I cant say enough great things about the maintenance team at Duo West Champion! Thad Hollis and his crew go above and beyond to ensure everything is taken care of promptly and professionally. Anytime Ive had a request, theyve responded quickly and with a great attitude. Thads leadership is evident in the teams efficiency and dedication to keeping the community in top shape. Its refreshing to have a maintenance team that truly cares about residents. Highly recommend their service!

I love living here, I love the staff & this is a really great apartment complex. i had two request for maintenance to come and each time it was taken care of very quickly. I love how well managed this place really is. Their customer service is top tier.

They showed us the property, and everything about it was just great—lovely atmosphere, amazing service, and a genuine sense of care.This is definitely a place I’ll keep checking back with to see if something becomes available when it’s time for us to transition. I would not move to this apartment complex they are very unprofessional. I have paid them my money and have showed proof that I have paid with receipts from my money orders from the post office they keep adding fees that I do not owe. And everytime you go up to the office none of the staff is of any help. Definitely do not recommend living here.

Ms. Jeri gave my family and I a tour around the complex, a few weeks ago. Ms. Jeri, made my family and I comfortable and answered any questions that we had. The complex was well kept & quiet. The two apartments that we toured were beautiful and spacious. As I continue my apartment search, just know Duo West is at the top of my list. Thank you again Ms. Jeri for everything!

These apartments are well taken care of and any service requests are handled within a timely manner. the staff does a good job ensuring things get taken care of the right way and not just rushing through it.

Ms. Jeri Robinson, was so genuinely professional and literally toured the entire complex I was so happy and felt like this was my home. I really love ❤️ Cortland properties. The grounds and the apartments are very very nice and I’m glad to have found my new home.

When this property was managed by Cortland, I loved living here. However, since the new owners took over, the complex has really gone downhill and now resembles a neglected area. I’ve tried contacting the leasing office several times, but they never answer the phone. When I went there in person, I found out the phone was ringing, but they had the ringer turned off. The grass is growing tall, and it’s like no one cares that people live here. I really feel like we should renegotiate our rent out here because it’s no longer luxury.-Update: I understand that the complex went through a big transition, and that adjustments can take time. Since the new management reached out, they’ve made significant improvements to the community. Our resident portal is back up, allowing us to communicate more easily, and the property is looking beautiful again. A special thanks to Ms. Jeri for ensuring my smooth transition to a new unit and for her warm, friendly assistance throughout the process.

I noticed there are a lot of great reviews, however DO NOT BELIEVE THE HYPE. The community has been going down since the new owners took over in late 2024. Maintenance does not respond/resolve orders, trash valet is inconsistent, dumpsters are over run with trash, and if this continues the nice upgrades these apartments had will be trash too. Definitely not giving the luxury experience we were looking for.

Convinced all of the positive reviews are from BEFORE the management change and/or they’re convincing people who take tours to write positive reviews. My 3 year experience with cortland has no complaints but the very moment it changed to duo in October it’s been a downhill spiral. Nobody picks up the phones and half the time the office is closed during office hours. Landscaping and upkeep is far from consistent. The portal goes down to post rent out communicate with agents so you’re left in limbo trying to post rent if you’re out of town. Definitely a change in the type of residents moving in. Service request used to be fulfilled before the end of the day at times now you go weeks and they mark it complete without even coming by. The list goes on. I will say that if you can get a hold of the ladies in the office they are very nice and accommodating to the best of their abilities. They get 5 stars but the management and complex get 1 star.I loved living here but I do not think my lease will be renewed and I will be staying away from all greystar communities.

Been living here for two years and everything has been lovely with no complaints…with CORTLAND. ALL OF THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FROM CORTLAND. That all changed when Duo took over the property. Not only do the people in the office not know anything and are no help, the property is filthy. Trash overrunning bins and on the ground. Duck and dog poop everywhere. We use to have the trash people come everyday, now it’s some random guy with a forklift who only takes one at a time. Maintenance was always came the day our request was put in, now it’s a miracle if they even come. Absolute downgrade. Neighbors are also very rowdy now, expect loud cussing in the parking lot now. For the same amount of money too btw.EDIT: we saw VULTURES by the trash bin meaning there is something DECAYING. Glad to be moving!Cortland gave us a great experience for two years and Duo came and destroyed it. Get your stuff together Duo, you’re ruining a beautiful property with your lack of cleanliness and professionalism. We will be moving this month. Thank you!

THE COMPLEX AND THE PEOPLE LIVING THERE NEED TO DO BETTER. Do not live here. Its horrible.Yeah, the tour is nice and theyre friendly at first, but thats how they get you. You think itll be great because your tour was so nice. After you move-in, youll realize how much it sucks. Thats how they got me too. The complex used to be called Champions West Champions and is now called Duo West Champions. Just know that all these great reviews are from old management or people who havent lived here at all.I promised I would receive a move-in referral bonus, but despite contacting management regarding the bonus, we still have not received it after 4 months.Maintenance will also enter your home without your permission. I specifically marked they are not allowed to come inside without permission. I was in the shower and the maintenance guy proceeded to unlock my door and walk around my unit. When I asked the man to leave, he got angry saying he was so busy and demanded that he fix the issues now or he will never come back to my unit. After contacting the front desk about the issue, they said that it was my fault for not specifying that they could not come in (I DID SPECIFY OVER EMAIL AND ON THE PORTAL).When Maintenance finally came back to work on issues in the apartment (MANY ISSUES like broken weather strips, peeling floors, broken outlets, non-functional blinds, etc.), I was told that they refuse to fix it because its its fine. Its not fine.There is poop EVERYWHERE. People leave their dog poop on the sidewalks and grass. Barely anyone picks it up. Theres a lot of ducks in the complex who poop in your balconies and the side walks as well. You cant walk around without stepping on poop. The ducks are constantly eating trash so its basically puddles of diarrhea on the sidewalks. Theres also vomit in the grass and sidewalks on the weekends that doesnt go away until it rains.People who live in the complex are reckless drivers. Theres just dead ducks in the complex because people keep running them over.There is also trash overflowing all over the street all the time. Management leaves it on the floor to build up and just cleans it up once a week. You have to actively avoid the trash with your car because its thrown in the middle of the street. With trash everywhere, ducks and VULTURES eat all the trash and spread it around even more. Its hard to walk your dog without being super aware of chicken bones, bread, and other rotten food thrown on the ground.Everyone is also posting on the resident portal that theres an ongoing issue about stolen packages from their balconies, front door, and the package room (parcel pending).There is also a lot of children in the neighborhood who run up to random units, bang on the doors in the middle of the night, and run away laughing.The treadmill has been broken since I moved in and has never been fixed.In conclusion, they dont care about you after you move in. They dont care about sanitation, safety, or any of your other concerns. Good luck having your issues addressed. Contacting via phone, email, or portal doesnt do anything. Going in person is your best bet, but I get brushed off every time. Theres no point.

