (Ive seen some that oddly only have an elevator for the first few floors-seems silly). I appreciate how responsive the office staff is with security. For example, there is a courtesy guard that monitors who comes and goes, and the parking garage is very well lit and never feels sketchy. They also closed the gate that faces Upland during the holiday season to avoid break ins, and chose to keep it locked. Speaking of Upland, if your unit faces that street, expect to hear street noise. The freeway noise isnt bothersome, as its more of a white noise, but the Upland street noise is quite loud. The apartments themselves are very nice. I loved having an AC hallway that was regularly maintained, and no valet trash; it makes the walk to your apartment much nicer. Trash is easy to dispose of in the trash room. The amenities are great, and having a pool thats heated year round is a huge perk-and having 3 pools is also awesome. The business center and gym are very nice as well. The office staff is very friendly and responsive-if you receive a package, you get an email, and they store them in the office until you pick them up. Maintaince is also great-always addressed within 24 hours. Plus, having a wine fridge in your island just makes everything better! Over all, a great complex. Id give it 5 stars if the units were better insulated to help with street noise-so consider this a 4.5 star review that you cant actually do on Google :) it was not a big enough issue to me to merit 4 stars. Loved living here for the year and a half that I did.

The apartment is really nice on the outside, and the staff is wonderful!!! I’m just having problems with my particular apartment has problems. There are rats/mice in the walls and you can hear them running and chewing on cords or wires at night and early morning... it’s actually gross, I took it upon myself to call pest control to confirm what I’m hearing is rats/mice and the walls and it is.... I told management about the mice/rat issue and they never responded back to me. My apartment also had an electrical issue when I moved in and that resulted my first light bill to be $400+, I did contact management and after 2 weeks of coming every other day it was fixed and they offered to pay it. On top of that the master bathroom water never gets hot unless the sink, shower, and tub is all running at the same time, they tried to fix it but it’s still not fixed. I also think that It is because the rats are running in the walls right next to the bathroom and they have been chewing on sounds like cords or wires in the wall.. SMH. I’ve only been here two months, and it’s frustrating because I have 2 little kids, and I just found out I’m pregnant and also found out I have cancer so the last thing I need is an extra high light bill for no reason, and mice/rats in the walls, and not being able to run a hot bath or shower without turning everything on. Other than that it’s a great place to live if you don’t have these issues. The people are nice, very safe and secure.

I used to be a big supporter of this place. I made excuses for them in regards to the security issues. I even renewed my lease and Im there till the beginning of 2017. What was the final two straws was this. First, the staff completely turned over in the office made significant promises at the meet the staff event. Yet as of 5 months later the only thing done was cleaning and repainted the lines in the garage. Which wasnt done correctly by the vendor so now theyre doing it again this month. The second reason is the price versus value. My girlfriend just moved into another apartment inside the loop near memorial park. Her place is less money and larger. The staff there is incredible. They give out gifts to the residents. The Grove gave out some gift cards to a fast food joint. The Grove just isnt worth what Im paying for my 1 bedroom. If it was $1,050 or $1,100 Id say maybe. If things do change and the value of this place improves prior to me moving Ill increase this review higher. Otherwise this is all the place is worth.

In less than one month the toilet was a CHAOS. for almost six months we were complaining and nothing was done, until one day I went to the office and noticed them that we were moving out for them to do something. They are careless about you, the price is not worth. The apartments are noise, paper thin walls, maintenance dont really fix things. Now, pest control is over the place because of the toilet problem, and once again complaining nothing is done. Therefore, I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL LIVING IN THERE. TRUST ME.

