Centre at Columbia Court

I rented this place because I’m undergoing treatment at MD Anderson. It’s a quick drive to my treatments and I have found it’s spacious . I wanted a place that would be comfortable for my caregivers also. We each have our own bathroom. Because of my condition my family cleaned it again and again. Emilio was very helpful on my family finding the right floor plan for me. He also made sure the place got sprayed and everything that wasn’t ready got put on the list and promptly fixed. So far I’m pretty pleased with this place. Not sure what’s going on with the mail, but apparently it’s not delivering right now. Amazon is though!

As a University of Houston graduate student and former President of the Graduate Professional Student Association, I DO NOT RECOMMEND Centre at Columbia Court. Please consider other options (especially out-of-state) graduate students if you are looking for housing options.I am an out-of-state resident and was alarmed at how disrespectful this company was to me and several other students.The treatment I endured during my sole month stay at the Centre at Columbia Court showed a lack of attention to detail, inability to follow through with repairs, and zero compassion for their tenants.On September 1st, 2022, I moved into the Centre at Columbia Court for my anticipated second year of my dual degree. A Doctorate in Musical Arts and a Masters in Arts Leadership. Shortly afterward, I was surprised by a series of repairs that impacted my health and my emotional wellbeing. Varying from discolored water falling from the ceiling, air conditioning not working during high temperatures, laundry machine failing to complete a full cycle, black mold brewing from the laundry machine, and the list can go on.I submitted several work order requests that were assigned but never completed. Leading to weeks of back and forth trying to escape the situation that was impacting me severely. For weeks, no one came to repair anything.To keep my health from being compromised, I had to move black water from the broken laundry machine cup by cup into a bucket just to breathe cleanly. The lack of air circulation caused by a malfunction with the air conditioning created issues with breathing.I am a flute player. This is my profession. Centre at Columbia Court could have compromised my career due to their negligence and lack of follow-through with repairs. Therefore, I took matters into my own hands and took care of the situation by terminating my lease.If you are an artist or if you are a graduate student, BEWARE! I do not believe this company or apartment complex has their tenants in the best mind.

I toured Centre at columbia court with Emilio, and he was great! Super knowledgeable and had a really positive attitude. He answered all my questions and made the tour easy. The property looks amazing, and I’ll probably be submitting an application soon. Highly recommend Emilio for the tour!

This apartment is pretty nice and if I took into consideration the safe area around and HEB in walking distance I think its one of the best affordable apartments for the young adults and students in this part of Houston.Also want to say thank you to Emilio for his help with the application process.

Where do I start? The mold? The car break ins? The roaches? The horrible management/ communication? The negligent maintenance? The getting charged a whole months rent AFTER my lease ended? This place is complete TRASH. All they care about is taking your money. They couldn’t care less about the safety of residents. Any and every problem brought to their attention, they disregarded. DO NOT MOVE HERE unless you want constant bugs, mold, to waste your money, or to hurt your mental health. One of the worst years of my life.

The management is really helpful. We just moved in a couple of days ago and the application and move in process was not easy (when is it ever?) but Emilio in management helped a lot.The apartment was clean upon moving in but the appliances are a little outdated, but overall its great if their target residents are students. The common areas (pool, business center and gym) are pretty clean and the neighbors seem nice too.

I recently toured and I must say Maria and her team were extremely nice and helpful. I had so many questions and concerns and they answered each and every single one! The office was inviting and they had the good snacks y’all! Thank you for providing such great customer service. I highly recommend anyone looking for an apartment to come here and Maria/Emilio can help you! The location is great and you will be treated as a person and not just an apt number. Looking forward to moving in!

MOLD!! MOLD!! MOLD!!I recently underwent a sinus surgery that I thought was because of allergies. After recovering from the surgery my surgeon expressed grave concern on what he found! He found fungus and mold that he says only occurs from extended periods of mold exposure. I do not have a history of health concerns. I have always been pretty healthy. The centre at Columbia court was the only placed I lived the past 2 years since moving to Texas! I have since moved out. For your health PLEASEEE do not move here. And if you currently live here I would definitely go get tested or look into this!!!!! It can save your life!Also, if you scroll down through elder reviews other tenants have complained about mold for years. I wish I would have known!!

Good location and friendly staff, but noise can be an issue and maintenance requests take longer than expected. Overall, decent amenities and spacious units.

Been staying here for 2 months now and it’s been great. The premises feel very safe and the support from the office staff has been amazing.

This has been the smoothest transition from one residence to this place which has exceeded my expectations the agent who took care of named Emilio was outstanding., Emilio explained and was very helpful throughout and leasing process. I was kept informed and guided and my questions were answered in a prompt and courteous manner. Im looking forward to a pleasant friendly environment.

Worst apartment complex I have ever lived in ! I’ve been having a bug issue since August 2023 !!! Issue has never been addressed ! Multiple maintenance requests problem never resolved. Recently experienced a maggot issue TWICE ! Went down to management and was advised to take care of the problem myself due to maintenance not being able to be called to the unit ! Also mold on the floor boards in one of the bathrooms . Had to go out and spend money on pesticide to take care of the issue , truly disappointed in management these are not good living conditions.

Have really enjoyed living here for the couple months that we’ve been here. The leasing staff are very helpful.

LISTEN to me DONT you ever move to this MESS, ever since I moved it’s been hell, problem after problem with everything, the only reason i stayed here is because I had already signed the contract, they tell you something when they’re showing you the apartment and then when you actually live here is totally different, the rent price included the internet service and tv service and now they’re not going to provide that service anymore and they are not going to deduct it from the rent price, they literally have not answered any of my messages, if you want to move here just listen to me and DONT. trust me you’ll regret it, the management is a MESS!!!!