Had a conversation with the propertys assistant manager, Veronica, and she did an amazing job explaining the leasing process. Also, walked me through the amenities offered by the property and great features, such as walking trails and dog park. Definitely made me feel at home and I look forward to moving in.

Current resident post since my post are not being allowed onto the community page.Building 17 phase 2 parking lot closed for anticipated 45 days per management for construction materials to repair buildings around the property. 12 spots have been removed to hold unknown construction materials next to our building. No notice was given and still no correspondence has been sent out. I had to email them last night to get this information.We had to walk from the pool across the street in 30 degree weather to get home last night. No parking available anywhere in our gated section.So if you don’t have parking or wondering what the caution tape is for, that’s what’s going on.

Hands down, one of the most genuine apartment tours I’ve had. Jeri was so welcoming and helpful. Outside of this apartment having a good amount of the things I’m in the market for, Jeri is the magnet. Thank you for this experience.

I’ve had a fantastic experience living at Duo West Champions. The staff is incredibly friendly and responsive, always going above and beyond to help residents. The amenities are top-notch, especially the gym I love the bikes . The location is convenient, with easy access to 1960 and the mall. My apartment is spacious and well-maintained, making it feel like home. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great living experience!

These apartments use to be wonderful to live in now that Champions no longer owns it things have gone down tremendously. Maintenance dont fix anything but will close your ticket knowing its not fix Champions would fix it right the first time within no time. Forget calling and talking to anyone the phone goes straight to voice-mail everytime and no one is going to return your calls or emails. Its sad as nice as these apartments are new management is just interested in you paying your rent and dont take pride in their reputation that tells you something about how it will never be the same as it once was. I give it one more year before they turn these into government assistance apartments. They went from luxury to the pits in only a matter of months when new management took over I doubt if it gets any better. To the new owner its sad how you allowed these to go down as fast as you did that just says you dont care about your property as long as it put money in your bank account. I would prefer to be known as having luxurious properties anyday instead of having a reputation of what youve turned these into in a matter of months after taking over

If it wasn’t for Mrs Jerri I probably wouldn’t have moved in. She has excellent customer service and I only prefer to deal with her. She is always welcoming and very helpful. The only issue I have is with parking. There is really no where to park due to other residents having guest over or cars that don’t move at all.

I do NOT recommend this place. The security at night doesnt patrol like they say. Gate is broken every other week. They have cameras but I doubt they use them. They changed the name of the place and didnt even let residents know so we can put in work orders or pay our rent. For the amount of money Im paying, I would get better service if I lived closer to Houston. Be careful of where you park and what car you have. My family would come visit me and have their car broken into. When I ask to see the cameras for the police report, they told me that only a manager could have access to that and they arent allowed to bother their manager on the weekends. My roommate and her girlfriend had to get a steering wheel lock cause they were worried about their cars getting stolen. Terrible communication here too. Very difficult to pay when their systems are always down. Say its due Friday but to get a check, you have to wait until Monday, but then its considered late which is BS cause its not your fault. A lot of current residents here are leaving to go to another Cortland. Dont rent here. Go somewhere else.

Jeri Robinson was amazing when I was looking at apartments. This was the most luxurious one at a fantastic price! The gym is free, the pool is free, barbecuing is free, yoga is free (with a trainer at the gym area once a week who is also free), accommodations and a beautiful lobby with a guest kitchen that has water and a coffee machine with multiple options for even hot chocolate. Two gyms and pools, even outdoor gyms too. Glad to have chosen this complex so far to call home with friendly staff

Whether its maintenance requests or general inquiries, they respond quickly and effectively.I appreciate how they genuinely care about residents, often going above and beyond to ensure we feel comfortable and valued. This place has really gone downhill since the new owners have taken over! Please don’t believe the false “5 star” reviews. No one ever answers the phone, maintenance request takes forever to complete, trash valet is inconsistent, and they lie about completing maintenance request. They only make sure things are done when you start complaining and leave terrible remarks/reviews. Residents shouldn’t have to do that in order to have things done. The new company sucks!!

I’ve been living here since it was Cortland, and I have to say the transition to Duo West Champaians has been smooth and positive. The new manager is incredibly sweet and knowledgeable, always making sure residents are taken care of. The community is well-maintained, and it’s been a great place to live!

Moved in 7days ago to a filthy refrigerator with roaches crawling around in it mold under the kitchen sink stinking up the whole apartment bedroom has no power have to run a extension cord to the living room to watch tv in the bedroom every time I come to this apartment I’m coughing with a headache because of the mold the kitchen is stinky I hate it. Put in 3 work orders since then no response called the office and was promised someone would be here yesterday 3/5/25 of course nobody showed up I hate that I thought this was a great place for my parents it’s definitely not what they expected. Very disappointed in this apartments because I chose these stinky apartments for them. So upset and full of anger and regret and did I mention the roaches even crawling on the stove top while my elderly mom tried to cook her and my dad dinner very disgusting

I’ve been extremely disappointed with this apartment recently. The gate has been broken for weeks, and there are mismatched panels everywhere. The new management is terrible, and to top it off, you can smell cigarette smoke inside the apartment. This place used to be nice, but it’s completely gone downhill. I’m beyond dissatisfied and can’t wait to move out!

