I’ve lived in Halcyon West for 5 months, and it has been the worst living experience I’ve ever had due to poor management, maintenance issues and safety concerns.It has been so bad that even the fire station constable has threatened to shut this place down due to the fire alarms going off for hours and no one is available to help shut it off. This is a frequent occurrence.The old manager quit and the new one Claudia, is very unprofessional, so is the girl at the front office, Destiny. Very rude and nosy. They are never in the office and maintenance issues go weeks without getting resolved. We have a new born and there were ants in his food, his clothes and even started to react to them. We put in maintenance and nothing was done for 4+ weeks. We started treating the issue ourselves even though we pay for these amenities.The vents have liquids leaking out of them and whenever we call for them to fix it. The maintenance says the office is “too cheap” to fix it. The cabinets and sinks keep falling because they rushed to fix it. There are so many cracks on the walls that insects can get in. I even have several residents who say they fight spiders on a regular basis.The only good thing about this place is the location. Especially if you like African cuisines.I hope this is able to help someone trying to find their home. Because if my husband and I listened to the reviews we will not be in this mess.
Living at Halcyon West for 6 months has been an incredible experience! I’d say these were one of the best apartments that I’ve lived. I moved in when they were “Sunrise Briar Forest” the property is beautiful and so are the units. I’ve lived elsewhere and so far one of the best experiences here. I did have an inconvenience towards the end of my lease when they changed to Halcyon West. Rules had changed and things weren’t the same anymore. But overall I’d say that this property is absolutely beautiful and the units are too!
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!’by far the most uneducated and unorganized ppl. I was a resident here for some years. But everything when down hill. After the latest hurricane this complex lost power. The staff and management refused to get our cars out from the garages and did not want to pay or call a locksmith. This went for 4-5days maybe more. After all that I email corporate and never got an answer or email back from them. To top it off. As we move out “my deposit was not on file”. But my pet deposit was. This people pocket/Stoled our deposit and pet deposit because of some minor stains. Yet later come to find out these ppl wanted more money because of damages. I Freaking lost it. Never received a called or letter. But they sent it straight to collections, and the damages for things that the pet deposit should have covered. Now I keep getting calls from collections for 300 dollars . These ppl stole over $1200 from me and want more
Moved here 3 month ago and this place is great to live. Everything is almost new. Swimming pool and central fountain areas are beautiful. Also gym and billard. The apt is nice inside and very hommy. Mail room with comfortable boxes and parcel service. The only two things we can say they can do better is the barbecue with tv area in the pool because they both need maintenance and also our experience is that they respond to requests at second day and this place is new and not that big to think they have a lot of job to do. Overall worth living here.
This place has to be the worst complex to live in. Do not get fooled by the lake , trust me. Management is the worst , they don’t care nor do they have the time to deal with anything. This place is beyond ghetto. Stole my deposit and had the nerve to charge me more.Please stay away from here cause it was hell on earth
Ive been living at Halcyon west for a little over a month and Id recommend it to anyone whos looking for a place. I love my apartment and its very quiet. Destiny and Ashleigh were really nice and helpful during my moving process. I looked at different properties in the area, but it was their customer service who made me feel like this was the right place.
The property is very nice. Very clean Ashleigh and Julian and Destiny are very nice leasing ladies.Their energy is very nice and their personality lightens the property. I would recommend this property if I had to recommend. Keep up the great work ladies!!!
I moved here from El Paso and was in need of same-day move-in. I went through three other apartment complexes and all said the same thing. I had to wait till Monday for the manager to show up or paperwork to be processed. I came to Halcyon and explained it all to Julia and she did everything in her power to get me in an apartment the same day. She went above and beyond and was always respectful and attentive. Not to mention the apartment looks good and didnt have issues. Enjoying it so far.
I have been living here since August 2023 and it has been an awesome! Ashleigh the Property manager is amazing always answers questions, very pleasant! The other staff is awesome as well. It’s Always clean and well maintained, from the property, gym, pool etc. . Very quite and safe! Every works as it should. Maintenance concerns are handled swiftly! I Love it here! Leslie S,
Worst parking policy. I am meeting one of my friends there. We are coming in 3 cars. But, the management only allows one guest parking. Upon asking, they say, they cant do anything about it. How can you not make an exception for special situations or allow 3 parking at the least? This is very unfair for the residents. Hope the management sees this, and takes some action.
The office people are so nice. My move in was less stressful than any other place I’ve ever lived in. The property is pleasant and clean. My neighbors are really stompy. But I love my new property!!
