Hey everyone and anyone who checks out reviews I pray this one helps you all to not make the same mistake as me. I bought a DR Horton Home which uses Airtron for their AC system installation. 6 months after my closing I had to have my AC checked out over 6 different times by 4-5 different technicians at each visit a tech found something wrong first it was my ac vents were installed in all of the wrong directions for proper air flow okay next visit oh my main vent is not opening last but not least finally last two visit I needed all of the airflow little gray boxes changed out because they all were not working properly the lights for the airflow control are all green right now because the system is off however whenever it’s on they are read and airflow don’t open which causes the red lights to turn on. Needless to say it is now two yrs later and I just had to call them out to the house because we are just discovering that our heater function is not working. If you are wondering why we are just find this out it’s because we leave half of the year in Texas and the other half in Oregon so when we are out here we usually use the ac or no system at all now this year winter has gotten real cold so we turned our heater on first the first yesterday and we trouble shooted it our selves just to figure out that two of the 3 airflow control will not open surprise surprise NOT so i recommend using and finding another company because we haven’t had to call Any other warranty and non warranty work on anything else in our home other then this AC system. You’ve been warned 😫

So far, no complaints whatsoever. Ive only had to call them twice and both were for reasonably minor issues, but they dispatched a tech within a day or so. Were still under warranty and none of the calls have required any payment (we recently signed up for their Essential Home Care plan, the terms on which are quite attractive for the very reasonable monthly cost).The tech, Andy, has been the same each time. Probably one of the best techs weve ever worked with. Courteous, knowledgeable and ready to help. Our last call was because our system was making strange noises when it was very cold. Turns out this was normal, part of the defrost cycle. He could have chuckled at my naivete, but - instead - tricked the system into defrost mode so that I could verify the sound I was hearing and that it was normal. I hope that theyll dispatch Andy for each of our service needs.

Didn’t like the technician they sent out at all. Very pushy and abrasive personality. It was an inconvenience to him that I had a meeting. And maybe it’s just me, but I was taught that you never ever go into a strangers home and just sit on their furniture without asking permission. He took it upon himself to sit on my recliner while he was doing his iPad report. I thought that was very inappropriate. Later I called the customer service number to get my report sent over by email, and I mentioned to the rep that I was not happy with the technician. The lady on the phone just said “so sorry“. She didn’t do anything about it or offer to connect me with the right person. I could let know about it.

I had an outstanding experience with Alex from Airtron ! They were punctual, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. My heater was acting up during the coldest week of the year, and Alex quickly diagnosed the issue and provided a clear explanation of the problem and the solution.Not only did they fix the heater efficiently, but they also gave me great advice on maintenance to prevent future problems. I can’t say enough good things about this heating and air-conditioning company! The technician, Andy was on time and highly professional and knowledgeable. He was able to diagnose our issue right away.I’m so glad I had the EHC plan. They found a faulty part in my air conditioning system that would’ve cost me hundreds of dollars to fix, but since I was a plan member, the part and labor was covered! If you don’t have this plan, I highly recommend getting it! It will pay for itself in the first call!!If you’re looking for an HVAC company that cares about their customers, this is the company for you!

Poor service from their phone representatives. I was told someone would call the next day to come out and fix our a/c. Instead I get told someone will come by 2 days later because they didn’t schedule me until a day after I spoke to them so who knows how many people were scheduled during this time. They claim to be 24 hours but clearly that is false when they can’t even schedule appointments when you call on a weekend. There is a heat advisory for this week but that doesn’t matter because they don’t care about taking care of their customers in a timely manner even when you have small kids. Started off great, but now I’m reconsidering this whole agreement.Updating my review since everything is completed. It took over 4 phone calls and 5 days to get our HVAC fixed with all of the phone calls being from me. No one called to tell me when the parts we needed came in or to schedule the follow up on when someone was coming to fix it. These are really basic level things. I asked to have a manager call me and no one did. For 5+ days our home was unlivable (89degrees) and no one cared to have any urgency. I’m really saddened by the lack of human compassion. The technician couldn’t even look us in the eye when we told him how long we waited. He did a great job, but nothing else from this process was great.