This has to be the absolute worst apartment complex. You can’t contact the office for anything by call, voicemail, or community portal message. All reviews are from people that haven’t actually lived on property. They’re in for a rude awakening. Thefts in complex now are at an all time high. Trash cans are full to the point it spills into the parking lot. I’ve even noticed mice in stairwells late at night. The most despicable thing of all is the system had a “glitch,” and overcharged on rent and instead of actually taking a look into it the team member in the leasing office made up reasons why it was so high. Don’t rent here. I’m warning you.

I have been living here since 2019 and have loved the people who help us with our concerns. They have been a great help to my family and I. And am so thankful for them. We love the amenities and everything in these apartments I would totally recommend. I was unable to reach the office and after I received a notice from the new management with the office phone number and new email address I realized I had been calling the wrong number. I’m so pleased to see all the familiar faces that have been working at the property Mrs Jerry and Julio for so long. I have met the new maintenance man and managers they seem very nice.

I’ve lived here for sometime now and the gym door keeps malfunctioning and not communicating with the app. I’ve seen the security guard get in and out, asked for help to get in the gym, she said she’ll come by and help. She never did and left me outside for 20min. I watched her drive off not caring. I spoke with the complex the first time this happened and they did nothing! This keeps happening.

For the past 2 weeks Ms.Minerva has been helping us with our application,she gave me and my family a tour and showed us the property.She is the best at Duo West, super sweet and helpful definitely goes out of her to help new residents!

What they show you versus the apartment you actually get is completely differentWhen you put a maintenance request, it doesn’t go to the right number and it takes him about five business days for them to respond to you.They consider themselves a luxury apartment, but don’t meet the standards

I have to wonder why this apartment complex even bothers having a contact number. Calling is a complete exercise in futility; no one ever answers, regardless of the time of day. Even when you leave a message, don’t expect a call back—because it simply doesn’t happen. The listed office hours seem irrelevant since it feels impossible to reach anyone during those times. This level of unresponsiveness is not just inconvenient; it’s genuinely frustrating.

Loving to live here! Nice environment and nice leasing crew. I already renew lease for 4 times, proudly call it is my home and be grateful everyday. You will feel welcome here. Great locations, nice layouts, safety place, beautiful views from anywhere. Service and maintenance team are great, always get the job done, Mr. Alex Santos is a most hardworking man I ever seen, the staffs constantly working on keeping the common areas well maintained. Mellisa and Jenifer are friendly and take a good care of you. Then come a new manager Halima, she is full energetic and very nice. They have information system update for new renovation taking place and message reminder if you have package need to pick up. Wake up in the morning with a view like this. Lovely place, thank you guys for taking care of us, as always.

I’ve been here a couple of years and this company is a complete step down from the previous one and I can’t wait until my lease is up because the amount of money they charge to live here just to be treated substandard should be illegal!!!

Some people are just extremely rude and not made to be in office.. we were just driving by I’m not from here and most apartments don’t mind potential residents stopping by. So we stopped here to ask about a 2bedroom apartment the Hispanic lady was like oh we understaffed you’ll have to come back next week. What answering questions has to do with you being understaffed and not willing to answer any questions when the black lady was laying down LITERALLY FEET UP yall was talking and laughing while the older black lady outside doing a tour. I didn’t ask to see an apartment I didn’t get to ask anything I was immediately cut off. I’m glad God blocked this cus lord knows I would never wanna live somewhere , where people just don’t care about others and very unprofessional. The lady literally looked at me up and down and then proceeded to state lies. You’re understaffed but yall not doing any work either make it make sense.

Avoid this place. It got bought out and things are going downhill. We are paying for reserved parking and just to find out people are parking in our spots and the towing company cant do anything even though we are paying. Cortlands office says their famous phrase “management is unavailable and they will call you as soon as possible” management never reaches out. We have been trying to solve this issue for the past month. Dont fall for the sales pitch.

My experience with Duo west champions was excellent my leasing consultant Mimi answered every question I had and explained everything I needed to know perfectly I couldn’t ask for a better experience I would like to thank her for her patience because I know I can be hard to deal with sometimes I highly recommend her for anyone trying to get an apartment here

I recently went to go tour this apartments and this kind young lady named Veronica was very helpful! She answered all my questions and was very detailed with the tour.

DO NOT MOVE INTO THIS PLACE!!!this morning several cars were found without wheels, including my sons A 2022 CHARGER GT, all four wheels were stolen! It is not possible that in a place where the rent is so expensive, where the maintenance charges increase every moment, they are not able to provide a good security service, while my sons car and that of other neighbors were being stolen, the security guard slept during work hours I made the report with the administration and they did not even pay attention, they deleted my claim from the residents portal and ignore all kinds of messages that I have already sent them.

LIGHTBULBS IN THE OUTDOOR HALLWAY IN BUILDING 12, THIRD FLOOR in front of APTS 1231 - 1234 HAVE BEEN OUT FOR WEEKS!!! There have been numerous calls and maintenance requests made to the new management company to no avail. It is PITCH BLACK when coming home from work after sunset, and you cannot see the keyhole to open the door! THIS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE! My bf has a young daughter who visits often! This is especially concerning being in the midst of the holiday season when armed robberies are rampant. We cannot see out the peephole at night when theres a knock at the door or if someone is waiting in the dark as we walk upstairs. PLEASE FIX THIS AS THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!!

They have alot of theft. I havent even lived here for a year.And already seen houses getting broken into cars being Stolen as well as wheels Off of cars. I also have my truck broken Into and they stole all of tools. They will not help you, there is no cameras and no Guards despite what they tell you.

I don’t recommend this complex ! I have been here for almost 4 years and had a few problems along the way but nothing major until they changed from Cortland to DUO . Since then it’s almost impossible to get in contact with anybody unless you physically walk into the leasing office , there have been bug problems and pest control now only comes once a week so if you have any problems you’re out of luck until that day AND my BRAND NEW car was hit by one of their golf carts while it was PARKED and this happened over a month ago and nobody has paid for my damage which I might add is $6000 . I have just been getting the run around for WEEKS now ! This place has gone extremely down hill from what it once was .

