Since I have lived here my experience with leasing manager Miranda has been beyond exceptional. She did my tour and was very friendly, informative, and answered all of my questions. She is always smiling and more than willing to help no matter what’s going on. I had a maintenance delay and she offered all the help she could until the issue was resolved and communicated the whole time. She is very responsive and addresses any problem professionally and in a timely manner. I haven’t had any issues with pests. The halls smell kind of weird sometimes but management has put air fresheners and plug ins to prevent the smell. I believe it’s due to the diverse community, different foods etc.. which is out of their control. My stay here has been great because of Miranda. The units are very nice and comfy. The location is convenient and pretty safe for the most part. The walk for parking is kind of far depending on what side of the complex you stay on. The amenities are nice and the pool area feels like a vacation vibe. Thank you Mezzo team!
I recently had the pleasure of touring a property with Miranda, the leasing manager, and I can’t speak highly enough of the experience. From the moment I arrived, Mirandas warmth and friendliness made me feel welcomed. She was incredibly helpful, taking the time to answer all my questions and providing detailed information about the property and its amenities. The place itself is absolutely fabulous, spacious, and well-maintained. Miranda’s passion for the community really shone through, making the tour not just informative but genuinely enjoyable. I left feeling excited about the possibility of making this my new home. I highly recommend reaching out to Miranda for anyone considering a lease; her dedication and positive attitude truly set her apart!
It’s lucky if the elevators can go a month without not working. There’s never any signs or emails that something is down. Are yall ever going to mark off that fourth spot in front of the gate, again? It’s an accident waiting to happen. There’s no point in calling that number. Complaints don’t do anything. I’ve already made suggestions in my initial comment.——The parking here never gets handled. People are constantly parking in a 4th spot that no longer exists in front of the exit gate. There’s cars constantly parking along the entrance drive that is technically a fire lane (see photo). But no one gets towed. Why aren’t the actual curbs painted red with “Fire Lane No Parking”?? Where are the patrol people and can they not get these cars towed? The red lines need to be made more visible. Like actually on the curb, not just the floor. There needs to be a sign and lines that identity that the exit gate is an exit. And when are the treadmills and fences going to be fixed? Things are falling apart and take forever to get fixed.
Nice location and building, but terrible management. I gave them more stats just because of location only. Maintenance takes days to be completed and you need to run behind them for it. If you go to office for follow up, the way they talk to you is rude and unprofessional. They let you feel that they are making favour for you by the doing the job. It wasnt like this with old management.Printer is inside clubroom, which closes very early, so you will not be able to print out at night. Printer runout of paper and i lost my money for printing during the weekend.Gym is very simple and most of dumbbells are missed! It is very dirtyElevators and gates are always broke. Corridors and elevators smell very bad due to dog waste.
My sister just moved here. They are nice but upon my arrival I seen a car sitting on bricks. Hopefully that doesn’t happen too often. Other than that everything is nice. I was with her with she first toured & the tour guider was very informative & helpful. Her apartment also has a nice view!
Been living here since 2022 never had any issues the apartments are really quite. Miranda and the rest of the front desk staff is always great. Maintenance is always fast at fixing any issues you have in your unit as well.
This is a really good apartment complex. Over the past 6 years I moved many times. This apartment is different and I feel like it is a home. Some important points:- Location close to Medical center, there is a few buses to get to medical center.- This is pest free place.- Maintenance are kind and respectful. They take care of service request in a timely manner (most of the time).- Minimum sound from the neighbors upstairs or the ones we share walls.- A descent sized park for pets.- Parking garage with lots of spaces.I recommend this place to live.
