I’ve lived in this complex for four years, and it’s heartbreaking to see how much it has gone downhill. When I first moved in, it was a decent place to live, but now it feels like management has completely given up.Security is a major issue—my car has been stolen twice in one year (2024) break-ins and tire being stolen happen regularly. Despite reporting these incidents, nothing has been done to improve safety. It’s clear residents’ concerns aren’t a priority.The property itself is in terrible condition. Dog poop is everywhere, and no one bothers to clean it up. The smell of weed is overwhelming, even though this is supposed to be a smoke-free community. I specifically chose a smoke-free apartment expecting to be away from smokers, but that clearly doesn’t matter here.During the summer, the pool is always closed for maintenance because people who don’t even live here break in and leave it unusable. Instead of addressing the issue by adding better security, management just shuts it down for the rest of us.To make matters worse, while management ignores all these major problems, they’re quick to charge residents for minor things like leaving trash out or having something on the balcony. It’s beyond frustrating.This place used to be so much better, but now it’s not worth the stress. ‼️‼️‼️If you’re thinking about moving here, ‼️‼️‼️I strongly recommend looking elsewhere save yourself, and your money‼️‼️‼️
I moved over here in Aug extremely excited about these apartments but its has been nothing less than since moving in! I moved in with an issue with what looked to be ants but still unclear what these bugs are, Ive had my unit sprayed now 3 times since aug and still an ongoing issue! We pay for a locker service in our rent only for one of my packages to be stolen. Today 10/21 I arrived home to a notice advising of a $25 fine for a folding chair on my patio in which the patio is CLEAR!!! Definitely didn’t expect this to be a stressful living situation but unfortunately it is!!! The apartment in general is nice but all the extra takes away from what you like about the place.
Gorgeous home, I just moved in maybe a week ago, and I’m so inlove with this place. It’s very kept up and they do make sure to keep poopy bags for your furry friends. The layouts are pretty dope, compared to where I was living I’m living luxurious now. They do have a coffee bar inside the office if you ever want to grab a cup for work, they have 2 gyms and their pool is beautiful. I moved in maybe a week after doing the application and could’ve moved in sooner honestly but it was a super fast process. You do get internet on rent so no need to worry about that. All in all my partner and I are very happy being here and I’m sure you would be too😊!
Absolutely horrible apartment complex, my car got broken into twice,- cars are constantly being broken into. No security cameras. We have a patrol that doesnt patrol.The rent goes up each month as well.I could go on and on, but its not worth it.Dont move here. ‼‼Youll waste so much money with repairs and high rent for small spaces.
My move in experience have not been the best. Nobody picks up the phone or call you back. There was supposed to be a $500 move in discount. However the leasing agent put it as a charge by mistake. They said a ticket have been created and it’s out of their hands but it’s been two weeks. When I called and left a message to the account manager, nobody picked up either.Got charged a fee for some trash violation. I think a warning is warranted before a fine. They also keep adding new fees but nothing is improved. Vomit on first floor haven’t been cleaned up, parcel lockers are always full.
Starting off, I have Lived here at these apartments for almost 4 years. This year lease with the new management and staff has been the worst. I recently purchased a vehicle and communicated to the staff that I needed an extra parking space for my vehicle. 8 months having the vehicle parked in the same spot my other vehicle was parked at, some guys tried to steal my vehicle. Now I understand that car break ins happen just about anywhere now in local Houston so I put a request in to get a garage thinking it would be save to have. It was a struggle trying to get a garage, at least 2 more people moved into the garage I was asking about.So I finally get the garage with two new keys and new lock just to have my garage door easily opened without these guys having the key. Made a report to police and to staff and the best they could do for me is to replace the lock and key with the rentals insurance not covering the expensive things that was stolen out the garage. We had a manager before this new manager that was more reachable but now it’s always difficult to reach management. The new staff member they have seems like he doesn’t know anything and always has to ask management on simple questions. The attitude they give someone who has been here for this long is just terrible. I’m very quiet with things I do at home and how I move so break-ins and thief is new to me and my family but the staff was not like this when I first moved in. Random people in the middle of the day are walking around looking at peoples things plotting to steal while management are just sitting in the office worrying about charging people more on things sitting on our balcony’s is just kinda strange to me.I DO NOT recommend anyone staying here.
Tires are being stolen from cars and management is doing nothing about it!!! I have seen 5 cars in the span of 2 weeks with their tires gone. Managements only solution was to pay EXTRA for garage parking. Ridiculous. I no longer feel safe in my own home.
I have lived here for 9months! & have simply had a great experience w/ the help of Shae and the team here!Shae is very helpful , always has a smile & ready to address any concerns I’ve had upon moving in & once apart of the community here!The maintaince team here is always friendly & respectful of your space you call home as well as I have never had to wait an extended amount of time for a request to be completed by them!
My review is a little overdue since I moved out in August but I hope this helps future residents! (I was here for almost 2 years).I had such a great experience living here especially since it was my first apartment :). Shae is such an amazing leasing agent! She is super personable and approachable. I didnt spend much time with Matthew but he is also a knowledgeable agent. (I hope both still work here!) Upper management was always on top of it as well!I personally loved that this place was a little away from all the action, I enjoy my peace and quiet from loud areas; so if you dont mind the drive, I recommend this location especially since everything is so nearby, if you are driving. The area is also nice and safe to walk inside the complex and the neighborhood.It was a peace of mind to have Officer Doyle on duty on evenings, management was always communicating any safety and security updates as well.Elmer and Mario are super professionals, quick to fix any issue you have, they deserve a shout out and promotion! :)I think the training center was amazing - super spacious for multiple people at once. I would recommend maybe 2 sets of everything or at least the bench press.The fitness room was also good, I definitely used that more! I would recommend an upgrade on the machines and maybe less bikes so there can be investments on either 1 or 2 of stair masters, hack squat, assisted pull machine etc.Sometimes you had some noise complaints but it was not often, everyone minds their business and are clean - important for me.My renewal process was smooth and quick as well. I wish I can take the room layout with me as I moved to a different city and the experience is different. I definitely miss this team!I hope future residents have a clean and safe experience like I did! :)
I have just recently moved in to the Connection at Buffalo Pointe Apartments and my leasing experience fast and easy! Most of the communication is online but user friendly! Shay in the leasing office was so helpful from the apartment viewing and site tour to getting the paperwork signed and me moved in. I really feel like a part of the community! Thanks for everything!
❗️RUN AWAY❗️I lived here for almost 2 years, and while the location was convenient, the complex just became progressively worse over time. Upon move in, my unit was not ready on move-in day and I was offered a different unit. It is awfully noisy here, always. The hallways are so dirty and reek of dog pee and poop. There were always evictions across from my apartment, and management left the hallways crowded with garbage and belongings for days on end. It is very difficult to reach the office team members by phone. Upon renewing my lease, they imposed a $65 mandatory internet charge and required every apartment to install fiber internet which was horrible with outages very often. The pool was hardly ever accessible due to constantly being closed down for vandalism.‼️This is a hot spot for crime ‼️ While I lived here, there were several instances of cars being broken into. My own car was stolen from here. Management was useless. The front gate was broken every other week. Many times, people would go door-to-door pretending to work for the complex, claiming they needed to enter the apartment. Finally, when it was time to pay my final month’s rent, I was notified on the 1st of the month that a “typo” was made and that my rent would be $390.60 more than previously stated. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone and would give zero stars if I could.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! I applied to this apartment about a month ago and was approved. I called them multiple times to see how do i receive a lease for the apartment but no one answered, so i left my name and call back number. MIND YOU IT IS SO HARD TO GET IN CONTACT WITH THESE PEOPLE. After not receiving a call back in days, I went there in person and talked to reggie. Reggie said to just email verification of electricity for my unit then i receive the lease. I did so, but still never received a lease. They then said I have to reply what deposit I want to choose. After weeks I went to the office yesterday to figure out when I will receive a lease and what time i come get my keys. Shae stated “she will get back to me tmr” mind you I supposed to be moving there in a few days. I kid you not, 1 hour later the community manager calls me from a no caller id number and says my apartment wont be ready until a few weeks and that they viewed it last week and wasnt ready. FIRST WHY DIDNT THEY CONTACT ME LAST WEEK SECOND NOW I HAVE TO FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE TO STAY BECAUSE MY LEASE IS ENDING. Very Unprofessional
I just moved in and love it! Reggie, Kim and Shae in the office were all great and super helpful! I would recommend checking out the property out if you are looking in the area.
I have been at Connection for 5 years and can truly say this team works hard. Yes there is crime in the area but there is so much that can be done by management. The team at Connection made sure all the residents are aware of anything going on as soon as they can and the manager takes the time to reach out to us individually. Minus the crime from time to time in the area i don’t have a complaint for this property at all.
Reggie is awesome! My friend and I didnt have an appointment set for a tour and he was nice enough to bring us in as a walk in and showed us a few rooms. Very communicative and answered every question we had! Ended up finding the perfect floor plan with his help!
The roaches are like the thieves at this complex they are both out at night. The first thing I asked before I stepped foot in the apartment was are there insects! I have had four weeks straight of pest control but this doesn’t help. Then they expect you to move all of your stuff out of the cabinets to do a fogger treatment that I did myself before hand and it didn’t work (2x). I’ve awakened to see roaches in the apartment and cars literally with no wheels or tires on them in the parking lot. If the roaches were not so bad and the noise wasn’t so frequent maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. Nonetheless, the apartment next to this complex recently had a shooting. I was literally on the floor in my apartment. BEWARE they look decent but not decent at all. MOVE HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Everyone here is wonderful and helpful. My interactions with every single staff member have consistently been excellent.My leasing agent Shae was amazing, helpful, competent when helping me with the apartment move in process. She guided me through all the steps and made it so simple. One time as a resident here she came personally to kill a wasp that was sitting on my door because I was too afraid and she is fearless.Kathy and Kim were amazing to work with regarding any apartment issue. They’re very easy to speak to and work quickly and efficiently to get your matter resolved. We had a pest concern and they were on top of it!Mario and his team from maintenance have had to fix many broken things for me and he is like a ghost- he takes 30Minutes and the problem is 100% resolved but I never see him. He’s amazing.This is a great place to live with wonderful, down to earth and helpful staff. I’ve never had a complaint they haven’t resolved. I love it here.
Worst experience with applying to an apt. Paid $250 for them to deny me. First I was told it was my credit. However my credit is above 700. Then the letter said rental history. I’ve lived in apartments for the last 4 years. Never broke a lease and paid on time EVERY TIME. They don’t answer my emails or calls. Don’t rent hereUPDATE: called and left yet another voicemail and no call back! I stand on my comment.
The following is a review after living at these apartments for little more than 1 year - Hopefully this helps with the move in process.1. Overall 4/52. Staff 3.5/5 - Reaching them over the phone is always an issue. But they do get back to you.3. Maintenance: 5/5 - they are always very prompt about repairs. They are lucky to have really good maintenance folk4. Unit: 3.5/5We lived on the 2nd floor, 2 bedroom apartment and was in a unit that didnt get much direct sunlight as the opposing unit basically limited the overall light in the room during the day. Had a roach issue that lasted for most of our stay (had to get our own traps). They did have some people attempt to treat the unit, but it still didnt help. Couldnt help but notice the odor of weed every time we walked into our apartment. Even the guests we had commented on this. But this seems to be a Houston thing. Rooms are fairly spacious, carpeted rooms (except kitchen and bathroom), and washer/dryer was helpful. Closet were decent sized, but useless to try to hang stuff on the flimsy shelves (maintenance guys helped secure several). Gym services were there, but not a lot of equipment.5. Internet: 0/5 - forced to get our own due to unreliable service that they force onto all the tenants. Basically paid for another ISP during our stay.6. Safety: 4/5 - gated entrance, but anyone can follow us in. The had a security guard that would watch the front and make his rounds throughout the night. Have seen horror stories of car vandalism, but we were lucky to not have this issue. Always got messages from the community about area related threats.7. Overall cost for 2 bedroom apartment - fairly reasonable and quick access to various places in the city (next to 610, Main), close access to the airport, med center. We have since moved to the burbs, but for a short time frame, this place met our basic needs.
Reggie was so pleasant and lovely to work with today. We had no appointment set and he still went above in beyond to show me three different units and answer all of the questions I had! Definitely 10/10.
Someone broke into my car, over 30 cars were vandalized last night. Seriously I don’t know how this place managed to get over 4 starts. For your security and your kids stay away from this place. Do not get fooled by the reviews. My nightmare began since I moved into this place. I’m so disapointed. Save your time and money people.Again do not get fooled by the reviews like I did.
I lived here for approximately 6 years, and I loved my spacious, modern, clean apartment. The manager was amazing and went out of her way to address every concern promptly. Maintenance was also very responsive. However, in the last year of living there I felt extremely unsafe. There was no on-call security officer, car robberies were not uncommon, and my then boyfriend s apartment was broken into. A murder happened on the property and someone was shot another time on the street in front of the complex. Due to safety issues, I would not recommend this complex to anyone despite how lovely the apartments and management are.
When I moved in, the staff as a whole were very helpful and knowledgeable. They were also courteous and followed up with me after I moved in. Whenever Im out and about around the property, they always wave and speak. This is hands down the best place Ive lived to date.
No bad complaints really. I’ve been here going on 3 years now. Mario in maintenance is awesome as well as leasing office staff. And of course the other reviews talk about safety and noise. We are inner city community, not saying this should be common but since pandemic and lots of new people moved to Houston, it is just the new norm now for violence because new people to Texas are not from the south and don’t really share the same morals so for that, I’ve seen a spike in crime at the complex that wasn’t here before the spike in new out of state residents, so I will not complain. My only issue would be the gym equipment in the cardio room can definitely use an upgrade because the treadmills barely work and looks nasty even after a cleaning. And maybe add a stair master also.
I have lived here for just under a year (I will be continuing my lease) and I have ZERO complaints! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, Kathrine (Kathy) who is the Assistant Manager has always had the answers I needed and is the sweetest person I’ve come across since moving to Houston. She has this huge welcoming smile on her face when you see her and is eager to make sure your needs are met. She is the definition of southern hospitality.The amenities are great, they host fitness event and there is food truck Thursday. In addition they host holiday parties for the residents, there is games and food involved so that’s always a plus. (I won a lamp at the last Christmas event lol). Safety was on the top of my list when I was first apartment searching and I definitely feel safe living here because the location is perfect. It’s usually very quiet around my building so I don’t really get distracted when studying. There is security on the weekends, they can personally escort you to your apartment if you ever feel unsafe at night.I’ve had my friends come visit and they have never had an issue with finding parking and they rave about how neat the apartment complex is. Maintenance request are always responded to in a timely manner.This is my first apartment ever and if I could give it more than five stars I definitely would!
I’m giving this a four star review only because of the leasing office team (Reggie and Shay), both have been very helpful in the application process and very helpful when it comes to answering any questions that I might have about the property or process, which inevitably made the application process, go very smoothly.Now as far as living on property, I will reply back in a few months to give an update on how it is actually living inside of the property.
It was a decent property when I moved in at the beginning of the year, quiet & clean, then all of sudden it became real ghetto around March/April. I don’t know if the office staff were pressured to just fill up the apartments or what, but it’s ratchet now. Tenants with pets don’t even utilize the dog park. They let their dogs dookie on the steps, and other walkways around the property. The office staff & maintenance men do their best to maintain the property but some of these residents come from the hood and don’t know how to appreciate nice things & that’s going eventually bring the property value down unfortunately. At night (mainly on weekends) don’t expect to get any sleep because between the loud music from the cars coming in and out of the complex and groups of people congregating in the parking lot talking loud, it’s a wrap.
Very nice apartments! The staff is super sweet and is always willing to help. These apartments are close to the NRG center so it’s nearby almost everything! I came in for a tour this week and they were able to accommodate all my needs. And the apartments are very affordable. Thank you Kim & Reggie for all your help! I will definitely be putting in my application