My name is Tracey Bellone and I have had fraud done by a tenant in apartment at 12330 N. Gessner, Houston Texas, 77274. They have opened up an account for utilities in my name with my social security number they are in apartment 1014. I have tried calling you but I got 2 disconnected numbers then a virtual assistant. I dont know who has done this to me can you please respond to this post. I am worried that they rented an apartment at your location under my name. I do not live in Texas have never been to Texas. Per the police department in California where I live i am filing a police report and I will do EVERYTHING IN MY POWER to find these people and have them prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Please get back to me asap as the I have already talk to the utility. You guys may also be getting scammed as well.

I visited Cortland West Champions weekend visit from Ft. Lauderdale in April. After meeting Frida and viewing the property my mind was made up and I decided to relocate to Houston. (I refused to take any other tours :)I have had the most amazing experience from the initial tour, through lease signing, my relocation across state and move in to my new home at Cortland, Frida and team have gone above and beyond to facilitate my transition and are extremely responsive to every question and request and have made us feel so at home.The property is well maintained, newly renovated with modern furnishings and great amenities especially the gym and pool. People are warm and welcoming.My a/c service request in the thick of the heatwave was promptly addressed within 20 mins on a Saturday night by maintenance.I couldnt be happier. Thank you all, especially Frida.Update - 5 months in - settled in and happy and at home. Kim and Frida are the BEST !!!! Thank you ladies so much for all you do.

I recently moved here from New York with my family after visiting my daughter here in July of 2021 and fell in love with her apartment, i was very impressed with the size of the apartment and the amenities so i arrange a tour with the office . Elizabeth was very helpful in finding us the apartment we wanted in the time frame that we wanted to move in.The property is beautifully kept, the amenities are top class, The staff here are very friendly, maintenance issues are taken care of in a timely manner.We have no regret making the big move from New York to Houston. Thanks to Management and team for helping us to make this happen and for making this a safe place for my family to live.

Enjoyed my stay here until Hurricane beryl. I informed maintenance numerous times that my ceiling was leaking every timeit rained. When I finally got a response 3 weeks later mold had already formed on my ceiling. So bad that part of my ceiling fell to my living room floor and the smell of mildew got so bad that I had to stay with family. I ended up moving out a week before my lease was up because I couldnt take it any longer. They sent out a contractor to fix the roof but they didnt do anything about the mold. They now want me to pay pro rated rent for a place that was unlivable. I would of gave this place a much higher rating but I can see now that all they want is money.

Just moved into my new apartment. Ms. Jeri was wonderful in showing me around and helping me get settled in. Apartment is beautiful, modern, clean, and the neighborhood is wonderful and quiet. I definitely made the right choice

My family and I love it here! My kids enjoy spending time at the pool. I enjoy using the gym, its equipped with everything you need for a good workout. If your in need of a place to live I highly recommend this location! All the staff are so nice and helpful. Elizabeth is the best, she doesnt hesitate when we need her assistance!

Neighbors constantly smoked and made our apartment smell like smoke. The smell never leaves. It lingers everywhere. Our carpet smelled horrible even after many cleanings by ourselves and professionals. All the apartments do is send out emails about how it’s a “smoke free community “ but they never actually stop people from smoking. We stayed through half our lease before we had enough of the smell and terminated our lease.

The most awesome tour I have ever had till date with awesome Jeri Robinson! Thanks a lot Jeri we finally ended up leasing and making West Champions our home! Thanks the for the smooth move in! I am looking forward to having nice time here altogether…

I just moved in 12/23 and I LOVE my apartment. The grounds are very clean, the staff at the office (especially Ms.JERI) are so friendly! I have nothing bad to say about the leasing process, everything was streamlined and easy to do. I LOVE it here! Thank you Ms. Jeri for your professionalism and upbeat happy demeanor!

Looking around for a new apartment in Houston and came across this place, went ahead and scheduled a tour and Miss Jeri was such a joy!! Had me cracking up the whole time, and the apartments themselves look beautiful! The residents that we had run into all seemed pretty friendly. Parking is a bit of a free-for-all unless you pay for assigned parking, which depending on your circumstances could be a good thing or a bad thing 🤷🏻‍♀️ Every place is going to have its pros and cons, but overall, the community is beautiful and the amenities seem very nice!! AND they have free coffee/tea/hot chocolate in the leasing office during working hours 😄

I paid my rent on 10/1 with a CASHIERS CHECK and gave it to the lady that sits behind Ms. Jerry and I even had her sign her name on my cashiers check receipt and now My husband and I get THREE emails on 10/8 stating that we are past due on our rent!!! They are so unorganized since DUO took over!!!!

Me and my fiance absolutely love our home at Lighthouse. We moved into a newly renovated 1 bedroom and its beautiful. Kitchen is clean and modern, appliances are all Samsung stainless. LED lighting throughout. Soft close cabinets are a nice touch.Laid back environment here. Everyone we meet is friendly and I have rarely if ever heard any of my neighbors in the near by apartments.The apartment has 2 giant ponds in front of the property and about 100 ducks live there. (They dont make a sound I have no idea how that works). My fiance is still trying to figure out how to make one into a pet.. AnywayStaff here is the real star of the show. Lani was the best agent Ive ever dealt with hands down. Super friendly and eager to help. Just great people to work with. They even keep a fully stocked fridge for guests! (Like 30 different drinks no joke). From the moment you walk in the guest first focus is really apparent.I looked for a new place for a few weeks before I stumbled across this place by chance. But Im glad I did! A+

If I could give this apartment zero stars I would. I went to apply for an apartment and once I submitted the documents they claimed my information was fraudulent. I sent them bank statements proving that the information I sent was in fact legit and they continued to ghost me. My job pays me great, there is no reason for me to lie about my finances. They could have easily called my job to verify, they didn’t do that either. I spoke to my manager and she told me no one called her or the unit asking about me. Don’t believe all these great reviews. Jeri will literally ask you to write a good review and show her proof. Go somewhere else as I did.