I will never recommend this apartments to anyone!!!We moved out of these apartments about 5 months ago after spending 4 years there. Before we left we met with the management to ensure we were cleared and that we did not owe any balance payment for anything and we were told everything was fine. One week after we left, my wife went back to meet with them again. She was told the same thing, that we had zeroed our account and we were good.Only to get a letter from collections today saying we owed $230 from Halcyon West apartment. Both me and my wife’s credit was also hit by this collections. This is just sad!!! Even if they dropped the ball, they could at least give us a call or text or send a letter explaining what we owed so we can pay it off. They sent us to collections!! Wow!!!And when we called they said it was water bill for the last month we stayed there. What water bill cost $230 for 20 days???This left a very bad taste in my mouth and I also read in the reviews they did same thing to other people as well and it needs to stop.
What a Awesome, Quiet, Beautiful, and State of the Art Residential Community to live!! But beyond that is what lies inside the Rental office: Stephanie the assistant manager goes above and beyond to offer great service everytime u call for needs inside the home, or even day to day to life, always courteous, always sweet, and personally for me she has went above and beyond and that means so much, she is the exact example of a Selfless, Helpful person whom Im truly grateful for. As for the Manager of the community Mr Dario he is also the same, very Helpful, Resourceful, Personable, always Speaks, does all he can for his residents and treats u with such respect beyond a Managers standards. Everyone from Liz who also works in the office to all maintenance, whos involved for making this community what is everyone is so nice and they get things done here what a wonderful community to be apart of!!
One of my neighbors has trash outside thier door that smells like a dead body. Called the office. Its still there. They do not have maintenance on Saturday or Sunday. Noise is allowed all night. I had to take care of my own Roach problem. Thank goodness I only signed a nine month lease. Dont let the scenic property fool you. I cannot invite anyone over because I am embarrassed by something most of the time. The property management company Mosaic is worse than the leasing office I actually went there to complain to no avail. The office seems to have attitudes when you complain. You can hear it in thier voice. Old appliances no hot water just warm so no hot baths, water pressure is ridiculous broken drawers in the refrigerator broken dishwasher racks. Over sprayed paint all over the place but ofcourse its not cheap to stay here. I will be having the news station and a Podcaster here soon. They need to be put on blast. I was so excited to move here and that went away on my move in date because it wasnt move in ready.. paint all over the patio broken cabinets Roaches the floors were a mess and kids running around all day over me. A mini nightmare
Went to take a look at the beautiful apartments. Chanel greeted me with such great spirit. She made me feel very welcome there. I viewed the the place for a friend and I would definitely advise my friend to live there. Chanel was very informative about the apartment complex. Very clean and neat. The office staff are really great.
I was new to the area, looking for a good, safe community to live in. This is a very nice property and I feel comfortable! When I came in, I was greeted by Chanel who was very professional and kind. She showed me the floor plans and told me about the surrounding area. Because of her, I became more excited and knew I wanted to be here. Thanks Chanel and staff!
I wanted to wait a few months before posting a review, to fully form my thoughts about living here. I moved in about half a year ago. When I first moved in, it was actually pretty great. The apartments are nice, the grounds are kept up, and maintenance is honestly pretty good considering their small team. Thankfully, theres not as many buildings as there are in other complexes, so its manageable for the team. They also hire subcontractors for other forms of maintenance, which is helpful. Management is very kind and professional, and although sometimes they are not as quick to communicate as I would like them to be, its not the worst. Its also a very small team in comparison to other apartments Ive lived in of a similar size.However, especially as of recently, the one thing that has concerned me greatly is security. Apartment break-ins are now almost a daily occurrence in our complex, even in the middle of the day, even if those people have ring cameras. Cars keep getting broken into, despite having nothing in them of any value, even under a bright street light because there are not really any security cameras nearby. Ive been talking with other residents, and we are all feeling less and less safe by the day, as while we are doing what we can, and keeping an eye out for our neighbors as best as we can, we still feel like that the ownership is blaming tenants for being broken into, rather than there being gates that are too easy to get into, among other issues. Unless ownership does something substantial within the next month or so, Im going to finish out my lease here next year and not renew. Its not worth the money Im paying, and I know there are a lot of people in this complex paying way more than me with similar grief. I dont blame apartment management directly, as they have to deal with corporate bureaucracy, but the owning company clearly is more interested in making money, completely disregarding tenant safety in the process. I really wanted to say that I liked the complex, because my personal experiences have been fine, but seeing whats happened around me, and now directly to me as well, Ive changed my mind. Giving this a two-star rating because of my good experiences thus far, and I would have given it more if the ownership had any empathy for the tenants here.