The Connection is a great place to live! I enjoyed living here so much that I moved away and moved back into The Connection for a second time. The apartments are modern, well priced, and the location is close to almost everything. Even better is the staff. Everyone in the office couldnt be friendlier and are on top of any issue. The maintenance staff doesnt neglect anything. Mario and Elmer in particular respond so quickly, fix everything, and are just the nicest guys ever. They even show extra love to the dogs (such a dog friendly community)! I would recommend living here to anyone. We love it.
If you’re moving in from out of state and basing your consideration of moving here from pictures and their sites - please don’t move here. Their website oversells. The site states smoke free community, but it’s not enforced. There are cigarette buds everywhere and the smell of bud is definitely apparent. And the units where they have smoked in are not cleaned out properly. After finally moving out my stuff smelled like the smoke that was just stuck in the walls. Non smoker here. And if you have kids, as a mom myself just please look somewhere else that is safer and healthier for your little guys. There is a gate but anyone can come in and out if they just wait for a car to leave. They have had instances of strangers saying they need to enter units on behalf of the leasing office and the leasing office does not investigate or handle properly. The walls and ceilings are thin causing neighbors to be upset with one another due to the noise of everyday living. I wish we would have toured in person before being stuck here for a year. Oh and a roach problem that they don’t acknowledge or advise of saying they can just spray your place..
I am very happy to put down an honest and a positive review. From the beginning I have been felt very welcomed by the team especially Matt. They make you feel like family even before you become a resident, it’s more personal than business. The amenities are outstanding with special care given to safety, they have an amazon kinda locker for your bigger packages to have more safety. People there are very accommodating and it would be an amazing opportunity for any one to live in their apartment.
I’ve been living here for almost a year now. So far I’ve had great experiences. Kim is a property manager and is super nice. The real gems of the property are the maintenance staff! They always go above and beyond when I need something fixed, even if it is small. They have also been great during COVID with flexible payments and making sure all residents are safe using the community shared spaces.
A great community with great management and staff. I recommend. I see people commenting about crime but crime has no address, its everywhere. We cant blame the office team for criminals doing what they do.
I love my Apartment, Ive been here for a few years and plan to call it home for a few more. The layout is fabulous and I love the amenities, I love that both of my bathrooms have garden tubs and I enjoy the quaint patio. Elmer and Mario are great at grounds keeping and Kathy has been an excellent manager, especially when you need it! The newer staff are great and friendly, Im happy to call the Connection my home!
I had the pleasure of going on a tour with Reginald and it was nothing short of spectacular. He was extremely thorough and was overall pleasant to talk to. Looking forward to renting at this complex!
I just moved in this Tuesday and was greeted with roaches everywhere. Roaches are so bad I can’t even stay in my apartment. I’m having to stay with someone right now till I figure something out.
I have been a resident for the last 15 months. I had a rough move in where I came to find my unit was not ready. The unit I received was nowhere near the attractiveness of the unit I toured. Extremely disappointed! I was not able to comfortably live in my unit for 3 days while corrections were made. When the unit was ready things were still....tacky? My experience:CommunityThere are amenities, but the pool has been practically inaccessible for most of my time here. Its a mostly quiet complex. There are almost no socials or events that happen for residents. A few times there was a come get a pizza today! Which I would summarize as lazy and laughable. I came from a less modern community and there were at least 1-2 resident events happening a month, so I definitely thought there would be something like that happening here. Theres a gorgeous communal space in the leasing office thats only available during office hours, so it just seems like a waste.The location of the complex is great! There is major traffic getting out of the complex in the mornings between 7:30am-9am, but what can you do?Communication/Residential ConcernsThey over communicate on small things and could communicate more efficiently on other messaging. The office will never ever ever answer the phone. There should be a resident line offered or a text service.The maintenance team is really efficient. If you have a request they will come by almost as quickly as you submit it. It is a bit discourteous that they dont wear courtesy slippers over their shoes. I dislike that most of all.There are not enough stop signs on the property, so people are speeding around corners and everywhere beyond the main driveway is game for drag racing. Extremely dangerous!I have seen three car thefts/vandalism since I have been a resident.General LivingThe walls are THIN. So much so that you can hear someones breathing in the breezeway. There has never been one time that management and team has power washed the stairs, halls, or balconies. When I first moved in I requested the balcony be power washed and the reply was something about not having the budget. The hallways and stairs are so gross. Which is why I do not want shoes in my home!Overall, living here is just okay.
This is a great set of apartments and a great staff. I have honestly had any problems with the staff at all, never. Ms. Kathy is the best! On God. Love that lady... the ENTIRE staff is very friendly and helpful almost like family. And being from out of town you kind of need that. Maintenance is responds amazing quick and fixes everything quickly. Everything.....those guys go hard...responds on emergency calls/after hours QUICKLY. Apartments are kept up well and are located in the heart of the city with most areas within 30 minutes. Recomend this place to anyone looking to rent an apartment in Houston!
I just recently applied to this apartment complex and I was already in love and just HAD to live here. The management team is phenomenal. I had to be moved out of my old place and into something new in almost 3 weeks and both Shay and her manager (Cathy, Katie) did everything in there power to accommodate me and get me the unit I wanted. I always want to live somewhere where the front office staff is like your neighbors too feels like we all live there together. This made me feel so secure in the location I chose to start my new journey thank you ladies
Possibly one of the best decisions Ive made when choosing a place to live, I was pleasantly surprised to find out the service I received prior to and during the moving process matched the reviews. Kathy and Shae made everything fairly effortless for me. The vibe around the entire staff has been and always is positive and its refreshing compared to other management teams Ive dealt with in the past. Ive only had one issue with the A/C going out, but Mario fixed it quickly the same day I placed the request and had everything working in no time. Definitely more to praise, but Ill sum it up with its worth moving here.
Ive been living at Connection since July 2020. Before move-in, some issues arose however Kathy guaranteed to communicate each step with me until we were able to resolve the issue. Not only did she verify the issue was resolved, but she also ensured I was satisfied with the outcome as well! Even after move-in, the leasing office staff have done nothing short but exceed my expectations each time I reach out with a concern. Their customer service is 5 stars worthy -- and that means a lot from someone who comes from the hospitality industry.The only downside is the size of my apartment is a bit too small for my liking (I was unable to tour due to the pandemic); however, thats an easy fix because once my lease is up I am planning on moving into one of the loft-style apartments located within the complex.
Myself and my roommate went on a tour of the two bedroom/two bathrooms and I was genuinely pleased with the whole experience! Their level of professionalism was through the roof and Shae was the most helpful guide I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I cannot recommend this complex enough to all my friends and family!

