Vince, our AC Tech with Cool-It has always given us outstanding service. On our latest request, he came immediately to checkout our AC. After describing the problem to me I requested an estimate to make a repair or replace the outside unit. I opted to replace the unit and the next day he let me know that he was ready to install the new unit. Our AC problem was satisfactorily completed in a couple of days

So far I have had Cool-It Air Conditioning out twice over the past year. They are friendly, prompt and fair priced, and will be first on my contact list for future A/C issues.

The experience we had working with Vixiene and his Cool-It team was excellent, start to finish. We had to replace a 3-ton unit and after getting seven estimates, Cool-It had the equipment we wanted for the best price. Also, I cant say enough about their level of workmanship and professionalism. Jorge and Mario installed the unit and although the job took nearly nine hours, we barely noticed they were here. Part of the reason it took so long, was because they noticed that the venting was not up to code. They decided they should completely reroute the ventilation. They didnt ask, they just handled it. They also took extra care to make sure that the unit was level and secure. Upon completion, Vixiene even sat with me and helped register the equipment, to ensure the validity of the warranty. I cannot recommend Cool-It HVAC highly enough. A+++

Highly recommend!! Its hard to find an honest, reliable A/C technician. I had a funky smell coming from my A/C so I called Cool-it Air to come check it out (and was probably just going to do an annual A/C maintenance). They were very accommodating as I had to reschedule a couple times. Vixiene came out timely and gave me some easy tips/tricks to resolve the issue and said I didnt need any maintenance at the time. Saved me time and money and will definitely call them again for any future A/C issues!

Only the Best in Town. After years of trying to find an honest and reputable HVAC company read a review on Cool It and Vixiene and called him to troubleshoot a non working AC unit. He came over and found it to be a capacitor and got it working again. He checked the system and didnt try to upsell me on anything in the subsequent years he replaced a downstairs cooling unit, again a fair price, great products, excellent service and no upsell, included a moisture sensor at no extra charge. Two years ago the upstairs unit failed and again Vixiene replaced that unit and salvaged some parts that we could use on the other furnace unit should we need them in the future. Last Christmas received the gift of Nest Thermostat Vixiene came over to help me install them and didnt want to charge me. He and his company are first class, honest, fair and the only HVAC company I trust. I would recommend them to anyone! The systems Vixiene and his team installed have worked flawlessly for over 5 years. Last summer with all the heat one unit had a capacitor fail. Vixiene came over at 8:30 at night and had us working again in 20 minutes. CooI it is the best HVAC company I have ever worked with! Just had Vixiene replace a 20 year old furnace that quit working. His team had us back up and running in less than a week and at a very reasonable price. There is quality and fairness in everything he does.

Best service person ever! After the freeze, we had mold in the systems. So the mold guy had to turn off all the systems to remove the mold. Yesterday, we had a great technician come out to get the systems back in place. Best service ever!

I had previously called another company because they came highly rated and had done a good job for us before. They sent a technician out that either had no idea what she was doing or her gauges/tools were bad/malfunctioning. She stated the coolant pressure was VERY low and that there was a leak in the system. She couldnt find the leak, so her solution was to offer an isolation test to find the leak, which would cost $2200!! I told her no thank you and that I would seek a second opinion. I called Cool-It Air Conditioning and Heating. The owner of Cool-It, Vixiene, came out personally and performed diagnostics. He stated that not only was the coolant pressure COMPLETELY normal (not VERY low as the other tech stated), but that there was definitely no leak in the system either since the pressures were reading totally normal.I saved $2200 by calling Cool-It Air Conditioning. Vixiene, the owner of Cool-It Air Conditioning and Heating was VERY professional, courteous, and most importantly VERY knowledgeable. He was so nice, punctual, and did a great job. Because he found no issues with the system, he waived the diagnostic/service charge as a courtesy and told us just to monitor the system. He told us that if we had any further issues to call him and he would come right back out. I would without hesitation use Cool-It Air Conditioning and Heating again and would recommend them for any HVAC or heating needs that you might have. A heating/cooling company is only as good as the technicians that they send out, and I think that any tech that Vixiene sees fit to hire or trains in his company is going to be very knowledgeable about any issues that a residential property might be having.