Update: January 2025Someone left a trash bag on the entrance of the building and it was kept there for several days and the rotten smell of the corridor was very noticeable and disgusting. I went to inform the leasing office; however, the response of the employee was I cant do anything for you. Moreover, instead of discussing improvements solutions, she started blaming a group of people who are renting through a third party as they do this practice always!!!! What an unprofessional approach !!!! This is not my business. I am here to present a problem not to hear these unprofessional excuses.Anyway, this is not the first time me and i am expecting many residents to have bad experience from leasing office employees.Nice location, but the management at leasing office are ver bad. Unlike, the previous management when we came for the first time four years ago. One of the staff from leasing office took a picture for the ladies sitting in the clubhouse without taking their permission. We heard some improvement promises from management but nothing happened. If you are coming for medical reasons and looking for social gatherings, this is not a good place at all.
Currently locked out of my apartment due to my key fob randomly not working. I tried calling courtesy patrol and they can’t help. I’ve called the number to the apartment 3 times to get in touch with an emergency maintenance technician. No one has reached back out to me leaving me stranded, late at night. A huge safety issue!! There should be a protocol for this situation if they are going to use electric keys.
Heartbroken to give 1 star as this is truly a great apartment complex. Unfortunately, if one ever runs into a problem, the attitude of leasing office people is beyond terrible. This is the politest way to put it.
Its been 4 weeks now at Mezzo Kirby. Location in the Houston Medical Center is amazing and particularly convenient being right next to both Target and Kroger. The pool, fitness center, clubroom, conference rooms and dog park are incredible. The office staff and maintenance team are all phenomenal. You can tell they really care about their residents and making this a great place to live. We looked at several apartment homes in Houston before choosing Mezzo and so glad we chose here. I can definitely see why everyone says theyre the best apartments in the Med Center!
I have a lot of great things to say about mezzo Kirby med center. The location is wonderful, the staff and maintenance team are all great, and I do feel very safe living here. The amenities are average but good enough for me!
This particular community is something else. Theres a lot of scientists that actually live here and you will find a very like-minded community here because a lot of people here are pursuing medical schools and they have very, very long term goals. If you are looking for a community that wants to learn new things that is more open minded to new medical discoveries, then this is certainly the place for you. I have met more people working for md Anderson, combined with project managers to engineers here than I have in a long time. The thing is, is that the people who choose to rent a place here stated that its very peaceful here because I did a OSHA audit of the apartment complex before I moved in. Prior to the hurricane actually coming to Houston, I did an entire audit with a broker in tow who helped me find this apartment. If anybody needs a good broker, shes definitely your gal. We sent the entire management team entire file of all of the areas that they were in violation of the safety code with the city of Houston. that is probably the reason people are like, we really enjoy living here. Thats because I did an OSHA audit. This is from so many years of working and insurance and going to EHS surveys that I realized that I was not going to sit here and live in an apartment for no matter how long the lease is and sit here and realize that if the hurricane comes ripping through, what would I need? Even though we had a hurricane, there were parts of the grid of the complex that were functioning and there were other parts that were nonfunctioning. This is very true. A lot of the neighbors have stopped me in the home and said its very nice to live here. I know. I told them what I got here, which was the middle of the year. I did an OSHA audit.
The apartments look nice and a perfect area for me 9/10 on that but the office personal 0/10. You want people to rent here and if the current leasing agents are the ones selling the place you would HARDLY EVER get residents. My experience today makes me not want to live here literally. I had to call the office a million times, I drove over here and 2 leasing agents were sitting at the desk unoccupied…. The 2nd time I came a guy helped me schedule a tour for a 1bedroom, nice guy. I come back for the tour 3 days later, this lady (nasty attitude) tells me “you can’t view that”… Were y’all not aware of the 11am tour (that YALL SCHEDULED) for a unit that’s been unfinished all week?? Could y’all not have called to express that the unit isn’t ready to show??? I don’t work here, how TF would I know unless you reached out to tell me. TF, I’m mad as hell honestly because my time and gas was wasted! If I wanted to apply for that unit today and get approved, They would’ve slapped that paint on the walls in 30 mins and said it was ready! Hopefully, my next experience here will give me a better outcome!