Never had any issues or complaints. Its easy to get a hold of management. They are very reasonable and understanding!! Ive never had an issue with flooding either in this area. Its very family friendly as well. I recommend this property to anyone looking in the Houston area!!! This has been my favorite property! The location is close to everything.
I went in not knowing if I needed an appointment to take a tour of the one bed room apartment I seen they had available. Shaudee who i spoke with told me i can make an appointment online but instead she told me i can sit in the lobby and she will help me as soon as possible( being she was with another customer). Shaudae, was very friendly, professional and helped me in a timely manner. She was also very detailed about whats included with the rent and how things are ran throughout complex. She was so detailed that I didnt even have to ask questions.
Truly enjoy living here. Anytime I have had a request or issues the staff has been nothing but kind and helpful. Kathy, at front office, not only made my move easy but continues to be helpful, friendly and very efficient in resolving any issues/concerns I have. Maintenance is also great! Elmer and Mario are fast, friendly and all around great. No complaints here! Thanks guys, for making this experience an all around wonderful one!
This place was my first apartment and I lived here for 3 years and LOVED it! The Connection staff is absolutely amazing and like a family. Kathy and the whole team, including maintenance are awesome and made it truly feel like home. Maintenance is quick to fix any issues and they’re really friendly and efficient. Nothing but good things to say about this place! Would definitely recommend!
First I want to give a shout-out to the entire office staff. They were so nice and welcoming. When I showed up with no appointment for a tour, they were still eagerly ready to show me around. Ms. Shae had a busy day that day but she was still very thorough and made sure I got all information I needed and answered any questions I had. I don’t remember the other lady’s name but both her and Ms. Shae made me feel comfortable enough to want to apply. My roommate and I applied that same day and the process for approval was speedy and smooth even when we had an error and Mr. Matt was able to get things back on track quickly. I cannot wait to officially call this place my home. Thank you all again.
I stopped by this property after my scheduled appointment at a nearby property (The Regard at Med center) was canceled on me without giving me any notice. I walked in and waited for someone to speak with me Shae was more than willing to assist me with all the information I needed while she is on a tight tour schedule. I went back on Tuesday and Matthew was very helpful as well. If approved, I can’t wait to move into this property soon. First impression matters !!
I may have to move for work reasons but I have enjoyed my first year leasing at this complex. The maintenance staff has definitely been the best part. They are friendly, almost always fix the issue the first time, and have come to address it the next day after I submit a work order.I have no major beefs with the complex. Parking is rarely an issue. The workout facilities are pretty good for an apartment complex. All my interactions with office staff have been helpful and cordial. There aren’t any rodents and insects are rarely an issue. The complex is close to 610 where there is a decent homeless population. But they rarely come this far down buffalo speedway so that isn’t a concern. There are also alarm systems that come with each unit which helps me feel safer.The only real issue has been theft. A few cars have been broke into around the complex. Fortunately, my car wasn’t one of them but it has happened two or three times in my year here. Also, the package delivery situation isn’t ideal. Delivery people rarely use the lockers they have in the complex and often just leave my package at my door. Several times my package has been stolen causing me to have my stuff delivered to a nearby pickup location.Overall, I would definitely consider resigning if my work situation allows for it and recommend any to give it a serious look.Update:I ended up renewing my lease here and had a slightly worse experience the 2nd year. The complex definitely got noisier. Bugs became a little more common. I dealt with an ant issue for a few weeks and definitely saw some more roaches. But I’ve lived in complexes with worse. Car break ins continued to be a thing and I found my back window smashed in by a rock one afternoon (although I suspect it was from kids throwing rocks over the fence since nothing was stolen).The staff continued to be very friendly and helpful. Only had to park far from my door a few times. No improvements to the package situation.Still a solid place to live but I was definitely ready for something new after my 2 years there.
I toured at this property and it was one of the best experiences I had so far in my apartment search. The staff was amazing! Shae was so nice and made very welcome. Even though my move in date was far out she still took the time to thoroughly give me a tour and information. I’ll definitely be back July
I had to relocate for a new job and the staff here was so accommodating. Kathy is an amazing manager and she took the stress out of the move-in process! Shae and Jo were great at helping me get settled in. The team here really alleviated the anxiety of moving! If you are looking for a place near the Med Center, this should be at the top of your list.
My husband and I have been living here for nearly three years. We love it! The staff is concerned, friendly and efficient. Maintenance quickly gets the job done. Its clean and quiet here. We love the rec room, pool area and the gym. The location is perfect - near the Med Center/downtown and stores without too much traffic congestion. This is the place to be.
Lived here for 2 years. Leasing office folks are nice and cordial. Prices are pretty good and parking garages are surprisingly spatious. Maintenance staff was always extremely quick and courteous. The only negatives are the area is not the greatest (although seems to be improving as new developments are created in the surrounding area), parking (depends on where your apartment is, I ended up getting a garage), and some of the people in the complex are very loud. Its pretty luck of the draw with your neighbors, I got lucky and barely ever heard mine.
The Connection at Buffalo Pointe is undoubtedly one of the best communities I have resided in, since I’ve been in Houston. I lived here for two years, moved away for about 3 years, and scurried back. This is my 3rd year back and I’m still in love. The office staff And maintenance staff is consistent and develops great relationships with residents. Almost all of them have been here since my first residency here and they still remain. That’s almost unheard of these days, but is profoundly comforting. During the pandemic, they missed us so Musca, that the staff set days and times for residents to step out onto their balconies so that they staff can walk by and greet everyone and so that neighbors can acquaint in such unusual times. That’s love! There so much more that I can say, but I don’t want to spend all morning typing. What I will say though is Kim, Kathy, Mario, Shay....they are great God sends. They are there when you need them and keep a smile on their faces.
I moved in a few days ago and everything has been smooth sailing so far. Jo in the front office was very helpful. She got me into an apartment in such short notice and worked with me based on what I was looking for. She was always available to answer any questions. The move in process was very efficient. I would definitely recommend you ask for her if you are looking to move in. Good experience so far.
After 2 weeks of apartment shopping, I was most impressed here. The staff made all the difference! They where very friendly, attentive and patient. They have great personalities and made me feel welcomed!
I’ve been living here for almost two years and I love it! The staff is really nice and friendly and always greet me by name. The maintenance guys are really nice and the requests get handled fast within an hour or so. The gym used to be very limited but they recently upgraded it and they even have an instructor teaching a total body class. We used to have issues with guys that didn’t live here coming to the gym on Sundays to play basketball and taking up all the parking spaces and vandalizing the property but the staff converted the court to make the gym bigger and include the classes. I love how they solved that problem to benefit the residents. My mom has lived here for six years and we both love it and we love the staff!

