The Core Apartments

I just moved into this apartment due its great location and neighborly atmosphere. The letting agent, Rene Salinas, is very hospitable and made the application process go very smooth. He was informative, flexible and helpful in providing referrals for utilities and insurance. Within a matter of days I received my keys! Best value for money in this area.

I recently toured The Core Apartments. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The staff during the tour were extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions with great detail. Overall, I was very impressed and I would definitely recommend touring the complex if you’re looking for a place to live. It seems like a wonderful community, and the apartments are beautiful and well-maintained.

Just got approved! The grounds and amenities look upscale and clean, the unit has thick walls and great layouts as well. Rene was a ROCKSTAR on our tour and I’ve now spoken to I think every member of the office staff and they have all been kind, cheerful, informative and helpful. I have zero doubts Rene will be the man and help the rest of move in go smoothly! 10/10 all around.

I have been here roughly 2 years and my only complaint is that buffalo wild wings is too close to my apartment, but maybe thats a personal issue...Rene is always so quick to help, makes for a great front office experience and I am pretty sure Ive seen him clean every speck of the main building so far! As a Brookshire vet, he brings wisdom and charisma to the front office.Zoe has been great since she joined last year and always makes my pup feel welcome, just as the rest of the staff always does. Very pet friendly here! I work from home and can always count on her to answer any quick leasing or maintenance/building questions while I take my breaks from slaving away. She has an inviting, super knowledgeable and professional character about her, so if you have an issue, its likely a.. personal one :)

I’ve been living in this apartment building for the past year, and unfortunately, it’s been a constant struggle. From the start, the management has been unresponsive to maintenance requests. Simple issues like a leaking faucet and broken AC took weeks to address.The building itself is poorly maintained, with common areas often dirty and neglected. The elevators are constantly breaking down, and there’s a noticeable lack of security – the main entrance is often left open, and I’ve seen strangers roaming around the hallways at night.Noise levels are unbearable; thin walls mean you can hear everything from neighbors talking to doors slamming at all hours. Parking is also a nightmare, with limited spots and aggressive towing policies that make it hard to find a space.For the price you pay here, it’s simply not worth it. There are definitely better options in the area that offer more value, better service, and peace of mind. I’m looking forward to moving out as soon as possible.

My sister and I just had the opportunity to tour the apartments. Rene Salinas, truly made the whole experience so much better! We had spent the day looking at different properties but the friendly atmosphere really made this whole experience so much better feeling as if you were at home already.We really loved the amenities as well and we hope to become residents soon. Moved in to an apartment here about a week ago and it has been amazing so far. The apartment was clean and the community amenities are well kept. Rene went above and beyond in making sure I had a smooth move-in process and has personally seen that I have everything I need.

Ive been here for a year now and have genuinely had a great time here. The maintenance is always prompt, the front office staff - Rene and Zoe have always been professional and understanding regardless of whats going on. Although theres always going to be some issues because of how close it is to Washington avenue - these apartments are well maintained and in a great location so its never dull.PS:- I just want to add that Carlos from maintenance is a very cool guy and does a great job as well as Giovanni. Kristina from the front office is also very responsive and youll always find the solution to your problem if you talk to her.

Now that we no longer live there I feel like I can post an honest review. No apartment complex is perfect, but The Core definitely strives for it. Id recommend this place to ANYONE. Great amenities, neighbors, and staff. 2 years and minimal complaints.

I’ve been living here since August and it is hands down my favorite apartment complex I’ve ever lived in! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. From the moment my fiancé and I met Renee at the front desk we knew we were going to lease! The hallways are always clean and I’ve never had an issue with the elevators living on the 4th floor. The secure parking garage is so nice and has a skybridge which makes me feel very safe coming home at night. Anytime I’ve had a maintenance issue it has been fixed DAY OF which is UNHEARD OF!! The pool, grills and gyms are such nice amenities. Never had a problem with noise from neighbors and everyone who lives here has been so friendly. Only issue I have is I spend too much money at Cook Shack across the street bc the chicken is FIRE. I don’t understand the negative reviews because I personally have never had an issue and I think It’s so well priced for the location, amenities, staff and living experience.

What theres not a 4.5 star just 4 or 5??!! As you can tell I normally dont write reviews.Well so far so good! I’m new to apartment living but I looked around for a while and had a lot of things that I considered when making my decision. Location, also location in terms of how busy or loud the area could get, the vibe of the property (the look and general safe feeling/security) and amenities. The thing that I didn’t realize was that also factored in as a part of my decision in choosing which apartments to go with, was the general temperament of the office staff. When I first walked in I was welcomed in and was also offered a bottle of water. When Zoe arrived just a few short minutes after to give me the tour and help through the process, I felt very comfortable, not rushed or judged in any way which I really thought was super great. Also I will note that in my short time here and right away Rene was a standout in terms of being very helpful with any questions or requests. Earon and the rest of the office are also all friendly and helpful. This was educational for me because I hadnt even consciously considered that the apartment staff would rank high in terms of helping my decision.Ok now to some of the other things that helped my decision.amenities: Gym:After looking at a few places in the area and surrounding area, I was really impressed with all of the things the gym had to offer. Nice size, a sizable free weight selection (unlike many other places i had seen) a few good key muscle isolation machines, nice professional working machines and also a few good cabling stations as well.Pool: Well the 2 pools are beautiful to look at t’s not exactly the season currently but can’t wait! Also I will add I was even glad to see that they still tend to at least make sure that the courtyards don’t get overwhelmed with too many leaves everywhere from the trees.Oh and who can forget the Coffee Machine. Coffee, Cappuccino, espresso need I say more!!I will add and conclude the the vibe here is pretty chill I haven’t really seen anything that has been loud or riff-raffy. Overall have enjoyed my short time here.