Moving in and paperwork was a very smooth process, all thanks to the management team and especially because of Emilio, he’s been a great help.

The people who have been living here for more than a year will only understand my review. The management has completely change the look of the buildings. The gym and pool are always ready to use. I transferred to a new apartment within the complex and have seen nothing but improvements. New staff is very helpful and communication is good.

*HONEST REVIEW*When I moved into these apartments in 2021 they were previously called Auden Houston then renamed to Centre at Columbia Court. During my first year under Auden there were a lot of issues such as trash overflow, dogs being off the leash, car break ins, and slow maintenance, and a few roaches.All these issues got somewhat resolved when they got taken over by the new current company. They had clear communication although they could use a little spell check but overall very helpful and knowledgeable. There was instances where I was being charged unnecessary late fees and they worked to resolve them as quickly as possible. Since they’ve taken over the property there has been upgrades such as a dog park, gates for trash, power wash, painting of the building and stairwells, plants, new foundation, replaced the roof, clear parking directions, and upgraded gate access.Maintenance is a whole lot faster I put in a request for an air filter and they came in less than a hour. Every apartment isn’t perfect as I had a fruit fly infestation during the end of my lease which I think came from a fridge that got replaced and left outside my door for a couple of weeks and less than 5 roaches throughout my whole lease from 2021-2023. I can tell they spent time and money upgrading the community for the outside but I feel as though the inside has potential as well and is a little outdated with the white appliances. I believe this company will do the best in their ability to make it a beautiful community. I personally recommend under this current management.

At the beginning something’s wasn’t nice on the apartment, but the manager was very nice and get everything fixed!

I’ve been living here a little over a month and have been very happy here. Maintenance is always on the grounds making improvements. the management office is very communicative with residents. Place kept is clean and the gates always work which is good for security and safety.

I just moved into this apartment complex beginning of this month and I must say i am very impressed by their service. All of the office staffs are so friendly and nice. The work order that i made was completed on time and they even called me later to confirm if was satisfied with their service. I would highly recommend them.

I just moved in and everything has been amazing and stressfree. The entire process from start to finish went very smoothly. The office staff did a great job with sending me everything online. I was able to go in and grab the keys. My apartment was much nicer than the one I saw before moving in.The new management seems to be taking time to make this a really nice community which I really appreciate. I highly recommend and am satisfied so far.

I have met with Emilio Jreissati today for a walk through of an apartment. I must say I really feel much better moving to Houston. He showed me and my son an apartment and he was very informative, honest and professional. I feel like I will really like it here at Centre at Columbia apartments🙂

I moved in from out of Houston to study. My apartment was clean and I was welcomed by a move in gift in my apartment that made me feel very special.The manager explained me everything about the policies, parking tag, gate access and called back to check on me. I highly recommend Centre at Columbia Court. This place is very peaceful.

Literally the worst apartment complex, it’s infested with german roaches, and pest control at the apartment was no help. during the leasing period, they switched management and rent went up by $130 :/ incredibly dirty apartment, when we moved in there was paint all over the floor, appliances were broken, etc. genuinely the worst place in houston to live, very unsafe and even with “security” cars were broken into, stolen, someone was shot as they were leaving the apartment once. i can not stress it enough, do NOT live here. if i could give it 0 stars i would, people in management and people at the leasing office are unbearable and have the worst attitudes. old management was better and more helpful. this place is beyond disappointing.

New tenant…first weekend. I’m allergic to roaches. Every week I come home and have to kill roaches.This is not a good start. No remedy then I’ll get a lawyer involved and find a better place elsewhere.This is disgusting this unit shouldn’t have been leased.

I have lived in many apartments in my life but this is by far the worst. Maintenance requests have taken weeks to months at times to complete. One two separate occasions they have towed myself and my roommate. Do not live here

Using an anon name but trust me this is a real review. You can see the issues as soon as you walk in the office. never seen a maintenance man dressed as if he has a desk job yelling at the leasing agent and manager during a tour. and a manager that has no compassion for the students that live here. this is no longer student housing it is not associated with tsu please please avoid. You know there is a roach infestation when they are in the diswawhers and walls. bad smells throughout the property. and they can not keep staff.

BEWARE!!!This apartment complex has been noting but absolute chaos since my daughter has been here the apartment is completely disgusting from the inside to the outside. From start to finish. The gate keypad and the gate itself is always broken every other month. The ground is always littered with trash.The whole apartment complex need to be power washed even the stairs are disgusting. The trash bins are always overfilled every time I visit. The apartment need to be spayed with pesticides there are roaches and spiderwebs on the stair wells and around the complex. The apartment is not move in ready. The vents are molded and their tube has hard water stains. Maintenance takes for ever to come, and when maintenance isn’t equips to handle a situation they send out vendors who come out to paint over the problem. Please do not send your kids to live here it’s filthy and management have not regards for their residents. My daughter calls me every day and complains about how the management and staff are unorganized.

This is the worst place I ever lived in, how when I walk into a “new apartment” things are already dirty and broken. Water damaged walls and dirty vents, It’s roach infested and disgusting. The front office staff are some of the rudest people I ever met and this building in a whole is just ran unprofessionally. Sadly I’m stuck in a lease but don’t waste your time living here you can find better and cheaper. The way they look on the outside shows they haven’t been cleaned for years and the inside is no different. It’s sad how they are taking advantage of us students by the way they have us living! This is a rip off and I will not be renewing my lease with these people. I put in a maintenance request weeks ago but with them only having one person working maintenance for an entire apartment complex who knows when he will come. They quick to charge you for rent but take weeks to come fix these dirty apartments! Rent should be half of what they charging.