Wow, super impressive. Vixene is amazing and on top of his work. He personally came out the next day and had his installers (George and Mario) pick up a brand new part from the manufacturer’s warehouse, install a new coil, put Freon in and had the air-conditioning up and running all within an 18-hour turnaround. Highly recommend, honest, good work, and very transparent. These guys know exactly what they are doing and get it done fast and efficient.

Vixiene came out last August during the heat wave with freon for my unit so when I noticed water on the ceiling last week I knew to call him at Cool-It. It was 91* inside at 8:30 pm. He was polite and explained what he was doing, took care of the clogged drain pan and replaced a part. He also gave me advice on my furnace and the need for a carbon monoxide monitor. I was so appreciative that he would come that night. I definitely recommend Cool-It!

I called Cool It AC to request service to look into an issue with the Evaporator Coil freezing up yesterday and they said they would come out the following day to check out my system. As promised, Vixiene came out this morning and checked the unit in the attic and gave me some good advice on sealing the primary drain pipe in the attic to save me from some costly repairs to interior ceiling drywall. As someone who is handy but, realizes his limitations it was nice to have Vixiene talk plainly with me and he encouraged me to walk around with him as he performed his checks and service. He found that the refrigerant was low and explained everything he was doing which I greatly appreciated. It was nice learning more about my AC system during the process and his openness to share his knowledge is a rare commodity. I will be setting up a service agreement with Cool It AC and look forward to working with them going forward. Their prices are more than fair given the value of the service and customer interaction. I rarely take the time to write down reviews unless I have a very bad or a very good experience. In this case fortunately was a very good experience. When we moved in to our home, one of the things we knew we needed to deal with were the AC units. In our first two years of headaches with different AC companies, we found and contacted cool it air. This company by far is superior to any company we ever contacted to deal with our units. Recently Coo-it replaced both AC units at my house. Vixiene and the team did a great job; very honest and professional from the beginning to the end, and with good price. He took the time twice to come explain questions I had, while the team was installing the AC units. AC not working on a Houston 100 degree summer day. Called at 11:30am and was here by 2:20pm that same day. Had it fixed & cooling in 30 mins. I contacted Cool-It yesterday as I have used him in the past and have always found Vixiene (owner) to be available and professional. He came out today due to our upstairs A/C not running cool. He determined it was low on Freon and was able to complete the project in less than 30-minutes. He was able to share a few minutes to discuss what was causing the continued leak, as we have had to add Freon over the past three summers. He was upfront and stated we would need to replace the coils in the unit sometime in the future. He stated to “just call me and I will be more than happy to complete the work”. Business owners do not come more honest, knowledge and personable than Vixiene.

This is the second time using this company. First time the blower motor in the house went out .He had to order one but put one in that could work until ours came in. So we were not with out AC in summer. Now the fan motor outside locked up. We have an older unit and he was more then happy to change the fan motor. Checked our unit and stated we didn’t need a whole new one. Great value and good service. And they are local. I highly recommend this company.

I’d like to start off by saying, I called a company before Cool It to come check out my unit and the tech pretty much tried to rip me off told me I had quite a few things wrong and tried to charge me about $3200. So of course I wanted to get another opinion and so Cool It told me it was only two things I needed done and the price was no where near what the last guy quoted me. Billy was a very honest man from the jump. He found the issue explained why it happened and got right to work. While working on my unit we had good conversation throughout whole process. Billy is a honest man doing a good job and he’s very knowledgeable. Anytime in the future if I occur a problem again I’ll be calling Cool It with no hesitation. So if you’re looking for a company that’s being honest and won’t rip you off this is the company to go with it. Thanks again Cool It for your good work. Good business people still exist. Cool-it should be your first call. I made the mistake of calling another company and they just told me my AC needs replacing and quoted an outrageous amount.I called Cool-it for a second opinion and they were so much better. Vixienne was very clear about what happened with my system and did his best to minimize the expense. He went the extra mile by finding a way to get the AC on my buildings roof without using a crane. Ultimately this saved me thousands and I was very happy with the service.I would recommend Cool-it to everyone.