Great apartments, fantastic management!The management is outstanding. They are professionals and absolutely excellent at their job. The maintenance crew are also phenomenal and quick!There are maybe a couple of new problematic residents, who slipped through the background check cracks, but the management has been actively dealing with their uncultured behavior very effectively and professionally. I won’t mention what, because it doesn’t matter since management has been actively on top of it.***A+ to the management and staff!***As with any medium-occupancy apartments, you will have some folks who don’t belong in a nice community, but that’s less than 1% of the people here. 99% of the residents are working professionals who are responsible and respectful.That said, even with the problematic people, the management has been absolutely excellent.Lastly, they just updated the first building’s pool area and it’s super nice. Hope they upgrade the pool and the grills in building 2 as well! They also offer super nice perks like restaurant discounts and social events and even massages!All of the above is why not everyone deserves to live here and I hope management exercises greater scrutiny because I love my neighbors and the fine folks running everything here. And they actively upgrade the facilities. They deserve raises and praises all around! Looking forward to renewing my contract.P.S. thank you to the management for their reply. I don’t have any new issues that have not already been addressed. You’ve been phenomenal. Thank you!!

I took a tour of the property today, and I absolutely love The Core. The community and amenities are great. Mr. Rene is amazing and the hospitality is top tier. You can feel that he genuinely cares. I look forward to becoming a resident!

I lived here for 15 months in the second building on the top floor. The only reason that I left was because I found a place closer to my job. I only have good things to say about the place and the staff that keep this place running. Maintenance was quick to address issues and they go above and beyond.

My husband and I lived here for a little over a year, I remember when we were on the hunt for apartments I always looked at reviews so here’s mine! The core was overall everything we were looking for. Location for the price range is great, so central to everything! The apartments themselves were very up to date and they tried to keep the halls and the outdoors clean regularly and had great amenities like gym and two pools, one for each building which was nice. As far as how safe it was, I never felt not safe. During our stay here there were probably a couple car break ins but living in the city I feel like you can’t escape crime. I’m giving this place a 4 star because The communication with management about things like maintenance sometimes lacked, they will tell you something is happening until a few days before which makes us hard to plan around which was a bit disappointing. Regardless, my husband and I felt like our experience here was overall good. If I were ever looking to rent again, i definitely would.

Rene Salinas is the best salesman. He showed my wife the apartment. She was in love with apartment. Its 6 minutes from my sons school. The reason why we moved.

Although I don’t live here and have only toured, I can’t say enough great things about this place. Rene is absolutely incredible at his job. I just adore him. He is the nicest and most genuine leasing agent I have ever met and I have toured so many places. He has extreme attention to detail and it is clear he loves what he does. He not only knows everyone by name, he knows what they do and what makes them different - he even knows all about their pets! I’ve never felt so welcome and comfortable touring an apartment. As for the grounds, everything was spotless! Rene was apologizing for the couple of leaves on the ground (outside!!) from the intense rain. It’s obvious this place has high standards for maintenance and cleanliness. Rene is incredible and helped make this place a huge contender for when it’s time for me to move. He’s truly the best to ever do it hands down.

You cannot beat the location! There is so much to do and so many places to eat within walking distance. I love it! The staff is 1st class! I will defiantly be leasing here when my current lease is up.

Toured the property last week with Rene, he was amazing and a delight! Very informative and made me feel like I was at home. His tour was 5/5 stars but wish the apartments were just a tad more updated, so would say apartments are 4/5. However, very clean property, nice staff, great rates for the location it’s in. If I wasn’t picky would definitely lease here!

Relaxed place to live with a lot of bars/restaurants and shopping (Walmart & HEB) nearby. Rene was really helpful and on top of things with the move in process (I had a tight schedule and he made it work.) Package delivery is handled really well. Units are spacious.UpdateAfter living here for a while:I can hear every step my neighbor takes upstairs. It shakes my cabinets. I know their schedule and it’s awful.Maintenance is top notch. As is the office.

I have lived here for two and a half years and I have never had an issue with an ongoing smell or dirtiness. -shout out to Renee for always keeping it clean- I live in building 2 and the hallways are cleaner or just as clean as any complex in this area/in the city - I have tons of friends in different complexes around the city for reference. I honestly love it here and the front office has been so sweet and helpful (they even literally scaled a fence to help me catch my dog that got away from me). The maintenance workers are amazing and always so nice and so quick to respond to requests. 10/10 recommend 🤍

Carlos is so amazing!!!! I never have to wait for maintenance! I get same day service and he works with my schedule!!! I been here for 4 years and he is absolutely amazing!

The electricity was down today at court due to the city doing work, but the office was so helpful and helping me deliver packages. Thanks, Cove for always being so helpful.