Thank you Emilio!! Im pleased with the smooth move-in process, especially with moving from a different state. With everything digitized, I was able to just show up and retrieve my keys within 5 minutes.

Horrible apartments , they been through 5 management teams since I moved in, no one ever helps it’s literally bugs everywhere!!!!! When you ask for help they tell you to use your own funds to fix the apartments instead of contacting maintenance . I’ve called the health department on them let’s hope they can get better in the future . This is sad pleaseeee don’t move here !

This complex has been amazing from the start! Ive seen past reviews and honestly I cannot relate in a negative way. Everyone I have met on staff has been super friendly, maintenance responds to service requests in a timely manner and lve never had an issue with a neighbor.

I won’t be TOO honest.. but great for a first time renter. Prices aren’t too bad, just a bit overpriced in my opinion. The renovations REALLY made the property a nicer place to live, but still slightly outdated. Very convenient location for an off campus apartment, especially for those commuting without transportation. Hopefully the professionalism is better, but the office staff has always been super friendly and willing to go above and beyond if necessary. I would highly encourage everyone to read all documents before signing and to get pertinent information IN WRITING, especially since management tends to change often. Live safe. 🙂

The Centre at Columbia Court does not prioritize safety by any means. My gf car was broken in twice. The guest parking area has no light. My car was also broken in to and valuables were stollen.

Really bad experience with this property, not only was accused of moving in illegally by the property management team(even after being very vocal and communicative with the leasing agent I dealt with), not only were service request ignored and canceled, then followed up on at random times without calling or any notice, AND not only did they force my roommates to sell a car for no legitimate reason other than “it was in the way”. They have categorically and unequivocally been the least helpful in any situation I’ve asked for help with. For the final 6 months of my rental period, there was a regularly dripping leak in my apartment, knowing I wouldn’t get a response from whatever maintenance staff supposedly works there I contacted the leasing office directly to inform them, they did nothing, regularly sending people out at random times to check it only to say they wouldn’t do anything about it, for this reason I was charged a cleaning fee and my security deposit was withheld. Do not rent from this company if you expect to have any sort of help from the ‘property managers’ oh! I almost forgot, they gave me and my roommates an apartment filled with appliances that were either broken or covered in rust and generally disgusting. Stay away people, find somewhere else that actually cares about its tenants.

If you are looking to move in with a roach infested apartment, this is your place. If you want to move into a dirty apartment that the on-site team does not inspect and you have to clean your apartment before you move in, this is your place. If you want to deal with rude incompetent team members, this is your place. If you you want to move into an apartment that has appliances that don’t work, broken window treatment, and outdated appliances, move here. This community is poorly managed and has very rude team members. The staff truly need to be trained on how to talk to residents, prospective residents, and how to manage a property. Truly a disappointment and will not be renewing. Roaches are everywhere, such a horrible experience!

The apartments overall are amazing! Maintenance stays on top of things, always enough parking you won’t have to stress on finding a spot. I’ve been living here for almost 3 years and i have nothing bad to say about the apartments. The staff is amazing and is always reliable. Troy is very active with the residents while being professional. He’s honestly there 24/7 if you need something!

I am disappointed in the upkeep and cleanliness of this property. The trash dumpster is constantly over flowing. Trash is all over the apartment complex.

I moved since my review last year. I had lived at the Savoy for four years and moved out only because my daughter and I decided to get a house together. The staff is professional, yet know the residents personally and offer personal attention. They answered all my questions with patience and kindness. This care for residents include the kindness of the chief of maintenance, Arturo who made sure the repairs were done to my satisfaction. When I had packages and could not carry them to my door, one of the staff would carry them for me. Keeping the grounds clean was a challenge, which some residents contributed to by not putting their trash in the receptacle. Also, some of the neighbors were noisy. Noise and clean grounds could be improved--otherwise, my apartment was a good size, well maintained, and the staff was excellent.

If you love ROACHES, RUDE staff , DIRTY and BROKE down appliances and a TRASH filled community, I have found your dream home!!! I was moved into a dirty unit and was told to put in a maintenance request to fix all the broke things when I jus paid my lease. They fool you with the model apartment and the rest of the units are awful. I’ve been here for a month and let’s just say I’m still waiting for maintenance to come. My toilet has been running since day one and they won’t come to fix it. The pool is filled with cans and trash…along with the sidewalks. Our GATES keep braking and multiple times we were all trapped inside for HOURS!! I had to call the fire department because staff didn’t care. Cars are broken into on the daily. I could fill up a book with how horrible it is here. I’m counting down the SECONDS until my lease is up!!! Don’t ever live here!!! Run!!!!!

Very dirty apartments. Floors are sticky and filthy and no amount of cleaning supplies will clean them, must wear shoes at all times while inside. gnat infestation problem my daughter had hundreds if not thousands of gnats living in her kitchen. Then Auden had the audacity to charge a $100 cleaning fee upon move out even though the apartments very obviously havent been properly cleaned in years. The exterior of the apartments are filthy as well and nothing like the pictures on google. look elsewhere for housing accommodations.