He responded quickly with a fair fixed price (signficantly less than the local brand name services), he promised installation and arrived on time, he was cordial, friendly and professional, and he took the the extra time (not rushed) to make sure it was done right - the first time! Cool-its service is awesome. Ive called on them for help a few times, once for maintenance and a couple times for repairs. Vixiene is who has come out each time and he is great. Most recently I had a problem with my house taking a long time to cool. Vixiene took a look at the unit and asked if anyone had worked on it before. I told him about a year ago the coil had been replaced and he pointed out that it wasnt installed correctly which was causing an air leak. He suggested I contact the installer and have them correct the issue. He didnt charge me a cent for coming out and even checked my refrigerant level as a courtesy.But the awesome service doesnt end there. I had the other company come out and they suggested replacing the furnace which would cost almost $4k. I wanted a second opinion so asked Vixiene to come out and if he agreed with the diagnosis Id rather he do the work. Well, he came out and said that the furnace was fine and to escalate my issue with the other company. I did that and had a senior tech come out. He agreed that the furnace was fine and went ahead with repairing the original install. He also admitted that the original diagnosis was wrong and apologized for the mistake. I dont know if they were trying to take advantage of my situation but Ill give them the benefit of the doubt. What I do know is Vixiene for sure was not doing that and he saved me from potentially spending thousands on an unnecessary repair. And he never charged me a penny for his time.I highly recommend Cool-it! Thanks Vixiene!

We hired a previous company to do maintenance on my AC unit and they did not complete the job. Citing that I needed a new capacitor before he can “finish the job” and that rubbed my elderly mother the wrong way. She’s old school and believes that if you are hired to do a job you should complete it even if you have to come back and do or add something else. I have been using Cool-it Air for several years and always find them professional, on-time, courteous and excellent service technicians. I recently had them replace my three old AC/Furnace units out with Trane units. They did an excellent job on the installation and new units are fantastic. Based on a lot of positive reviews I called Vixen to have him come out and check our air conditioning unit. The unit was running, but not pumping out any cold air. Vixens first suggestion was to simply check my filters, which turned out to be exactly what the problem was. He saved me the service feehe could have charged me for coming out. Since he didnt actually work on my AC unit I cant vouch forhis skill level, but based on all of the positive reviews Ive read I have no doubt that he does excellent work. What I can comment on is that this is a person who takes pride in providing true customer supportand isnt out to simply make a quick buck.

Billy went above and beyond in his service compared to others we have used. He advised on simple maintenance procedures that can help enhance the life of your unit. Nobody has ever done that for us. Cool-it saved us big time!!! We really appreciated our a/c technician, Billys knowledge, professionalism and most of all his honesty. Our house wasnt cooling down appropriately so I called a couple of HVAC companies to assess the issue. We were told by two other companies that the coil was bad and needed to be replaced now and the compressor would need to be replaced soon as well. However, Billy, the tech verified its an older unit, but still working just fine and only needed a few pounds of freon to cool down the house. Not to mention we were told we needed a new circuit board, only for Billy to tell us the thermostat only needed to be rewired. A simple fix. Cool-it saved us thousands. Good service companies are hard to come by. Give them a try. You wont regret it.

My son recommended Cool-It telling me they would not take advantage of me. I called and the gentleman said it sounded like a bad capacitor. When he discovered I could change it, recommended I do so and save some money. I got the capacitor from United Air Conditioning Supply for $21. Five minutes to change and it fixed the problem! I really appreciated this FREE advice! I will certainly use Cool-It again and recommend them to all my neighbors!

We have been using the services of Vixiene and team for 2-3 years now. Vixiene repaired our old a/c for a while before we finally decided to bite the bullet and get a new system. Cool It had competitive prices and brands, and we already knew the service was excellent. His team did an EXCELLENT job. They were professional, and clean, and did a beautiful job of re-working some of our ducts (it was a mess), so that we can now move around safely in our attic space. Also excellent craftsmanship out by our compresser units...neatly bundled and covered cables/wiring and extra tall foundation/platforms where he knew the water gets a little high. We are very happy with Cool It and would highly recommend to our friends.

