Jake and Clark were prompt and honest. I already sent their number to my neighbors so they had it in case of any needs they may have in the future. My damper for my zoned AC wasnt working and I was expecting it to need replacement. Upon evaluating, they found the insulation was just too tight. They loosened up the insulation and it was good to go. I was expecting a bigger bill and a bigger headache, but they made it super easy - from being able to schedule via text, showing up on time, and they were kind, considerate and explanatory. Ive saved their number and theyll be my go to AC team from now on!

Jake was very friendly and thorough while fixing my heater. He tried one solution and tested it multiple times before determining that it wasn’t the best fit. A typical electrician would have proven that it worked once and left. However, Jake knew that a better solution was available and went to buy the right part for the job. Our furnace stopped working. We were told the unit is over 10yr old and should be replaced at over $3000. We saw Ethan’s number and gave him a call for second opinion. Jack and his helper arrived quickly! They were super friendly and professional. It turned out it was the control board, so we didn’t have to replace the whole thing. We highly recommend them!

The Ethan Clark Air Conditioning technician Jake arrived at my home promptly and was able to fix the problem with my smart thermostat not getting any power very quickly. He was helpful in explaining what needed to be done, he checked out the system inside the house and the compressor outside, and replaced the UV light inside our system at a very reasonable cost. I’m going to cancel the maintenance agreement I had with a much larger Houston AC company and instead I will call Ethan Clark AC when my HVAC system needs maintenance.

I was in need of someone to examine a problem with my air conditioning, found a posting on Next-door stating how good this company is. I looked them up read some reviews and was, impressed with what people thought of them. I made a call to them @ 9am and they came at 10:30. They analyzed my problem which turned out to be very simple. They did not attemp to sell me a new unit when all I needed, was a thermostat. It is so refreshing to deal with honest people. They were professional, knowledgeable and cleaned up any mess behind themselves I will certainly refer this company to anybody looking for their services. I had a very advanced AC system installed 1 year ago by another company with 8 zoning dampers installed. I have been having weekly intermittent problems where some rooms the dampers would open and close on their own. I finally gave up with them and from the advice of a neighbor I called Ethan Clark AC. Clark the owner came out with his son Dylan and went through my entire system. He said everything seems to be working but he noticed my control voltage was reading about half a volt lower than he normally sees. He then looked at the transformer and noticed it was wired to 208v instead of 230v. He moved one wire over on the transformer and it raised the control voltage up 3 plus volts. He said this should take care you and I looked at him with disbelief. He charged me just a service call fee and he said if it gives you any problems let him know. Its now been over 90 days as Im typing this review and my zoning system has operated flawlessly. Thanks again.

Had a really good first experience with Ethan Clark A/C, from easy appointment scheduling to the timely service. I can see why his business has a lot of positive reviews on the NextDoor app. I appreciated that the technician, Jake, was knowledgeable and practical, he was able to troubleshoot the problems and explain them in easy to understand terms, and was efficient in making the needed repairs.

I found out about Ethan Clark via a referral from a colleague of a friend, and called them up for an A/C inspection and tune up. They scheduled me an appointment within 2 weeks, then called me back within minutes to ask if I was available right then—a spot opened up unexpectedly. Jake showed up within 20 minutes, and he was super personable, professional, and thorough with his inspection. All my capacitors were in great shape, and he checked the drain lines and cleaned the compressor coils quickly. You have a customer for life! On a holiday (MLK) during 20-degree weather & icy/snow conditions (which we NEVER have in Houston), my furnace suddenly stopped working.I called 16 HVAC companies that morning, and out of those 16, I only found one that agreed to come out. (Ill leave their name out of it) They told us the motor was dead and that it was an unusual, hard to find part due to its age and that it had to be ordered from Lennox & they were closed. We were given no time frame on it being fixed, and they didnt seem to be in a hurry.My 90 year old mother in law lives with us, so we were panicking a bit because it would not have been a good situation.Thats when I got a hold of Jake Estes from Ethan Clark! He was at my home in a couple of hours and informed us it was NOT an unusual part and it didnt need to be ordered. It was in stock in Humble! Within 5 hours of initially calling, he diagnosed the problem, went and purchased the motor (again, locally), and had the furnace up and running! (better than ever actually)We really felt like Jake cared about the fact an elderly person lived in the home & it was going to be in the teens the next 2 nights. He was so friendly and so knowledgeable with all our questions. Weve already talked to him about him doing a couple of things this spring that we need done. Ethan Clark is an exceptional AC service. I have depended on them for over 20 years and they always come through on a timely basis. Today Jake came to fix a thermostat issue that ended up being a contactor issue and a short in a small control wire. He spent the time required to chase out every possible problem until they were finally discovered. This was the first time using Ethan Clark Air Conditioning. We called them to get a quote to replace our outside AC unit. Clark the owner and Jake came to our house within the same morning and checked the compressor, which we were told was no longer working by another company. It turned out that there was nothing wrong with the compressor. They fixed a faulty line and replaced the main power contactor. The AC is running fine again. We were very pleased with their professionalism and would definitely use them again in the future.