Since I have lived here I have no complaints. Until this year. I have always been a great resident I pay my rent on time and I don’t complain but lately they’ve started charging me for my emotional support dog that I’ve had since 2012 they claim that my credentials for my dog are false but did not try to call or inform me that they felt this way about the documents or even try to give me more time to get the proper ones even though everywhere else that I have showed this paperwork they have excepted it from the airport to restaurants and etc then they notified me the day before that I was going to have a roommate after staying in my apartment by myself for a year. I understand that I live somewhere that I could possible get a room mate but when I had a similar situation trying to move rooms they called the tenants and asked if they were comfortable with somebody moving in they did not do the same courtesy for me

I lived there for 2 and a half years. My experience was positive but many things changed in this complex during my last few months there. Many upgrades, but also they got rid of the garbage disposal in the kitchen, which is not ideal.The folks at the leasing office were wonderful, especially Trey. They are very helpful and accommodating.I would strongly recommend this place for someone who is a student or working nearby. The price is good for the location and these are nice apartments. The complex is mostly inhabited by students so it is not very quiet

I would first like to start this review by saying, these are not just issue within my apartment, these are also issues that have occurred with other tenants as well.First lets start with just the apartment complex alone... Youre paying way too much for whats claimed to be included, but not being given.Secondly, I have been having BLACK MOLD grow out of my restroom air vent, right where theres been a leak. Yes, Ive put in request, yes, ONE has been handled, and all that was done was Wiped with soap and water, that is not how you treat or get rid of back mold. Now it is starting to presume in my kitchen above the cabinets, and YES I have been having minor medical complications due to it.I understand the complex routine there is to clear out black mold, but why does you guys cheapness, chump your residence health?Now lets talk about the CURRENT ELECTRICAL problem that has been occurring since the day I moved in a year ago WHICH IS DOCUMENTED ON THE ENTRANCE MOVE IN FORM. I have at least 7 office request, and phone calls placed to get it fixed. Yes, +$900 for an apartment that barely operates properly. Ive had to call in my own people to get my Kitchen light examined and fixed, as well a my bedroom light, that still has yet to work.Now with all this being said, No Shawn has not come up with a working solution, nor has any email with my expressed frustration been respond to. I dont like going off as that tenant, but literally when youre paying that much and getting little to no solution to your problem, thats really due to the apartment staff, anger builds up.I wouldnt dare refer these apartments, cheers to the minor upgrades that were made for the incoming residents.

Very good and communicative staff. As I walked in the leasing office I was greeted by one of the leasing consultant. Very friendly and courteous. Beautiful apartments inside and good curb appeal. Ill definitely recommend this place.

The staff is really friendly and easy to talk to. They have finally started towing car which is a great thing. They have a lot of things to do for the residents every month. I have been here a year and nothing of mine has been broken into. They are doing alot of upgrades on the property grounds which is a good thing. The people make the apartments bad.

I have been living here for about a month and so far my overall feelings on this place are so-so. If you’re a student or just someone who is on a budget these apartments might be an alright choice for you. The interior of the apartments are nice and the pool is a nice area to sit out and relax. When I moved in my washer, dryer, fridge and dish washer weren’t working, and so far the only thing that has been fixed is the washer. Neighbors can be VERY loud at times but that’s hard to avoid in most apartments. My main concern though is safety. There’s supposed to be a curtesy officer but I haven’t seen one once since moving in. The exit gate doesn’t work most of the time, leaving it wide open. Even when it is “fixed” it still doesn’t close enough to keep any random person from walking right in, which I see every single day. You also hear pretty consistently about people’s cars being broken into, which isn’t super settling either. All in all, if you need something affordable this might be an ok choice for you but I would definitely do your research first.

Talk about professionalism 👏 this complex knows how to treat its residents and applicants. Super smooth sailing, clear communication, and a beautiful property! Whats not to love?! Dont walk, run to Centre and scoop up one of these amazing units ran by a professionalism driven team! Thanks again!

Please don’t believe these people I lived here a year ago and still have friends who live here. They are not clean and safe to live and they constantly break into people cars and the front office will not do anything about it. And what apartment you know get bought out three times there name changed from Savoy to Auden Houston now Centre at Columbia Court regardless of who owns it , it’ll still be the same no matter what . YOU HAVE BEEN WARN DO NOT LET THEM TRICK YOU INTO LIVING HERE it will cost you headaches and health issues I promise . They have a mold issue in the air vents and walls.

Staff is great apartment needs deep clean too many spiders outside the apartment right by the door. I never had roach problems maybe because of the spiders . Spiders were only a nuisance when they got in the house . Maintanece is awesome sauce always come through. Tad bit expensive I look forward to the holidays they really know how to take care of their residents

I visit this property over the weekend to check their 1 bedroom. Price is exactly on my budget and staff eas very nice. Everything inside was new, Im looking forward to move.

My overall experience has not be too bad, but lately Ive been dealing with a roach and flee infestation which make me feel disgusting. I have bite marks all over my body from something biting me and recently found mice dropping in my apartment. I told the leasing agent on a Monday morning but he could only offer me this advice...You need to submit a maintenance request and we will send someone out on Thursday. I submitted my request that same Monday morning and had to wait until Thursday before anything was done. I like to add that Ive only been living here for 3 weeks. There was no sense of urgency. In addition, they said they would clean up the apartment before I moved in but that was not true. My apartment was filthy and who ever painted my wall didnt do a good job. I still had stains from the previous renters. Last, they painted the bathroom sink, tub, walls and kitchen counter tops with the same paint thats on my walls. Do you think I should be concerned?