My wife and I have been living here for about 3 months now, with her parents in another apartment here. So far, this has been the best living experience we have had in Houston. I highly recommend these apts. the maintenance staff is very quick and gets things done the first time.
My daughter and I have been living here for almost two years. We love it here, from the pool to the gym and community room. The neighborhood is nice, all the neighbors mind their own business and the area is very clean. The maintenance people are always on time and are there for you! The leasing staff is nice, but the assistant manager Stefanie will get the job done! When you come to her about anything she’ll make sure she execute the problem right before your eyes. Rather it’s how to properly clean the glass stovetop, to how to wipe the walls properly, or even if you want to rent out the community room! She’s an awesome person! Someone to have in your corner and just someone who will try her best to keep you a happy resident at Sunrise. She’s here for her residents and we hardly find any property managers like that anymore. I remember when I first start living there I would always go to the office and ask if she can break down my rent because I did not understand it (being that I was on a special). Boy, did she have time for the breakdown not once but more than twice! Without any complaints or signs of irritation! I just really have to shout her out! So y’all, please please please, if you ever wondering if this is the place for you and your children I say give it a try! Nice community! Nice floor plan, good neighbors, awesome maintenance services, and a dope apartment manager! Close to Eldridge Pkwy, Kroger’s, two gas stations, two tire places, and auto shops, and not to mention the easy access to I10!!!

Apparently I had a leak in my kitchen sink (probably from the freeze) and black mold had started to take over under my kitchen sink. I called and within 24 hours they replaced the leaky parts and had all the mold completely gone. Can’t tell it was ever there. Looks brand new! You guys rock!!
I did not have roaches before l moved here but I do now. I am sick and tired of getting up every morning seeing roaches. The exterminator has been here 4 times I have bombed so this place has to be infested
My mother stayed here for 5 years, only moving away recently for a job promotion. She loved this luxury apartment with beautiful fountains, well maintained amenities, prompt maintenance service. She found the staff to be kind and friendly and truly a nice home.
We have been here since June of 2019. Plenty of parking, maintenance is always on time to fix our issues, no roaches (I live on the 1st floor, more common, but not here!!) The pool is open almost every day except for the days its really cold and when they clean it. Clean property, love the trash valet. Quiet place! My neighbors are not noisy, I havent had any issues with break-ins or theft of any sort. All my neighbors are friendly. Poopy bags at every station always stocked. I am in love with this place. I wont forget to mention they have community parties! I hope I can renew my lease in september because my husband and I REALLY love this place. I totally recommend. Angela and the rest of the staff are the BEST. Your gonna love this place. Promise.
Never move here!!! My roomate and I lived here last year and just noticed a drop in our credit scores! It turns out they sent us to collections without notifying us that there was anything pending from our move out! We called multiple times after moving out to double check that we were settled with them, but apparently a payment didnt go through correctly according to them and they just didnt tell us. And when we went to ask them about now, they just stared and said, well were not obligated to tell you, so thats your problem. Also, the weird deposit thing they try to convince you is good is an absolute joke and doesnt cover anything after you move out even routine cleaning, despite what we were told during our tour. Again, never move here!

My husband, my two years old daughter and I were invited to spent some time in the pool with two residents of this apartment complex ( my brother and sister in-law with and their one year old daughter who lives there) it was supposed to be a two hours thing, since all of us had another plans in the afternoon. The security man did not open the pool at 10 o’clock in the morning today, and this is not the first time. We needed to call management and the pool was open almost at 11 am, bad service
My husband and I moved into our new home at Sunrise Briar Forest last September, and our experience has been phenomenal from the very start! The incredibly kind and caring Property Manager, Nick, and the amazing leasing team are thoughtful, dedicated, professional, and all-around amazing! I will recommend this apartment community to anyone.
If youre looking for a place to call home...look no further! I needed a short term apartment and was exhausted from looking, but then I met Angela, Stefanie and Nick and I knew I found the right place for me!From Manager to leasing agent they understood what my needs were and how to make me feel at home!The property was nice, safe and convenient which was exactly what I was looking for. And as a bonus the Property team hosted great events that I truly enjoyed...and will miss when my time is up.Thank you Nick, Stefanie and Angela for being more than a leasing staff and for truly being friends!