If I could leave 0 stars I would! Constant harassment! Trash doesn’t get valet on the weekends (theirs also no trash shoot per floor) so you have to walk your trash every weekend. Parking is HORRIBLE. Dog poop in the halls , different smells from trash sitting over the weekend, gates barely work! Also, maintenance takes 3days to Fufill your request! And we just had a package thief, so packages must be picked up by 10 which is absurd and residents leaving the doors open which was scary! 0/10 for 2k a month.
Update: I’ve had to change from 5 star to 1. This place was amazing but has gone down hill big time.1. it’s suppose to be a non-smoking complex. It’s not. Residents smoke in and around the property at all times.2. There is a resident drug dealer in the 4th floor. Getting off the elevator the smell of marijuana is over powering. I spoken with many of the residents that have also lived here from the beginning and nearly all will tell you about what looks like drug deals going on in front of the leasing office.3. It’s suppose to be a gated community. The gates are always broken because someone has hit it. One month the gate was broken for weeks. They fixed it and the next day some one hit it again4. There is a security officer for nights but cars are always getting broken into and parts stollen from bikes. I recommended maybe they put surveillance camera but they said it was a corporate issue. I’ve notice now security walks around and takes picture of the bike racks periodically.5. Trash has been an issue from the beginning. When there is no reason for it. They have valet trash and trash shoot in each floor. Resident leave piles of trash in the hall at all times. This makes the halls smell like trash. Or they take their trash to the garage and leave it by the elevator. If the do make it to the trash shoot they leave it out side of the door and the ones who actually open the door to place it inside just throw the bags on the floor. They don’t even put it in the shoot. On one holiday weekend last year the trash shoot area was piled to the ceiling with garbage6. The main population of the apartment is unruly college students so the underage drinking and pool parties have gotten out of hand. It’s nice to live in a place where you can have guest and have a party. When police and emergency services have to be called or you have to be concerned about broken glass it’s a problem.I few weeks ago after teenagers (they had balloons saying 19.) had a pool party that they became very drunk and unruly (the police and emergency services were called because a teen was unresponsive). I had to leave the pool area because it became a very uncomfortable experience for me. I spoke to a neighbor the day after and they informed me that they personally witnesses vomit and condoms in the hot tub. The apartment put up unsightly orange construction barrels and cones. I emailed management about it and they stated in an email “The hot tub timer is broken and we are working to get this corrected! Unfortunately, it is against code to allow anyone into the hot tub while this item is broken.”As I’m writing this review two residents have their dogs running around the pool area off leash, one of which was inside the pool swimming with the owner.7. Pet shower station had been broken for a long time now. The entire showering handle is off.. management states in an email “We are aware of the bathing area at the dog park and believe it is an issue with the irrigation system so we have been in contact with our landscapers to get this fixed ASAP”8. 2 of the entrances to the pool area are chained lock. If anything happens at the main entrance we have no escape. It’s unsightly and a major inconvenience for residence that use that as there entrance. Management said “The pool is now open but the back chains are staying until the hot tub is completely fixed, as it helps keep traffic from that area.”9. Roaches in the hallsI’ve been holding of on writing a negative review in hopes that they fix the issues.. but every week it’s gets worse!I would break my lease but it’s cheeper to stay.