I enjoyed the visit on the property! Mrs. Jeri is amazing! She treats you with care and makes sure you know everything about the apartment and move in. I look forward to this being my new home. I would recommend coming by the property it is beautiful!

Hi, my experience here at the West Champion location was absolutely inviting. I met with Ms.Jeri who was superior at what she does. Shes such a knowledgeable person who i really enjoyed her company and can not wait to see her more often once I become a resident there. Clean, quite gorgeous property.

Ive been living here for two years now since moving from out of state and honestly the community is awesome! My unit is beautiful, spacious, and has great lighting. There were some issues when I first moved in but things have been calm and quiet lately.CONS: However, security and parking are my two biggest issues here. Cars are constantly getting stolen or broken into, mine included. There is never any parking. My car was personally towed by the community because I was forced to park in handicapped one night. There are suspicious people coming in and out of the community using the amenities all of the time which doesnt make me feel safe at all. Plus there are additional hidden fees added to the rent every month.Maintenance however is very friendly and great at responding. The amenities are kept up very nicely. Houston weather brings constant power outages to this area. A/c does not always work properly. PEST, PEST, PEST, but they are quick to send pest control. Overall, Ive enjoyed staying in this community. Its near a a lot of retail such as Costco and Willow brook mall. I think its more family friendly community. Btw Miss Jerri is the BEST!

I have been living here for a year and it has been a great one. The location is very safe as the gates are always locked. The maintenance are prompt, if you put a work order in , they’re out within the next 24 hours. I enjoy all of the amenities as well.

I was a resident of Cortland West Champions from 02/14/2022 to 04/06/2023, and loved it! I had some hiccups when I fist moved in regarding trash and roaches (due to my neighbors) but I cant say enough how quick and efficient the response was. Both issues were resolved by Cortland within the first couple of months; they communicated to all residents and offered additional pest control, in addition to their preventative pest control. After that, I had no issues! Elizabeth Figueroa, you are AMAZING! I am incredibly grateful for your patience and willingness to accommodate my needs during the entirety of my stay. Overall the apartment was beautiful, staff were friendly, maintenance workers were quick and thorough and the location was quiet and felt safe.

I am a person that has never placed a review but I felt this place was worth the time… my son will be attending college here in Houston.. we flew in from Vegas on a Tuesday to get him set at a apartment we booked on line. We went to see the place and was mortified to say the least!!!! Looked nothing like the photos… we had his car being shipped and so scrambled to find a new place. We found this place online as well since we knew nothing about this area. The moment we stepped on this property we felt like our son would be safe and comfortable. The apartments are as shown online EXACTLY!!! Not dated photos. The property is clean, modern and super cute!! The amenities are amazing.. both pools are really nice with BBQ grills, gym with modern equipment and trainer if needed. But I have to say the best part of this property is Ms. Jerri!!!! She is so AMAZING!!! She gave us a tour of the property and made us feel so at home… she gave me peace of mind my son would be safe and happy here.. I can go home knowing he is in a great place!!! Thank God for Ms. Jerri… my sons Houston mamma !!!If we could give her 10 stars we would!!!But here is 10 hearts!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

The moment I walked in the door, Elizabeth was smiling and so genuine! She walked me through the process of renting here! Once approved she walked me through every step answered all my questions and was always available for me! This was the smoothest process to get and apt ever! I’m from NY and she made me feel like I definitely made the right choice to move to Houston and move into the Champion community!!! Love it here!! The staff is so nice and wonderful! Jeri and Elizabeth were absolute gems to work with during the application and move in process. I didn’t see the property before move in and I was overwhelmed with joy on move in day. It is beautiful here! Feels more like a resort than an apartment complex and it’s big! Friendly neighbors and lots of nice ducks! Everything is close by and convenient but it’s tucked away enough to be quiet and peaceful.

The consultants are very rude. You have to make direct contact or practically stare to be greeted or asked “how can I help you”. Elizabeth is the only person that shows some empathy at times but other than that, the whole team is awful. I personally do not recommend anyone to live here. It was safe in the beginning but it’s getting worse and unsafe to live by the day. Then any concerns shared with the consultants their just like “oh okay” it gives “what does that have to do with us” energy and that is awful because all of the money we pay and considering all of these kiddy rules that we have to abide by in order to remain a resident is out right ridiculous for us to be treated such way when we have a simple concern. They all need to be re-trained because it seems as if they do not like what they do. Future residents would be very disgusted if they knew what it’s really like living here. Imagine have some one enthusiastic for you to become a resident just to get commission or recognition of successfully securing a unit but then the residents getting treated so poorly months or years down the line like we’re not the ones who have a right to feel safe and satisfied on this property we call “home” absolutely disgusting.

My Tour experience was amazing. Briana was very helpful and informative. She had the answers to all of our questions and definitely made us feel at home from the start. She went above and beyond and toured the whole community. Thank you Briana for your hard work and dedication!!

The apartments are nice. However, almost every other night there is an instance of car theft here. They claim to have security but it makes no difference as our cars are constantly getting broken into and in most cases stolen off the property completely. My neighbors had a garage and thieves were able to get into that as well. THIS PROPERTY IS NOT SAFE. Once you report it to the office they tell us that this is a problem in Houston and there is not much that they can do. If you do move here, be sure to take excessive measures to keep your property safe because management will not.

We moved to Cortland West earlier this year and have had such a positive experience! Frida in the leasing office has been a blessing for us. From the first time we called for info, our application process, moving in, to always being available when we need assistance! Shes very quick when responding and always has a friendly attitude. Honestly the entire staff has been very pleasant! The complex itself for us has been quiet, safe and convenient in location. Not to mention the pool area was awesome during summer! We moved from Cali for work and sadly are being relocated to AZ soon. I would definitely recommend checking out these apartments if your relocating to this area

Nice and quiet, despite its size. The units are well kept, and the grounds are nicely maintained. The pools are stunningly beautiful. The gyms are nicely equipped. There are several cute little retention ponds full of ducks that add kind of a country charm to my morning walks. Management is exceptional; they are hands down the friendliest and most helpful group of apartment management folks I’ve met.

