From the first visit with the technician (Shane) up to the installation crew of the equipment that I needed, this was a top notch experience with this company. The receptionist/ dispatcher was also tops. I never had to call her, she was always proactive and kept me informed of every detail in advance. This was truly a stress free experience. Thank you.

We had the best experience with Comfort Star, Habib (owner), Miguel and Marco (who did the replacement and reinstallation of air duct & plenums).Our house was built in the 1960s and we have always had AC issues since moving in.Regardless of the type of units installed, the AC was loud when it turned on and the house was simply not cool enough. We could never get the temp to be lower than 79 degree no matter how long the AC was kept running.Last year, we had the furnace, compressor, and coil replaced, but the problems remained. What’s worse, the drain line kept getting clogged, shutting down the AC altogether. For several nights I had to take a wet vacuum to suck up all the water in the pan so that we won’t be without AC. It was a nightmare.I called the AC guys who installed the units, they blamed the clogging on the type of insulation in my attic and said there’s nothing they can do about the situation. I didn’t believe them. I called 4 companies (including Comfort Star) to come over and see what’s wrong with our HVAC system. Of the 4 companies I called, one company flat out refused to do the job because it was “too complicated”, another company sent someone who was very new to the business and only took pictures. Comfort Star was the ONLY company that sent over someone who is really experienced with the HVAC system. Habib was the owner who came over to look at our system, he was in the attic for 10 minutes and immediately identified a number of problems. He then spent almost half an hour in the attic explaining and showing me what the problems were and what needed to be done.Due to many units improperly installed, the job was costly, and we had a lot of questions. Habib was always patient and quick in answering them, which was truly appreciated.On the day of duct replacement, Miguel and Marco came and worked from 7am to 9pm. They were on time and extremely courteous.What impressed me the most is that they really cared about making sure everything is done right. We had an issue after they finished the job and although it was Sunday afternoon, Habib came right away to resolve the issue.Now my AC is working quietly and cooling the house very effectively. If I have problems in the future, I will not hesitate to contact Habib because I trust he and his team will do a good job. Our AC went out and calling Comfort Star was the best decision ever! They were able to fit us in quick with a next day appointment to diagnose the problem. Shane arrived right on time and was very thorough. He understood our situation and gave us a few options to go with. We really could not afford to get a new unit but by the grace of God, family stepped in to help. Javier and his crew arrived today and did the work efficiently and thoroughly. They made minimal distractions coming in and out of the house, as my 89 year old mother whos in a lift chair, watched them go to work! The entire job only took 4 hours and now we are cold! lol. Habib stopped by to check on the guys and took time to chat with us. Mom asked if Javier could be her new boyfriend! Laughed so hard! This was a referral from my trusted neighbor and we will definitely be using Comfort Star for all future AC services. We had no idea that our airhandler inside unit was 2001!!! They really saved us because there was so much mold and dirt caked on everything for way too long. Oh, and Elita in the office was phenomenal! Very thorough to get us all of the paperwork we needed.THIS WAS OUR old unit and the guy that serviced us in the past, when we needed freon or clogged drip pan never mentioned a word.

Another great install by Comfort Star!! - cant recommend them highly enough. They replaced unit #1 a few years back, and kept unit #2 operating for 26 years until, well, it was that time to replace. They carefully measured the volume needed to be cooled plus other unique characteristics, and came up with a 2-zone properly sized unit. Plus we have these fancy new thermostats. The person they sent out to look at my HVAC was trying to disclaim my service with SUPER. He was not interested in fixing the problem. I had to throw him off my property and will never use this company again. If they hire inept employees then they should not used by anyone. He also arrived late and broke my addict stairs.