I have a home that is less than three years old, due to the very poor job done on the insulation of the ac ducts and plenums I now have a severe mold problem inside the home! This is very disappointing and a great health hazard for my family. I don’t know why these builders use this company!? Maybe to increase profits?

Our tech, Calvin, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He finally fixed our noise issue and explained the cause. He also checked to ensure a prior repair was done correctly (it was) and followed up to make sure we were able to take advantage of a promotion.

The appointment was scheduled for today between 8 am and 12 pm. Unfortunately, I did not receive any communication regarding delays. At 11:56 am, I contacted the office to inquire about the technicians status and received a call from the technician at 12:02 pm stating that I was next on their list. Had I not initiated contact, it appears that no one would have arrived. I am now forced to seek alternative arrangements at a premium rate to address the heating issue in my home before the impending freeze this week.

I honestly don’t know how this company has positive reviews. We just bought a brand new home 5 months ago and for the last 3 weeks our house has been 81 degrees. We have had two techs come out and tell us they didn’t find any issues. The first guy told us our AC unit is definitely not large enough to support our house but not to tell anyone he told us that. We have had multiple people and other AC companies tell us a 2 ton isn’t large enough for our home. It takes a week to get someone else to come out. I have 3 kids, one being a baby and they think it is okay to live like this. Who wants to sleep in a home at 81 degrees? Our neighbors have told us they have had issues as well. This company is a joke

Horrible service from this company and people that answer the phones. I bought a new house and have not had heat since we moved in two weeks ago. They were not able to get me on the schedule until then and have me an 8-12 window I took off work and waited ALL DAY for them to keep telling me the tech had ONE quick job before me and would be to me soon. This kept on ALL day and when I called crying on the phone about it being freezing cold in this house sure to the temp being 60 in the house I was rudely told by Paula the representative that I was not freezing and I will just have to continue waiting. She was very rude and nasty and condescending and has no empathy for me or my kids who have been in this house with no heat for so long.

A one star review is too generous for this company. They have absolutely no integrity whatsoever. We had our entire outside AC unit replaced in 2021. The technicians informed us that not a single item in it was going to be covered under warranty. They gave us 2 options, pay $2100 out of pocket for a part, or they would be generous enough to sell us a brand new system for $14,000. We asked them to call the warranty company to verify this information and allied insurance assured us that the part was going to be covered. The technician was clearly annoyed by this information. We declined their service and went with RLC Services, who informed us that it was only a bad capacitor and that it would be 100% covered by the insurance. Save your money and do not call these dishonest clowns.

Horrible company to deal with. We have been in our Brand newly built home for 5 months and the air has gone out 3 times. We scheduled one appointment with technician for Thursday, technician came Saturday and said he couldn’t find anything wrong. Next time it went out we scheduled appointment and technician never came. Each time it went out we turned the Air off for several hours and then it would start back working. We live in Texas and not having air for several hours is dangerous and a bad idea.. Since we moved in our new home the air has been on 70 to keep the house cool not cold. What else can we do.Why do we have a warranty if they not going to do anything about issues we have.

Since I bought my house back in 2002, I have been with Airtron Air Conditioning company for my Air Conditioning maintenance & other services. I have been with this company because I can rely on the work that they do. Jim McKinney is one of the best employees this company has. He is very knowledgeable, courteous & professional when dealing with customers.Donna Dozier is one of the managers that I like to deal with all the time. She is very understanding, considerate & patient when dealing with customers. She tries to help you in any way she can to resolve any air condition issues you might encounter..In my opinion these two employees are a great asset to the company. They do their best to resolve any A/C issues you might have.I strongly recommend this company for your air conditioning needs.

Our air conditioner was not working properly and not reaching the set temperature on the thermostat. On two separate days our home reached unbearable temperatures. Finally on 5/15 Airtron was contacted by our maintenance department.I received a phone call from Sam at the company and after my explaining what was happening she was able to secure an appointment for a technician within an hour. I was extremely impressed with her listening skills, her necessary questions and her troubleshooting acumen. She was a real professional.Keith arrived within the designated time and immediately went out to the unit after listening to our complaints. He completed the repair and before leaving explained the problem in both technical and layman’s terms.Sam and Keith at Air Tran are to be commended. They made 2 Senior Ladies very happy, and cool and comfortable!