My roommate and I rented here from April 2019 until May 2020. Within the first 3 weeks we lived here, my roommate got his tires and rims stolen in the garage parking with secure access gates. Several other nice residents who lived here longer than us, approached us and stated theyve seen numerous rim and tire thefts since theyve been at The Core. During our 13 month lease, we have seen some more cars in the garage with their tires stolen and sitting on blocks. The gate is pretty much useless. It was broken numerous times and remained open repeatedly for anyone to enter. Ive done several maintenance requests for that issue alone. The building has a problem with pet waste, it can be found in the hallways on several occasions and sometimes just sits there for hours. I send the office an email for the sanitary issue and they simply tell me fill out a maintenance request. The maintenance staff is the saving grace of this place. They always resolve the issues fast. When it was time to renew, The Core wanted to increase the rent despite their lackluster service and livability. The price is hard to beat compared to other places but please if you must live here, get wheel locks and a tilt alarm for your vehicle especially if you drive a four door sedan. During the pandemic, The Core did lower the overall rent by about $150. I was fortunate to not be affected by the pandemic so the helpfulness of the rent decrease is to each his own.

The Core apartments is a gem in a popular part of Houston. Some things I noticed:The building has a decent gym overlooking Washington and plenty of space for parking.My fiancée and I had an amazing experience with Rene as he walked us through the buildings as well as being open and honest about his thoughts on various options of apartments. His perspective has helped us to narrow down options. You’ll have a great experience with him if you choose to tour Core.

Just renewed my lease for another year with nothing but good things to say. Great location, amenities, and staff, most notably Rene salinas. He is always readily available and helpful. Maintenance is quick and efficient and the quick accessibility to dining as well as the HEB is great.

Core Apartments are located in prime location with every facility in walking distance. The apartment community is friendly and good for peace lovers. I have been staying here for past year and half and have not had a single security issue. The maintenance team is very prompt in handling all the service requests.The leasing team is wonderful and cater to your smallest request ASAP.

The staff is always been there for me and has been very helpful with all questions and knees I ever needed and they love Lily my four-legged baby.

Pretty good apartment, great maintenance and front desk. Not the most luxurious, but good. I felt fairly safe here did not experience much. Some auto theft in garage, but that’s everywhere in Houston. Would recommend.

I have loved living here so far. Me and my fiancée moved in over a month ago and we have had zero issues.Our apartment was cleaned and in order when we first moved in. The security is more than adequate, and the other residents here are nice.I put in a maintenance request for an A/C issue the Sunday before Memorial Day and a repairman came within a few hours. I wasn’t expecting someone to come until that Tuesday but they surprised us (the A/C was fixed after him being here for 10 min).Lastly, the front office is what sold us on this complex. Rene was who helped show the unit and tell us why we should move there. My mother is a property manager herself and the way he helps run the property gave me nothing but green flags. He’s a big reason why we leaned towards moving here, and everything since moving in has exceeded expectations.After moving in, I’ve also met Tori who works at the front office as well and she is great! Helping me with my questions and also keeping track of my ikea orders that were coming in. The entire front office has been amazing and I’m so happy they are here at the Core.We have nothing but positives things say here. 5 ⭐️’s!

Rene went above and beyond to help me with my application and submitting all the documents I would need for an approval. He was diligent and efficient. Due to unforeseen circumstances I needed to move in within 3 days and I was able to with his help. I’m so appreciative he made the move in process a lot less stressful. We were refused by the leasing office to be shown around and then told to book the tour online. We did and the online booking system allowed us to book for Sunday. The day they’re CLOSED. Well they lost potential renters for their refusal

The location is great. I can access the freeway in no time. The property is always kept clean and if I have any concerns every time i call the office I get greeted professionally and they will address my concern right away. The entire staff really seem to care about their tenants.

New tenant, transferred from another Berkshire property to here with no issues. From the day I first scheduled a tour until move-in day 3 weeks later, leasing agent Rene was extremely personable, informative, and helpful. I also met Christina and Erin, who were just as bubbly and friendly. Great location, reasonable rent for the area… looking forward to a great residency here!

Beware of car break-ins, unkept dog parks, and a lack of communication. I lived here from August 2023-June 2024.In November there were car break ins in the “secure” gated area of the parking garage. They sent out an email saying it would be investigated and that was all. I was wary of parking there but obviously didn’t have a choice so I continued to park in the parking garage. About a month later, My car and other were broken into. My car had very significant damage and after filing a police report I went to the office to let them know. The office told me that they already knew about it and that multiple other people had theirs broken into also. I am confused as to why, if they already knew my car was broken into, they didn’t reach out. Weird, but ok.There are two dog parks attached to the second building. One dog park has nice string lights and fake grass. The residents that use this dog park leave their dog poop everywhere to the point of it being hard to even walk around. The other dog park is mostly dirt/mud when it rains. That one is much larger and seemed to be the more used park of the two.When I got a new job out of state, I went to the office to ask questions about the move out procedures in May. I talked to 2 different people in the office and both said all I need to do is return my keys. I told them when I would be moving out and one of them let me know that I could just slip my keys under the office gate if I wanted to move out when the office was closed. I moved out of my apartment in June (before my lease ended). A few days later I got a voicemail saying to call back about my move out. I called back twice with no response so I assumed it wasn’t very important. That is until they called my guarantor saying I abruptly left. They then sent me an email saying I would be charged a bunch of fees and then never responded to any emails back and never picked up the phone when I called. The lack of communication is just ridiculous.