About a year ago, my outdoor AC unit started having issues. My home warranty company sent Shane, who explained that the unit was on its last legs and recommended that I take a payout from the warranty company and put it towards a replacement unit, for which he gave me an estimated cost that included the warranty payout. Well things did not work out with the home warranty company, which basically refused to cover anything. I spoke with Habib, and he honored his word by installing the new unit for the estimated cost, covering what the warranty company wouldnt.I also told Shane that the old unit, installed on the roof, caused the house to vibrate. He made sure to install some vibration damping material, which solved the issue. Overall a great experience, I just wanted to wait until we got through a summer (a brutal one at that) before leaving a review.I have since dropped my home warranty and will use these guys whenever we have an issue. Thanks Shane and Habib, I have no doubt it would have been a miserable summer without the new unit!

Comfort Star is an excellent company. I called my Warranty Company about my air-conditioning not working and they assigned Comfort Star who scheduled me for the same day. The receptionist that i talked to on the phone was very professional and courteous, and scheduled me for the same day based on my availability. I received a courtesy call 45 mins prior to the technician arrival to let me know that he is on his way. The technicians name was Shane who arrived at my place on exact scheduled time. He was was extremely friendly, professional, honest, courteous, and knowledgeable. He explained and showed everything to me, and replaced the capacitor. The air-conditioning was back running and cooling perfectly within a few minutes. I strongly recommend them!

I decided to get two opinions on an A/C issue and I’m thankful that I did. One A/C guy was recommended by my neighbor (because she had told me earlier that she knew a guy) and the other was Comfort Star (which I had used before - Shane both times). I called Comfort Star and was annoyed by the $65 service fee because the other guy didn’t charge anything for coming to take a look.Long story short, the other guy charged me $160 to replace a part that he thought would fix it (it didn’t - it stopped working 15 minutes after he left). He then came back the next day and said I needed to replace my entire AC unit ($3800 total included the friend discount). I was planning on canceling the Comfort Star appointment because I trusted the other guy but I’m glad I forgot. Shane from Comfort Star showed up and I expected confirmation of what I was told two hours before. Instead, I was told that the problem was obvious and no need to replace the entire unit as everything else was in good condition. It ended up costing $400 to fix, but more importantly, he fixed it on the spot versus a 4 days later (which might as well be a year without A/C in Houston).Anyway, I’m very glad I kept the appointment. They saved me a lot of money (and stress from not having A/C). I learned my lesson and it’s great having a working A/C again.

I own a business so I know the level of standard I hold my own employees and technicians. I sent a request to Comfort Star on their website outlining the issue and they responded within a few hours and said they could have someone out the same day. I wasnt available same day so I scheduled the following late afternoon. Dispatch called me back and let me know that the tech could be there early afternoon if needed - this worked out perfect and he was right on time. The technician (Bert), was one of the most professional and knowledgeable technicians (at any company I have dealt with). In addition to diagnosing and correcting the issue, he gave me a great introduction to Comfort Star and outlined all of the services offered and their capabilities ... never seemed salesy or like he was trying to push anything, just 100% professional technical company representation. Comfort Star is by far the best company we have had to work with our AC and Heating units. We encountered them through our home warranty company but would use them regardless of this. Everyone at Comfort Star is friendly... from the office staff that create appointments and alert you when the technician is coming to the technicians and managers. We had a HUGE job completed with our Duct work this summer, where it was all replaced... I felt like the technicians cared about doing a good job, they all have pride in their work and really make me feel comfortable with my decision to use thier services. I most recently had a technician come to fix my heater (we’ve had a similar problem each fall where the heater just won’t come on). Most companies just come and jiggle the switch and it turns on...literally that has happened to me 3 years in a row. This year I asked my warranty company to send Comfort Star only ... today we found out WHY it hasn’t been coming on right away each year... our technician spent over half an hour in our attic figuring out what was really wrong and actually FIXED the issue. I would recommend Comfort Star without reservation to anyone needing repairs or new systems. They care. They do incredible and thorough work. I’ve used comfort Star for years because they are an honest and fair company. The owner is extremely hands-on, which is something that I value. At every service, each rep has troubleshot the problem correctly, but they always take that extra step to run it by their team so you’re not just getting the 1 person’s opinion. When I call, they know my entire service history and it’s often the owner who is calling back within the hour!You never really know if someone is being honest with you about what services you need until you have tried or not tried their recommendations for several years. I can attest to the fact that Comfort Star is looking at the long term overall health of the AC unit and NOT trying to scam you on a quick buck that leads to another service in the future.Their honest assessment of what needs to be done now and what can wait helps me to plan/save for the future. Very professional service. We had our whole unit replaced and installed in 2015 by Comfort Star. The advise we got was to the point and now a year later we are very happy with their recommendation. Comfort Star was assigned for a warranty repair of the AC condenser coil. The parts were ordered and delivered but were held in quarantine for 3 days per the new company policy. We have used Comfort Star for about a year now. They were sent by the home warranty company and we now request them by name. I was having problems with one of my air conditioning units, and I was referred to Comfort Star Emergency AC Repair. They went way above the call of duty. They were very responsive and honest. The technician and the office staff were very professional, concerned and upfront. The technician, was upfront and told me that he replaced a part, but that the unit was over 30 years old, and would probably need replacing soon. Over the next couple of weeks, the Office Manager even called to check on us. We did end up having to replace the furnace. The price was fair, the technician and crew did an excellent job, and they even helped me get financing.