My A/C went out and a maintenance inspection revealed I needed a new condenser and coil. Called several companies and got exorbitant quotes. Vixiene, the owner of Cool-It, came out and assessed the situation and also advised me why one bedroom was not getting properly cooled. I had been getting maintenance service on A/C for over 10 years and was never told why that bedroom never cooled off. Vixiene provided a reasonable quote and had the work done in one day and corrected the bedroom cooling situation for no additional charge. Weve had good luck with Cool It. They replaced our downstairs AC a couple of years ago, and we havent had any issues. We just had them replace the upstairs AC and furnace as well. Billy came out to give us a quote, and they were able to schedule the job right away. Their prices seem reasonable too.

One of the two A/C systems in my house stopped working, so I called the company that had been using for 12+ years. After making their diagnosis, they told me that they required ordering a spare part. During the worst parts of Houston summers my AC unit had died out. The team scheduled and was same to squeeze me in their busy schedule which I appreciated! They came back out do the actual install and actually improved the overall air efficiency thought out that house! Love their clean and polished work they always put out!

We had no cool air coming from the AC in the Texas August heat. Vixiene came out to inspect the issue the same day I called. The evaporator coil was leaking and needed to be replaced. Even though it was late Friday afternoon, he checked and confirmed they have the coil in stock and sent technicians the next morning to replace it. They also registered the new part for us for the 10 year warranty to be effective. Great service and reasonable price. We would definitely call Cool-It again for any HVAC issues in the future. I had a previous AC company I had used but they were booked up for the next week and couldnt schedule us any sooner, and we had company coming in two days when one of our AC stopped blowing cold air. I called cool it, and they would have come out that same day but I couldnt be home and we scheduled for the next day. They arrived in the time slot and quickly fixed our problem of a loose wiring connection at the outside unit and had us back up in less than 10 minutes. Very professional and answered all my questions I had to try and prevent that from happening again. I now have them as my go to AC company.

My repairman was Billy and he was very efficient and explained to me fully what was wrong. He was not pushy and try to sell me more services, but let me know what was going on with my unit. I would definitely call them again in the future. He even gave me a discount because I registered my unit and had a warranty on it. A+

Cool it AC is the only company we call for our AC needs. About 2 years ago they came out after another company told us we needed a new unit. Cool it said they could fix the unit for under 100 dollars. It we would need a new one in a few years. We got about 2 more years out of it and they installed the new unit just a few months ago. There have been other small fixes in the last few years and they are so nice, competent and trustworthy. They come out ASAP and have great hours.Would highly recommend his company.

Vixiene was very prompt in responding to the request. He provided excellent service. As soon as he arrived, he was able to analyse that the capacitor was gone and needed to be replaced. He was kind enough to install a temporary capacitor in place till he could procure the right sized one from the distributor. That got my AC going. He didnt charge me till 2 days later when he came back to fit it with the correct one. I would surely recommend him for any HVAC related concerns.

If you are looking for a reputable and honest ac/heater repair company, Vixienne is your man! We have used him on multiple occasions and he doesnt disappoint. My mothers AC unit is 18 years old and it has been working intermittently during the last few weeks. It would turn off and not turn back on most of the time. I had a few other local AC companies (highly rated) come to the house but none of them offered us any solution outside of replacing the entire AC system (+ $6k).We decided to call Cool-It to get a quote for a new AC. Vixiene showed up to our house and asked me to explain the issues which we had been experiencing w/ our AC. I told him that the AC was old and needed to be replaced and that I wanted a quote for a new one. But Vixiene insisted so I explained what had been happening. He said that it was probably a clogged drain pipe and proceeded to clean out the drain pipe w/ a bottle of nitrogen. This solved our issue and we were thrilled! The clogged drain pipe was triggering the safety switch that kept shutting off the AC compressor. That was our issue. I was really impressed w/ Vixienes honesty. He could have made a lot more money off of us if he would have done what every other AC company did which was tell us that we needed to get a new AC unit. But he performed a simple repair that saved us a lot of money.I would highly recommend Cool-It Air Conditioning & Heating to anyone who needs any type of HVAC work.Update 8/21: We had another issue w/ my mothers AC unit. This was during a late July day this year. Temperature went up to the 90s in the house and we had an emergency. We called the crew from Cool-it Air Conditioning/Heating and they were able to stop by the same day after 5pm. They diagnosed the issue which was a capacitor that had burned out. This part was replaced, and the AC started working again. We are always thankful for the quick turnaround times especially w/ an elderly person living in the house. I would once again highly suggest that you contact Cool-It Air Conditioning/Heating for all your HVAC needs.