It has been nothing short of a pleasure to have had the opportunity to refer to the Grove as my home since 2016. I can truly say, without hesitation, that it is a wonderful complex. The grounds are beautiful (a signature distinction of Finger Properties), the common areas are well-kept, the amenities are outstanding, and the pools are definitely resort-style quality. Here is what you wont experience while on the property tour:During hurricane Harvey, hundreds of wide-eyed and worried residents gathered together in the common areas to seek power, WiFi, and a sense of support. It was a beautiful human experience to see this collection of households transformed into a loving and caring community. The shared experience of Harvey was the glue that brought us together, and brought about significant change in this communitys energy. It made of us a new tribe, of sorts. Such a wonderful dynamic. So many of the residents know each other, the staff calls you by name, and the maintenance staff waive and acknowledge us all.The Pros:1. Interior climate controlled hallways (think hotel). This saves on your energy bills. My electric for a 1 bdrm averages about $35 month.2. Elevators (need I say more?)3. Mature landscaping and well-kept grounds.4. Center Isle kitchens, granite, stainless appliances, large capacity washers/dryers.5. Fully equipped business center (that I use entirely way too much) some residents think Im on staff.6. Free Coffee!7. Kind, considerate, and caring staff.8. Move-in gifts!! Yay!The Cons: (Im having to think a bit harder to come up with these.)1. The fact that you have to share this wonderful place with HUMANS.2. Some humans are more congenial than others.3. Some humans dont necessarily like to clean up after their pets.4. You have to pay rent. (darn!)5. NASCAR drivers like to test their cornering in the parking garage.6. There is NO room service, ice machines, or turn-down service. Oh. I forget these are apartments......but it feels so much like a luxury hotel.Over the course of my tenancy, I have submitted routine maintenance requests, and they are always taken care of within 24 hours. The staff has always been friendly and responsive to my needs and the management is top notch and cares about their community and shows it by living on-site.While reading through these reviews, you will undoubtedly ALWAYS find a few that are less than 5 stars, and you might even see a couple of 1 stars. Please know that their experience is not typical. As humans, we often take a physical circumstance, and turn it into an emotional tirade complete with cutting remarks.I would take these lower ratings with a grain of salt. Over the course of my career I have managed property portfolios valued in excess of $3 Billion and I was raised by entrepreneurial parents who managed multi-family complexes. I say this only to empathize with the struggle of being caught in the middle as a property manager. Pressure from the owner, and pressure from your paying clients (the tenants). It is impossible to please 100% of the people, 100% of the time. Haley does a damn great job! Please know, the GROVE is not your typical apartment complex. I hesitate to even use the word, complex -- it is truly a community. If youre interested in this place....you wont be disappointed.

Do not live here. the only reason i had left a decent review before was to win some contest they were having. my apartment & my neighbors had mice. they sent maintenance to fix it but it was never truly fixed. its disgusting and the grove didnt even care. there are break ins in the parking garage, and if you end up living towards the back of the building you will be woken up very early every day by the auto shop next door. this place is not the paradise they want you to think it is.

The Grove was my first apartment when I moved to Houston from New York. Karl and the the managent team here made a difficult transition as easy as possible. You really cant beat the quality of the space, the amenities, or the office team in this area.. The only reason I Ieft was for a bigger space closer to my girlfriends office now that we are living together. I made countless memories in that building and both my apartment and The Grove team will be missed.

Apartment locators Alert...The Grove at Wilcrest wont pay your commission. They will complicate it, so you let go of your commission. They keep referring you to different departments or management companies, such as Greystar, and they wont answer your emails. Apt locators, dont waste your time bringing your clients to The Grove at Wilcrest. This is my personal experience with them, and so far, I havent been able to get my commission for three months. The staff here is absolutely amazing! Leasing agent Basma is the rockstar of the front desk team that includes a very charasmatic “Alethia” and cool guy “Carl”. I moved into the complex in December 2017 with a short term lease in mind (which are very difficult to find). Basma not only made it happen the same day but also made it possible to move in almost immediately! Every time I enter the office I’m always greeted by smiling faces and professional attitudes! I feel so welcome here! The property is beautiful, secure (restricted access with security at night), and located in one of the best spots in the central Houston area!