An update: I have been living here for over a month now and I still do not enjoy it. First, they didn’t give me the whole true information when I toured the facility. I was told that I would be able to sublease my apt as long as the manager agreed. however the manager said that she would not be able to agree with that as a Greystar employee. I was really irritated.Second I was told that the pool would be closed after 10 PM and the whole community would be quiet after 10. however it happens very often that there will be people in the pool talking and laughing, playing music. Occasionally even pool parties after 10 Pm. This has been really disturbing.Original post from a month ago:I have been really disappointed after moving in last Friday. My first complaint is about the noise because the walls are really thin. I toured the property with Miranda first and the one single thing that I told her was that it‘s really important that my new place is quiet. she told me the whole property is very quiet even if you live close to the streets, which isn’t true. I have heard people complaining about the traffic noise and I’m glad that I didn’t choose an apartment that’s facing the street. however you can hear people talking in the hallway and your neighbors walking upstairs. this is especially disturbing when you are trying to go to sleep. They also didn’t do a good job preparing your home for you. the balcony, windows and dryer were dirty. I was told that they only cleaned the inside. The dishwasher was broken. I don’t feel the appliance are of high-quality anyway. The balcony screen was falling out and one window screen was missing. of course I submitted all these to maintenance and Miranda was helpful trying to address all my concerns, and the maintenance team completed the orders within 48 hours. It’s just frustrating to have to face so many problems when you first moved in.Also, The price changes like crazy. I toured with Miranda on Thursday first but the apartment wasn’t available for showing that day, so I came here on Saturday and Sonja gave me a tour. She also gave me more helpful information about the property. However, when I applied that day the price was $60 more than quoted by Miranda. They didn’t tell me that they could lock the price for 48 hours for me if I saved the quote Thursday night.Another complaint is that I don’t feel there are enough elevators in the property and the elevators are slow. There’s always long wait time for the elevator. t’s also been very annoying that you have to set up your own gas. I moved in on Friday but I wasn’t able to get same day gas setup service so I scheduled it for Monday. however my order kept being pushed back and still no one has come yet. I called Centerpoint energy several times a day and was always told that they would get to my order sometime that day but there was no estimated time of arrival. Its Wednesday already and Im hoping I can get my gas set up tonight. That said, it can just be my experience because I’ve also heard good reviews about the property and some residents have been living here for several years.
I wish we could respond to some of these ridiculous one star 🌟 posts!!! All of these Karens OR Gen Zs complaining about dumb stuff, candy wrappers in the gym floor 🙄 PICK IT UP, YOUR MOM IS NOT AROUND ANYMORE TO DO IT!!!!Someone is parked where they dont suppose to, YOU CAN CLEARLY GO AROUND IT, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN!!!Copier not working and takes my money, BUY ONE!!!!! Management I feel for you, dealing with these people 🙏
Update 8/19/2024: I used to love living here but some of the residents don’t care about living in a clean community. There’s always a random piece of trash in the hallway or in the garage (full bags of trash, cups, plates of food, etc). The leasing agents aren’t the problem. They are really nice and are always responsive. It’s the residents who leave trash in the hallway. It’s disgusting and it makes it hard to live hereJune 2022Im absolutely in love with this complex so far. I was just approved for move in and I must say the customer service has been amazing! Miranda has been super helpful and has been prompt in responding to my emails. If this is the experience with the application process, I can imagine my stay will be even better.
Mezzo Kirby Med Center is the perfect place for me. Very close to MD Anderson, restaurants, grocery, and express ways. Very safe and clean with a nice gym and beautiful pool area. Helpful staff and Miranda in the front office is amazing. Very helpful and knowledgeable and will work with you if you have extenuating circumstances! Highly recommend……..5 Stars!
Literally the worst office employees in whole Houston area. They are not useful or helpful. They don’t smile at all. You cannot even talk to the manager. Obviously she doesn’t like her job.Maintenance people are nice and they know what they are doing. No complaint on them. But the office NOT AT ALL. Not surprisingly they are having many move outs all the time. This could be the worst A class (lol) apartment managed by grey star. Very disappointed.Ps : lol you have no records??!! You just proved my point with your answer. They can easily lie as you can see. My unit number was 344. I moved out 06/11/2024.
The apartment building itself is very well-built and renovated. The insides of the apartments are wonderful, and they do not feel cheaply made. Nevertheless, it suffers from constant issues with cleanliness. The management is made up of a bunch of the most incompetent people I have ever met. They are only friendly until you decide to rent. After that, they don’t care about your issues. The EV charger that I reported multiple times is broken and has not been fixed in the 6 months that I lived there.Even though I signed a timed lease, I needed to extend it against my will, because I did not give them 60 days’ notice. It is in the contract, but it has not been mentioned by the leasing office even once. They will ensure you pay for every little thing with multiple hidden fees.I have rented multiple apartments in various cities in the US, and I have never felt cheated and treated like that. I give it two stars because the quality of the building is quite lovely, but it is hindered by incompetent managers and predatory leasing practices.Avoid at all costs.