UPDATE: More security issues. Neighbor got a rock thrown through their window. Not fun living next to third ward. Be warned.I moved in August 2016. Apparently they came under new ownership and management over the summer, during which they began remodeling and getting the website up and running. As a result, the transition period was a bit rough, and it took a while to get things done, but the staff have been very friendly the whole way through and got everyone through it. Now that issues have been sorted and the website is fully operational, everything is peachy. Many of the poor reviews here came before this time.The maintenance staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. If you have an issue that youre confused about after a work order is completed, you can always just go up to the office and ask.One inevitable concern that youll find with any apartment in the area, and indeed most apartments, is cars being broken into. In September I got a notice about an incident of that sort. Im not aware of anything else like that happening this semester, but treat it like public parking. Just dont leave anything in your car and they wont have anything to steal. It is a gated complex, but that doesnt really prevent someone that wants to get in from getting in. They can easily drive around the block and wait for someone else to enter the code.Another concern I hear is about neighbors. These are student apartments, so you may get the odd party, neighbors screwing, or weed odor coming through the vents. For me, this has generally been a non- issue. You can always report noise complaints etc., but youre going to find this in every student apartment, and I hear it can be even worse in all the Oaks apartments by the UH stadium.

*Update at the bottom*The unit I live in has a moldy leaky ceiling that I’ve been contacting management about for over a month (since 9/27). No one has come out to fix it, and every time I call them and plead for something to be done, they give a stupid excuse on why they haven’t come to fix it and say “someone will come out sometime next week”. The mold is spreading quickly and is starting to make the whole place smell. Avoid unless you love gross leaky moldy ceilings.*Update, changed from 1 to 3 stars*I went down to the office in person today and showed a picture of the ceiling. They had someone up here to handle it within a few hours and the damaged part of the ceiling has been cut away and the mold is cleared/treated. Although the old management was subpar, there may be hope for this place under new management.

The staff is really friendly and nice except the assistant manager shes very rude. The officer manager is great. The apartments are nice and maintenance usually responds very fast. The occasional bug but its an apartment so hey. My problems were more with the residents and not the apartment itself.

The property manager and staff are very helpful and really care about the well-being and satisfaction of the residents. The apartments have recently been upgraded and renovated, making it a more attractive place to live. Thanks to the current staff members, the residents have a lot more utilites included in their rent and that saves us money. Thanks Jas and thanks Trey for being such great workers.

This place is a flipping boo boo show. They apartments are filled with mold and mildew. My daughter was hospitalized due to this. There were work orders put in. No one ever came to repair. They wait for 2 whole months to bill you for water and electricity. Then when it’s time to move out it’s placed on a final bill. Ex: move out July 31 and received a bill from March-June, yet it’s on your portal it’s included in rent. Gladys is no help and never wants to answer voice mails let alone emails. So many break ins and people held at gun point. When trying to get in contact with corporate they give you a number within the office. I can go on and on about this raggedy complex but I’ll be here for years writing. I would not let my dog stay here that’s how bad it is. Someone need to come shut this mold and mildew factory all way down. Board of health need to be notified.

Move here if you would like your packages and door dashed food to constantly be stolen right off your doorstep. The only thing worse than the low life residents that steal from their neighbors are the leasing office who don’t do anything about it.Also they don’t have a text system for updates so if you don’t regularly check your emails you’ll be in the dark about any changes in the community

The apartment is recently renovated, and the management team is super helpful and responsible. All the maintenance requests are done quickly (usually within an hour of putting in a request). And you can join a bunch of events hosted by the management team for FREE!!! Really love living here and would recommend it to anyone!

Emilio made moving in smooth and he was very welcoming. He communicated with me every step of the way. 10/10 would recommend.

I have been living here for 4 years. The location is great and the apartments are priced nicely considering the area. There have been unit updates made that make living here more comfortable. Trey at the Leasing office is very professional, every issue I have had hes responded with the upmost care!

Very awful place to live. Here comes a list:- Big one: theyre going to try and get you to pay for a full months rent for the first month even though you cant move in till the 3rd week. If you press them hard you can get past this though.- Be prepared for them to steal your entire security deposit for erroneous charges and then charge you more on top of that for even more made up charges.- Management does not pay any attention to tenants, and to be fair, the majority of the tenants here suck.- Regular parking lot parties where people park cars and blast music.- Property is very dirty, partially because tenants throw trash wherever they please and also because management does not clean well. (Pictures)- Appliances in apartments date to the 1980s and 90s, and do not work well. Recently the lock on my door broke and they responded actually very quickly, but their fix was to cut a larger hole in the frame so the lock could engage. The entire door wobbles now. Also it took them 4 months to fix my leaking sink.- Large packs of stray cats that management doesnt do anything about.- Rent changes on a monthly basis because theyre not smart enough to work around that.- Security is all but non-existent. People wait for someone to come in and come in through the gates with them. Took them 3 months to fix the walking gate - anyone could come in as they please. Also main gate breaks down ~1 a month and remains permanently open/closed.- Pretty sure management receives compensation for allowing solicitors in. I regularly receive flyers in my door/under my wiper blades. (Yes, this is supposed to be a gated compound)- Office hours of leasing office change on a weekly basis without notice.- Also, be sure to invite all of your friends because management refuses to tow any car that doesnt belong - even if its parked in the middle of the parking lot! What a great deal for all non-tenants!- Be prepared for email spam from savoy especially if you do not renew - they get very unhappy- And the list goes on and on. There are much better places to live that are cheaper and in a nicer part of town. Only live here if its your absolute last resort. This complex is basically an off campus TSU dorm, so if youre not about that life DO NOT LIVE HERE.

