This contractor was recommended and assigned through my home warranty service. In speaking with the gentleman, he was immediately dismissive, as though I was inconveniencing him by needing HVAC repair. After a short back-and-forth where he informs me that, essentially, if he were to show up and assess the job being beyond his purview where he doesnt do the work, the paid service fee would not be enough to justify his time. It was as though he didnt want the job JUST BECAUSE it came through a home warranty service. If those are jobs not worthy of your service, dont be part of a home warranty network!Very disappointed and disappointing...

P&M was superb. We needed to replace our primary unit (both condenser and cooling coil) and service our secondary unit. We got the 15% member discount (costs an extra $100 up front on the inspection but saved us almost $2,000 in costs). The installing technician flagged our PVC pipe that was not up to code, and they ran all new lines with correct primer and insulation. The crew was timely, communicative, polite and did a great job. They installed a new smart thermostat which is awesome, and they patched the wall conscientiously when they had to cut through a horizontal stud to drop the wire. This is a great company doing things the right way.

If I could give negative stars, I would. They have serviced my HVAC for a little over a year and I have hand nonstop problems, all caused by their professional negligence and misconduct. My HVAC has frozen every time (pictures as proof have been taken) and yet, the employees sent to service my HVAC never take note of it so it is never in their system. Moreover, I had to call a different company for restoration of my vents inside the house due to mold and it was a direct result of negligent maintenance of my HVAC. When I called to try to rectify the issue, the manager or owner disrespected me and lied the entire time. P&M has cost me thousands of dollars due to their blatant disregard for professional conduct and poor workmanship. Save yourself the trouble and find another company to use.

Marshall & P&M Air saved me from having to buy a new furnace!! Marshall troubleshot an extra level that previous companies did not. Was able to fix the issue with a simple service call fee. He has done the same for my mother-in-law and one of her friends. P&M is saving people the big bucks!!

P&M is a great company to usevif you need any ac repairs, replacement, or new installation. We have been using there services for 22 years. We have our yearly maintenance done by them. They have never failed to take care fbour ac needs. P&M are family to us. I highly recommend their services.

We have used P and M for years to service our AC’s. They have always been responsive and professional. They just installed a new unit in our Houston home which took 2 1/2 days in 100’ heat. They never complained. They were neat, on time, worked hard, and were very knowledgeable. It’s great doing business with a family owned business that provides excellent service.

I cannot say how secure I am with this company. Over the last 5 or more years they continue to shock me as to their thoroughness, their transparency, and their professionalism. When anyone (in this case Robert the technician) has left my house from P&M Ive never felt more secure that my system is in exactly the shape theyve discussed with me. In this case, very good shape, cleaned and maintained extremely well. I would do a commercial for this group and I dont feel that way about many, if any services that I get in my home.

We have used P & M several times for our business. Not only for service issues but cosmetic updates as well. Armando and Sergio have both came out at different times with each of their crews and didnt disappoint. They are friendly, reliable, punctual and honest. P&M was recommended by a separate, trustworthy vendor who was not able to assist due to coverage area. The technician was knowledgeable and efficient. He laid out the repair options, costs and possible concerns with the options in an easy to understand manner. I was informed on what was fixed and possible next steps if needed. It was AC work so money was spent but I was very happy with the level and quality of service.

Robert was excellent! On time, courteous, and professional, explaining what he did in a very clear manner. He went out of his way toHelp me with an issue in my attic. So good that I hope to have him every time I need maintenance.. I’ve super happy with my system and the service provided by P&M.