Just moved out of my 15 month lease with Mezzo Kirby. I’d for sure recommend this place! Location was very convenient, a few minutes away from NRG stadium, Costco, walking distance from Kroger and Target, right behind a post office and a few minute drive from FedEx, etc. They have a double gate entrance and had a fair amount of guest parking. The resident gate broke just a few times but they got to fixing it ASAP each time and overall felt very safe living there and never saw any car break-ins.I absolutely loved that the staff was always responsive and super helpful. Miranda & Elaina, y’all were the best. My emails were never left unanswered. The latest they’d respond would be within 24 hours, When I had trouble with my packages they went above and beyond to help me find them, they also had a food truck every Thursday for the tenants, the gym and pool was always clean. This was the most organized and nicest staff at an apartment I’ve ever lived at. Y’all will be missed!
I lived in the Mezzo Kirby from 2019 to 2022. It was initially the Millennium Kirby and I had a great experience with the original staff, but at some point during the pandemic the building changed management to the Mezzo. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with this staff, starting with my move-out.Because of my work schedule, I needed to move out of the building on a Sunday. I emailed the administration about a month in advance to inform them of this, and to ensure I would have access to the leasing office to use the dolly for my furniture and to drop off my keys. Tavarus, the Assistant Community Manager, assured me I would be able to move out smoothly that day.The Sunday of my move-out came and, lo and behold, the leasing office was dark and empty. I tried to contact anybody from management to help with my situation, and I eventually received an email informing me that there would be no staff coming in, I would not have access to the dolly, and I would have to leave my keys in the unlocked apartment when I left. The staff would presumably pick up the keys the next day. This was of course endlessly frustrating, and it took hours to move my stuff by hand from apartment to car.I received no word from management until a month later, when I received an email claiming I owed about $1,000 to the building for alleged damage to the hardwood floor requiring repair. This was a totally bogus claim – I had left the apartment with some scuffs on the floor, to be expected with three years of living, but nothing close to significant damage requiring that much money for repair. Also, how could the Mezzo blame me for damage to the apartment when they forced me to leave it unlocked and unattended for twenty-four hours after my move-out? It is my sincerest regret that I didn’t take pictures of the place before I left for proof of no damage, but I never imagined the building I enjoyed for three years would try to take advantage of me like this.I have been trying to dispute this debt for a year and a half now to no avail. Today I gave up and paid it. I at least want the renting community to be wary of the questionable practices I experienced with this management group. I’m glad to be rid of the Mezzo Kirby and I hope I never have to interact with the administration again.
Went to see an apartment, and we were told an appointment was recommended to see anything. The lady sitting there didnt have anyone in there at the time and didnt offer to show us anything or at least offered to see if the next appointment would show, so we walked out. Personally, I think she just wanted to sit behind her desk and not do anything.
Stayed at mezzo kirby for 15 months and had an overall positive experience with communication, support, and resident lifestyle.Via email, staff was prompt and responded within the day regarding issues/questions.Regarding support, we had a disruptive neighbor on the floor above us and management facilitated a peaceful solution between all parties involved. When it came to resident lifestyle, management makes an effort to break up the monotony of everyday living by hosting free seasonal activities, weekly food truck visits on site, and occasional themed gift giving. From initial tour, lease signing, and final day of stay, Miranda was our point of contact. She was consistently communicative and accessible to address our concerns. We got to know Elaina throughout our stay and they both became our preferred points of contact. People come and go from apartments all the time but being acknowledged and recognized by them let us know that we were not to be forgotten after we signed the initial lease. Our apartment experience at Mezzo Kirby was comfortable, easy going, and pleasant. Come for the location, stay for the customer service.