I can’t say enough good things about Ethan Clark. Over a year ago, another AC company told me I needed a new system, and I called Ethan Clark to give me another quote for a new AC. When Clark came out to our house, he said we didn’t need a new system, did some maintenance, and the AC lasted us another 14 months. When my AC recently went out for good, Clark and Jake came out to my house within an hour of my call, gave us a reasonable quote, and worked tirelessly over the following two days to install it. They also fixed additional issues and had good suggestions on other ways to improve AC problems we’ve had. They do a very high quality job, are very knowledgeable, and fairly priced. It is really nice to find an AC company that you can trust. I highly recommend them.

We have used Ethan Clark a few times over the years and they have always been great! Any time we have tried someone else we have been disappointed when we compare them to Ethan Clark. Jake was the technician they sent this time and he got to us the same day we called and he actually got to us earlier than they originally quoted which worked out great. They are very communicative with the appointment tines and I got a text before he came with a picture of the tech who would be working at my home. When they had an opening to come sooner they checked forst to be sure that I would be available. Jale was able to quickly diagnose and fix the problem and he even showed me some easy maintainence steps I can take to help my air conditioning run better throughout the years. Ethan Clark has always been very forthcoming with the cost of the work and I have never felt like they were trying to upset me on a product or service I didnt need. If anything when they came this time they showed me some maintenance steps I can take so I might not even need them to come as often. They have had my business for a while and experiences like the one I had today make it so that they will have my business for a long time to come.

I am blown away by the service and value here. This company knows how to earn customers. They had a technician dispatched quickly to my home same-day. Customer service and workmanship were excellent in repairing and fully servicing my AC. Issue was fully resolved.

Ethan Clark AC are a top-notch team of experienced, honest professionals. We used them twice. The first time we thought wed have to replace a $10-15k system, only to have them identify the issue and pay ~$600 for the repair. On the second visit shortly thereafter they diagnosed a poorly installed thermostat (owner error) as well as followed up on first repair to ensure it was all still functional (i.e. freon wasnt leaking after a few weeks). During both visits, the two different technicians thoroughly explained the issues, educating us on background & history, and used their extensive knowledge to offer options to resolve our issues. I would highly highly recommend them to anyone needing HVAC solutions in Houston.

I had 3 other AC companies say I needed a whole new unit with a furnace, which would have costs thousands. My daughters AC went out on Fathers day and she called Abacus Plumbing and AC to check it out...They told her she needed a new main board at $1500 but really needed a whole new unit and what monthly payment would she be comfortable with (real used car stuff)..She got Ethan Clarks name from Nextdoor. They came by and fixed a bad wire on a switch in the attic not even part of the AC. No charge just the trip charge...That my friends is how you do business....

I had another company install a gadget on my furnace and they hooked it up wrong so my furnace was blowing full blast 24/7. I called another HVAC company who charged me ~$400 a couple weeks prior for a visit where they did nothing and they were non responsive. THEN I called Ethan Clark, they came out the next morning and diagnosed/fixed the problem in 10 minutes for $89. This is the only HVAC company I am calling from now on and recommending to my friends and family.

Aging AC went out on Monday night in mid-August. Hot time!. Reached out to Clark at 1030PM. Selected Clark because he replaced the AC for two family members before summer kicked in and did a great job. Got an immediate response and he was here on Tuesday. Compressor was dead. We decided to upgrade the old AC. Clark and team got the outside and attic units installed immediately. They ran into several complications and took care of a few items that would have cost extra with other contractors. Clark took care of everything. He even came back several days later to wrap up one of those out of scope details. Best AC service we’ve received in over 20 years in Kingwood. Call Clark first!

I called them Friday morning and they were out within a few hours. They were able to quickly figure out what was causing the AC drain to be clogged, fixed it, and talked to me about various ways to prevent this from happening again. But it’s all the little extra things they did - shift the pan over a bit to better catch any overflow, cleaning the water in the pan, installing an extra valve for the future, talking about other solutions.That’s going above and beyond what I have seen other companies do. Ethan Clark AC made my house cool for the first time. My home builder and two other AC companies could not figure the problem out. Clark came over my house and was the first person to stick his head inside my return air duct work and found a hole in the chase. To my surprise he was able to squeeze in the return air Grille and climb halfway up the wall and fix the problem. Now my AC is not sucking in hot attic air. My Lennox zoning controls has never worked right since day one. I have had the original installer and two other companies look at it and they all told me that everything was running fine. Clark, form Ethan Clark AC, told me that it was not set up properly and after 20 minutes he had my air flow blowing 3 fold. I woke up the next morning freezing for the first time in 5 years. I did not want to get out of bed because it felt so good. I am an Ethan Clark customer for life now.

Rude and very unhelpful on the phone. If you know whats wrong with your A/C - why dont you fix it was the level of customer service. Would not use if they came out and paid me.