Do not trust anything the management says - this property is ran very immorally with low ethics. The management does not honor any verbal commitments and comes after your credit. Absolutely love everything about this property, the staff (ask for Roland), the amenities from the state of the art gym,multi-level business center, huge t.v.s throughout, a rec room, definitely a great meeting place or a place to reserve for a party! More amenities include the apartments and their layouts, the garage where we park, pools which are just about done, along with BBQ areas that include grilling stations and outdoor t.v.s, the security...all of it. We drove from the distance between both, PERFECT distance. A deciding factor was the distance to the Energy Corridor (place of employment) to City Centre; to the Energy Corridor which was 14 minutes by car and to the City Centre, less than five minutes by car. While the building is beautiful from the outside, we never expected SO much however, Roland showed us everything and there a lot.We met other young professionals who are already moved in and heard nothing but great things and since the building is not yet complete , we received a super offer from a wonderful staff, down to every detail of what there is and whats coming. The building is owned by Finger Companies, Mr. Marvee Finger, who is quite successful as he leaves out no detail and this building is proof positive. A few Texans had mentioned his company as well as his name, however, we had NO idea why the name and properties owned by him was a such a big deal; now we know why, it is very apparent throughout all of it.From those tenants I spoke with, there wasnt one negative complaint. No, I dont work for this company, we have no affiliation with them and Im not being paid to write this review :). Just happy that our son decided to move here after spending two full, non-stop days looking at other apartments, their amenities and the distances. The building is located between a public storage facility, straight ahead is I-10 and on the other side of the building is a lot with an abundance of trees. Now for the actual apartment. Just under 800 square feet of actual living space, our son rented the Birch model. Their are granite counter-tops in both the kitchen and bathroom; stainless steel appliances in the kitchen as well as a built in wine chiller, gas stove, double deep kitchen sinks; dark solid wood cabinets with tiled back splashes; wood flooring throughout the entry, kitchen and hallways. There is also an area over the kitchen counter that would easily hold two bar stools for sitting to eat, etc, The bathroom is huge for a 1/1, has large granite counter tops, darker cabinets, a tub and shower and tile throughout. Each apartment has its own washer and dryer. The bedroom is a perfect size and there are two large closets in the bedroom, along with other closets throughout the apartment. The living room/dining room is yet another great size area and has a balcony with great views. The window treatment on all windows and patio doors are classy and highly efficient. The best thing we did that day was to stop in and take a look at the units; now he couldnt be happier! Thank you to Roland and staff for really loving their jobs; its quite obvious by their actions! Best to All Always.

At The Grove at Wilcrest, the one thing that stands out to me is the outreach to the community of residents. Stay away, this people are after your money, they lack transparency in business practice. They lie about the prices and then try to talk you into getting another more expensive. I tried leasing at this complex and I started seeing red flags right away. Once you apply for an apartment they will tell you the price of apartment you want has gone up $200.00 more per month. They want you to pay the $500.00 deposit at the same time you do your application fee and if you get approved but decide not to take the apartment you will lose your deposit. I do understand that the $50 application fee is not refundable, but why asking for a deposit when you apply instead of when you move in. I wont be leasing here. Luckily I did not pay the deposit, else I would be minus $550.00.

Moved in recently. The property itself seems really nice. Its pretty well maintained although I have seen a few roaches in the hallways, which makes me worry a bit as to what we will see the longer we are here.Biggest problem is at move-in we paid the amount we were asked to pay, then two weeks later we receive a letter on our door saying we owe more money. Part of the reason was since we moved in towards the end of the month we had to pay a pro-rated rent, and they are not giving us our monthly discount on that month. They figured the pro-rate on full market cost. This was NEVER mentioned during the leasing process. Also, when I went in to ask about the extra amount we owed, the accountant in the front office could not explain how the exact amount was figured. Very frustratingAlso, if you are moving here make sure you ask about cable/internet. The only ones that can install directv/att is a company called directpath. Without going through a long story, we were not told this, and did not have internet for our first week and tv for our first several days because of this.Property itself seems nice so far, the pool areas are awesome and the residents seem good.

I absolutely HATE living here. Not worth the pricing at all. The walls and ceilings and doors are paper thin. You can here everything anyone around you is doing. And dont bother bringing it to the managements attention, they will do nothing about it. Ive had to call the police to get disturbances settled. There have been so many break ins and ppls car beings broken into or wheels/rims taken off. The so-called Security does nothing but stand in the front on their phones. I see very little to no patrolling. Just a few weeks back there was a random guy in my hallway beating on another residents door like he was gonna take it down. Id never see the guy before. How am I supposed to feel safe? Im moving out ASAP!!! I dont feel comfortable here and its soooooo not worth the money. A huge disappointment in my book. HUGE!!!

Ive sent it several complaints to the front office and nothing is ever done. Ppl just leave trash in random places thruout hallways. For the 1250 bucks a month this place is a Joke. All the other reviews about security are correct. They just sit on a golf cart up front and do nothing all night but stare at phone rather than doing some kind of patrolling.