!!!! Beware of any Greystar Managed apartment!!!! They hire the worst kind of employees to work their front office! Especially at Mezzo Kirby. From the pool’s hot tub never ever being heated to the garage gates always being broken or the dog excrement in the halls, it’s not a good move! The apartment itself was fine, however move out was awful! I was charged $5000 in fraudulent damages because Tavarus is just that type of rude, ugly and nasty spirited person! He was upset that I moved out I assume? And told me he was going to put charges on my account if I didn’t stay in the apartment another month, even though my lease ended. It was a threat he made good on. After he told me he wouldn’t take my keys, he did. He probably was the one who “damaged” the floors if that is even the case! I have photos and videos to prove what the apartment looked like when I moved out! I moved out when my lease was up, I didn’t give a 60 day notice to vacate but I did verbally tell Tavarus, as well as sent one NTV via e-mail 45 days out. I was charged for damaged floors which I didn’t damage, other than minor scratches from normal ware and tare. As well as a move-out fee because my “Notice To Vacate” wasn’t submitted 60 days in advance. The front desk agents are sneaky. The rent is too high as it is to deal with such mean spirited employees. I paid over $24,000 to this building in rent. As a thank you, the staff added $5,000 in fees. No one in the entire greystar staff or mezzo staff cares to help, once they’ve added fraudulent charges to your account. Now this bogus fee is on my credit. However, based on previous reviews this is what they (Tavarus) does to the renters when they move out. This is highly illegal and I’ll spend the rest of this year proving this to be such. This is the most disgusting experience I’ve ever had dealing with a “luxury apartment”. I’ve seen roaches as well. Don’t move here, it’s a waste of money, horrible experience and there are far better apartments in the same area! Waste of money and too much stress!
I lived at Mezzo Kirby Med Center for 15 months and I would highly recommend this community to my friends and anyone looking for a safe place with responsible leasing office. The thing I like the most about this community is that they have wood/wood surface vinyl flooring for bedrooms. My apartment is facing the street, but I rarely hear the traffic noise from the street maybe because I have a balcony outside my bedroom, so it is really quite in my opinion. The maintenance team responses really quick, because I will normally get things fixed typically on the next day or within 1-2 days. This community has gated access and there are surveillance cameras in the parking garage, which make me feel safe and secured. This community has an update for gate access, and this makes the entry easier for me, because I can use the phone app to control the main gate and the garage door. The staff of the leasing office are helpful, friendly and responsible. They replied my emails really quick and definitely tried their best to help if they can. Tavarus really cares about this community, and I really like when he sent out emails to remind the pet owners to pick up the waste after their pets relief themselves on the property, or remind people do not put their trash on the floor because there might be leakage and stink the hallway. Personally speaking, the cleanness of the community is really important to me, and he is really responsible, which is much better than those community who dont care at all. I would say the leasing office of this place is the most responsible one that I have ever had.
I moved in over the summer and signed a 6 month lease. Best decision ever after getting my apartment broken into at my old place. They made the transition super easy. The maintenance crew is super quick (within a day) to fix/do whatever your needs are. The front office staff is the best. Kelsey is amazing I might add, she made the process super easy. A good front office staff is important to me. They all care and are the nicest people you will run into. I have had no issues with my apartment and if I was still working in the area I would resign again in a heart beat. I feel safe here as well, which is a big factor to me. I would give this place 6/5 stars if I could. The cost is worth it! Big thanks again to the friendly staff at the Millennium Kirby!
I lived at Mezzo for 13 months and had no issues the entire time I was there. All the leasing staff were very professional and maintenance was prompt. The walls are very thick so I never heard my neighbors and most of the community seemed to be working professionals so very safe. If you work in the medical center the location is also very convenient.