Great service at a great price! The owner was very responsive to my request for a quote to repair/replace the coil in the evaporator unit at my house. He showed up the same day to inspect and did his best to schedule the repair for the next day which is pretty impressive given the amount of AC repair jobs in Houston after hurricane Harvey! FANTASTIC COMPANY!! OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!! My fan inside the house stopped working Sun around 8pm. I contacted my home warranty service and they let me know who they were sending the work order to. I asked for a list of the other contractors so I could call first thing in the morning to see who could come out the quickest. At about 7:30am I started calling and leaving messages with the six contractors. The last one on the list was Comfort Star. THAT call was actually answered by the owner 30 minutes before their office even opened. Mr. Habeeb Hussein asked what the problem was and what the solution might be. He did say that he did have someone available today but he wasnt sure what time. At about 8:15am I tried to call the company originally chosen by my warranty company, but could not get anyone one the phone! I immediately called Comfort Star back and was advised that they could have a repairman at my home between 11-3. Jeremiah (the repairman) arrived at 12:30pm. He diagnosed the problem quickly even though I was peppering him with endless questions. He replaced a capacitor on the heat exchanger and my ac was up and running within 30-45 minutes of his arrival. He answered all of my questions very thoroughly. I couldnt have asked for a better experience. From the owner, Mr. Hussein to Elida, of the office staff, to Jeremiah, everyone of them was kind, patient and thorough. I have pets plus four rescue kittens that increased the need to be able to regulate the temp in the house. Just saying THANK YOU doesnt seem like enough. Great Service! Comfort star has replaced two of my evaporator coils on two different HVAC systems at my home. They were prompt and at both times they were very responsive to my calls.My home warranty company was taking its own sweet time in responding to my calls and also taking decision about replacing the evaporator coil. I called Habib, the owner of Comfort Star and they quickly verified the problem and replaced the evaporator coil.They are reasonably priced too and do a very good job. I plan to continue using them in future.

The technician (Shane) came out and diagnosed and fixed my AC this morning. He knew his stuff and gave me the option to replace an extra part that had worn out. I asked him for “brother in law” advice. Have used Comfort Star for many years and can’t recommend them high enough. Their owner Habib has been great to work with and very fair. I am on their maintenance program and get my two AC units and heaters checked twice a year. I believe that is keeping me from having to replace them. AC unit now making cool air for us. Im very happy with the experience Ive had with Comfort Star. Im big on timeliness and customer service and Comfort Star provided that. Their technician Edgar was phenomenal. He took what was supposed to be a 30 min inspection as to why the AC wasnt working and ended up dedicating a 5 hr stay determined not to leave until the AC was pumping. His knowledge and skill sets are top of the line after this was the 4th company to come out and service the issues Ive been having (not to mention as a first time home owner he clearly explained to me what was happening and where the issue was coming from). Also, its not every day the owner of the company comes to sit down with you in your kitchen to walk you through both your short and long term options. Ill be looking to Comfort Star for my AC needs. Comfort Star has provided us with professional and knowledgeable service for five years since we bought our house. Our gas heat and AC units have both been installed by Comfort Star. In addition, we have an annual agreement with them to check and service the AC and heating system. Recently had our 60s era air ducts replaced at a reasonably competitive price. Very pleased with their work and owners attention to detail and high quality of service.