Used to be such a nice apartment. It has taken for worse with break-ins, parking theft ( once all my tires were stolen from parking) On top of that even when I stayed in apartment for 6 years and i cleaned apartment reasonably well they still sent me charges for cleaning/blinds. They promised to replaced carpets when I signed the lease but they never did.
When I first moved in, I loved it and was so happy! That lasted for three or four months. They do NOT keep up maintenance on the grills. I have to police the property myself.... BECAUSE NOBODY ELSE CARES! The tenants that are moving in are rude, crass, and LOW CLASS! I cannot wait until my lease is up so I can get the hell out of here! The leasing office has a revolving door for employees. Every time I go to the office there are different agents, and I go in the office FREQUENTLY. I do have good things to say about Jackie. She attends to my requests promptly and efficiently.
My stove was cracked twice. Even my pan was melted. I went and I asked the manager so I had to wait for almost a month to get a dirty nasty one from an apartment that they never clean. Every time I try to use it, my apartment will have so much smoke and I cant even breathe. I promise I have contacted the office over 30 times they never answer. Im in the business myself and I know that its so easy to get with maintenance. I had guests coming over and I couldnt even cook. I will not renew. And yeah I have asked one of the girls for corporate number and they hang up on me. My husband goes everyday asking for a stove and the manager keeps promising to send someone over. I cant wait to move out. And please if you were to reply to my review do urself a favor and send someone to the apartment to take care of the issue
Halcyon West is one of the best places I’ve ever lived. It’s mostly quiet and has a beautiful pool. If you’re looking for an apartment in the energy corridor I definitely recommend this complex.
Absolutely amazing complex. Spacious and Beautiful floor plans with great amenities and there’s such a beautiful view from the pool! The staff is always great. Angela is a rockstar, always super helpful and attentive. Plus I couldnt ask for a better location near all the great food and shopping Houston has to offer. So definitely make the right move and come home to Sunrise Briarforest!
Ghetto apartment complex masked by upgraded amenities.If I could give this apartment less than one star I would. Today March 17, 2017 I realized that my car was broken into. Not to mention late 2016 my neighbor’s apartment was broken into. I have suspicion that this apartment complex is renting out to section 8 applicants (literally). Its not surprising to drive home from work and view clothes drying on the balcony, cups, paper and trash around the parking lot. When sitting out on my balcony I’ll see a man in jeans and timberland boots walking his Pitbull shirtless. There are no basketball rims located on this property yet you’ll find small kids and larger kids playing in the middle of the parking lot throughout the day barely trying to avoid traffic. During the summertime, the pool area is occupied like South Beach during spring break.The maintenance crew for this apartment complex are good. They fix things and in timely manner. The apartment styles are forefeeling; the pool area is cool (when it’s not at a peak rush-hour). This staff in the leasing office are nice.Overall, I would NOT recommend this apartment.
I have been living here for almost a year. Management is great! I truly appreciate how quiet it is and safe as I have a daughter and was very picky when I chose an apartment complex.My only complaint is some neighbors being loud on weekend but that is expected anywhere you do.
Of recent my family had a very terrible experience with the leasing staff at Sunrise Briar Forest. We were promised to be moved in to an apartment unit on the 25th of November. We had already paid our deposit and all necessary fees. Then the day we were supposed to do a walk through of the apartment the leasing office told us they couldn’t find the key. Which we felt was rather suspicious because we were told to come take a look at the apartment and kept waiting before we had to go ask then they told us about the “missing key”. Then the day we were to move in we were given a unit different from what was discussed by management to us. After a nonchalant attitude towards our complaint and concerns regarding the apartment we decided we would not go with the apartment unit and not sign the contract (lease) and seek housing else were which cost us. We were to move out of our current apartment on the 30th because our lease ended but we had to push it back the date because we had to find a new place to live, not to talk of missed flights l. We wanted our deposit back since we never lived in the apartment not signed the lease and management refused to give it to us and refused to show us a policy that showed that they have a right to keep the deposit. This makes no sense because we never signed the lease nor lived in the unit. We would really appreciate our refund
My family moved here 7 weeks ago and we are very disappointed in the management ability to keep everything working. The pool is very nice but the grills do not work and the TVs do not work. We have told them every week and even wrote the corporate office and nothing helps. Very frustrating for all the people who live here. They do not keep up with the pool table and pool sticks being available. Pool sticks are all broken and the office girls say that management will not approve new ones. As far as the apartment the walls are paper thin and you hear your neighbors morning noon and night. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
The Sunrise Luxury Apartment Complex is truly Breathtaking!! From the Amenities in The Home, Infinity Pool, The River, The Gym etc u have to see it with your own eyes, and Especially the Leasing Manager Angela shes the Best in the Business!!! the Face of the Leasing Office when u first walk in, Her Presence Her Willingfulness, Dedicating herself to make sure u pick the right unit because she definently Helped me and she even stayed late until I got my money order to apply Shes Beyond Awesome!! I cant wait to enjoy my new Home and again this PLACE WILL BLOW YOUR MIND AWAY!!!