We have been at the Core for almost a year now and so far, so good! It’s a fairly quiet community with nice neighbors and a good office staff. My only complaints would be the condition of our unit at move-in— we don’t feel like it was totally ready as a lot of the paint is peeling, the floors are scratched and stained, and a few other minor things. The machines in the gym could use a little TLC as it seems more people have been using the gym lately. Other than that, we are happy at The Core and plan on renewing our lease.

Rene truly made the experience and process so easy and fast in regards to leasing. Answer any questions we had and was just a great person in introducing us to the community and what they have to offer. If youre curious about these apartments just ask for rene!

Great place to live! I’ve been here about a year and a half now and I couldn’t be happier with my unit. Natural sun light, close to the highway and downtown are some notable attributes of The Core. I don’t live at The Core, but I kind of wish I chose to. When I visited The Core to get information on apartments, Rene Salinas was there to eagerly help me. He was so nice; he treated me like a friend that he had known for a while. Prices were a little too high for an apartment that was smaller than what I was used to living in… Rene was working diligently…trying to figure out the best rate for me, with different move in dates… Turns out, the final price after including the on-site storage unit (which I needed) was over my budget. So I chose to wait.A week or so later, I noticed online that prices dropped. I went in to visit again. I had a great experience again. Cristina and Erin were super nice. I really liked the apartment which I was shown. But there were no storage units available anymore. So I chose to still keep looking because of that. Then I ended up choosing a different apartment complex💔

I had previously done a walk in with a hopefully attempt to tour this apartment and Rene was kind enough to give us one right on the spot! Unlike other apartment managements I can tell Rene and the rest of the management genuinely care about the complex. He made the tour exciting and fresh change of pace. He knew all the residences names by heart and had pleasure speaking to them. When I called back weeks later to talk about a specific unit he greeted me with nothing but open arms and a smile.

Moved in a month ago. Nice amenities and great price. Rene and the staff have been very helpful and attentive.

Ultimately did not end up leasing at The Core as we wanted a more modem feeling unit, however working with Rene was a fantastic experience. A true industry professional for 20+ years. Location is prime and amenities appear great; as long as you’re not hung up on modern cabinets, countertops, and carpets, you might not find a better deal and better leasing agent than Rene and the team at The Core. Ideal for a college aged person or single young professional.

My husband and I had a very lovely experience at The Core! The whole staff, Cristina, Erin, the rest of the staff and the entire maintenance team, Carlos, William, was phenomenal. I can’t really complain about The Core. Lastly, a huge thank you to Cristina. She was our girl that would help us out in any way she could. She helped us from the first day of touring the complex, to moving in and moving out. Definitely recommend this place. 🤗

The best experience! Rene is what sold us on the apartment. They were warm and attentive. Although, we did not have an appointment, they took us on a tour and did not rush the process. I just came back from touring the apartment and immediately put in an application, and I wanted to leave my impression thus far.For context, I went from reading reviews of apartments last night to scheduling an appointment for today in the afternoon, and before I even arrived, Id already received a call from Rene as well as a unit that both fit my budget and was available in the time-frame Im looking to move.I met Rene at my appointment and it was an incredibly helpful experience. We did the typical things, going over floor plans, amenities, and given a tour, but it was the very friendly service with my interests in mind from start to finish that elevated the experience.What drew me to this complex out of the others in the area is not just the rating on Google but the sheer amount of reviews that got it there. Other complexes go through management or name changes, and they restart all their reviews so its hard to know if theyre good over a long period of time. Rene said hes only been with the community for 26 years while maintenance and other management have been for at least 30. Community and longevity matter, and everything Ive seen has been a great sign.I hope to update this review in the future after the application process completes and after hopefully living here.

I’ve been here about 6 months and I love it! Everyone in the office is so kind and helpful. My neighbors are great. It’s so quiet here in building 2 and I love my floor plan.The building is a little older but charming. Location is perfect 👍🏻

This was one of the best apartment experiences I’ve ever had. They are quick to respond, always willing to help, and very organized. Rene always goes out of his way to resolve any issue. Based on how well received this complex is by others, and the care that was demonstrated throughout this process up to this point, I know for certain we made a terrific choice. I’ve lived at this complex for nearly two years. It’s a really nice complex with great amenities. Great food, bars, coffee shop and and HEB are walking distance. The front staff is great, Rene and Cristina have been very helpful countless times and have gone out of their way to make sure we are comfortable and everything is in working order. I lived at the Core for 3 years and Im going to miss it so much! Never got a chance to tour before I initially moved in but I ended up loving the neighborhood. Its in an amazing location that is well connected to The Heights and walkable to grocery stores, restaurants and bars. I also loved taking my bike out and riding along the bayou trails. This community is so friendly, and I met the most amazing neighbors and friends while living here.The management and maintenance teams at The Core are also exceptional! My work orders were always done promptly and the maintenance guys are always so friendly. Everyone in the office is immensely helpful and attentive. Huge thank you to this team for making it such a great place to live these past few years.