Do not, I say again do not waste your money living here. There’s no security so your car will be stolen and broken into. You will never be warned when someone has been shot. Supposedly there’s security but you’ll never see anyone walking or driving around. There are fake cameras so don’t expect any footage. Management is no help at all so don’t waste your breath complaining. They do not care!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot speak to what this building will be like after the renovations are complete, but I was there as the Savoy changed hands and became the Auden. And it was a mess.The rent my roommate and I paid was mishandled, they stopped notifying us when we received packages, and requests for maintenance took longer and longer to fulfill. Were moving out as we were asked to terminate our lease early so they could make renovations, but I wouldnt have stayed anyway, since they were raising the price of rent to be out of my budget— funny how they boast of being student housing, yet were continuously pricing out students. The only thing it has going for it is its proximity to the University of Houston.Then theres the apartment itself, the reason Im not giving a lower score— theyre getting rid of the floor plan I lived in, but I liked it for the most part. My roommate and I each had our own room and the common areas were good. The washer/dryer setup was an older model, but it got the job done. The biggest issue was the bathroom, since around March, we got a leak in the shower that it took them a while to fix and after it was fixed the water pressure results were mixed at best.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!! I have lived here for a couple of years and prior to that the previous management team before Gladis was always on time with fixing issues , I was never locked out side of my home due to old lock systems (even was given notice of getting a new key to prevent it by old management team) , maintenance team was ALWAYS small but fixed things in timely manner (NEVER NO month wait , let alone 2 like this new team 😪).HOWEVER, since Gladis has got here with her new team , it has been nothing but being double charged for rent that was ALREADY paid, trash over filled, 1-2 month wait time for things to get fixed , immature and incompetent staff members, a manager that’s never here on weekends and claim to be too busy during the Week. THIS COMPLEX has FALLEN and I am warning ⚠️ you , if you are looking to move here DON’T .I have reached out several times through email, physical appearance, and even phone calls prior to coming to this point , but they do nothing but lie and lie even more.They will also move someone in without even a 24 hour notice, and no sort of general info (I.e. name and if they are student (since this is suppose to be student housing but they have non students living here)) to the current residents living there.They have a disregard for their current residents and then also don’t even live here to see how horrible it’s residents are treated. The residents are treated as nothing more than a paycheck and we need a new management team that actually prioritize their old residents as much as they do trying to get new residents in.ALSO THE APPLIANCES ARE OLD AND OUTDATED AS STATED IN OTHERS REVIEWS AS WELL.Do yourself and mental health a favor and look elsewhere or don’t , you will see soon enough if you decide to move here.Sincerely, an frustrated overlooked and ignored current resident

I genuinely hate living here and can’t wait for my lease to be over. The staff members are incompetent and rude. The apartment itself is disgusting and maintenance takes forever to fix a problem (just to paint over it). I wouldn’t even want my enemy to live here.

This place is absolute garbage. The complex changed ownership in late December and subsequently lost a large portion of the rent payments for January. Their answer for this situation was to send out eviction notices to the student resident because there were TOO MANY rents lost to be able to easily email the tenants to inform them of the situation. Those are the words of the office staff. If you value stability and good situation for your Student living go somewhere else.

Auden Houston is seriously one of the best apartments to live in! The area is very peaceful and clean. The facilities are great and the staff is helpful whenever you need them. Highly recommend to any student who is currently enrolled or will be enrolled into school !!

I wish I had found this place when I first moved to Houston! From my last apartments (which were HORRIBLE), this is a MAJOR upgrade/improvement. Although my patio door has yet to be fixed (safety issue), I truly love it here so far. Management is extremely helpful, nice, and caring.

I changed my mind after signing lease after reading reviews about domestic violence and break ins. I never moved into this apartment but they charged me for the whole year. For 10,000 on my credit i mines well had lived there & got robbed because I did anyway ! Price is way to high. I pay $800 to live alone. They want you to pay almost 1,000 to have roomates! Very loud & trashy

Worst mistake I have ever made in my life. First they are horrible with answering maintenance request! When i first moved in my door wouldnt close and it took them over a week to come and fix it, because aparently the safety of their residents does not matter to them. Secondly they knowingly send important emails to your spam and penalize you for not knowing certain information, when they could easily leave a note. Parking is horrible and the manager is horrible. They are definitely overpriced and not worth the high rent! Do yourself a favor a find somewhere else to stay!

Please do not stay here unless you ABSOLUTELY have no choice. I didnt want to out them but now I am at my breaking point. These people will tell you what you want to hear to get you to stay here but DO NOT, If you can. I have been here 2 years and I have only stayed here because its the cheapest place so close to TSU. It is not worth it. My car was broken into today and the door was left wide open, sure I heard other peoples car being broken into and didnt think it would happen to me. These apartments have changed companies 4 times since I have been here. 2 years later and my tub still isnt fixed nor my stove nor my dishwasher. I waited two months to get a new microwave here and had to use my oven for everything. Then they jacked up prices and told me If I didnt renew they would give my apartment away and they did! By the grace of god I will not stay here any longer. I experienced criminal activity on the day I moved in. My mom and I had just finished moving in and went to get groceries for my new apartment and while we were putting the gate code in a guy ran up saying he had been robbed. We were worried he was lying but my mom talked to neighbors in the morning and found out the guy was held at gunpoint after he pulled in the parking lot and forced to open up his apartment so they could take all his electronic devices. I ignored that first night and thought I would keep to myself but it is not worth my safety nor my childs safety. Oh and If you live on the first floor you will never have peace I have called police on my neighbors over 30 times and they continue to be loud and ghetto , while school is in and during the summer. The property is really nice for the price and close distance to campus. The leasing office is super friendly and always welcoming. I can always count on Moné, Mireyah, and Maddison to answer all of my questions. Compared to other properties I’ve visited around the area, this is the best you’ll get for your money.