I have used this company twice and had very different experiences on both occasions. The outcome seems to be dependent on the service technician who is sent out. The front desk staff have been nothing but helpful, accommodating around my busy schedule and getting a service member out to see me in a timely manner. I believe I spoke to Cindy and I appreciate all the work she has done to help me get my AC working again.First problem: August 2022 - Water leak from the indoor component to a heat/AC unit in the upstairs of my townhouse. Robert, the technician, was fantastic. He immediately diagnosed the problem (clogged drainage due to algae build up), drained the clog with a wet vac, placed several algae tabs to prevent the problem from happening again and left the work area neat and tidy. 10/10 would definitely work with Robert again for any AC/Heating needs. If you end up going with P&M, ask for Robert!Second problem: May 2023 - Broken thermostatI had a general idea that my problem concerned the thermostat because the temperature would never set below 85 degrees after working perfectly for months. I replaced the thermostat but thought there could be a compatibility issue or a misplaced wire so I wanted a technician to take a look. I told all of this to my second technician, Asaad, who ignored me completely and immediately went up to the roof to look at the outdoor component of the unit. He came down a few moments later and told me that there was a Freon leak and I had 3 options. 1) find the leak but it would be approximately $500-600 and even when they did find the leak, there would be additional charges to replace the broken/leaky parts. If the outdoor unit was running without Freon he said that I would probably need to replace that as well since it was working too hard trying to compensate 2) I could recharge the Freon for approximately $875 but that was probably only temporary as there was likely a leak. 3) replace the entire unit both indoor and outdoor but did not specify a price, likely because it was going to be extremely expensive. I told him I needed to think about it and he went about tinkering with the indoor unit for a while. Moments later he came to me and stated that he messed up and that he did not realize that the unit was a combined heat pump and AC unit and there was actually no leak at all. Without asking my permission, he proceeded to install a new thermostat in 5 minutes to test the unit and it worked fine. He then told me it would be $450 for the replacement of the thermostat that was already on my wall. I asked him to remove the thermostat because I was asking for a diagnosis of the problem and did not want him to charge me for work I did not ask him to complete. Disgruntled, he removed the thermostat and made several comments about how I shouldnt buy thermostats online or from other companies because they wont be connected correctly or they wont come with a warranty like he could provide. When I tried to pay for the service call, he stated that he was charging me an extra $50 on top of the $95 because he had been at my apartment for a long time even though the reason he was there longer than necessary was because of his own misdiagnosing/ignorance of the problem. I refused and told him that the front desk can call me if they have any questions about why a higher fee was not assessed. He left the work area a complete mess, with smudges all over the walls and left electrical breakers in the off position which made my life difficult when trying to figure out what he had done to make sure nothing else was wrong. Overall 1/10 since I got my answer about the thermostat being broken but very poor professionalism and attempt to up charge me on problems that did not exist.I would like to be clear, I do not think this is a bad company, but be wary of individuals who may be trying to take advantage of customers who might not appear to know what the problem is and what the general costs to fix these problems might be.

Recently moved to Houston and our new house had issues with the furnace. It took a few calls but P & M found what was wrong with my unit and was able to get it repaired. They have a very fast turn around time and all the knowledge. Will be calling them again if I need any help with HVAC

After calling small companies to fix my AC, they just kept running in the problems couldn’t figure it out and overcharge me for a lot of things that I should’ve paid for.Then I called P&M air-conditioning and it took their technician an hour and a half to see all the mess up. They’ve been doing to my unit wired it up wrong and everything and he fixed it really quick I highly recommend them for anybody that needs work done to the unit I will always use them for now on

AC went out. P&M found the problem quickly. Most of time spent was tech getting part (not his fault as he had to go clear across town). Very professional. Answered all my questions. Gave summary of finding and fixes (I didnt understand much as Im not geared that way). Definitely recommend P&M. Oh, and great value!

I get their service maintenance every year now. It helps to make sure things are working. This time my tenants notified me the AC had stopped working. The next morning I called and they sent someone out that afternoon. Found the problem and was able to fix it in one trip. Very grateful I have these guys as my AC people. Every time I’ve need them they always can make it that day. I appreciate that and plan to continue using them.

I am very happy with P & M. They have been performing our A/C and Heating checks biannually for 5 years or more! They are responsive and always on-time. They are priced fair and honest, no up-selling if you dont need something. They are also a pleasure to work with, do a thorough job and are easy to communicate with - they are professional. A few times when our system broke late in the evening or middle of the night, they came out to our home quickly to fix it. I highly recommend them for your A/C and heating needs.

Can’t say enough positive feedback! From the initial call to the actual service, everything was perfect! Robert met with me today and he knew very quickly why my heat was not working. He explained everything in a way that I could totally understand and he was ver professional and polite and extremely helpful. My first time using P&M. Had previously used a different company for 15 years at my old neighborhood. After a service call by the other company it didnt appear that my AC had truly been correctly repaired.Googled P&M and called for service visit. Came same day. Technician Robert came to my home and was very knowledgeable and professional. Answered all my many questions with comprehensive answers. A very thorough and detailed assessment of the system and the problem. I am happy with Roberts performance and would recommend giving P&M a try.

I’m a long term P & M Air Conditioning customer. I’ve used their a/c and heat maintenance program for 10 plus years. It keeps my three units running without problems all year long.Just last month P & M installed a new variable speed a/c unit at my home. Cliff, of P & M, made several trips to our house to understand our needs and to make sure they were met. I couldn’t be happier with our new unit. P & M is always professional, very knowledgeable and most importantly on time.