I did however feel like I needed to share that if you are going to use this company, please make sure that you do price comparison with other companies. They are asking for double the price of what Two other companies wanted to top off the Freon on the maintenance check that we just had. I have nothing against companies making a little bit of money, but this was ridiculous. When I called the office and talked to a lady named Cheryl, she was very helpful and answered my questions with the help of a manager.Will never use this company again!

Called Airtron as my ac technician that I hired was being told that my compressor was not under warranty. Called Airtron myself to see what as going on as Trane is showing my warranty was still valid. Airtron informed me that I was out of warranty by two weeks. I asked why is there a discrepancy between the company that provides the warranty and the company that services. Was told I need to go through airtron and its techs if Trane is showing a valid warranty. Makes no sense. Asked who did my ac tech needed to call to confirm warranty, and Airtron said it would need to be through them which is misinformation. We called the AC parts store and asked them if they had my compressor in stock and if its under warranty- although they couldnt give me full details, they at least were able to confirm that it IS still under warranty. If you guys wanted to keep my service, this was not the way to do it.

Purchased a maintenance plan a little over a month ago and received my tune up today. Found out my capacitor was going bad or bad and had tube replaced. My technician Jonathan did a great job at explaining and taking his time to complete the tuneups that were needed. Definitely recommend Airtron and the maintenance plan to save you money in the long run.

I’ve been with this company for 14 years plus I even have one of their monthly contracts. I think it’s great, but let me tell you a story of what happened had an AC check up the young man who did my AC check up said oh there’s something wrong with your system. He did not sound confident he did not sound like he’d been there long. When I spoke to someone else, they said he’d been there less than a year, another technician comes out and says oh you need a coil. So I contemplate paying $4000 for coil at least I thought $4000 we’re getting a new system if the salesman comes out and I ask him about the new system doesn’t really give me a concrete price Eventually he does and I got a little discount because I have their monthly contract what would cost me $13,000 as opposed to 16 for a 3 ton system. I did ask how much a coil, but he never gave me a response when he figured out that I may want an entire new system Well I thought I was getting a deal and then at 6:30 in the morning. so the next day at 6:30 in the morning mind you I’m a senior. I receive a phone call from the salesman Henry who says you really shouldn’t have a three because we will have to red duct all of your air conditioning and it will cost you a whole lot more money somewhere in the range of $16,000 go with a 2 1/2 half and you’ll save$300 from the $13,000 I was quoted.Hang in there I’m getting to the problem so I decided that that was just too much and I wouldn’t get what I wanted in the first place so then I asked about a coil well the salesman told me 5000 but because I had the contract with them it would be 3000. by this time Henry had contacted his sales manager and this is what the sales manager told now going back-and-forth originally the man said OK I’m going to reduce you to $2600 for the coil. Oh, but because you’ve gone through so many difficulties with the system with trying to get a system or fix your air conditioner I’m gonna drop you down to 2100 I thought it was good price I agreed. The guys come out do the work by the way the guys who actually do the work the good stuff the technical stuff they’re great they’re friendly they’re nice. At the end I get this bill and the bill says $2600 so I had to dispute with the technician he called the sales manager Henry Says it’s 2600 so he calls his boss and says oh I never told you $2100. Granted you told me this at 6:30 in the morning but clearly you have to know that I was awake. I have learned one lesson get it in writing or don’t get it at all.

I also appreciated the confirmation call about 30 minutes prior to their arrival. I had scheduled an appointment with them twice, and every single time, they said the technician would be there between 12pm and 5pm. Then, right at 5pm They called me and said the tech was ready to head my way. The first time, he didnt show up until 630pm. The second time was exactly the same. This is the most unprofessional service I have ever experienced. They really do not value your time as a customer. I would not recommend this at all. They look like they have high rating, but I am certain all the bad reviews are paid to be buried all the way at the bottom so that you dont see. please be aware of this company.