So, I have to change my initial review of Savoy Apartments.First, the apartment was recommended to me by an apartment coordinator for TSU (whomever that person in, I need to know where they live personally). I trusted their opinion because they worked for the school I will be attending. When I got here in August of last year, I was a bit disappointed in almost everything. My apartment wasnt ready when they told me it would be and I had to find someone to spend a few days with until my place was ready. I told them while applying for the place that I want a room on the second or third floor, and was given a second floor apartment but at last minute was changed to a first floor apartment. It was too late for me to do anything because I signed the papers already. I was thankful for Elana and Ashley for doing their best to still do their best to get my room ready.Within in months of living here, I was dealing with spiders, bugs, and roaches although my place is ALWAYS spotless, I dont even keep my trash in the apartment. Pests control stopped once and the bugs went away for a little bit but came right back. Since I moved in, my kitchen light refuse to turn on unless I turn it off and on like ten times. I put in maintenance request three times about it and each time they tell me its fixed. I gave up and have been dealing with the light not working for over a year.Then my apartment was broken into. They stole EVERY SINGLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE I had (speakers, laptop, iPod, iPad), my wallet, bags, clothes, and even my laundry basket was stolen. The Police DIDNT do a thing, they told me my stuff are long gone. The property manager told me oh the security officer was off the night of the break in. He took the police report and told me they will investigate and get back to me.. 9 months later, I didnt hear from him.My 2016 lease was ending July this year, I didnt want to renew because (1) I didnt feel safe, since the break in, Ive been paranoid. I literally triple check my locks whenever Im in the apartment or when Im leaving the apartment. I double check my car alarm too. (2) I didnt know if I will still be in school here and (3) It possible that I will move out of Texas and school in November. But Jas convinced me that if any of that happen, they will find someone to take over my lease or that I could find someone to take my lease and they will take care of it. I told Jas that I WILL ONLY renew my contract if they will move me to a second or third floor apartment for my new lease. She told me that I will have to move out and move back in and I said okay. I renewed my lease and Jas have yet to change my apartment and when I mentioned it to her three times, two times, she told me she didnt have any second floor unit available in my floor plan, the third time, she told me she will email me the next day with the options they have for me... That was 2-3 months ago and I just found out that the room top of me is the same floor plan I have and it was available and was just rented to some college girls that I happen to know.While all of this is going on, my apartment has been full of spiders, bugs, ants and other bugs I have never seen. In August, when I was going out of town, I put in a pests control request online. While I was out of town, I received a maintenance email telling me it was completed. When I returned from my trip, the bugs were still there so I put in more pests control requests. Again, I was emailed that it was completed. BUT THE PROBLEM IS WHEN I RETURNED FROM MY TRIP, I GOT SICK AND DIDNT LEAVE MY APARTMENT TO EVEN PICK UP MY MAIL FOR 7 STRAIGHT DAYS AND NO ONE CAME TO MY APARTMENT TO FIX OR SPRAY ANYTHING. SO PRETTY MUCH THEY DISREGARDED MY REQUESTS AND SENT ME A COMPLETION EMAIL.Pretty much at this point Im fed up with Savoy!! Ive always told people who said bad thing about Savoy that theyre just having unlucky things happen to them but now Im convinced they are right and Im wrong about the place.

This Apartment complex has helped me so much when it comes to moving in. the move in process was so easy and the managers are so sweet and im coming from college so they helped me alot!! The little things they did also made me feel appreciated like the little bask they left me.

Maria and the entire staff are the absolute best! They are always professional and do everything with the upmost respect. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMMUNITY AS YOUR NEW HOME!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have had it with this place.First of all, I had a bug infestation WHEN I MOVED IN. I told them 3-4 times. They did nothing. I spent about $300 on getting that resolved myself.Second of all, my smoke detectors would go off for no apparent reason. I dont mean beeping because of low batteries, I mean literally going off for hours at a time. I finally removed them all together after them simply replacing the batteries (if they came at all) for 6 months. I removed them in early September, they were replaced in January. By the way, there was a safety inspection between them being removed and January and they were still not replaced.Third, and certianly not last, my electrical sockets slowly but surely stopped working. It got to the point that I only had one working socket in my kitchen (there are about 8 in the kitchen). I also called and left messages on the resident portal for months. They were finally fixed in January.Fourth (nope, still not last), I moved into this unit in November of 2017. By the time June rolled around I had stuff molding in my apartment. I have two cats, literally both of their carriers were covered in mold. It was extremely humid in my apartment. I didnt know what was going on. Someone looked at my air filter and it had expired in January. According to them when I first moved in, theyre supposed to change those when they do inspections.Fifth (I know, right?), I had been having issues with my tiolet. I had called a couple of times to get it fixed, and nothing happened. In January, I came home on a Saturday night to my bathroom and bathtub covered in raw sewage. My whole apartment smelled. I called the emergancy maintence line on Sunday morning, and never heard back from them. On Monday I did my research on property codes and sent them a notice of maintenance request through overnighted certified mail. In the notice I listed the sewage, my electrical sockets, my smoke detectors. Tuesday I got a phone call saying they would fix it. I came home on Tuesday night with a giant hole in my bathroom wall and plywood covering (which this was a month ago and its still there), and sewage still covering the floor and bathtub. My electrical sockets still didnt work, and my smoke detectors had not been replaced. At this point I was in contact with an attorney. The next morning (Wednesday) I received a call asking if it was up to my standard. I may have actually laughed. I explained that no, it is definitely not up to my standards considering I still have sewage covering my bathroom, my apartment still reeks, there are no smoke detectors, and I still have only one working socket in my kitchen. The next day I came home and everything was done (leaving a mess of chalk in my bathroom and some screws on my counter, as well as the plywood covering a hole).Lastly (FINALLY), they have closed one of the visitors lots. It looks like they may be renovating some of the apartments or something and have now turned the visitors lot closest to my unit into storage for equipment. Last night I had a friend spend the night and I showed him where the other visitors lot was. There was only one open spot, but both cars on each side were a little over the line and so he couldnt fit his car into the spot. We decided that would be best to park where residents dont park so we arent in the way and so we parked next to the closed visitors lot (theres a little 3 spot area right next to it thats too far some any units for residents to want to park there, and Ive only seen people park there when theres not room in the visitors lot thats now closed). This morning, his car was gone. He discovered this at 8:30AM. The office opens at 10AM. I have called about a dozen times now (Im not exagerating), and they still have not turned on their phone system. Also, the # they provided to the residents is no longer a working number.By the way, I have had my car broken into 4 times since Ive moved in.