Rene is AWESOME!!!!!!! He made our leasing process seamless from beginning to end. We were really nervous about relocating without actually touring the community first. Rene exceeded our expectations by showing the property virtually, giving us the history of the building, and informing us about the many restaurants, shopping, and activities that the area has to offer. He explained the process thoroughly and made sure that we were comfortable with our Unit selection. He went over and beyond to ease the anxiety of moving to a new city. I took a tour today of these gorgeous apartments after recently viewing another complex earlier that disappointed me. I instantly fell in love with the cleanliness and ambiance. I was worried I wouldn’t be able to tour since I was just dropping in without warning but Rene was so eager to help and ensure we were happy. Not only did he try his best to find the best unit for what I was looking for, he made sure to look at the actual unit and make notes of things that needed fixing. The area is awesome and so much is nearby but the actual complex is still quiet. I’m looking forward to living here and will be sure to update my review as time goes on.

I loved living here at The Core. Earon & Cristina are awesome managers. Cristina is so responsive and helpful. Maintenance requests are handled quickly and efficiently. They typically provide snacks and treats for residents on holidays which is appreciated. Coffee/espresso/latte is always available for residents and its very good!

I highly recommend choosing The Core as your next home. Not only is it walking distance from an HEB, but youre also walking distance from some amazing restaurants like Truth BBQ and Star Pizza. The other direction youve got places like Burger Bodega and Bedrock City comics. All without needing to drive.Aside from that, The Core is a fantastic choice for a safe community. The garage is gated and only accessible to residents. I had to mow through 80+ apartment choices online and finding one that did not have reports of break-ins or vehicle theft was difficult. Even at your higher end apartments.On top of this, you have exceptional staff members like Rene who are genuine and down-to-earth. Nothing sketchy about this guy whatsoever. He let us know which units would fit our needs as far as space and budget.The community has two pools(one at the center of each building), a rec-room, fitness center, and complimentary coffee lounge.Highly recommend!!! Ask for Rene when you book a tour!!!

I specifically have had awesome interactions with their leasing consultant, Rene. He’s always in a great mood and eager to help however he can!

I just moved out of the Core apartment for the first time in about 3 years. There were some ups and downs throughout but over time their attention to detail and resident experience has gotten better and better. The maintenance guys and the two guys running the front desks are great. Notably one of their workers Rene Salinas is super welcoming, chipper, and helpful. In the most recent time these guys helped me I was in a tough spot trying to retrieve an internet modem box from my apartment after I moved out. Rene was super happy to help. Without that my internet company would have charged me ~$300 to replace it. Thanks Core and Rene!

The apt and building are fine, loud noises and car break ins in the garage are a weekly occurrence. Just know that upon move out you will be ripped off on charges and that the current manager, Earon, is rude and unprofessional. I scheduled an appointment via email weeks in advance, took half day off from work only to arrive there and be dismissed because theyre too busy to see me.

We have lived here for 1.5 years and love it. Amenities are nice and well maintained. Great gym for an apartment. Awesome location with cool bars/restaurants continuing to pop up in the area. And the staff if always very friendly.

This a wonderful community! My neighbors are great, the leasing staff are so sweet and helpful! The maintenance team rocks and are proactive. I was thinking of moving here, but after what I heard about this place… not a chance. Someone I know lives here and I always hear about a broken elevator, filthy common areas and unfriendly staff. What a shame

The Core is a great apartment complex. Earon and Cristina are phenomenal! They are both very responsive, caring and helpful. The Core would not be the same without them. The maintenance crew resolves issues very quickly - and all of the maintenance workers are very nice.The units are spacious with walk-in closets. The location is convenient and near many restaurants.

I have consistently experienced the best residential support services of my life with the Core. The staff are friendly and helpful, and always have a smile on their faces. Anytime and every time I have submitted a maintenance request, I’ve received a prompt response - and the issue has been resolved within a day (although often it’s within a few hours!). Whether it was changing light bulbs, replacing/removing furniture, or servicing the plumbing and electricity, maintence quickly and thoroughly ensured that I have an optimal living environment. I intend to continue renting from The Core for the until I decide it’s time to buy a home, and I strongly recommend their properties to all; the neighborhood is safe, the community friendly, you couldn’t ask more of the staff, and the central location of the Washington Core complex (near so many many highway arteries of the city) makes it a sought after location. In some ways, a property management company can make or break the living experience, but with The Core, it’s honestly four stars in the service. I couldn’t be happier with my present accommodations and happily recommend it :)

Please know they are unethical, and Earon is teaching her employees very conning business practices. They will go out of their way to impress you when you are looking for an apartment; however, they are immoral and shady once your lease is up.I had to dispute the fraudulent charges they reported to the collections agency. Thankfully, I had supported emails to prove their unethical charges and great credit to prove I pay my obligations/commitments. They do the very minimum to inform you of potential charges then use the minimal effort to say they informed you.Also, the shower/bath was unable to be used for over a month after it leaked on the tenant below me for 10 months (which she reported when I first moved in but they didn’t do anything about it until I moved out). They also did a walkthrough a day or two after my lease was done but continued to charge me rent.Be sure to get Earon’s (top manager) approval and not any other managers because she is the one that will swindle you.Lastly, the lack of security and non working cameras in the parking garage make for constant break-ins. My sister’s car was stolen off the first floor next to building 2 mail room and dog park (in view of the “pretend” cameras), which is when I found out the cameras actually don’t work.Response to below: Then you shouldn’t have APPROVED me returning the keys when I got back in town when I offered to overnight them to AVOID being charged. Furthermore, since it’s policy to charge me rent 🙄then you shouldn’t have done a walkthrough before I returned the keys.