Jeremiah came today for maintenance and filter replacement. He was awesome. Explained details I hadn’t known, and ways to keep my system running. I have an older condo with one new unit (CS installed) and an older one too. Was great to know how to use both better and keep them going. I have a maintenance plan with them and it’s worth it.

The service experience with Comfort Star was professional, friendly and as personal as they come. My AC was starting to have issues after running in Houstons heat for over 12 years. After several conversations with the company owner and hours of online research, I decide to replace the AC with a new 14 SEER unit. I also decided to go with a unit that is half a ton larger than the old one because I wanted the best performance on hot summer days when I invite friends over for a home cooked meal. That was always something I tried to avoid because it was guaranteed to be a warm or even HOT gathering. The rep explained the technical details of several option and the cost benefit analysis helping me decide on what is best for my situation.We planned this in early April before the summer heat makes it a suicidal mission. A few days before the appointment date I received a text message and an email reminding me of the date and time. I put the AC on a lower setting the night before to give the installers as comfortable of a temperature as possible. They arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule and proceeded to lay down protective layers of fabric to shield my beautiful wood floors from damage. And with three people on hand, they went straight to work. In 3 hours, the new AC was running and they took some time to test it. I then noticed that they were not happy with what they were seeing. After a phone call, they told me that the brand new until they just installed was showing inconsistent results. That worried me and I wasnt sure what my options are. But after calling the company owner, they indicated that this is a very unusual situation and that he ordered a new system to be sent to my house to replace the one thats giving the mixed results. That took four additional hours but after that, I saw the happy smiles on their faces when they connected their test device to the new unit.Finally, they cleaned the area they worked in and got on their way. Im sure they wanted to leave earlier but they stuck around and did the right thing by replacing what seemed to be a problematic unit. The owner told me that the faulty unit is going back to the manufacturer.Thank you Comfort Star for such professional service. I will tell everyone I know to use your service based on this experience and thats why I am writing this review.

I have a maintenance agreement for my system with Comfort Star. My old system seems to struggle in super hot and humid days. I called for service and before noon someone was checking my entire system. It is never a trick with fake repairs or drama needing to replace this or that. I have used them for a couple of years. Comfort Star is a quality Air Conditioning company who does an outstanding job. I requested them for a consult on a replacement condenser unit because they had been so fair, flexible and professional with a neighbor that was out of country and needed his AC repaired after the compressor went out in his upstairs unit. In addition, a tech that had worked for them a few yrs ago had repaired my downstairs condenser after 3 techs failed to diagnose the problem appropriately [I had a home warranty]. Shane explained the issue with my new unit and what needed to be repaired, along with my options for types of AC units. After choosing a two stage unit, they installed it in one day and cleared out an attic area that had been a mess (old units placed too close together, poorly constructed ductwork, venting that was not even close to code, etc). The techs were very knowledgable (60+ yrs experience in AC between the 3 of them). Habib agreed to generous discounts and the price for the install was very fair, and he tacked on a 2 yr service agreement. Please consider hiring them for your major AC repair/ install. I could not be more pleased with the level of service we received from Comfort Star. We had two issues: Our downstairs unit was making an awful noise and not cooling well, and our upstairs unit was leaking water (a LOT!) through the drain pipe (another serviceman from a different company told us, “Oh, that’s normal.”).Burt serviced our a/c’s and was early to arrive (Comfort Star called to let me know he was on his way), thoroughly explained what the issue was and how he was going to fix it, and was both courteous and pleasant. The two technicians who came to our home were extremely professional ( Zach and Bert ). I would recommend Comfort Star to everyone. They always make sure the job is done to the customers satisfaction and are truly a five star company.