Best apartment complex I’ve lived in Houston. From management to the maintenance guys. They are kind, attentive, give lots of patience with the residents.
My stay at this location was great. Staff was great. I had no issues. Complex was clean. residence was decent and not ghetto.gate was never broke. enjoyed the gym. no complaints for the year I lived at this complex.
Update 05/10/18:Yes, my partner and i have experienced an unruly amount of crime during our stay at The Connection but since the last break-in attempt, Kathy and The Connection Staff has gone over and beyond to ensure we are taken care of. As a management, they have taken steps to decrease crime activity and even hosted a community crime meeting to keep residents informed. We appreciate their efforts and initiative to take necessary precautions to keep the community safe. We are pleased with the way they have turned things around for us. thanks Connection fam :)----Previous Review:In all the years I’ve rented at a complex, I have never experienced crime rate at this level.My partner and I have been living here since may of this year, and it seems that the property is constantly going down because of the residents that live here.Our apartment was broken into a few months ago, and on Christmas Day my car was broken into.Everyday my partner and I leave the house, we are fearful of our dog being home alone and the possibility of us being victims again of crime on this complex.The staff is great, but for our own safety we will not resign our lease.I do not recommend anyone to live here. Yes, the area is convenient but it’s not worth it.
Been here four months here’s my honest take. Move in process was easy. Shay was most helpful as she was our leasing agent. Maintenance is really good about responding within 48 hours of request as long as it’s not over the weekend. There isn’t any emergency maintenance number though. Reason for 3 stars is one, the office rarely answers the phone and their hours are not consistent they are always “on break”. Even when we were trying to inquire about the complex before moving in we had to physically come to get any information. As a current resident they still rarely answer the phone. Reason two is the floors of the hallways and stairwells. In my building the hallways are dirty and stained from people leaving trash outside their door with it leaking and other things. The stairwells reek of dog pee and as a whole are not pleasing to look at. I requested a new parking spot because I couldn’t take the smell and traffic that came with using one specific stairwell. Reason three. Package stealing, I had my package delivered (which was a Christmas gift) and it was brought to the wrong door. Even with picture proof of where it was left nothing could be done in regards to my downstairs neighbor taking my package and not returning it. Mail is also left outside of the Parcel locker for anyone to take. Reason four. Apartment was not properly cleaned when we moved in. Honestly looked as if dirt was painted over. Reason 5. Speeding in the parking lot is ridiculous. So many instances where people are driving 20mph hitting a corner and i’ve had to swerve to avoid being hit. People will also park in covered spots paid for or not, makes you wonder why we even pay for our spots. Lastly the neighbors in general. Walls are thin sometimes you can hear music from down the hall in your apartment or sometimes from the bottom of the stairs(seriously). At night especially on weekends it can sometimes get so loud. Multiple instances of people arguing at 2 am. One incident where a neighbors front door and garage door was egged and had flour thrown all over it. This sat for two days before it was cleaned. All in all management has room for improvement. The units are decent and priced cheaply but definitely dated and could use some deep cleaning after every move out.Also. They have their own internet service provider as of January 2023. It’s an extra 65 on you rent. Problem is the internet sucks. Always cuts out or drops completely. My network will literally disappear. Internet is Aerwave
I may have called on maintenance a half-dozen times for minor stuff since I moved in 20 months ago, never an emergency or major issue. They have ALWAYS fixed my issue the same day, and earlier today I received a call from Mario O. with two minutes. He has always been quick to resolve my maintenance requests and even goes as far as sharing insights and tips of how to maintain appliances, drainage, etc. Hes A+! The maintenance request tool is incredibly easy to use and keeps a log of all communications, entry times, task completion times, etc.Kathy R. has also been a very kind and informative person in the front office! Shes quick to respond, give clear and helpful instructions/support, and genuinely cares about the residence!