If you are on the fence about where to move, look no further…this place is an absolute gem. Rene is a phenomenal leasing agent who made the leasing process so easy. I have never had to look for an apartment, and this was my first experience. Bethany and the rest of the staff are very helpful and put my worries at ease. Bethany went beyond what was expected in terms of putting any concerns that I have to rest and answered all questions that I had. The apartment that I now have is clean and spacious and meet my needs nicely. New flooring and new appliances. Plenty of parking. Very happy here, and I think that my stay here will be a very pleasant one. The Core is located in a very convenient location where access to shopping and dining is within walking distance.

The Core is a pretty good spot to live in. The apartment units are very spacious. Very responsive and attentive when running into any maintenance issues.The staff also puts on events for the community and brings food trucks when there is no energy to cook.A great experience so far!

I moved into The Core a few months ago and have had a great experience living here so far. Bethany, Christina, and the rest of the leasing team were super helpful and responsive during the move-in process and are quick to respond to emails or calls. The maintenance team is also quick to respond to repair requests. Grounds and building are kept clean and great communication from the leasing team regarding ongoing activities/events.

Was looking for an apartment for my sister and brother in-law recently. The Core team was a huge help and knowledgeable about their facility. Brittany R helped us with the tour, leasing process, and setting our move in date. She was very nice and informative to their needs. The interior and grounds are great and the location is perfect. Love all the dog station throughout the complex. I highly recommend them for your next move in residence.

I love living here. The location and complex is amazing. One of my favorite parts is the staff here, theyre all so kind and helpful. Its always great running into staff around the complex, especially Walter. Hes so friendly and always ready to help!! He always answers any questions I have about my unit and the complex itself. I will preface this by saying I believe a lot of my issues fall back to having a leasing agent that was not very helpful. While the location is great and the apartment is nice enough, my entire move has been a headache. Based on the listed prices and specials I went into this knowing I was most likely going to lease here as long as the place was clean. My leasing agent made the process like pulling teeth when it could have been the easiest lease she got. From not returning phone calls, not showing me an A1 until 2 days before move in, not giving me the right information etc. Once I finally got into the unit, nothing was cleaned from the washer/dryer to the toilet. Then it took 6 days for someone to come in and make it move-in ready. After all of that, I am finally at a point where I can say I am comfortable with the unit but there are nicer more updated apartments throughout the area for the 1300/1400 price range. What keeps me satisfied is knowing that I was able to lock in a discounted rate and so far everything outside of the unit has been nice. Neighbors, location, noise, parking etc all great so far.Also, it is very obvious that a lot of the reviews on here are copy and pasted.

These apartments are in a great location and well maintained. My apartment had a spacious layout and being on the 4th floor my ceilings were high. Despite being in the city, close to restaurants I had minimal problems with pests. I loved living here so much. The amenities were good too. Shout out to the maintenance guys! They are one of the best aspects of the Core and keep everything running smoothly. Appreciate their time and effort in addressing any issues I ever had.

My husband & I have been living here for about 3 years and love it. The pools are beautiful and there are several dog parks making it easier to take care of the fur babies. Maintenance and management respond to questions or concerns in 24hrs or less. We have certainly enjoyed our time living here.

The Core has amazing staff. At the front desk, really nice, Earon, and Cristina too. I recommend 100% to move to this property! What I love most about living here is the help. Jose is hands down the best handyman I have ever had living in a complex. He always has a smile on his face and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is operating smooth. He is the hardest worker I have met, but he never complains, even on the hottest days. All the staff is fantastic and I love knowing anything I need fix will be done in a matter of hours! This is a great location and a great place to live!

Outdated and poorly maintained structure. The move-out process was nothing short of a nightmare. The sheer incompetence of the management made the already stressful experience of moving even more unbearable. They seemed completely unprepared, disorganized, and indifferent to the concerns of the tenants. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a place to call home.

I originally took a tour of The Core in December and Anna was so kind and helpful. The property is beautiful in design and I love all the dog stations on site. Anna continued to follow up with me until the perfect unit was available and was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process! If it wasn’t for Anna I probably would have ended up leasing somewhere else but she truly cared and reflects well on the management of the property.I would recommend checking out the Core as your future place of residence :)

I have been living here for a little over a year and I think its a great place to live. The leasing office staff and property managers are excellent. The maintenance staff handles all request pretty quickly and do a great job. You cant beat the location because it is close to everything here in Houston. I would recommend anyone to live here.

This location is good, but, what really makes this place special is the staff. Marisa has the patience of Job, and happily and patiently handles residents and requests promptly and with a smile. I was referred by a friend and she FaceTimed me while meeting with one of the leasing office staff for a tour.Overall, you have friendly management; responsive, funny & friendly maintenance staff; spacious, quiet, well-kept apartments; access to I-10; proximity to restaurants, bars, parks, even the new HEB, in the Heights area; great community amenities like pools, hot tub, and dog parks; community events like food truck socials; 24 hour gym; parking garage that doesnt take 10 minutes to get out and spacious spots; and convenient package pickup system. I highly recommend if youre looking for your next apartment home.*I’ll provide another update after a few more months.