Maintenance Staff is excellent. When they are engaged, they attend to it fast and with a no-nonsense approach.Leasing Staff is at-times rude to existing tenants. They (& management) give adding more tenants more importance than retaining tenants.Example:- Smoke Alarm is blaring in my house (we did not manage to find the reason). Not knowing what to do, I approached the Leasing Office expecting them to call maintenance immediately.- Instead, the lone staff who was available went around to all prospective customers in the leasing office to exchange pleasantries before picking up the phone to call Maintenance. (Lot of people come here because of Barbara Bush School - even though there is no play area)Clearly someone did not know the difference between Urgency & Importance.The maintenance team fixed it in less than 10 mins.The funny part : While i was in the leasing office, there was mention (on phone) of a customer who was raising their voice/being rude. If you have kids in the house and Smoke Alarms go off.. Would you rather give importance to being polite, take your turn in a queue & be at your best behavior rather than getting the issue at hand attended to asap.
When we moved here, we were happy. It was a brand apartment, looked nice and the staff were polite and kind but now I can say thats the worst living experience that I have.Everything from noisy and careless neighbors to a non-responsive management and a very low quality construction.Low quality appliances and what ever you may have nightmare about a bad experience.Ill move out as soon as possible.
Sunrise Briar Forest is the FIASCO of the Super Bowl 2017.Here is the story: Sunrise Briar Forest is equipped with a beautiful Pool area that is available to use for all residents and their guests (2 guests per tenant) and it has several outdoor TVs.My wife and I had invited four of our friends for Super Bowl dinner time to set in the pool area and to watch the game. First, minute into the game, a gentleman has approached us introduced himself as the security rep for the establishment and was informing us that he is tasked by the management to lock down the pool area (and told me I could receive a violation it could get arrested!!!!! If I dont leave the pool area. To me, Yes it is for inviting friends to watch the game. Not only that, when I was questioning the instruction (No prior notice was served to us informing on of the locking the pool area) I was told that I have an apartment and I can host my guests there!!!!!!!! Yes, I was told what to do. Anyway, had we been given a notice, we would have planned something different, but because of the last minute decision made by the management we were faced with an awkward, embarrassing moments with our friends and ended up missing the first half of the game and half time show and honestly I did not enjoy the other half for how frustrating the situation was.A management staff member was in the office at the time of this incident and she told me of the reason why such decision was made, it was for security reason as they have discovered glass shattered all over the place in the pool area (the security rep had told us that the reason was that they are expecting large crowd to hang around the pool area with kids and they want to avoid the large crowd during the game. We have no objections what so ever about the reasoning, in fact we don’t care, they have the right to do whatever they want to do with the property and it none of our business, however, there is something called communication and obviously, Sunrise Briar Forest’s management has failed to performed that, and eventually my wife and I had to pay the price for that.I spent good 30 minutes talking to the agent on site and not even an apology was made!!!!We have lived here for a year and a half and last week I was discussing with my wife to extend the leasing contract for another term, but after what had happened last evening, it is certain that we are not willing to do business with Sunrise Briar Forest any more.
Not a nice place any more. Management office is rude. Before, its extremely nice and professional when Angela was working. Recent bad experience: I lived here almost 4 years, use the same remote device for main gates. But when I had problem opening the gate, the office lady kept telling me i broke it. Forget about something like sorry for the inconvenience. Wear and tear can happen after 4 years and all she needed to do was replace it. She first asked me to change the battery, that didnt work - after that, she said i have broken it by dropping it. what?. when did she even see me dropping it? Then she told me i pressed the remote too hardd, so its broken. This bullying is all about charging $20. I dont mind the money here but there is complete lack of customer satisfaction. After recent unrest, i have experienced knock on my door 3 times by some teenagers. I like the place but i really hope i dont need to deal with the management office.6/24/2020 - In response to your reply from management office: I clearly mentioned that it is not about the money ($20) but the way i was treated . but you are still saying we treat everyone same and you have to charge me. who asked you to treat me differently? did I? All I am telling is your on premise management leasing office lady kept telling me that i broke the remote by dropping it, as if she had witnessed it. when i asked if she had witnessed it, she said i pressed the key too hard. wht is this> Cn we at least have someone who would say hey, how are you or sorry for the inconvenience but we have to charge you $20 or how is your day going or Good Morning or Good evening?????????