Ms. Jeri was such an amazing tour guide! She really has been a great help with this journey. I will be back to move in soon .

Update, so I this place was great before the new management took over. I made a mistake a moved to the 1st floor. The people above me were burying loud, I called security and the police so many times. The office wouldn’t do anything but tell me to record it and when I did Kimberly says she can’t hear it.Kimberly is a snake and will lie to your face.Pick another place to stay, the may look nice but they are over priced and the hood is taking them over. AND DO NOT TRUST THE MANAGER KIM….she will lie right in your face. I hate I stayed there the 7 years I did.

I viewed this property about a week ago & I AM IN LOVE. I love how up to date & new the appliances are, the pool is so gorgeous, everything is so spacious & please let me brag about Ms.Jeri for a second. Only giving 4 stars so far because I just moved here a little over a month ago and Im still filling the place out. So far, It has been a smooth transition and Office staff has been accommodating, and kind. Elizabeth is such a gem! Kimberly knows her stuff and the Freda, Jennifer, and Ms Geri are a joy to work with! If I’m forgetting anyone, it isn’t intentional. Remember that this is still a business and they have jobs to do regardless. So in reading the reviews remember that it is impossible to please everyone! I feel safe here and happy with the layout of the property and my unit.

I recently moved into Cortland and I cannot say enough good things about this place and the people who make it easy for me to call it home. Moving somewhere new is never easy but Elizabeth has made it such a seamless transition for me. She is truly great! The complex is in the perfect location. Its nice and tucked away but also very close to the highway and just minutes from a lot of establishments. The maintenance is outstanding and the rest of the staff at the front office is also very friendly and accommodating. My apartment has also been renovated as of late and its absolutely stunning. I toured Cortland West Champions today and was completely wowed by the amenities of this beautiful property! Jeri was an amazing consultant, answering all of my many questions as we toured two 2 bedroom floorplans and the property grounds. Her professionalism and high energy are a tribute to the team. The two floorplans I viewed today, Vintage Park and Lakewood, were both very spacious with gorgeous finishes. The property felt very safe and clean and well-cared for.

I loved Ms.Jeri so much, her energy was top tier she was very helpful and determined to find me the right right apartment that fits me and my kid. I love it here at Cortland West champions. When i first decided to move to Texas I looked at one apartment complex and it was Cortland. I reached out via email and the wonderful Elizabeth called me back the next day to help with the process of getting my apartment. I was nervous moving to a new state but she assured me that she would help guide me along the way. I told her exactly what i was looking for as it pertains to style and floor plans I was interested in and wasted no time setting up virtual tours for me to see different units. My move in was flawless I had no issues everything was clean, renovated and the hospitality was amazing. Elizabeth and Kimberly looked out for me and ensure that i was good even weeks and months after moving in. They are so kind and understanding and always aiming to keep the compound to good standards with daily reminders, updates and any changes happening in the community and events. Cortlands facility department is top tier. I have never had and issue that i submitted through a maintenance a request that was not handled same day or early the next day. They care about maintaining good and clean living spaces for their residents. Their garbage disposal system is very good as well you dont have to worry about it sitting out for too long or any fowl odors by the dumpsters. Moving across country my biggest concern was safety and Cortland has shown time and time again that they value residence safety by keeping on track of gate repairs and changing gate codes if necessary. They listen and they care. Six months after moving here Elizabeth was able to help my family move from NYC to Houston finding the perfect apartment style that works well for them. Every member of the staff is well mannered, professional and always eager to help This has been the best apartment experience I have had thus far and I owe it all to these ladies thanks Elizabeth and Kimberly.

A great experience overall and a very excited me looking forward to home.

Each of them had their cons more than pros.Cortland West Champions : became our top winner and now we call it our HOME :)Their leasing agent Ms Jeri Robinson has been such a pleasure to work with since the day when we met her. She elaborated to us all the details of available apartments and answered all our questions. She has been very supportive throughout and extremely helpful. She goes above and beyond to make sure we are comfortable and concern free.We took our time to finalize this apartment, as we wanted to make sure everything falls perfect related to apartment, area safety, neighborhood etc.Ms Jeri was always available for us to help us out right from start and made our transition very easy.I would also like to say that all the ladies in leasing office are very sweet and very helpful. That itself is a big win win for the manager Jeff. Love their staff who are all such pleasant people.APARTMENT : it’s spacious enough, very big living room and dining room; spacious bathroom with extra closet in there; a bedroom that could easily fit in king size bed with lot of extra space left with attached walk in closet (hope it was even bigger since it’s never enough) and front porch area facing the nice green view. I just hope there was more storage area in the apartment itself - though they offer extra storage area for $5 /month outside.Outside area is extremely beautiful with 2 ponds, a lot of ducks there; swimming pool and fitness center that also includes my Peloton bikes :)Parking is good enough if you are back on time or there is plenty of space in the backside. You can also chose garage parking which is extra charge.Overall I would say, if you have to chose apartment in this neighborhood - don’t look beyond.It’s one perfect little home.Also, the moment we entered our apartment - we had cute little welcome sign with our names as a surprise from Jeri.

Jeri was so nice and courteous!! These apartments look amazing, and I cant wait to move here! I had a list but once I saw these I threw it down the drain. They have everything I want and need! The fitness center is state of the art and I love the private balconies!

Beyond the amazing amenities, well kept premises, and beautiful floor plans/appliances— the leasing office is AWESOME.Moving and finding a second home is stressful. But the Cortland employees are extremely genuine, caring, and helpful. Jennifer, Jeri, and Elizabeth are a few of that took care of me and helped me find what was best for me. They’re really personable and go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need. 10/10 recommend!!

I am very pleased with my new apartment at Auto House of Bloomington. The staff, especially Ms. Jeri, have been incredibly helpful and made me feel at home. The amenities and location are also great. I highly recommend this community to anyone looking for a comfortable place to live in Northwest Houston.

