I am completely dissatisfied with the representative of this company. For months he kept reaching out to me via text after their initial low ball offer. The same guy kept after me “Leo” but when I finally decided to give them another shot. They wouldn’t budge on their initial offer of $5k which was $15k under the actual going rate and told me that our vacant land was too small. It is a standard lot size of 105’ x 85’ which is the size of most of the lots in the Port Charlotte Florida area of South Gulf Cove. Are you kidding me? I would not recommend this company. Perhaps a different brand representative would have made a difference, but when I asked. I was told he was the only one I could deal with.My advice is sell privately or use a reputable real estate company. That is what we are doing and now have multiple offers.

Everyone we dealt with at American Home Buyers made the process smooth. There was never any pressure, all choices were ours. They work with whatever choices you as a seller need to make. Everyone was friendly, and professional. We sold and closed in 2 weeks. Which made it a fast process. Never knew 2 weeks can go by that fast. Two weeks was our choice. We could have gone longer, but it worked out. We gave no regrets about selling to American Home Buyers.

I thought things would be more complicated because I live out of state but the staff at AHB made everything easy starting with April Fisher who connected me with David Mackey. We are in our 70s and have lived in our home for 44 years. Although we made some repairs and updates over the years, it needed kitchen, bath and Sheetrock/paint updates again. We signed the contract that day and closed 2 weeks later. Our funds were wired into our bank account at closing. Very easy and Mika and his staff were so nice and helpful!

They went above and beyond for me ran into some issues but they was right there, even getting me an attorney that worked with me and was willing to wait until the house was sold to get payment for her services. Highly unprofessional. We saw their commercial on tv and thought maybe they were professional and an honest company to look into while we are in the process of selling our home. Boy were we wrong. In the little interaction with this company there were several red flags. First it started with 3 different emails from Arlene that she got information about wanting to sell our home and proceeded to include the wrong address each time. The address was actually to my job which I NEVER included where or what my job was. Second interaction was with the receptionist when I called to speak with Rodolfo whom shot me a text about selling my home. The receptionist answered laughing (must’ve interrupted the good time) she then transferred me to Rodolfo who answered his phone with a “what’s up”. When I told him who I was he apologized saying he thought it was his co-worker calling him. Last but not least after telling him our situation and that we weren’t ready to schedule someone to come out yet as my son is high risk, we wanted to just get a generalized idea of numbers and he told me he couldn’t do that and I had to schedule a virtual appointment with Bryce. Well we already know we could’ve gotten a guesstimated idea based off the information we provided because we had gotten it from a realtor and another investor. Totally disappointed in the company. We are trying to find the best path to take during our selling process and this whole experience felt like a waste of time.

American Home Buyers came and looked, and offered me a price that I thought was very fair. After some time due to one of the heirs, we were finally able to close. I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! I cant sell a house I dont own. Even though I have called twice AND snail mailed the company, Mika B. Selfs office continues to send snail mail about a house that belonged to a person that died in 2019 and was forclosed on in January of 2022. It seems like no matter what you do, you are forever stuck on their mailing list. Thanks for the painful constant reminders of our family member that has passed away.

American Home Buyer (AHB) did a first rate job in helping us find a buyer. While we weren’t necessarily in a bind or under any time constraints, we have 5 siblings and neither of us were thrilled with putting money or time into improvements. So we decided we’d give AHB a chance. After agreeing on an acceptable offer and time frame, AHB went right to work and secured a buyer. We finished up the whole process in just a few short weeks. They’re friendly folks who made the whole process headache free. There’s give and take with any route you choose to take, but give AHB a call before making a decision. AHB made; what could have been a very distressing event, very easy. They are upfront with the process and while no one ever gets what they think their house is worth, they are not high pressure or condescending. These are the most incompetent people ever. When you call someone unsolicited and they tell you theyre not interested in selling their property(s) AND ask to be put on their Do Not Contact list, that means DO NOT CONTACT THEM AGAIN! It does not mean call them 5-7 times a week at all hours on the both home & the cell phones. Your 7:AM calls make me want to hunt you down and discuss it in person. Maybe if you hired people who are not ESL someone could comprehend what No Thank you & do not call again means. Keep it up and one of these times I am going to act interested just to lure one of you out in the open.