It is a nice apartment complex with good staffing. If I have ever had an issue the management team/leasing office handles it appropriately and in a timely manner. The maintenance team is absolutely AMAZING. Elmer and Mario have personally contacted me and fixed issues after business hours and if it is a true emergency stopped what they are doing and assisted me in my apartment. The building and apartments are nice and centrally located in a good distance to and from the Houston metroplex. Shae is an exceptional leasing agent, and deserves a promotion or raise in my opinion. Kathy and Kim are also amazing at their job and have made my experience living here safe and feels at home. The pool and gym I have both used and enjoyed them both.Cons- My only negative comments are not related to the staff or the apartment complex but more so the services provided. 1. We pay for valet trash and unfortunately the valet trash people sometimes drop trash and/or the bag rips therefore sometimes there is trash to pick up and/or all over the back of the complex I personally feel bad for maintenance for having to clean up after a service in which the complex pays for. Valet living trash should expect more of their workers. 2. Parcel pending can sometimes be a pain because the mail couriers just put packages in there and not text you that it’s there so getting your package can be hard as it’s a liability for the complex to open the lockers and help you. This is a problem with the mail service not the complex.Overall living here has been great!
When I visit my friends, the office staff is always so polite and willing to help me navigate through the apartments. Thinking about moving, heres where you want to be. Beautiful landscape and the workout area is top tier. 💪🏾 Shae, Kathy, Jo, Kim, Bessy, Lupe, Elmer, & Mario keep up the great work!
Trying to move into the property has been a hassle. I applied over 2 weeks ago and still haven’t heard anything back. Every time I call the person who answers says “we’re waiting on compliance for income verification” (That’s WHEN they actually answer the phone). I’m not certain why its taking weeks for compliance to verify check stubs. If you are moving from out of town, good luck! I am currently STILL waiting to hear something and I’m almost certain I won’t get my $250 in app fees back so that I can apply elsewhere that will actually have answers for their future residents. My chosen move in date was 6/16, and here it is 3 days before I’m scheduled to move from another city, I still haven’t heard anything or spoken to anyone. I had such high hopes for the property as a friend of mine referred me to the complex. If I am approved, I hope the living experience here will be better and a lot smoother than this.

I love this community. This is my 2nd time living here (left 1st due to personal circumstances), but obviously it is worth it if I came back. I definitely love the team, including maintenance. The management team and maintenance team are literally like going into Chick Fil A - everyone is happy & friendly. Not only that, issues are addressed in a very professional manner. The grounds are kept clean and tidy, and the the tenants keep the common areas clean, including ones with pets. I would like to personally thank Elmer and Mario for their excellent service. They’ve been extraordinarily kind and efficient, and certainly friendly.
Ive been here for about a year now and i really like it. The service from the people in the office (Kathy, Kim, and Mykia) is really good and the maintenance guys (Mario and Elmer) are awesome because they take care of things quickly and get it done properly. Clean property with plenty of parking in a convenient location and problems are handled in an efficient manner.
This is a great community and location. The apartments and amenities are great but what makes this place better than the rest is the people that run it. Everyone in the office and staff are awesome. Ive had the pleasure of interacting a few times with Kathy, Elmer, Mario and Lupe. They are phenomenal and make this a great community!

I’ve been living here at the connection for about a year now, and I just renewed my lease for another. During this time that I’ve been here the service of the staff in the leasing office has been nothing short of excellent. Whenever I did have a maintenance request it was completed the same day, within the hour of the request. Ms Kathy has helped me out so much during this entire pandemic and has been so understanding through it all. I am beyond grateful for the emphathy and compassion shown by this staff.
I LOVE living here. Kathy, Mykia, Shaakia and the maintenance staff are the best. They truly care about the residents. I’ve lived here for about 3 years and it has been the same staff since I moved in. The staff here has gone above and beyond to help me. I’m really grateful for them. If I put in a maintenance request, it is typically done same day. The complex is also within 15 min of galleria and downtown. It’s the perfect location. Cost is great for the location. I’d recommend this property. :)
Love this property. I think the gym is my favorite feature. I received a virtual tour from Shae and her customer service was amazing. She answered all of my questions and made me feel like I was already at home! Definitely at the top of my list of properties to live at 😊
WARNING: A COMPLETELY HONEST REVIEW! Usually apartment complexes give some type of reward to residents for posting positive reviews but I did not receive any type of incentive and I rarely post positive reviews! THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE! I had a little anxiety about moving during the Covid pandemic but everyone at the front office was extremely helpful and responsive. Shae helped me throughout the entire process from applying, to answering any questions [i.e. move in specials, rent breakdown, etc.], up until the day I moved in. Even after I moved in the maintenance staff was very quick to assist me, Im talking same day action! I even referred this place to a friend to move in and she moved in 2 months after I did. Complex is beautiful, apartments are clean and spacious, and location is perfect if you work near med center, nrg, or meyerland area. If I could give more than 5 stars I would and trust me when I say this, coming from me that says a lot!
I love the layout and design of the apartment units. This is by far the best apartment I have ever had in terms of quality.All of the amenities and fixtures are in great condition, including: washer/dryer, stove, a/c unit, counters, carpet, walls, paint, doors, lighting, fans, linoleum.The design of the entire apartment complex feels very modern and minimalistic (which I really like). The color scheme is great too. I usually feel like I need to do a lot to an apartment to hide the ugly windows and drab walls, but the unit is so appealing cosmetically that I didnt do much. I especially like the texture of the walls and the overall design of the apartment units.I feel very safe at Buffalo Pointe. The area surrounding the apartment feels a bit rough, but the gate system and contracted security company makes me feel much better.Some areas for improvement:1) Parking is limited, especially during peak hours. Im not sure how to improve that since there isnt really any area for expansion.2) Package pickup can be challenging. I appreciate the front desk service for package pickup - it is a great amenity to have, but it would be very helpful if there was a solution for after-hour pickups or extending office hours during the work week. (For example- I work Monday - Friday and leave for work before the office opens and get home typically after the office is closed, which means I usually have to wait until the weekend to be able to pick up a package.3) The noise level is a bit loud. I can hear noise from the parking lot outside my window often and the walls are a bit thin (or I have a noisy neighbor).
Just moved in and so far I am enjoying my stay. It was a great move in process. Refrigerator went out the day after move in, but maintenance took care of it IMMEDIATELY.
Hard to get in contact with, the application process was extremely stressful. Got denied due to a voluntary repo during COVID times. Not to mention I’m in the process of a settlement….A part of me feels they could have done more but simply choose not to.
Kathy and Shae made everything about my move as simple as possible for me. I’m glad that the service and kindness I received over the phone was the same in person. Shae and Kathy are definitely a breath of fresh air as far as apartment management teams go and I am so glad I made the decision to make this my home.
There have been 2 staff members helping me, with hearts of GOLD! One being Kathey the Mgr and Shae the leasing agent.Long story short...I filled out an application but didn’t add the documents correctly(I’m not tech savvy)this issue was quickly caught by the staff and they have been working daily with their screening company to enter the correct information needed. This is all being done while they answer other individuals calls and help current tenants. I am So VERY grateful they are handling my issue with grace. If you’re looking for a place with personable individuals, you’ve got it.Thank you two ladies for being such helpful and great sports!