I had 2 complete systems replaced (AC & heating), and Comfort Star did a great job. Their pricing was competitive, it was very easy working with Habib and the team, they installed with great quality (not to mention including a 2 year labor warranty as backup), and they actually were able to get the equipment, due to their planning and foresight when at least one other contractor was unable to do the job due to material shortages. I had a slightly different system in mind, but am happy I walked through it with Habib, as I used his recommended changes, but also dont feel like I was sold on anything. They nearly got both systems done in 1 day, but had to come back the next day. I was happy that they did not rush the job and took the time to do it right. Habib also personally helped work with the inspector to get everything finalized. Really a great company to work with, and I will use them in the future for any HVAC work.

I was having issues with my ac system cooling my house. Definitely not acceptable in this crazy Texas heat! The company sent someone out the same day. The technicians Christian & Shane checked the entire system very thoroughly & let me know what recommendations they had for fixing the problem. After the cold front moved in we were without a heater for 4 days. It was extremely miserable, but Edgar was a life saver! After going through numerous A/C companies since 1990, we finally found a winner! Comfort Star, as far as we are concerned, is the only company to use in Houston. We have done business with them at our home since 2008 and have been very happy with their work ever since. Habib is one of the most professional business owners we know. The people who work for him are great!! Whenever we have a problem, their response time is very fast.

My A/C unit was not cooling properly. A/C remained on all the time. The technician came, heard my description of the problem and diagnosed the problem. He explained that the air leaking from the fan coil, coupled to a lack of refrigerant were the causes. He provided a detailed breakdown of the repair cost, and showed me the pressure and temperature measurements. After doing the work he showed me the values. The work was done right the first time. No pushy sales pitch to buy this or that. The technician arrived on time, was courteous and knowledgeable. The cost of the services, refrigerant and materials was fair.

Comfort was able to come the next day. We seem to have a leak in our AC refrigerant system, and unfortunately the level was so low that the guy wasnt able to detect the source of the leak. At least with a refrigerant refill the system is cooling again and hopefully we will be able to find the source of the leak soon to fix it once and for all.Overall the guy was very professional and responsive.

This company works with home warranty companies and not in it for the consumer. Ladies in the office are rude and very unprofessional. I was told that someone would be at my house between 2 - 6. No one showed up as I had to work from home while waiting on them. I now have to spend the weekend in a hot Houston home because of the misdiagnosis of their technician. If you read reviews yes they came out fast but absolutely did not and was a waste. My wife took the day off and I worked from home with no resolution. Do your research. We called a local company and they saved the day. We had a faulty motor in one of the units and an hour later back in business. Do your homework so that you do not waste time and money.

Technician lied and exaggerated the condition of our furnace to our Home Warranty company who then stated that they would not cover fixing our furnace. The home warranty company then told me that the technician has put together a quote for a whole new system for just $5,000! We called an independent company to come out and they stated that the problem was not caused by what Comfort had said and had the furnace fixed and serviced within days for $400. These people work for the home warranty company! Not you! Plus the technician was creepy as hell.

Excellent, very honest A/C Company!I had the pleasure today of having Zack French, technician with Comfort Start A/C & Heating Company go to my residence today after having another A/C company attempt to repair my non-working air conditioner. Zack removed the cover plate to one of the parts of the unit and instantly said, the other tech put this access plate in upside down. He returned it to its correct position and we went inside and Voila! the A/C was blowing cold air once again. You hear so many bad stories of how technicians take advantage of uninformed customers but Zack was quick to point out instantly what the problem was and fixed it within seconds. Amazing person who works for an equally amazing company that adheres to the rule of honesty and being a professional. The technician was very honest and told me straight up what the problem was. The company did their best to fix my furnace after the holidays and worked well on their schedule for me. I really needed my furnace repaired with it being under 30 degrees. I strongly recommend this company to service your HVAC needs! A++

Our capacitor and hard start went out on Thursday, by Friday (the day of this review) Charley Huertas came out and we couldnt have been more pleased with the professionalism and friendliness he gave. We liked them so much we got on a service contract with them. Definitely give them a call.