As I departed from my living quarters at Cortland West Champions. This was my home for several years. I will definitely miss everyone. This place has the best management team there. I went through several managers at one time. I can say that the Office manager that is there right now is excellence. Her team players are the best as well. I have no complaints. I was always treated like royalty. I give this place a 5 star.

Overall beautiful place to live and loved the experience. We enjoyed the ducks by the pond. It’s the best apartment we’ve lived at so far. The staff is welcoming and nice events are done year round for the community. We would have gone for another year if we weren’t switching to a house.

Jeri is the absolute best, she was so friendly & motivated to help my wife & I find exactly what we were looking for. She made us feel important and cared for. Great, clean modern apartments, we are definitely convinced on this complex based off our experience with Jeri alone, thank you!

My journey to finding the perfect apartment with all the amenities I’ve been looking for has been pretty rough for me. I had a coworker recommend me to check out these new apartments called Cortland which happens to be 10 mins from my job which is perfect! I went to take a look at the property and this wonderful employee, Elizabeth did such an amazing job showing me around, very professional, welcoming and a great listener!! She really made this whole experience go from a 1 to a 10! I’m excited to say I think I found my new home!!

Living at Cortland has been great so far! Jeri was awesome helping me when I was leasing, she was so informative since I was moving from California and didn’t get to see the apartment before I moved in. All the girls in the office are nice and informative. The amenities and services are great. And they always have fun activities for the residents.

Mrs.Jeri was sooo sweet and helpful when we went to tour the apartments. She was such a bright spirit and I enjoyed having her as a guide! Genuinely loved the entire experience.

The apartments were a dream, newly updated and beautiful. I wish I could take Jerry in the leasing office with me. She is a wonderful person and I loved her. Ask for her when you checkout the apartments. I enjoyed the tour, the amenities (the pools & pelotons CMON), and the community but unfortunately the 3/2 wasn’t in my price range. I definitely recommend!

I had a concern about my residence that needed to be addressed. I spoke with Freda and she was extremely nonchalant and did not hear any of my concerns. The cost residents pay to live here, every concern should be heard and addressed. I chose this community because the tour guide Jennifer was amazing. However, once you become a resident, the service and hospitality goes out the window. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received today.

It was awesome! The leasing consultant Melissa Ingeniero five stars in customer service, she was kind, always smiling, her attention was excellent, she perfectly handled the given information! If you want to rent here, just ask for Melissa’s consultant! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have nothing but great things to say about this Apartment Complex! From the start, Melissa, was so sweet and professional while walking me through the app process. I was handed the key on move in day and the office staff welcomed me sharing the excitement alongside with me. I immediately felt at home. I was surpirsed how quickly I had a response when I placed a ticket.. The maintenance personnel were prompt and thorough to assure that it was fixed and I was happy. Glad I made the choice to move here!

My experience so far has been great. Lani is by far the best leasing consultant. She’s been super helpful since my initial visit. Even after , she’s gone out of her way to take care of any issues or concerns. Parking could be better , but overall the complex is great. The newly renovated apartments make the space look bright and fresh!

Dont move to this apartments the rent is so expensive and today in the morning the stole my 4 wheels of my Dodge Charger 2022, they don’t have good security this place is bad. They have a lot of thefts and the managers of this apartment they don’t do nothing about it

I came to know Cortland because some of my colleagues already moved in. Invited by them, I got to see inside of the apartment, and I was really impressed. After consulting with Jeri Robinson regarding the details of leasing, I made up my mind to lease one of the apartments here because she is very patient, nice, and helpful. She answered all my questions and tried her best to give me all the information that I needed. I am looking forward to moving in.

I moved in at the end of June of this year, and absolutely enjoy living here! The amenities are great! The staff is great too, but I Frida is super friendly, professional and always up for a nice conversation. Frida goes above and beyond and made me super happy!!!!! As far as the grounds, they are always kept clean, and well maintained!! So far any maintenance issues we have had, have been addressed in a timely manner and the maintenance guy has been friendly as well as professional. Im glad to call Cortland West Champions home! I just moved into this apartment half a month ago. Everything is great so far. The maintenance team works very fast and the property is pretty nice. And I want to say thank you to Ms.Jeri (hopefully I spelled her name right). She was very helpful and always willing to answer all my questions. I am very happy to work with Ms.Jeri. Make sure you ask for Ms.Jeri whenever you are thinking about getting a new home here. She will help you out and you wont regret your decision.

Ive had my share of bad residential experiences, but that certainly does not apply to this wonderful complex and amazing, cohesive staff. Melissa was one of the most courteous and kindest people Ive ever met, going out of her way for any questions I had and helping provide the best experience possible. Melissa and the staff truly prioritize the residents and everyone else first! I highly recommend checking out these apartments and giving them a call!

Visited today with my wife and completely fell in love with these apartments. Frida was AWESOME! My wife Andrea already reviewed her service on here but I just have to do it myself as well. Staying here since three months. Yesterday we had air conditioning failure and raised ticket at 6.30pm. We did not expect someone to attend to us so late but to my amazement the technician came at 10pm and fixed the broken capacitor. 5 stars to the service!

I recently visited this property and i have nothing but great things to say. Elizabeth showed me around the apartments and she was so lovely and professional. She answered all of my questions and showed me multiple different layouts. The property itself was beautiful and well kept, great location. Edit: The complex has now hired an extra security guard to patrol the pool areas. Things are finally feeling back to normal! I am very happy and impressed with their quick response to fixing this problem. Living in a community where your voices are heard and changes are made is very rare to come by. I’m very happy to call this place home.My wife and I just renewed our lease. We love our apartment. It’s very nice on the inside and the floor plan is perfect for us. I would give this complex a 5-star rating if it was just about the apartment. However, the location and community is a problem. My wife and I hear gunshots almost every night. We are afraid to walk our dogs at night because of this. People have been stealing tires and wheels off of cars inside the complex. I can’t order anything online because half the time it doesn’t get delivered. People from the apartments down the street come here and trash our pools every weekend. We pay almost $2K/month for our apartment here. It’s completely unreasonable to expect to pay for amenities that are unusable due to people trashing it. This community has a lot of potential, but they really need to fix things.