I have used P&M Air Conditioning and Heating for years and have consistently received wonderful service and great results! Most recently, P&M quickly and carefully replaced one of my two AC compressors and furnaces during the COVID pandemic (having replaced my other compressor several years ago). I felt very comfortable with all of their technicians who wore masks and shoe covers and all were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend P&M to anyone needing high quality AC/Heat assistance!!! They also offer a range of prices on their products, allowing the customer to choose more expensive higher efficiency equipment if that is in your budget .

I always use P & M for my maintenance work. They are always timely, friendly (especially to my dog), efficient, and clean. This year they installed an air scrubber, which I am looking forward to less dust, less allergies, and less puppy smell. So far, the last 2 nights, I have slept better. I would recommend P & M to anyone who wants excellent service at reasonable prices.

So I called to replace my AC unit in my business and they said we will send someone to give you an estimate cost. They sent someone who went outside to check and back to tell me that he can’t tell what is the unit size and doesn’t have tools to open the panel so I will be back tomorrow with tools to check it I was like okay but ( how come an AC man with no tools ) anyway I told him I will be waiting for you tomorrow please we really need to replace it as soon as possible because it was super hot. He left and never show up again so after few days I had to call another company to do this for me. Now after more than two weeks I get an email from them with an estimate cost for 4 ton unit while my bad unit was 5 tons and he told me you need bigger one. Already replaced it but that was wasted time I called and waited few days until they sent someone and they left with no answer for more than 2 weeks.

They called me in advance to tell me their tech was on the way like they promised to do. The tech was here on time and very courteous. He completed his work very timely and professionally. Ive had a maintenance contract with P&M for several years and they come out twice yearly to check out my HVAC system. Theyre also on time and efficient and effective.

P & M Air are our saviors! After dealing with our home warranty and a company of their choosing for 19 days without a/c we called P & M at 8am and by 3pm it was up and running!! Robert was our technician and he was a pleasure to work with and was very personable. He explained everything with knowledge and sympathized with what we had been dealing with. They sold me three carriers and stopped selling them a week later. Have not work properly in three years. All 3 keep shutting down. Dozens of maintenance calls. No results, just excuses.There’s more but it’s just a repeat of more disappointing service.Another company fixed problem on first call. Found P&M used wrong wire when they installed units.P&M used to be a good company but I cannot recommend them.

Both over the phone & in person, he was very professional, respectful of me & my home and patient with me asking so many questions. I felt very safe & comfortable when he entered my home! We have used P&M for many years. They came out and fixed a problem they had found Friday in our warranty inspection they do twice a year. They were here first thing this morning to do the work. They are quick, friendly and always take good care of us.

Called them after lunch on a non-emergency call. They were on the jobsite in a few hours. The tech communicated with me and fixed my problem in less than an hour. Great service, fast response and fair prices.

Spent a summer Sunday night in purgatory (thanks Houston), called on a Monday morning, had a tech come out within a few hours (after trying a lot of companies who either were booked or didnt show up), rudy was able to fix and diagnose the problem in less than 30 minutes. Helps the company is down the street from me, so happy to support a neighborhood business. short, simple, sweet. thanks!

I called them in the morning and they immediately made an appointment for me for that day. What I liked is they said they would call you 30 minutes before they arrived and sure enough they do call you.The tech went over and serviced the AC quickly and efficiently. Cost was very reasonable. I will use them again for any issues.

The dual capacitor on the ac unit blew on a Friday night. The answering service was contacted Saturday morning and by 10:30 a.m., the problem had been resolved, allowing my daughter and granddaughter to return home and enjoy a nice, cool afternoon indoors.Thank you for providing both prompt service and a heads-up call when the technician was in route. P&M are great. Always friendly and timely and as far as my knowledge goes, they do a great job. Once I paid a pretty big bill twice (forgot that I had paid) and they instantly paid it back to me without me asking.

I started using P&M in the early 80s. First just to keep the system that came with the house running. When we remodeled the store in the early 90s, they put in the new system. Later when we remodeled our present home, in 94, they installed that system too. I was raised in a family business, we took very good care of our customers. The Maddux family takes very good care of theirs.