Alex was wonderful! He was dispatched to our home to look over a few issues we had concerning our AC unit. I cannot thank him enough for his patience in listening to me explain the issues at hand. He got to work and was able to find many issues due to improper install. (I believe another company completed the install) His knowledge was impressive as he was able to diagnose the problem from my non -technical description. He was also able to get proper air flow to my sons bedroom, which the previous 2/3 AirTron service techs could not. He was so kind and explained everything to us in great detail. We are happy that our AC unit will be working at full capacity now due to his adjustments. We followed through a recommendation by the builder to balance the entire HVAC system when we completed moving into the house. We could feel some rooms being too cold and some being not cold enough. I am updating a previous review. I previously gave a technician, Alex, five stars. He deserved them. A more recent experience is just the opposite.A Broan ERV stopped operating properly on 9/13. A senior technician came out on 9/18. He talked with the manufacturer, changed some settings, and said if it did not come on and work properly by the end of the day to call Airtron. They would replace the unit. The unit never came on. I notified Airtron and emailed the technician.By 9/24 I had still heard nothing. I called Airtron and again emailed the technician. A representative said she would check and call me back. By 9/26 there was still no call. I called again. A service rep named Sam assissted me. She said she would find out what the status was and call me back. She called back before the end of the day with the status. Kudos to Sam. She gets five stars.A senior technician is to come out again. The unit is to be evaluated again. Why? It is to be the same technician. Why not just replace the unit as promised?I purchased a new Beazer home last year. The install on the HVAC unit had numerous problems. This problem with the ERV and the poor response by Airtron is just another example of Airtrons inadequacies.

I wish my experience with Airtron was just a pleasant as some of the reviews I have read. I just purchased a new home (just hit a month of living here) and my issues with my AC has been ongoing. I have two young kids, one which has a medical issue and it’s reached 90 degrees in my home. Yet I have to wait 5 days for a technician to come resolve the issue. Not being made a priority or given the courtesy to get this issue fix sooner is truly disheartening and ruining the experience of being a new homebuyer. Well this company was used to install the HVAC system in our new M/I Home. Since day one we have had concerns about having a 2.5 ton 14 seer unit for our 1 story 2106 sq ft home(4bed/3bath). The unit can not accommodate our home to the desired temperature we would like. Both builder and AC company states there is a report that was done that informs both builder/ac company what size unit the house needs based on sq footage, type/rating of insulation trough out the home, how many rooms, windows, doors, how the sun hits home at sunrise/sundown ect, ect, which I’ve requested several times from both to see said report. Both state the other can only provide which is basically giving me the run around. My thought is the builder gave the contract for HVAC work to airtron and told them what to install and they install cause who wouldn’t want to have a contract with a builder for installing All HVAC systems in said homes. The AC company knows that the unit is too small for our home especially in the south Texas region and refuses to say it to avoid the loss of the contract. Profit over doing the right thing for both builder and ax company. I’ve called several AC companies (including Airtron) which of course always want to come look at location to give a more accurate quote but me insisting just a ball park with the information I have to please just let me know a size unit that the home would need and the avg quote given was a 4 ton unit. Even online research sated 3.5ton-5ton and was 4 also.And if there was a actual inspection report done to determine the size unit needed for the home based on information as described above the the homes in neighborhood would have a small variety for units but what I’ve found out so for is 2story homes get 3.5tons and 1storyhomes get 2.5 ton.1star rating for the simple fact that they are to scared to say anything to builder about the unit size to keep a contract (which I get) rather than insuring homes get the correct size HVAC system the home actually needs. Even the techs the company has sent to “check” unit to insure it’s working properly stated the unit is to small and at min3.5 ton needed.