Hey I’ve been living here for 6 years now, and the property went DOWN tremendously when Stephanie , Angela & Nick left .. The gym equipment is broke. There is never any hand sanitizer or paper towels in there. The tv’s are NEVER on in the gym and in the pool area.. They used to always work and be on.. There are nomore beautiful plants by the lake, the grass is very high and needs to be cut.. They want they rent on time , but we don’t have the amenities.. One day the pool is open , next day it’s closed.. I know Monday it is closed for cleaning, but when I go on a Wednesday it’s closed.. I’m definitely considering moving when my lease is up. Bc I am very disappointed. Then when u call and ask questions either they don’t know or they be lying..
I have lived here for over 4 months now and I love the community. The office staff is amazing. They attend to your needs immediately. The apartment homes are great and worth every dime we pay. Love my home!
Chanel & Destiny were both more than amazing as it’s my first time moving away from home and living alone i had a lot of questions! they made sure to answer ever single one and made me feel so confident and comfortable with my decision to lease
This by far is the worst Luxury apartment complex in Houston. Where do I start. The roaches! I have never had a roach problem within my 6 years of renting apartments. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE. The maintenance staff is slow to respond. I waited 2 weeks for an air filter to be changed. The management harasses residents while using the pool area, and cant even keep trash off of the property. Parking is horrible. They allow people to dump beds and unwanted furniture in the trash area LUXURY LIVING. Ha! The assistant manager never has any answers and takes days to respond because the manager is sooo busy but if I walk by the office I can clearly see him in his office doing absolutely nothing. If i could give them a 0 I would. The rental criteria is little to none here. If you have time to go down the street and get a money order today they will move you in it seems like.
Destiny and Chanel were so helpful made the application and moving process so simple for me. And worked with me even though I was a difficult applicant. The property is beautiful. And so is my unit
Monica, Jackie, and Lindsey have no idea what customer service is about with tenants and forget that they work where they deal with peoples livelihood. I understand its a business and they have to enforce policy but when they exaggerate policy or ignore it, thats when I have a problem. They do come off racist towards anyone of color but thats just my opinion. They are very unresponsive to maintenance issues or anything in general that deals with your apartment. If you call to speak to Monica, she always never available and never returns a phone call. The property itself is nice, but everyone in the office is HORRIBLE. All this is not circumstantial but I have proof of their wrong doings and I am taking action. Little does this staff realize that we as tenants or former tenants have rights that they cant violate for any reason!

I have been a resident to the complex for six months and have to admit this is by far the best place I have lived. The office staff & maintenance are the best in the planet. Always happy, attentive & ready to solve any issues. They host great community events that actually brings the community together to have fun. A++ school zones. I’m not leaving my great view.

Living in sunrise Briar Forest is an exceptional experience. The administrative team, the maintenance personnel and the security are the best. All the equipments in the apartments are new and luxurious, the social areas are beautiful and clean all the time. I invite anyone who wants to live in a privileged area of Houston, the energy corridor, to visit this great community and live this experience with us. .
This place has to be one of the nicest apartment complexes I have ever been to! So well managed and beautifully kept. It looks more like a resort than apartments! Management team is super friendly and are always there to answer questions! Highly recommend this place!
I moved in to my apartment here in October 2016. In that time any kind of issue I have had has been addressed immediately. The manager and entire staff including all maintenance are always very professional. Glad to call this place home. Love the pool area.
The Customer service its has always been Exceptional, from the time i was apartment hunting untill today that i reside here the Manager Angela was always friendly and always willing to answer any questions and will take the time to make sure you are happy with living here. amenities are the best and the Apartments are modern with great quality materials.
I’ve lived at Sunrise Briar Forest for 4 years. I love this residence. It’s a luxury apartment complex. The management team has the best personalities. Good sweet loving people! I’m so glad I found this property. They’re my family! I love these guys! It’s my home.