Feel I really lucked out on my first apartment. The property is very well kept and quiet. I can also walk across the street to Kroger without having to deal with awful Houston traffic. The staff are very nice and resolve issues quickly. Miranda was especially awesome throughout my application and move-in process. She even went out of her way to help me after business hours. Super grateful to be living here!
Ive been at Millennium Kirby for over 2 years now and I must say that this complex has been the best I have stayed at over the years. The staff is superb, especially Alexis who has been working there since I came. She is a breath of fresh air and goes above and beyond to help me with any concerns. She even made effort to connect with my mom when she has visited multiple times and she always ask of her. I love the gym (I put it to good use). The grounds are clean and kept secured by manned security. Maintenance is quick and on point. The location is perfect for me as I work in the Medical Center so never worrying about traffic. I could actually go on but I just wanted it to be known that management here is doing a good job. I may have to relocate soon unfortunately but Ive thoroughly enjoyed living here and highly recommend it to anyone, it is worth the price!
Stay away from this place. This place has great location but very terrible management and people in leasing office do not treat people well. I had issue with the smoke detection system in my unit, so i raised a maintenance request. It took 5 weeks to send a technician to check the issue in my unit. I complained many times and every time they close the work order. I visited the leasing office many times and tried to meet the manager, but she refused to meet me twice and claimed that she is in meeting. During these times they took my mobile number, but no one called me. This is very rude and disrespectful. Once i saw the manager alone and i talked to her about my unit issue. She surprised me with her reply that my oven is dirty. I explained to her that this is totally wrong and i showed her that i got the alarm when i was frying egg. Unfortunately, google map doesn’t allow to download videos. You will surprised with the noise i had and my unit and kids got panic. Anyway, after 5 weeks of waiting, they sent a technician who discovered that my units ventilation fan is completely disconnected, which might be a construction fault. I covered the detector with plastic bag and i told office and no one had comment which is shocked me because this against safety. This is very bad experience and I dont advise people especially who came for medical reason to stay in this place.Tye corridors and elevators are always dirty and they smell dogs urine. There are some noisy and aggressive dogs in the campus. We complained but the manager is not interested to hear from us.Go to another place which appreciates the customers.
Let me start off by saying I do enjoy staying at this property. I have had zero issues since moving here over a year ago and the team is great. The amenities are a plus and I noticed that they hired a private security guard to walk the property. Upon renewing, I had some concerns, so I reached out to Natalie who communicated with me quickly and professionally. You guys really are a great team. Now, the reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the ridiculous amount of times that the leasing office must enter your home for “preventative maintenance.” Every month there’s something new that requires them to check your home. Most recently, they need to inspect patios. I have never had management/maintenance staff enter my home at any other property as much as I have here. It’s only March and I have had at least four inspections already. I realize inspections must happen, I just don’t understand why they are so often or not done at the same time.
It has been on my mind for quite some time now, but I finally found a moment to express my gratitude towards Mezzo, the place I now consider my home. I moved in about eight months after relocating and could not imagine a more welcoming and accommodating environment. The staff is genuinely remarkable and always ready to assist with anything. I must mention Tavarus, the Assistant Manager, who has been an absolute lifesaver. He helped me find the perfect living space and has always gone above and beyond for the residents and the property. I saw him vacuuming the hallways just today! If you ever need assistance, Tavarus is the one to ask for. Moreover, the amenities at Mezzo are top-notch, including an incredible gym and a refreshing pool. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable living experience.
Miranda was very polite and very professional. She answered every question I had and was thorough. thank you miranda!!
This apartment complex is amazing! One of the best staff I’ve come across during my apartment search so far! (I’ve viewed about 12 already.) Tavarus and Lindsey are amazing people. Both are considerate, knowledgeable, helpful and have a sense of humor. During both of my tours, the apartment was in great condition. (Yes, I had to view the place twice because I was so sold on the place.) One resident that I encountered during my Tour even raved about the place.Although I did not choose to live at this location, my decision was based solely on square footage. The unit that I was offered was amazing, but it was slightly too small for all of my needs. To be honest, my square footage preference and need for space is not the norm. The average person will find my square footage preference unrealistic. So, I know for a fact that the unit I was offered will get taken off of the market very quickly!(P.S. I stand by my comment 100%! These are great people and a well kept complex.)