Elmer and Mario are always so attentive, kind, & caring to all of our maintenance needs. we have been at this complex for almost four years and since day one they have been extremely amazing to us. every time we call, they come. they are the coolest & always get the job done. superb job!!
I work with multiple properties daily for work and Kim and her office staff, as well as the maintenance crew, are top of the line. They are caring and fun and provide a wonderful atmosphere. Connection at Buffalo Pointe would be a top choice of places to stay and you will always have an office staff that has your best interest at heart.
Love living here. Its a relatively quiet community and the staff here are friendly and accommodating or resident needs. Definitely want to shoutout Elmer in Maintenance, he always come PROMPT for in-apt repairs and is really good at his craft. Also want to shout out Kathy as well, she definitely knows how to manage a property.All in all I would recommend anyone to come stay here, it a great place!I also want to add that that Mario in Maintanence is really really good at his job as well. Always helpful and efficient and a fast responder to maintenance requests.
Super nice apartment complex. Shay and Kathy in leasing are both super sweet and helpful. They go above and beyond to make sure the residents are cared for. The same for Elmer and Mario in maintenance - they are honestly the real life superheroes. I’ve yet to see a problem Mario and Elmer don’t have a solution too.
I want to commend the property staff on what a wonderful job they have being doing since the stay-in orders. They have kept the residents informed by sending emails in reference to COVID updates and ways that we can stay safe, they have walked the property to say hello to residents, and have even placed cute signs in the windows. At a time when there is so much negativity and uncertainty, they have done an excellent job at bringing some positive vibes to the residents. Thank you all!!
I lived here for two years, and I truly loved my apartment. However, I did not like the fact that my car was vandalized and when I reported it to Kathy, the leasing manager, nothing was done about it. That was actually the deciding factor for me not to renew and to move elsewhere. I also had a neighbor who would play loud music from 2 am to about 5 am, so I did not sleep well at all. My neighbor would also smoke weed and the scent would seep into my apartment through the bathroom vent. It was so annoying. The rent and atmosphere of the complex was pretty reasonable, but my issue was mostly my neighbor and the lack of concern for safety for the residents property. They had an on site security guy go around the complex at night, but that didnt last long. I also did not like the fact that there was only one way to come in and out of the complex, even though there was another gate on the other side of the complex. Other than that, I like my apartment unit and the rent was reasonable.
I love living here! The hospitality and overall upkeep is amazing. I love the gym area the most. Shoutout to the workers making it all happen!! Elmer, Bessy, Jo, Kathy, Kim, Shae, Lupe, & Mario work well as a team to accomplish so much!
I’ve been living here for 2 and a half years and it’s been great. Mykia and Shaakia are always smiling and helpful. I’ve needed a few small fixes in my unit and maintenance always gets it done within 48 hours. They’re amazing. I live in a corner unit, so it stays pretty quiet. Management always keeps us updated if there has been crime in the area. (Let’s face it, it’s Houston). But I feel safe here. This is a prime location to me because it’s a quieter area but still right off the loop and easy to get anywhere. The complex has food truck Thursday’s, workout classes, and a variety of socials to create a sense of community here and I love that!
The maintenance workers are amazing here! Mario and Elmer are very helpful and so kind. The leasing agents Kathy and Shay are also very sweet and go out of their way to help if ever needed.
I love living here!! Mykia and the leasing staff are very helpful with anything we need and they are also very welcoming. The maintenance people are very punctual and friendly and we haven’t had any problems yet. The location is great and safe, I recommend living here!

I literally don’t have any complaints at all. The complex is in a great area, minutes away from major stores and restaurants. It is also right off 610, which makes the commute to work easy. I would highly recommend Connection.
I’ve lived at connection since 2017. Ive moved within the complex twice and the staff makes the transition easy. During my recent move, shae went over and beyond to ensure I got my keys quickly as the movers moved my things. Happy to call this place home until I purchase a house :-). Thanks connection team!
I have lived here for two years and I cant complain about my experience. Mykia, shakia , and kathy have been very helpful, even when my request are time sensitive. I also love the maintenance team, they always smile and waive when I drive by. If it wasnt for us moving into our dream home next year we would be renewing our lease.
Lived here for 14 months with my bf, in the “studio” layout initially choose this apartment complex because of its proximity to my job and the rent was the lowest I had seen for this style apartment. Although we were a little hesitant to moving here because of the area we enjoyed our time here. We were lucky to not be victims of car break-ins and or apartment break-ins. Unfortunately we did witness atleast 5 cars’ windows broken into. We would just recommend parking in well lit areas and have nothing visible of value in your car. We dealt with maintenance once and they were pretty fast about fixing the issue. Overall the apartment was worth the rent. Great location if you work around the area. Most residents are on the younger side. Oh almost forgot to mention that the main entrance gate was broken atleast 10 of the 14 months of the time we were there, but in all honesty not that big of deal for us. Just letting you all know the facts.
Matthew was very welcoming from the time I walked into Connection at Buffalo Pointe Apartments till the time I left. He really made me see myself living in the apartment that he showed to me. He was very PLEASANT... and knew his JOB very well.I think him for taking the time to show me what I was looking for. He Rocks......
Ive been living here with my man for almost 3 years and I would live here for the rest of my life if a buying a house wasnt the next step. The ladies at the office are the sweetest, most caring people. Even the maintenance people are like friends! Kim (the manager) is a sweetheart, always there to fix and solve any possible problem, and its hard not to see them all as family. Theres valet trash which is so convenient, maintenance is super quick, and the gym has everything I need to get a great workout im whether it be cardio or weights. There have been car break-ins here and there and I know thats bad but it happened to every single apartment near us even the unbelievably fancy ones. There is a security guard now and I feel relieved when I drive in at night and see him. All in all, Ive lived in close to 8 different apartment complexes and this one is my absolute favorite. Definitely a loving home !
We lived here once before about 6 years ago and then left Houston. We enjoyed living here so much we moved back in when we returned to Houston. Great apartments, great location and a wonderful and responsive staff.
Im going to rate his place three stars (I wish I could do 2.5 but Im being nice) because its a standard complex. There is nothing amazing about it. Your apartment is nice inside but the biggest issue are the tenants. Fights in the parking lot and people parking in the spaces that you pay for monthly. You cant get people towed although there are signs that say you can. The apt complex will not tow anyone out of your spot and security is no help. Totally not the best complex. The staff is great but the neighbors bring the complex down. I assume they high occupancy is the goal but I wont be renewing. Imma just go ahead and make this a two star review.
On several occasions I had an opportunity to speak with multiple people in the office. I promise you each time I made contact with Lupe, Kathy and Kim was always a pleasurable experience. My tour with Shaudea at Connection at Buffalo Pointe was lovely. She is very informative and caring. She was able to accommodate me even though I was 30 mins early for my appointment. The complex is quiet, nice and clean. Very excited to start the application process. Thank you Shaudea for all of your help!
The purpose of this comment is to address the rude, false & ignorant comment left by Mr. Daniel Flores. This response will be out of love & is not meant to provoke you in any way. Ive lived at this complex on and off for approximately 5 years.Life is not that complicated generally it only takes 2 steps of common sense. Those steps are to 1) Identify the issue 2) Implement a plan of action. Let me show you how this works. 1) Issue - Car break ins in the surrounding area not just this apartment complex 2a) Action - inform your residents via text message or email that there are car break ins. 2b)Action - Hold a meeting with local pd inside of the leasing office/common area giving advice on how to stay safe and avoid break ins. What more can a complex do after that point?The gate at the front entrance was not broken into. There was a resident who fell asleep behind the wheel and ran over the gate entry box. As a result the complex was forced to leave the gate open until it was repaired. Please explain to me how this is the apartment complex fault?Next show me any apartment complex or any business as a whole that are not trying to get the most out of its customers? The glitch in the system did not have an error in charging rent (fixed amount). The error was that it did not add the trash allocation. Yes that was annoying but were talking about what 10.00 @ most.The leasing staff from the ladies at the front, to the maintenance members, to the managers as a whole are very nice people. Every resident that Ive come in contact with have told me that theyre impressed by how nice our leasing staff are. This includes people that come into the office that just take tours. Dont just take my word for it, corroborate it by reading, any review board dating back past 2011.Just for kicks please tell me what you hope to accomplish by calling people names? How old are we again *rhetorical eye roll* What does obesity, chubby or being a giant have to do with someone performing their job? In my opinion thats childish, rude and just flat out ignorant.
When I first moved here it was beautiful. Throughout the year things got so bad. Not so much the management but the apartments itself. I was located In a very bad location.I was right above the maintenance and I worked from home so I could hear everything. The neighbors are very rowdy and loud. The only complaint about the inside of the apartments is that the water pressure was always low and the master bedroom does not circulate air. After asking Maintenace to fix it, they told me that’s just the way the apartments are built. Was my experience terrible? Not mostly. Would I refer someone to live here? Absolutely not. This is a very honest review. Please take consideration.