I stayed at Sunrise for over a year. The apartments are not bad, management is ok. They try to help but in most cases their corporate management has the final. I had mixed experiences with the apartment management but the experience after moving out was horrible and that is what I have described below.I moved out on December 30th 2017. I visited the apt office a couple of times and called them atleast 2-3 times after moving out in order to get the final account statement so I can pay it. Everytime I got the same answer - the final bill takes a few weeks to generate and we will email you once we have it. I finally got the email on Feb 10 2018 with the final account statement, saying that it will be sent to collections if the bill is not paid by Feb 15 2018. That was still ok since I was planning to stop by the office and make the payment before then. But then I get a call on Feb 13th from the collections agency threatening to report the unpaid bill on my credit history. I had no choice but to pay it over the phone right away. Next, I call the apartment management and they say that it was not reported by them but the collections company is linked to their database so they must have pulled it in. That is just bad practice, how can anyone pull my data from their system without their consent or knowledge. I am very disappointed by the fact that no one is ready to take responsibility in this case.My recommendation - STAY AWAY from this place if you want to have peace of mind.
Terrible. This is coming from a visitor perspective. My fathers car got towed. No warning about signing in or about the 10pm curfew for visitors. It was lucky he even got a spot in the first place with how crowded parking gets towards the end of the day. They took the car from there to Katy causing him to have to come home and get his title for them to release it from the tow yard. Causing to pay an unnecessary fee of $300 to get his car. He was there maybe 2-3 hours at most. This a horrible place to live if you expect to have 1 or 2 visitors that have their own cars. Just a terrible experience overall.
Dont be fooled by the new look. You will have the worst managed apartment experience. You will never experience any politeness.You will have bugs, mosquiitos in your unit. Noisy neighbors. Noisy water fall between 7am to 10pm. Hard to find a parking if you coem after 7pm. You will be up with landcaping people. Some of your crazy neighbors will be motorcycling in the parking lot. Never consider this place... No one renews their lease if they dont have to.
I am very thankful to Mosaic, that finally they hired a best personal i ever saw here. I appreciate mr Lakon, for everything he do for the residents. He is really care about the people! Always here for us. And ms Chanel is very nice too. Thank you guys for being such professional and thoughtful!
I’m doing my homework in where should I lease. The guy on the office is very nice. Pool is very pretty but it is small for the size of the community. The amenities are ok like two stars. The apartment is very nice and big. The price is low.

Ive lived there six years, when they were Sunrise Briar Forest. When Halcyon took over. They brought with them a new set of management and in a very good way. Lakin is by far the best one yet... Ive seen them come and go but none as kind and caring as Lakin.. Hes a genuine soul and is upfront and transparent. He goes the extra mile and goes above and beyond to help his tenants. I cant say enough about him, just that I wish there were more like him...
Burglary is a every day thing here. There are many of my known who have experienced break ins. Not at all a safe community . Randoms are allowed inside the community and they are continuously trying to peek inside the apartment. Dont ever purchase or try to rent out these units not at all safe. Sometime it seems like the realtor is in support of these kinds of things and thats why they dont take any action against it.
I have lived here for two months now and I am very happy.The community is pretty quite and Angela at the front office is always friendly and helpful! I have a two bedroom and the floor plan is perfect! This place is a hidden gem.

Office staff at this location racist as hell and evil. My elderly mother lives here and every time I came to visit , I got questioned by office as to why I was on the property . I understand you want to keep a certain image but they take it too far . The property manager is the worse of all never met anyone more spiteful, treat my mom like garbage . I implore you , stay away from this apartment .
Worst decision ever was moving here. No security, rude and loud neighbors, people park and slam there car doors into yours as well as backup and run into you and put dents. Maintenance and the front office is no good help, and dont keep to their promises. When I moved in a/c broke washer broke sloppy paint job showers dirty, etc. will not be renewing my lease. Elan Briar Forest is the place to be not here, thought I was moving to a top notch property from Elan to Sunrise-bad mistake
The leasing manager ANGELA HENRY is by far the definition of GREAT customer service. Her promptness and attention to detail is one to be imitated and duplicated. If you want a stunning place to call home and a leasing office/staff that seems to truly care, Sunrise Briar Forest is the place to be.