Where do I begin, had the AC go out. Took over a week for them to find out the compressor in my AC was filled with holes. Been in this new house for less than a year so it is under warranty. They ordered a new compressor. It has been 2 weeks since they ordered it a still no compressor. It has been ~88 degrees in my home for almost a month now in May in Texas. It took them a week to finally offer a portable AC so I can sleep. Lasted 30 minutes before it broke and leaked all over my floor. Somehow no estimated time on delivery for the compressor. I didnt know it was still possible to ship something without tracking.Edit: They fixed the AC. It is now less than a month later and it already broke again.

3 year old house. AC Motor and motherboard needed to be replaced under Carrier warranty. The downside is they charge for labor even if parts are covered under the warranty.Option 1: Sign up for Airtron maintenance plan during my initial phone call for $31 monthly 1 year contractOption 2: pay $120 service fee for tech to come out and diagnose the problem.Option 3: Pay $120 diagnostic fee then sign up to $31 monthly plan with AC tech to avoid the $700 labor fee to install motor and new control board.I chose option 3, the worst option because I didn’t know about labor charges even if parts covered under the warranty.Airtron had to order the parts. They took 1 week to come in. Then, during the 2nd visit the tech determined the control board had to be replaced and they had to order it. That took another 3 days. So in all I was without AC for about 2 weeks.All the techs are friendly. Of course I’m not happy about having to spend a lot of money to have system fixed under the Carrier warranty. Tech said a lot of Carrier systems are failing in the same way.All the techs were friendly and their customer service was great. I’d give them 5 stars. But the wait and the fees are making me drop my star rating to 3.

Gilbert did an amazing and very clean job installing a p-trap on my A/C unit, he went the extra mile and also installed insulation where there wasnt before. When he finished, he explained to me how the p-trap works. This is something I always appreciate. Then he proceeded to ask me if there was something else I needed in a very cordial manner. Great experience with Cristian! My parents are more comfortable speaking Spanish and AirTron was able to send over a technician that spoke Spanish and was able to communicate with my parents easily. I really appreciate Noah’s and Leo’s professional courtesy and knowledge. They came in, quickly diagnosed the issue with my AC, and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. They also took time to explain the issue to me, and guide me on the quickest way to cool the house after two days of no AC. They just left, so we will see if everything is working as it should. But so far, the velocity and increase of air in my master bedroom has already seemingly improved and hopefully I won’t hear anymore noises when the AC is turning on/off. I’m writing this review in regards to your Technician Shannon Glaze. The showman texted us to let us know that he was on his way, and arrived shortly after, and came in and talk to us to have us explain what the issues we were having with our thermostat. He patiently walk us through the steps on how to use this thermostat, and answered any, and all of our questions posed to him. He is one of the most polite people. We had the most positive experience when Rosalio, aka Leo, visited our home to troubleshoot our AC. He is probably one of the most valuable assets that Airtron has.For background, we bought our house in 09/2022, and the HVAC had a 2 year warranty, but only 1 year for air balancing. We called them out for air balancing in 08/2023 because two rooms in our house were either way too hot or way too cold. The guy back then adjusted the dampers but nothing else.Fast forward to 02/2024, several guests who’ve stayed overnight have commented that those rooms are too hot or too cold, so we called Airtron out to figure out what was going on. They said air balancing is no longer covered and would be $460+. But we called them out anyway.The fact that they sent Leo was the best thing to happen to two Texans frustrated with their AC. He told us that our dampers weren’t even powered! Not actuating at all. It wasn’t even an air balancing issue: the whole system hasn’t worked properly for 17 months. The last technician may have adjusted the dampers, but didnt even bother check to see if they had power supplied to them.We peppered him with so many questions (we are engineers, so naturally we want to know exactly how everything works), and Leo was so patient and incredibly knowledgeable. He answered all our questions and even gave us tips and advice on how to maintain our system. After he diagnosed the issue, he ran a diagnostic test on the whole system (since apparently it wasnt operating properly this whole time), checked all the details and metrics, fixed anything that was even slightly less than satisfactory, and now our AC actually works!!!Leo commented that the first guy certainly didn’t do anything because had he even looked, he should’ve known the system was unpowered.If you ever need to call Airtron for a technician in the Houston area, ask for Leo.Airtron, give Leo a BIG RAISE!