I moved to the Core a few months ago because of the wonderful location, various amenities and a great loft style apartment at an affordable price. I have been very happy here. The staff here is wonderful and make me feel like family.Erin, Chandler, Madison and Ana always greet me with a smile and are very attentive to the needs of residents, creating a great sense of community.If you have fur babies, particularly dogs, this is the place for you! We have a great dog park where the residents socialize while the dogs do the same. Great friends and lots of dogs having fun help me get over the stress of the work day. I think I look as forward to visiting the dog park as much as my boys do, as I have made so many good friends.I just wanted to say thank you to the Core for making my temporary home feel like home.

Great place to live in ! the property is so clean & it’ll help out a lot if the residents cleaned up after their pets ! I think it’s their own responsibility to clean after themselves or anyone that chooses to live with them, it only seems fair , but so far , a great place to live in, gorgeous apartments with amazing local stores & bars, 9/10 would recommend to live here , just please clean after your pets. Although we do have amazing workers like william , it would be really appreciated if everyone put in a little effort to have some respect for their workers, it’s the least we could do, clean up after yourself !

I’ve lived at The Core for just over 3 months now and love the property! Coming from an apartment complex that was rather unresponsive, The Core has done exceedingly well with any requests and inquiries.My recent maintenance request for an A/C issue was resolved within 24 hours; the staff was incredibly helpful.Also, Ashley & Madison are a couple of friendly faces in the office that are both intelligent and eager to help anyway they can.Awesome place to live!

Everyone that works here is super kind and helpful. Rene especially has been extremely helpful with my move in process, and I couldnt ask for a better experience!

Have lived at the Core for a year now and decided to extend my lease because I like it so much here! Everyone in the leasing office is so friendly and helpful, the maintenance crew is quick to help with any issues you have. There are two pools, both of which a clean and relaxing. The fitness center is up to date and clean. Everything in the apartment is up to date.

I have been living at the Core for over a year, and I highly recommend this apartment community.Location is ideal, close to everiting you have grocery stores and restaurants in walking distance and I10 is just 2 lights away.Price is great for the amount of space these apartments have. Even their smallest 1 bedroom fits large furniture. The amenities are well kept and any request I have had has been completed very quickly.The residents I have meet are very friendly and the community is also pet friendly with a large pet park.Overall Im very happy with this community and will gladly renew my lease for an upcoming year. Also the staff is great specially Kenneth he is always friendly and professional.

Rene is an absolute delight! He was the host of my tour and made the experience 100/10! If I could give him more than 5 stars, I most definitely would.

Did not end up choosing apartment here, but the customer service was amazing. Brittany was predominately helping me through the process and went above and beyond. When I was not able to tour the property in person due to work, she sent me video and photos to show what the spaces looked like and followed up with me to ensure I had all of the information I needed to make my decision. If this is a place you are considering, I strongly recommend you ask to speak with Brittany.

I have lived in The Core for about a week. The move in process was extremely easy and management was very flexible with lease negotiations. There were a few issues with my unit (nothing major) and the maintenance department corrected them the same day I submitted the request. Overall I think the community is clean and presentable and Im proud to tell people I live there. As I was getting home yesterday, I noticed there is a security guard who patrols the parking garage and is stationed at the entrance - very comforting! The gym is large and kept really cold so its nice to workout there. I wouldnt really consider the 3 computers a business center when they dont even have Microsoft Office... I couldnt open anything in Word or Powerpoint for school. Seems like something that could be upgraded easily and for little cost. If you are seeking an apartment in a great location at a reasonable price, The Core should be on your list.

Ive lived at The Core for over 7 months now and it has been nothing but a great experience. You cant beat the price and the leasing agents and managers have always been super helpful. Chandler and Ashley are always really friendly and happy to help with everything. The only problem Ive ever had was a lightbulb went out and it was fixed the next day. Definitely planning on renewing my lease!

I dont usually review things but I had to tell about my experience with Anna. I came in to look for my next Houston home and loved the property. It is a beautiful place with an ideal location, but the real motivator behind my decision was the service I received from Anna. She was beyond helpful and has answered all 1 million of my questions. She has been prompt, honest, and gone above and beyond and IM NOT EVEN A RESIDENT YET. I can not wait to move in and I feel secure in my decision knowing such amazing people work at The Core. Thank You for making this madness called apartment hunting a little more bearable and dare I say enjoyable.

Awesome place to live. HEB, Bdubs and bars all right next to you. Amenities are always well maintained and not too crowded. Maintenance is very responsive, every time I’ve submitted a request it was addressed the next day. The leasing office staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

I received great assistance coming in to view 1 bedroom apts and the property at The Core. Tour was very thorough and I received a ton of helpful information and wonderful service from Representative Sandra. I loved the amenities. This is a place that is definitely on my list for my upcoming move!

I stopped into The Core today and Rene and Earon were awesome! They were so helpful and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.

Great location. The apartments are nice inside and the location is great. Downside the elevators do not work all the time. The trash smells pretty bad. On the positive the gym is nice. The manager and staff are very nice. They fix things in a timely manner and nice neighbors. Parking is not ideal but they do have a garage. Visitors can park on the street.

Living at the core has been a great experience, we toured several communities but I’m glad we chose this one. The complex is beautiful and well kept up! It is in a great location and has nice amenities. The staff has always been helpful, friendly, and attentive. Will definitely be renewing here!