Im writing on behalf of my organization, Houston Professional Musicians Association, and we have been a client of P & M since they installed our commercial HVAC system in 2013. (Thats why I included so many categories of service-- weve had it ALL over the course of almost 10 years...) Way back then, the management of our organization had P& M install our HVAC system, two commercial units. Through the years, their prices have gone through the roof, but we stayed on because we felt it was prudent to dance with the guy that brung ya. NO MORE. Yesterday, they charged us $195 for a $20 float sensor PLUS a really high service charge fee. To replace one $20 float sensor, the bill was $373.46. When I called to speak with the service manager, he was belligerent from the get-go. He offered to cut a mere $50 of the total bill, and told me that I was accusing him of lying, which I most certainly did NOT. He told me that if I feel the need to go elsewhere, go ahead. So we will.If I could give them less than one star, I would-- but actually, one star is okay because I LOVED the service tech we had. We finally had found the one who was trustworthy and did a superb job. My problem was not with him; it is now with the attitude of his superiors.If you have money to burn, and particularly love being talked down to by the management, this is definitely the company for you.

Had my P & M semi-annual HVAC service this morning. Roy was on time and very professional. Got a good report that everything is ok. My Air Cleaner is working perfectly and I renewed my contract for semi-annual maintenance.Although my unit is over 10 years old it is in excellent condition thanks to the semi-annual service calls. Couldnt be more pleased with P & M. I would recommend them to everyone.

We used this company to completely replace our a/c system 2 years ago.The technicians are generally prompt and very well trained. They usually do an excellent job. Their accounting services do leave a lot to be desired. I would give them 5 stars for the work they perform, but can only give them a 2 because of their billing practices.

P&M Air Conditioning and Heating were professional and gave thoughtful information and discussion in helping me make a decision on furnace and air conditioner replacement. In spite of heavy rain and restricted space for replacement Joseph and his team were courteous and efficient in installation. The city inspector was impressed with the quality of their work. I highly recommend P&M.

P and M performs my twice a year maintenance, so when I had an issue with my AC, I called them out. They were there bright and early the next morning.Here is where it gets interesting: the technician, a NICE guy, goofed and added the wrong refrigerant to my system. Ouch, right?Well, these guys fixed everything, replacing major components of my unit, and made sure it was running in top shape before closing out the job. No arguing, no fussing. They were honest, up front, customer-service oriented, prompt...exactly what every company should aspire to. They have earned my business for the long haul. Five star service.

Excellent service from Ismael. The only problem was that I gave him my credit card and signed my life away in at least 3 different places on his iPad equivalent...but then I got an email from P&M Air Conditioning saying that I paid zero, which is not true. I hope the P&M will email me a response confirming that my bill is paid.

Run, do not walk. By far the most unprofessional, unethical company I have ever dealt with - and that includes the con artist that quoted me 30,000$ without even looking in my attic (separate company). The girls at the front (call center) are unhelpful, petty, condescending, and downright rude. Continued to contact a separate individual with zero connection to my home (other than his initial referral) for appointment follow-ups, notices that a tech was on the way (and then tried charging me no-show fees when i was never contacted to begin with), and never once explained to me the problem or what they had tried to do to fix it. In the end, I was stuck in a home at 95+ degrees for over a week, waiting 5+ hours a day for no one to ever arrive - and then berated and blamed for it....and billed. Also went into my home when I was not there, and I still do not know what occurred beyond the video footage my Ring captured. The only plus - Marshall was outstanding, ethical, and seemed very honest. Would 1000% refer and hope to work with if he ever left this crooked company. Still in total shock by all that took place. Simply awful.

We have used P&M Air Conditioning and Heating for more than 5 Years. They have provided excellent service every time. We had a new HVAC system put within the last couple of years. The technicians were knowledgeable and kept us updated on progress. We had one of the owners come for suggestions for providing more AC upstairs his suggestions (the lesser expensive) worked out beatifically. The owners are always responsive to our many questions. Earlier this year, we had the scrubber put in and it has decreased the musty smells that occur in an older home. Needless to say, we are very pleased.

Best A/C and Heating Company in town!! Our A/C unit went out last year.Their Service Technician Ismael was at our house at 7:30 am on a Saturday and diagnosed the Compressor was out. Since the unit was old with R22 Freon, we decided to go ahead and replace the unit. Ismael assured us they could have a new unit delivered Monday morning and installed beforeI got home from work. Sure enough, the install was completed early afternoon. I was having problems with my central heat on 11/19 andIsmael showed up again and fixed the problem. This Company has reasonable prices, friendly Office Staff and great Service Techs. It is a pleasure to do business with them.

P&M is very professional and always accomodating with scheduling service. For years I have had a service agreement for them to check my systems in the spring and fall. This way I know that I am ready for the air conditioning and heating seasons. Also this is a family business since 1947.

We had Robert G come out to repair our HVAC system. He was on-time, extremely professional and very thorough. He took the time to show us what he was doing, why he was doing it, and how it would benefit us in the long run. When the time came to pay the bill, he explained every line item and every cost. The best part - he quickly fixed our A/C and promised to follow up in a couple of weeks!Robert was the standard to which I will hold all contractors with whom I engage, and expect that they are will be this courteous, professional and capable.