I haven’t rented a room but I’ve been trying to find apartments ealry for my january move in. I’m from Austin whos planning to attend the University of Houston. Housing was stressful as many of the apartments I came across had bad service or low on maintainence. I had a friend who lived there, gave me a small tour once and I was already in love! However, my first impression with connection at Buffalo Pointe was amazing with the help of Jo at first explaining to me the general information about the apartment in person! I called into the apartment a day later and was instantly greeted by Shay. She helped me with the virtual tours and just had an amazing personality! This will definitely be my #1 priority apartment for january and would reccomend if you are looking for a place with exceptional customer service!

Best customer service from any apartment complex I have ever leased at! I needed somewhere to lease super quick and found connection at buffalo. the floor plans are amazing and so is the area!! Shay and Cassy were so quick to find me a 3 bedroom and within 2 hours, I was approved and ready to lease. The 3 bedroom apartment we wanted here was only available August 20th but we needed one before August 10th. Before we could look another way to a different complex, Shay called me back and worked out the move in for me to be August 8th. Little kind gestures like that are so appreciated. I’ve visited here so many times because i had friends that lived here prior to me signing a lease and now i’m so excited to be here especially knowing that the management of this property will go out of their way for their residents/new residents! Can’t wait to live here!
Got my car broken into and spoke with the leasing office, who were very rude. Specifically, the manager (older heavyset woman) was very condescending and unhelpful. She told me that their cameras (probably installed in 1972) could not see the make, or model, or even color of cars coming in through the gate. What is the point of having cameras? Completely ridiculous. The apartments are actually kind of nice from the inside and outside so I am not sure why they cant just invest in decent cameras and a nightly security guard. (There security guard is rarely there)
I arrived 10 minutes late to my tour appointment (8/21/2021) because a tour at another apartment had run over time slightly. Ran to the leasing office and it was locked and said someone would come back 30 minutes from then. I wasnt able to tour because I had to leave to make it in time for another apartment tour and could not wait; however, I was able to drive through the property and see it because the gate is broken and doesnt close (which further concerned me because the safety of apartments is paramount). I was disappointed I couldnt see a unit.Before any of this, I probably called the apartment ~10 times the day before at varying times when they were open to try to get more information. Nobody ever picked up. It was a weekday, too. It is extremely difficult to contact anybody at this apartment complex. *FYI I scheduled my apartment tour online. Never actually spoke to anybody representing the property because I couldnt reach anyone.
I am soo excited and eager to move into the Connection at Buffalo Pointe! By the exceptional help of Kathy , my application process was easy and understandable. She went out of her way to help me with all of my accommodations. Kathy took her time to make sure that I had the home I wanted as well as needed. The community is beautiful and modern. The community is also in a great area. Perfect place! Im soo happy to call the Connection at Buffalo Pointe my new home!

Move in was a terrible experience everything I ask to be done and was told would be done was not etc. Matt told me one thing and the agents told me something else. The assistant manger was very rude and turn a exciting day to an annoying one. But Shay was amazing and super sweet.
Ive lived here now for almost 2 years. I believe a few months ago the complex was bought by GreyStar, the community has gone down since then. The leasing agents are nice but they are TERRIBLE about answering phone calls. Ive had to call several times and, I leave messages, only to never get a returned phone call. Most of the time I have to leave my job to handle things that can easily be accomplished with a phone call. Ive even called about important matters and still, no returned phone call.As far as safety, there have been a couple of break ins, which unfortunately can happen anywhere. The tenants in my building can be somewhat annoying because of the noise level but, I think this will depend on where youre located in the community. I believe the front of the community is probably better (more quieter). My neighbor is terrible about leaving the trash outside of her door for hours (Im talking a FULL work day/8 hours and sometimes overnight). As for the physical appearance of the community, the grounds are well kept but, the resident halls and stairs are filthy. The resident halls need to be power washed occasionally.My last complaint is, recently my air conditioning unit stopped working. I put in a work order, got home from work today and my apartment is still at 85 degrees! Needless to say, the unit is still out. ITS SUMMER IN TEXAS, what the hell?! ...Oh and really, my last, very last complaint is, the water pressure is EXTREMELY low! Taking a shower is almost like using a water mist spray bottle! (lol) Im exaggerating, but honestly its not too much better, the water pressure is ridiculously low.With all of these newer upcoming apartments being built, I would look around. Theres no reason to tolerate all of these disappointments when you have so many other options, especially considering the cost. The rent is not much, if at all, lower than these newer buildings. These good reviews on the site must have been written before GreyStar took over the community. I sincerely try to give honest, helpful reviews. The only thing I like about the unit, is my apartment layout.
I have lived here for almost a year now and have had very little problems. When it comes to service requests for my apartment I can always rely on Mario Ortee and Mario Elmer to get the job done :) They come quickly and never fail to problem solve efficiently. 10/10 recommend living here

Property is always clean! Pool and The grill area are excellent!! Mail Room/ Gym / Visitor Restrooms/Basketball court are always super clean!! Shay has been there for me on multiple accounts where I’ve had self caused issues that she didn’t have to fix for me but still she makes it her mission not only to fix my issue but also to make sure her tenants are well taken care of at that exact moment, even if she is literally locking the doors and leaving the office after a long day of work!!Ps..I will stop locking my self out of house/garage etc lol..especially right when your closing and heading home...thx again for help!! This is the best place I’ve lived by far!
I absolutely, LOVE living at The Connections At Buffalo Pointe by far the best place I have lived! Staff is professional, compassionate and very nice. Maintenance team Mario, Elmer is always on point and answer service request quickly. The complex offers crime awareness meetings for residents in an attempt to help tenants reduce and deter crime and criminals. Come live with us at The Connection At Buffalo Pointe.
Moved in last summer....this community has become unsafe. Every week there’s car break ins, car thefts and even armed robberies. They allow anyone to move in here and the gate is ALWAYS broken on weekends. Never seen the security person management raves about. Last night over 10 cars were broken into throughout the complex including mine, where was this great security officer then? There’s one camera on the front gate and it’s pointed at the ground. I’ve lived in pretty sketchy areas around Houston and nothing like this ever happen to my property.Update: Things are improving. Security seems to be present more. Office has been very accommodating since the coronavirus pandemic.
My stay here has been a disaster thus far. I have had my car broken into several times and have experienced some rather rude people that hangs out over here that doesnt even stay here. My last complex had officers on site that didnt mind citing them and escorting people right off the property with trespass warnings and even investigated break-ins. I used to be a property manager and from my experiences a complex this nice need an on-sight officer or two. Itll make the people feel at ease to know their well being as well as their valuables are protected. I would say security, but security guards cant do everything an officer does, especially with officer presence. Anything went wrong the all the residences had to do was call the security line and it went straight to the officers phone. Just my suggestion.
Have to give it to these people, they are the most accommodating and friendliest I’ve encountered in Houston! We had some issues in the beginning and they resolved them with no hesitation. We are pleased with all of Connection!
My son moved in this past weekend 01/29/2022, and on his FIRST night items were stolen from his front door. I sent these items. While I understand things like these occur the response from Management and upper ups was terrible. No one says the property is liable for any THEFTS but what they are liable for is to make sure EVERYONE onsite passes background checks! My phone calls have gone un-returned since I am not the lease holder and considering my son is 23. But the lack of compassion for this situation is what makes me write this review! I live thousands of miles from my ONLY child and with sacrifices we have helped him ensure a future(he is a recent graduate of Rice University) and now we have to live with the unsteady feeling of him not being in a safe Community! I am hoping they install cameras and have better safety measures moving forward! And to THE AMAZON THIEF (neighbors)--HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING THE ITEMS I PURCHASED & YOUR WELCOME !

The property is close to my job at the Med center, close to major freeways, and close to many of Houstons world class shopping areas. Five stars and 2 thumbs up!!!

Unsafe apartment complex. My car has been broken into twice in the last 4 months. You would think that after complaining about a higher crime rate the complex would increase security but that’s not the case. We’re supposed to have a security guard onsite but you rarely see him/her. The front gate has been broken allowing everyone including nonresidents to drive in. The manager has no interest in the safety of the tenants.