Their service employees are the best. Knowledgeable, fast, understanding. I feel very comfortable with them. This time I had a Smart Thermostat installed and programed and they made it look easy.

My AC stopped working in the middle of summer, so I called couple of places with good rating and comfort star gave me earliest appointment (next day morning). The person came and found out that outdoor unit leaked and it was outside of warranty (he checked online and sent me the screenshot). I did not have much time to look around, asked them for an estimate and called another place. The other place asked ~50% more with 16 seer rated unit, while my hvac system is 14 seer rated, so it didnt make sense. I agreed to go ahead with comfort star, they offered to replace evaporator coil and add central aprilaire filter for extra $$ and I agreed (was not pressed into buying it, just thought its a good idea). They started in the morning and by noon AC was cooling. They gave 1yr labor warranty and 10yr parts warranty on outside unit and evaporator coil. All good so far and I am happy with the service.

Background: been now 10 days without upstairs AC unit,because my home warranty lost a couple days and comfort AC was not available to do the installation.My downstairs unit is now starting to fail because its had to work much harder and comfort Star AC could not be here earlier( they were notified a week ago).Now its Monday morning,Im taking some the morning off from my professional dayjob as the Comfort star AC technician is supposed to be here between 8 and 8:30.Its 9:10 and no ones here. The office does not answer. The cell of the technician does not answerSo far, appalling service

First time using this company. Called after 5:00 pm through a warranty company expecting to hear from them the next day. They called in about 15 minutes to schedule an appointment the next morning. Edgar came to the house and checked everything thoroughly to find the problem another company couldn’t. Heat now working fine. Great job. Will definitely use them for any future problems.

Dont use Comfort Star unless youre willing to pay a bill that has ridiculously inflated prices. I used Comfort Star because they are one of several contractors used by OneGuard, my home warranty company. Comfort Star found a leak in the evaporator coil which had to be replaced. My out-of-pocket bill was $765 because Comfort Star padded the bill to the home warranty company and categorized charges in such a way that they were not covered by the warranty. To make matters worse, those charges were significantly inflated. More specifically, Comfort Star charged me $320 for plenum modifications and there werent any modifications because the new coil was exactly the same size as the old coil that was replaced. Comfort Star also categorized 3 items as code items which are not covered by the warranty company. Those items included a float switch for $195 (typically a $60 item at most) which they insisted is a new requirement, $125 for Arma Flex insulation, and $125 for mastic seal ($25 at Home Depot). I called Comfort Star at least 5 times asking for more information and an explanation of the ridiculous charges, but never got a call back. After waiting 1-1/2 weeks without air conditioning, I finally gave up and agreed to pay the $765. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU CAN AVOID IT.

We used comfort star a.c. repair for the past 9 years,first We meet the owner Habib Khoury to give us a quote to replace all our a.c. units in our home in Bellaire tx, his company did excellent work for the ac,heating,ductwork and whole house dehumidification system installation also they did excellent work for the past years maintaining all 4 ac and heating units that they installed.I highly recommend using Comfort Star for any Ac or Heating repair,they are easy to work with.the office personal are great especially Elida at the office very polite and helpful.Thank you for all your help.