The Core is one of the best properties I have lived @ with a very competitive price for the area, trust me I looked around like crazy. Earon the property manager went above and beyond making sure I was super happy, it really felt like a family with a professional twist to it. She did everything she could to make the place safe, listened and hosted meeting to hear any complaints or room for improvements, I mean who does that? Thanks Earon. Maintenance was super fast, I mean like the same day. I would recommend anybody to experience The Core living.Antonio.

Very nice apartments! I don’t live here but my boyfriend does. Whenever I come to visit, the staff is always so polite and welcoming! Anna always greats me with a smile and warm welcome.I definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a spacious and welcoming community.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! On the first night of us moving there they stole the rims off our car, on the second floor of the garage parking. Keep in mind that you need a remote control to even get into the garage. If, you read older reviews, this is not the first time this happens. This has been going on for years. The cops that live here told me this has happened several times before and it is unlikely that they will find the person who did it, so it’s best to file a claim with our insurance (if we didn’t have the right insurance coverages this would have raised our rates and counted against us). When we complained to office they told us they would look at the camera and that this has been happening around the area. The best they could do was let us out of our lease (for the record we lived in other apartments less than half a mile away and this NEVER happened. Also, we never heard back from them regarding what they found on cameras). It doesn’t take a genius to realize, if you need a remote to get in the garage then obviously it’s someone who lives here. But, instead of hiring security to monitor the garage they’ll tell you they have police on site (only when they get off their shift, so obviously they’re not continuously monitoring the premises). The last straw was today when they stole/removed our bike from the balcony on the SECOND FLOOR! How?? This was after management sent several emails to tenants regarding things that couldn’t be left on the balcony (bikes were never mentioned). Save yourself the money and the stress and don’t move here. If, someone really stole our bike from the second floor, it’s scary to think that they could have entered our apartment to steal other things while my daughter and I were home. For the amount they charge, you can definitely find something better.

I have lived here for over a year now and dont plan to move anytime soon. The office staff has been pleasant to deal with. They are friendly and prompt. The maintenance guys are quick to fix issues and also do a good job keeping the common areas clean. I would recommend the core to my friends.

Love this place, way better than my old building. The staff and maintenance crew always address my needs in a timely manner. And the location is great! And astonishingly, I can barely hear the train! (that was originally a concern)All the restaurants and bars are a huge plus. And we have access to 6 Grocery Stores. (including Walmart and Target) And everything else is just down the street or near by. The bike paths near by are awesome. I can bike into downtown and beyond or to Memorial Park! (I usually just bike to breakfast/coffee though)And living near the Heights has the benefit of not flooding. The low streets/higways and bayous may flood. This place should stay high and dry.As for security, This is Houston. Put wheel locks (I think wheel locks are a must in this city)on your car. Dont leave your bike on your balcony and dont prop open a gate/door because you have a large group of friends over. Boom, problems solved.August 2023 will be 3 years,Still love this place, They are always doing maintenance on the building. Which is really nice to see. I am getting spoiled by the maintenance crew. So fast! I even ask them to clean my parking spot after my car leaked oil all over it. THEY DID IT! I dont think any other place would have done that. Just wanted to say thank you. And I hope to be here for a while longer.

Updated Review: Its great to be home! As always, the staff at The Core has gone above and beyond! They not only checked on me when they saw a water leak during the winter storm but Earon stayed at the office till the late hours to address issues/concerns about the property. Ive lived other places but NO ONE takes care of their tenants like the staff at The Core!Chandler and the rest of the staff at The Core are simply amazing! They go above and beyond to make you feel at home. I had a problem with my AC and they fixed it the same day, as well as left me popcorn as a snack. I have never lived in a complex that has gone above and beyond like The Core has and absolutely love living here!

Im so in love with these apartments. My girlfriend and I were searching for a place. And we found this one. We have been living here for about 5 months now. We feel the staff here is very friendly. Im so happy we chose this complex. We couldnt have done it without the sweet girl Marissa. I would highly recommend these apartments!

The Core Apartment on Washington ave staff was super helpful and welcoming when we went to see an apartment for my brother. Anna was who assisted us and showed us the space. Aha made the process easy and to the date is always there to help with anything.We loved the interiors and facilities. Location is unbeatable as it is close to everything. Highly recommended.

After a long drive in from Austin, Chandler was able to find me a great apartment in no time. She was extremely knowledgeable about all of the floor plans, rental process, and offered great insight. The property itself was immaculate and very welcoming.

Enjoyed living here—very nice pool area and facilities. Package system is super easy and convenient, available 24/7, safe, and overall better than any apartment Ive lived at. Good staff, prompt maintenance team, and great location make this a wonderful place to live.

I am a current resident and I thought it would be helpful to share my experience for anyone thinking about living in this place. It appears very nice from the view you are shown on the tour, and the price is cheaper than anywhere near the location. Well there is a reason for that. Management does a terrible job with this building. They recently scheduled a major bathroom maintenance in my apartment without even telling me. I came home from a vacation and my apartment was a construction site. Not even a phone call warning telling me to hide my valuables. Im still not sure if the workers stole anything or not, because the job isnt done 7 days later. The office never even came close to apologizing...excuse after excuse. I cannot wait until my lease is done. This place is cheap, but it should be dirt cheap.Also, the hallways are covered in dog poop, the trash chutes stink, the entire building is just disgusting, there are always break-ins. Its as if I am paying a ton to live in the projects. I wouldnt recommend the Core to my worst enemy.