We’ve been living here for a little over a year, we loved it so much we re-did our lease for another 13 months. Have no complaints. Great maintenance service! Great office staff! And a big thanks Melissa ingeniero, she has been such a big help! very quick to respond to our messages when we have questions. If I could give cortland west champions more stars I would. Definitely would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

We have lived at the lighthouse for almost a year now and we love the apartment complex. Management has been responsive to our needs and provided satisfactory remedies to any issues. Especially of note: Jerri is the most pleasant of people to speak with and always makes us smile. Such a wonderful person to have and definitely and asset to the complex.

Ms. Jeri is a TRUE sweetheart!!! I’ve visited manyyyyy apartments including the sister properties as well. The apartments are beautiful! The upkeep is VERY clean! I really felt truly at home. I can’t wait to move here. Everyone is truly informative and sweet (usually I can tell when it’s a front but this wasn’t it trust me) doing my application after this review 🤎🤞🏽Update as of 06/07/2021: Applicant profile was deleted. No communication. If you call they will not pick up and it will go straight to maintenance hotline. I’m waiting to get my $565 deposit back it’s literally been 2 months and some change... communication slacked off before I completed my application.. should’ve took that as a red sign. But once again apartments are nice but I will have to book a flight to do an in person instead of calling for my money.

I called made an appointment for 445 pm with Elizabeth, gave her all the details of what we were looking for. We walked in Elizabeth was with another couple during our apt time, another girl was on the phone with her mask off, and the last girl in the back office was free but wouldnt even acknowledge us. We stood there in the middle of the office awkwardly until the girl on the phone greeted us. I never caught her name but she went over all the same questions I was asked twice prior on the phone. She showed us a 1 bedroom and the 2bed/2bath model. She never cared to tell us what the amenities were or any extra pricing. We had to ask to see everything and go over any extra fees. When I asked how often the carpet was changed she said every 3-5 months which didnt seem accurate. In addition she said the average water bill was an extra 40-50 dollars onto the rent, again, seems quite high for a couple of 2. We were given a peice of paper that had the different unit styles/numbers ( not the actual floor plans). She quoted us prices and the 12 month lease was 200 dollars more expensive a month than 13-15 month lease.The quote only lasted 2 days for the application because prices change daily which is bogus, market price or not. The apartments were spacious and seemed quite nice but I dont think it would be a good fit for us because of the office staff.

First, I’d like to start off with how BEAUTIFUL this apartment complex in. At first it was kind of hard finding the leasing office but once I called the leasing office they immediately assisted me. Ms.Jerri was AMAZING!!! As soon as I walked in she greeted me with her mask on and was so friendly. With this being my first apartment it can be nerve wrecking not knowing what questions to ask but Ms.Jerri really did her job!! She took me on two very detailed tours and answered everything before I could even ask. I can’t wait to move in and stay here. 10/10 recommend !!!

Awesome Company, property and Staff!! The staff at this property make you feel like you are home from the minute you step on the property. Would recommend them over and over again. The apartments are very nice and the amenities are worth every penny.

Great location. Super clean. This place has a picture perfect pool and an excellent gym area. Everything is en pointe. Maintenance is quick and efficient like a well oiled machine. Eleazar the maintenance supervisor knows his stuff and has been extremely helpful. Could not be happier with their response time. Great place to call home.

TERRIBLE security. Ive helped a resident after they got broken into, and, now, even more problems-thank God I didnt end up moving here. LOTS and LOTS of theft here; never ending and I use to love visiting them here. They claim their cameras are robust but they are not whatsoever and simply cant pull up clear footage; makes me think if Cortland staff are involved. They let ANYONE move in and non-residents FLOOD the pool/gym area. THEY HAVE GOT TO BE ON TOP OF THIS AS THEY DO NOT ENFORCE RULES OR SECURITY. Renters looking at this place- BE AWARE. I would not want to live in this knowing Id need to replace my car, tires, and expensive belongings. How in the WORLD are these ratings so high? They have GOT to be fake. Lets not mention the recurring maintenance issues...All in all....SECURITY IS MOST CRUCIAL. Your team NEEDS to update security cameras with THROUGH and clear footage along with onsite security personnel that actually SECURES this property 24 hours. CRIMES RATES ARE HIGH HERE. Come on, now- look at the Precinct.

I absolutely love the staff members. They were helpful with showing the property as well as getting everything signed with moving in. My sister and I worked with Ms. Jeri and Frida. Very nice women.

I have been living in these apartments since 2018 before cortland west champions purchased these apartments in 2020 and I have been so dissatisfied ever since. There have been more intruders in our complex using our amenities especially our pool, to the point one child that didn’t love here was bullying my son and almost got into a fight with the parent. This morning I put in a work order because my refrigerator broke down and while I was at work I called to check on the order and I was told that refrigerator work is not considered an emergency. I said “how, I purchase my food for my children to eat, and they are home starving asking me what can they eat”? When I woke up this morning, the refrigerator was already warm so I told the kids to not eat just in case there’s bacteria in the food. I got to the office at around 12:45 pm after work, and my refrigerator was still not fixed. My food was damaged and like I told them, I dont purchase my food with foodstamps, I pay cash for my food. I am for sure, not renewing my lease and will be contacting Corporate as well as consumer alliance. It’s 3:48 and they just fixed my fridge and its still at 65Degrees. I do not recommended these high priced apartments, you cant even enjoy the amenities.

First off, the Property is Beautiful and very well kept. Secondly, the office staff and the maintenance staff are hands the Best people in the industry. The girls in the office are Amazing, Wonderful, friendly and professional and they take care of any issues I may have within the property. The maintenance guys meet all my maintenance needs in a timely and professional manner. Go check out this property, you will not be let down.

I was having trouble with a car and the maintenance men came over and asked if I needed help. As stubborn as I am, I said no but if I’m still here after 20 min, feel free to come help.Jessie and Carlos gave me my space and I was still there 30 min later and they came and helped me. They were so nice and even went and got a tool I needed to help me on my way.It’s nice to live in such a friendly and helpful place.