When it was determined that my system was low on R22, the tech negotiated a fair price for materials and labor before moving forward. Warranty and Follow-Up: Cool It has been AWESOME. I have been using them since a bad experience with a different A/C company under AHS Home Warranty. Theyve been very responsive. Most recently, May 17th, they came out to check why condensate water was flowing out my emergency drain instead of the primary drain. It turns out the A/C unit in the attic wasnt level. Billy quickly checked on the problem, asked me what I encountered and then went about fixing it. They didnt charge me for it as they replaced the evaporator coil in December under the A/C units 10 year parts warranty. Vixiene and Billy called it part of the follow-up from December. These guys are great. Cool-It has been my go-to A/C company for almost 5 years. I have not had a bad experience with them, and they are fair and reasonable. There are alot of other shady A/C companies out there that always find expensive problems. I dont dread calling Cool-It!

I have relied on Cool-It for more than 5 years now. Issues range from maintenance, unclogging AC drain line, heater burner not starting, to replacing the AC unit. What I like about them is that they are responsive, reliable and honest. I was also taught steps on how to fix certain issues if they occur. That’s not something you would normally get from an AC guy. All in all, I highly recommend anyone to give them a try!

Literally was able to come by in less than one hour. Friendly, prompt, to the point service. Good pricing and waved the trip charge for a refill of refrigerant on my system.That alone would have made it a 5 star review. But after waiting about 4 hours and trying it, the system still wasnt moving very cold air. I called him later that night and he told me to turn the system off and leave it off in case it was still frozen up from before. Sure enough, when he got there the next morning and we kicked on the system, it was working perfectly without any work. Turns out it just needed longer to defrost. Guess what... still didnt charge me a trip charge for the second visit.Needless to say, I will never use another HVAC company again. Absolutely amazing. 6 stars if possible.

Our A/C wasn’t cooling properly… bad for a Houston home in July. I contacted my friend from Cool-It (I call him my friend as he treats me with great respect and looks at keeping his clients happy and treating them like family) He was able to stop by today and repaired the issue and the house is “ice-cold” I have been doing business with them for about 3 years and you could not ask for a more honest and trustworthy individual. We were having dust problems. Cool It replaced or duct system. Problem resolved. The work they did for me was neat, clean and professional. Their prices are reasonable. Most recently my Nest thermostat on the wall showed to be working; however, the app showed, Offline. I called Cool It and Billy told me that the problem could be the connection to the WIFI. I set the thermostat to connect with the 5 GHz side of the WIFI. Problem resolved ! Billy saved me the wait for and the cost of a service call. I will be using their service again should the need arise.

I came across Cool-It Air after a had issues with my previous Home Warranty AC Repair. Vixiene was able to help me out in figuring out what was wrong with my AC. It was touch-in-go trying to troubleshoot and find what the issue was. But the reason they are getting 5 Stars is Vixiene went above and beyond in trying to figure it out. Even to the point of lending us a temporary AC to use so, we could at least survive the Texas heat.

Replaced Evaporator Coils, Plenum, overflow pain and switches.The work took longer than expected because of transportation issues for workers. Job done well as far as I can tell. Vixene came back days later to complete coolant recharge and check. This is my second time using Cool-It and would recommend them.