I love this complex!! I feel safe. Great location for the price. No roaches! Love the amenities. Never had an issue here. Maintenance handles my request quickly. Love the Starbucks coffee machine in the office. The pool is great!
Used to really love living here due to the aesthetics of the property & units, convenient location, & great customer svc from management. Now its terrible. The property is filthy & management is useless. Rent is reasonable, but still too much considering how nasty the property looks now. Theyd literally trash & stains everywhere throughout the halls and stair cases. Looks terrible. My lease is up before the end of this year & I cant wait to get out of here. There are a ton of vacant apts here and I now see why. I may just move next door to the nice, new apts recently built so that I remain close to work.
Lived here for 2 years in a first floor 3 bedroom apartment, price varies based on availability and we stayed at the back of the complex so there was always available parking, the maintenance team is A plus and would respond same day never had a problem with them would have loved to stay but there were no 2 bedroom apartments available
I have lived here from the very beginning and every single employee gets more than 5 stars. Always polite and respectful no matter what the situation is. They have extreme patience dealing with all of the different dramas that go on daily always with great service which is hard to find. Love them !!!

The apartment itself is mediocre. Can hear the train late at night sometimes, but maintenance is pretty fast. Office staff is ok except for one person. Shakia, one of the office staff is very condescending and rude, and always makes me feel uncomfortable to visit the office. For instance, the office provides computer and print services and the printer was out of ink and I talked to her and she complained to me in a very grumpy manner but I just replaced it?!Also the office computer internet was disconnected and she was the only one in the office with a guy, wasnt sure if he was a resident or just chatting with her but when I approached behind they stopped talking and he looked towards me so thought they were expecting me to say something, so I asked her about the internet issue and she responded like I was being very rude interrupting them, when she couldve just told me to wait in a nicer way and I wouldve understood. She is very moody and very unprofessional. Everytime I visit the office for packages or printing, which I try to avoid as much as I can, she ruins my day. Youd be able to find better places at similar price in the area. Im happy that Im moving out soon.
This complex has a very supportive staff that is quick to respond whenever you have questions or concerns as a resident. Jo in particular has been vital in helping me track down packages during the kerfuffle that is 2020. I would recommend anyone looking for an apartment near NRG Stadium to take a tour of this complex.
Just recently moved into my new apartment. I did a Facetime tour with Jo, and the apartment was perfect for me. Shay & Jo both have been very helpful during this time especially with COVID19 going on. Also, I love the fact maintenance response very fast.

My roommates and I needed to move in pretty quickly, and Shae was super helpful and on top of things to get our apartment application moving forward. It would have been a much more complicated and longer process without her help!
I love how new the apartment is and the management is quite responsive in repairs and etc. However, since they dont have an elevated parking lot many cars were flooded during Harvey. Also, the office hours are pretty short and inconvenient for the residents. It opens around 9-10am which is after ppl leave for work and closes at 5pm (before ppl get out of work). The office is closed on Sunday. There are many apartments out there where their office is open during weekends. The fitness center utility is pretty limited.
Kathy is AMAZING. She found my package when I thought it was lost. She had no problem helping me look for it ! Not to mention this package was my birthday outfit, so hearing that it was delivered but no where to be found is a scary thing for a birthday girl. But thankfully she put time aside to help me find it!! 😊

So I’ve been out and about apartment hunting and I stopped passed this complex the lady literally sat there on her phone at her desk and didn’t even acknowledgement being at the door. I understand covid guidelines however to completely shut the entire leading office down when you only have 2 associates in there. How are suppose to view the apartments?? I’m not doing a virtual tour and give you money on something I’ve physically not seen in person. Shame on the staff here.

These apts are great and the service is amazing. A big shoutout to Mario and Elmer. They are quick, efficient and handy! Im thinking of renewing my lease just because they truly care about their tenants.
Maintenance service is superb. Safety, so and so. Parking is something that would need to be worked on. People park literally anywhere they want, even to the point that it may be impassable or be prone for collisions. Disrespectful people park in reserved covered parking spots without paying. It upsets me that I have to pay for parking and others don’t. It’s not fair. I don’t think I’ll renew my contract :(.

Pros: clean, safe, and plenty of parking for visitors.Cons: management can be better and the occasional train going by. Its not that loud but loud enough to hear. When youre a light sleeper like me, its not the best sound to hear at 4am.Overall, this place is close to shopping and restaurants.

For the price of these apartments, you would expect better management. First off, there are constant break-ins in cars, but the obese manager said there’s nothing they can do as they didn’t see it happen themselves! Secondly, the gate at the front entrance has been broken into, allowing more nonresidents to enter easily. Third, they are always attempting to get the most money out of their residents. For example, the say their system has “glitches” which don’t charge us for a part of our rent and that we must pay it, despite the fact that we have paid the rent in full already. Lastly, the actual manager herself is very rude and unwilling to help her residents with their problems. She is the giant, chubby woman that spends her days behind her desk eating snacks all day. Overall, if you don’t mind being taken advantage of by managers who only aim to take your money and do not care about how pleasant your stay is at their residence, then this is the place for you.
I moved in about a month ago , I came from out of state and shay and jo were by far the most helpful front office associates. I have never been so impressed with a complex from a far they made my 3 week move smooth . Best place to stay near medical center ! LITERALLY THE BEST.
My husband lived here for FOUR YEARS. Its been good, but its getting bad. 1. Our roof has been leaking since April. They never came and fixed it. The maintence is a hit or miss but thats every. 2. PARKING. This is our BIGGEST ISSUE. We pay $30 extra for parking Because available parking is such a big issue!!! Every other day someone is in our spot. Time and time again we email and go to the office and complain even show pictures of the car in our spot. And guess what, management says they cant do anyrhing. WHY THE F*** DO YOU HAVE TOWING ENFORCE SIGN FOR?!!?! These people suck!!They recently switched to bh management and nothing has changed. They told me once they will start enforcing it. That was TWO months ago. Sorry we are not renewing our lease. They need to stop fricken throwing parties in the damn office and try paying attention to actual problems. If you dont mine working night shifts and coming home to no parking spots, cool go ahead and live here. If you dont like being taken advantage of, find somewhere else to stay.

This complex even does not deserve 1, I wanna give minus if I could. My apartment just has flooded, I have lost every thing. We went there to see the property even though the school zone is not good. Me and my husband want to see the model apartment, but they did not let my husband to see because he does not have an ID. I was the only one who can see the model because I have my ID. This was an extreme situation, national disaster, Harvey. Everybody is trying to help victims of Harvey, but they were totally RUDE, UNHELPFUL, INSENSITIVE, INTOLERANT, etc. We were really upset and we left the property immediately. Even tough other complexes are not taking app fee, admin fee, deposit, etc, these guys even did not wanna show us, although we have one ID.I cannot think how the staff will behave during normal times, and their supervisor also!!!!I am leaving in a guest house with my 5 year old son, trying to find an apartment asap, next week schools will start, I left my son to some of our friends, spending all day looking for a place to move in, but this situation totally unacceptable.
This is one of the better complexes i have lived in, maintenance and office staff is great and the location is superb. My apartment has alot of cabinet space which allows for me to store all my junk and its still spacious.

This is one of the best decisions as far as home living I’ve ever made. The staff here are very nice and helpful and worked at a fast pace ! Moving into the Connection at Buffalo pointe was a smart move for me!
Great tour and looks to be great place to live. Sha did a wonderful job breaking everything down and even entertaining my son while I walked around the apartment.

Make sure to pay all the hidden utility fee before you move out. Apt complex did not even try to notify us even on our move out date. Later, you will receive a call from Collection company demanding unpaid fees.
Ive worked with Kim and the staff at Connection at Buffalo Pointe for nearly 8 years and they have been incredible to work with! Their response time is usually less than 24 hours if theres anything that is needed.
Staff is great, apartments are nice. They also have a gym and basketball court its awesome. Shoutout to Kia 1 and Kia 2 for being the best!

Went on a tour with Mathew and he did such a great job showing us around as well as having a great down to earth attitude. Wanted to lease here just because of the experience with him.
I love the staff here at Connection. Issues are always resolved on time and communication is always kept with residents via email, or phone calls and messages. Everyone is super friendly and I love that!

Everyone in that office and the entire maintenance crew gets 5 stars. Weve been here since 2017 and havent had any issues. Great place to live!!
Amazing staff, they treat you just like family. Been here for 3 plus year and each year they just keep getting better and better. Kathy the assistant manager is an angel from above!!

His scheduling skills ensure that we do not fall behind schedule while also being flexible enough to modify them at our convenience.