I highly recommend P&M AC. In fact they were recommended to me by a competitor. The technician was professional and super nice, and very honest when he finally realized what the problem was. I also gave this company a big thumbs-up/shoutout on the NextDoor APP. The price paid was more than fair too. Im sticking with them from now on.

When I signed up for their maintenance policy (twice a year inspection) I relaxed about my A/C since they came so highly recommended. Now, and more important, I know their performance matches their reputation. I am ready to sign up for next year.

Robert, the service tech who conducted a complete diagnostic on my entire HVAC system, did an outstanding job. He was the ultimate service professional as was his assistant. Robert clearly communicated ecactly what he was about to do and why. Afterwards, he succinctly related what his findings were and offered recommendations for resolving the challenges found. I gave the approval and the corrections were expertly made to my complete satisfaction. What ever P&M is paying this guy, its not enough. Robert and his employer, Mike Maddox so well represented P&M AC so well that Ill not consider using anyone else for my AC service needs and am about to enter into a yearly service agreement with them.

I called for a 2nd opinion on an installation that had been done by another company at my place of business. Have been unable to use my unit . The repairman was prompt and able to explain what the problem was . Not only am I not up to City code but the unit was not exactly installed correctly. I am thankful for this company. My management Company was appreciative. Once the problem is resolved to specification I will continue to use them .

This HVAC company responded the same day and made the repairs quickly and efficiently. This was our first experience with them and it was a good one. We will call them again as needed for our property in Houston.

We have used P&M Air Conditioning and Heating for several years to maintain and repair the HVAC units at Westside Montessori School. Their communications are excellent and always let us know when a repair technician is on the way, or is delayed for some reason. We have been completely satisfied with their technicians. They are professional and always take the time to explain when they find something that needs to be repaired or replaced. We highly recommend P&M Air Conditioning and Heating.

This Company is very professional. They use skillful technicians that are available at all times to support their clients. Leon in one of them that has been working in our church AC system for many years and either a new project or just a routine maintenance, they have been done on time and with excellence.

Josh and Kadim (Leon) were very professional. Called bc Rudy could show up earlier than 1. He was in & out on my maintenance service. Rudy is a Nice guy & always fixes my ac right the first time. I’ve been with P & M for over 20 years. Even used them on my grandparents house.

This company is just a rip off - they wanted to charge 3x the cost of the refrigerant thinking I couldnt just look it up - charge to me $120/lb vs actual cost $40/lb! The $95 charge was a complete scam due to the company thinking I would just be an easy mark. Im asking for a refund because the service estimate was so off the mark and pathetic. The service technician that came was Ishmael. The quote which was approved by their office staff was a normal service fee and the fact that I would need at least 6 lbs of a refrigerant which could go up to 18 lb. The technician did not even know what the specific refrigerant was called. The worst though was the fact that the charge per pound would have been $120 per lb when the purchase price for R22 is actually only $40 per lb. So I refused the outrageous pricing estimate and he left. The next day had another provider, MultiService AC, come out so incurred Saturday call prices and service technicians put in 2.5 lb at $75 per lb, a reasonable markup, and the nominal amount for their work .

I do not give out compliments easily, but P & M is the very best HAVC firm in the Greater Houston Area. Reasonable prices, prompt and personal attention (including willingness to work with MY schedule), expert installation and repair. I would not trust anyone else to handle our HAVC needs. If you are not a customer, you should be.

P&M did a very thorough review and top notch, efficient installation of a Trane compressor-coil, including proper installation of a new TXV for the Trane 5 ton 16 SEER system. I can recommend them highly.

My AC wasnt working properly when I got home. I called the overnight dispatch and had two technicians out first thing in the morning. The problem turned out to be fried wires due to a power surge. The technicians identified and repaired the issue withing two hours. A++++

Galaxy FBO Commercial Preventative Maintenance Plan. Performed one PM call and failed to blow out drain lines which resulted in a leak. After poor performance went back on their quote to raise the price to more than triple their original quote.

P&M has been my A/C company for many years. They do quality work,

First tech wired replacement fan motor in reverse. Breaker trip continued. 2nd tech corrected it but new fan motor overheated and continued to trip breakers. 3rd tech, Jesus, arrived same day at 8 PM and was a michanic rather than a parts replacer. By 11PM on this Friday night he had it fixed.

P&M performed bleach cleaning of the condensate drain system and water washed the exterior cooling unit; plus performed electronic diagnostics. All well done.