THE HVAC UP-SELLPROS:►Initial technician arrived on time►Initial service fee charge of $65 was reasonable & and waived if you get the repair service from them►Diagnostic time period was quick►The installation crew was on-time/earlyCONS:►Initially the tech diagnosed the problem as the condenser unit just simply based on that model goes bad all of the time. Later determined that the evaporator coil was bad►The Up-sell #1 - The cost to replace the evaporator coil that was under warranty, was about $1800. Upgrade the the existing evaporator coil that was still under warranty to a Carrier evaporator coil for $2800. Said that they could replace it but it is just going to fail again and Id be looking at the same cost all over again. ($1800 should tell you something, that is their service charge for doing the replacement (not material cost))►The Up-sell #2. You really need to replace the condenser unit as well and go with zoned thermostats and motorized vents for about $6000.►They talked about a 10 year warranty, but that is really only for parts, labor is only good for 1 year. As far as I can tell the $1800 was the installation charge which took about 15 man-hours (3 to 5 guys working @80% capacity )OVERALLThe problem appears to have been fixed. But I have buyers remorse, because I felt like I probably got up-sold . The up-sell started before the tech even stepped out side with references to me not having a zoned heating system (clearly that is better than non-zoned) but it just felt like it was paving the way for the up-sell.RECOMMENDATIONYou can call them, but Id call a couple companies to come out (yeah you are going to eat the service charge for one or more of them, but if they are going up against each other, then youre likely to get a better deal and more importantly a better peace of mind.

Comfort Star had the BEST technician Edgar come to our home and repair our Ac unit. Edgar done the normal test and said everything looks good. Edgar went above and beyond, he stayed until the unit (outside) kicked off. Edgar was able to correct the problem. Bad fan motor. Five years ago we had a totally brand new AC unit in our home. Up until now, five plus years later we had a very small issue with our AC and they were very attentive and came as soon as they can to diagnose the problem.I’m really happy with the service and I would definitely recommend them to anybody!

I met Habib (owner) in 2003 and he stood out among the HVAC technicians that I have worked with in my property management career. I was pleased when he started Comfort Star because he had already proven his integrity and expertise to me. Habib has been my go to HVAC service provider for my homes and business installations, maintenance and repairs.

I discovered that my 16 year old AC outside unit had completely destroyed itself on a Sunday afternoon. I called Comfort Star to leave a message but Habib, the owner, called me back immediately and set up an appointment for the next day. He sent out Edgar (manager) the next day to survey the damage and give an estimate. Edgar said he could got our AC replaced and running in 2 days. But because we never had adequate air conditioning on our second floor, I asked about reducting and upgrading to a better unit. So Edgar gave me several options, and Habib came out to plan the reducting and be sure we were going to be satisfied with the proposed job and the price. I was happy with Habibs plans. The crew showed up the next day on time and began work. We had AC the next day! And the job was completed the following day. Very professional and no mess left behind. Habib told us in advance that balancing the air flow to all the rooms might take several trips. Habib was very responsive to our requests to tweak the air flow in the upstairs rooms even when it required adding a new duct and vent (at no additional cost). After the new AC fan was installed in the attic, there was a vibration in the master bedroom closet. Edgar came back twice to fix the problem and when that didnt work, he just replaced the fan. Problem solved!Five months later, the thermostat lost connection with the outside unit. I called Habib who again was very responsive. But because it was too cold outside, Edgar told me he couldnt diagnose the problem until the weather warmed up. As soon as the temperature was high enough, Edgar came out and after spending several hours at my house, discovered that the problem was the wire between the AC unit and the house had corroded away because the builder had failed to insulate the wire which was buried underground. Edgar and crew, nevertheless, dug up the old wire and strung new, insulated wire and got the unit back online. And Habib didnt charge me for all that work!I will definitely continue to use Comfort Star for all my AC and heating needs.

Warranty company sent this company out to diagnose A/C issue. Technician misdiagnosed and gave false information to warranty company. Technician was not interested in doing the work on an older home; rather, just collect the service fee.

Habib, the owner and his team really care about their work and make things right. They replaced both our heater and a/c and stand behind the products. It is rare that when your a/c goes out late on a Sunday night that the owner calls you back and is there at your schedule, the next morning to fix the problem.