This is my 2nd year living here and has been the best decision that I have made when it comes to student living. The management and maintenance team stays on top of everything. For it to be student living, its really quite around here and other residents are very friendly. Very close to TSU and UofH. I advise students to move here.. not as up to date as the other student living housing around here however, the best place to stay and be stress free with housing!

I wouldn’t recommend living here. From the rent prices, maintenance, pest and roach infestation, to the impatient leasing staff. Just a bad investment overall.

The appliances and outside surroundings are little dirty and not well kept. So we had to clean appliances before we unpacked. An inconvenience to our time.Then the air conditioning was not working but the maintenance man came quickly to fix it and he was very courteous and professional.

The people I’m the office are so nice and helpful. They do everything so fast! The apartment is beautiful and spacious. It is very quiet and peaceful. The pool is always clean and the office is decorated so cute!

Moved here in January and things have been nice here so far. The staff is very helpful. Theres an employee in the office, Troy, who always makes sure my apartments needs are met.

Ever since the new management has taken over, we have been seeing a lot of good changes in the community. The pool, clean parking lots and maintenance come fix the things much sooner than before.

The office staff and management are very professional and go above and beyond to help. I moved in right away, and I absolutely love my apartment!

The Staff put together fun and engaging events. One of the events was called Grocery Bingo . The game was pretty lit🔥. I was able to win a Tour of Italy basket! Overall the staff is very helpful and nice to all residents and never fail to put a smile on my face every time i visit the office 😌. Much love and keep doing what you guys do Savoy 💕.

There is always trash everywhere on the outside EVERYWHERE!!!!! The maintenance is very old and outdated the residence whom live there are very hood and dirty !!!!!I’ve been here for 6 months already I moved to Houston to attend TSU soo I thought these apartments would be ok to live in since its right up the street from my school but it has been HELL living here I Dnt do reviews usually but when I do it’s because it’s actually that bad ..... the surrounding area of the apartment is TRASH if you are a good decent person I definitely would NOT recommend the savoy Appartments!!!!!!!!!

NEVER IN YOUR LIFE STAY HERE. I stayed here my first semester at college. The management team is complete garbage, but that is not even the reason you shouldnt live here. I get an email ATLEAST once a week saying apartment and vehicle break in or attempted assault in parking lot then after over 6 months they emailed everyone saying that they hired 24 hour security, however the security was never present past 5PM. They literally hired security for 8-5. This make no sense because all the criminal activity happens late at night. Also there has many numerous nights were i hear several gun shots, but they can still not hire security. This is a place you can buy any drug at any time of day, you will see numerous drug dealers living here and peoples cars coming through the gate every 2 minutes and getting their drugs and leaving. This place is the absolutely garbage, and should be out of businessPlease no one ever live here.

Check other places before you come to this Savoy apartment housing. I got robbed recently and my gadget which cost $1000 was stolen. Savoy never investigated or compensated me. I still have to pay a high rent each month and pretend that I am happy. True story of black man.

I visited this community and was so impressed by their customer service. That speaks volumes to me. The grounds are well kept and the team is amazing. Most definitely recommended.

The maintenance people are horrible and Ac breaks down every week. Also when comes to Internet it never works shuts off every week because they never pay the bill on time. I wouldnt advise anyone to live here horrible place. And the staff have no clue what there saying halve the time just giving you the run around.

This is by far one of the worst student Apartments, if it wasn’t for one of the property managers Elana, I would have lost all sanity. Property owner is also not the best. Car theft, home invasions, just an all around terrible complex.

Renovations are taking place and the property is being upgraded. Units have new cabinets, countertops, floors, and bathroom vanities. They are also under new management and staff is super friendly and nice. Highly recommend!

Went to see the apartment. After reading the reviews, i wasn’t sure but the apartment complex, and people there are nothing like what is on the review. It was a student housing and probably why people are just upset. Got approved and moving in next month👍🏻👍🏻

I moved here during the pandemic and they made it very smooth and easy. Prices are very affordable and they communicate very well! Maintenance come right away and I have no problems with anything here.

I am new to Houston and moving to the Auden was the best decision I’ve made. My favorite part about the move in was being able to decorate and make the place my home and being in a new, positive community.