I randomly stopped by while in the area and requested a tour of a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment and it was the most awkward encounter ever. I was greeted by an older gentleman who asked me to fill out a sheet with a bunch of questions ( fine) he then asked for my ID (fine). He proceeded to put my ID in his desk drawer (fine) he then used his personal phone and snuck a picture of my ID (not fine). I still went through with the tour and he followed close behind me and turned off every switch that I had turned on. I immediately lost interest, he also asked a ton of invasive questions, even asking a second time when I gave vague answers and made me feel VERY uncomfortable. When we got back to his desk I asked him to delete the photo he took of my ID, he was startled pulled out his phone and pretended to delete it but upon putting it back in his pocket I could still see my picture. I feel violated and For these reasons listed above I will not dare rent here I also would advise women not to tour alone. Also for it to be a “luxury apartment” it’s very basic and you can save at another property in the area.

I absolutely love living here! I moved in October of 2018, and this is the best apts I have lived in. The staff is very helpful and professional. The grounds are clean and well maintained. i love the fact the complex has a lot of social events . All of the neughbors are cool. Im so glad i mioved here

The apartments have a bad spider problem. When telling management the guy tried to makeIt seem like I moved the spiders there when I moved in. I Was curious and asked my neighbor and he has the same problem. Apartments are too expensive and nice to have bug problems.

Don’t move here!!! All 4 of my tires were stolen off my car there are no security cameras or ways for management to help or assess this issue. It’s happened numerous times here to other residents as well cost me a fortune and I dont feel safe at all!!
I moved here after Hurricane Harvey and have been very happy with the apartments, amenities and the staff. Only issue we had was with a noisy neighbor but once it was reported to the staff, they were great in helping with the matter!

Every weekend resident and non resident have party at swim pool. they have party time until over midnight..there is a lot of noise and bright lights coming into bedroom.office staff must be control resident behavior and punctuality.
So ive been living here for about 5months IM IN LOVE WITH THIS PACE! The community everything. Just a little tiny cons. it would be nice to shut the fountains earlier at 7 o 8max the constant water splashing sound it gets really annoying, my windows and balcony have to be close all the time to be in peaceful silence. DONT GET ME WRONG I LOVE THE FOUNTAINS!!! But i think there is no need to let them on the whole evening hours!
We have moved 6 months back from Elan Briar forest (stayed there for 2 years) to Sunrise..and our experience with staff and maintenance is AWESOME...apartment itself is very beautiful with outstanding lake view ..very clean and safe...very caring, cheerful and very helpful Management..
Please dont try moving in this apartment can wait for my lease to expire. Everyday one problem

I must say that this complex was great until this new administration, it has declined a lot, for example: there is a person who has a mechanical workshop in his garage which, in addition to taking away value from the property, represents a danger to the community because we dont know who are his clients, plus the man has several parked cars that he is repairing, spending days and days there, which means that the rest of the tenants cannot park near our apartments. Furthermore, this will create anarchy because if he can set up a mechanical workshop, the rest of us can also set up one, or any other business, because we pay our rents daily (this explanation was given by the current manager).In addition, regarding the issue of parking, even when they sent us an email that the towing service would be active for May, this has not been the case and this continues to result in more than two cars per apartment, generating chaos when parking; There is constant disorder, shouting, loud music in the pool area until late into the night.Halcyon West has gone from being a good place to live to becoming a complex where apathy, disorder, anarchy and neglect of all areas reign.
Terrible place, people who are despotic to talk to, they want to charge you whoever they want, they give you the apartments in bad condition, then they want to charge you everything
I love apartments. When something is damaged in the apartment we have quick and efficient maintenance. The facilities are always clean and with the best service.Stefanie, Angela and Nick give you the best advice when filling out the application. They are very kind and receptive people.
The place is really very good. But the security is too bad, there are constantly thefts of vehicle tires and personal belongings inside the vehicles. in addition to the day-to-day worries. When you move here you will have a new one, which is to keep an eye on your vehicle to prevent something from being stolen. 2 days ago my wife was one of the many people harmed in this place. Apart from having the responsibility of paying for our personal belongings, we now have to pay a deductible to be able to recover the tires from the insurance. We went to talk to the leasing company and their response was that we must take care of our cars. So if you dont have a car, it is the perfect place to move, but if you have one, worry and prepare for extra expenses in your life.
Very good location and excellent place, but there has been tire theft, and they should install security cameras or night security. Recently my daughters 4 tires were stolen.
On this property they are stealing and there is a lot of car vandalism, the administration does nothing and ignores the residents concerns. Crime is gaining ground.

Since I havent seen any of those apartments, I moved to another one of that quality but the attention and cleanliness is not the same. I want to live in those apartments again. I Love