I have lived in here for 3 years. It was a great place to live, but everything changed after Grey Star took over and became the management company of this place.Mezzo kirby is the new name.We found some area of the wall and ceiling went moldy and moisture around the AC vents. Obviously that’s something wrong with the AC so that the AC couldn’t bring the humidity down to normal caused the issue. But what they did was not helping, they sent people over only cleaned the wall and ceiling with bleach. When I mentioned there should be more that needs to be cleaned inside of the AC vent, What their response is that they have done everything they could do and any deeper cleaning should be on my own. Finally I have to pay to clean it up by myself to ensure the living condition. And I had to bare the high humidity for the last few months even I turned the bathroom and kitchen vents on all the time and open the window frequently, because they were not able to find and solve the problem of the AC with their own team even if I sent the maintain request many times.I thought the headache should be end until I made it through the move out. Surprise!!! They are changing me for the whole floor replacement because of scratches. We don’t have any pets, it just 2 adults and a baby born last year living in this place. To me, the scratches are just normal wear and tear under regular living-circle activity of 3years leasing. And I only got the message of this charging when I came back to their office asking about the final walkthrough and deposit. No email, no phone call informed me before that. And the only proper explanation for the charging I got are few pictures showing the light scratches on the ground. What a horrible place I lived, what a unreliable team they have, what a ridiculous customer service they provided. This is my terrible experience about this place.
This not safe complex breaks cars and. Stealing tires never rent there and the management is criminal and horrible every one put reviews they answer that he or she didn’t live there never believe them this apt should be removed is not safe at all no trust and. A lot of Arab people speeding in the parking lots also making the waking between apartments smell bad not recommended
I have lived at The Millennium Kirby for almost two years and will be renewing my lease for a third. The apartment is incredibly luxurious, spacious, clean, modern, and has all the amenities I could possibly need. The front office staff (as well as the asst. manager and manager) are just INCREDIBLE. I have lived in many different apartment complexes all over Texas and the service and attention to the residents here at The Millennium Kirby is by far the best that I have ever experienced. I have hardly ever had any maintenance issues, but when I do they come that same day and fix it. They have really cool events with live music, prizes, and FOOD. They always bring different stuff and always find a way to make this apartment complex feel like home for me. My favorite thing about this complex is the location. It is extremely close to the med center, grocery stores, and any restaurant you can think of. They also have multiple guards patrolling the complex (both inside and out) as well as the garage. I have never had a problem with break ins to my car or feeling unsafe here at any time. I have zero complaints about this complex or the staff, they really are incredible!
Lived there for almost three years. Its a decent place to live, but they hit you with a large floor damage fee for no apparent reason when moving out. It happend to both my friend and I for two different units. Be aware of that when considering rent here
Had concerns about my daughter’s rent. Ms Meghan thank you for your patience and answering all my questions. The building is great , and my law school daughter feels safe and comfortable
I have been living at Mezzo Kirby for a year now and have been so pleasantly surprised by how helpful everyone has been. Last year, I was moving during the pandemic and didnt even get to see the place, but Kelsey in the office was so kind and even offered to let my roommate facetime me into her tour of the place. This year, I was choosing an apartment of my own and Lindsey and Merari in the office have made it so easy! Not only did they help me pick a lease and model that was perfect for me, but they were also able to accommodate my requests for the specific floor and view I wanted, all in my budget! The amenities are obviously wonderful. The pool is a peaceful oasis and the clubhouse is the perfect spot to entertain. I cannot say enough about how helpful the staff was during the unfortunate freeze in February, 2021 as well. I am so excited to keep living here!
After living here for two months, my impression of the Mezzo is 5/5. The apartment complex is well maintained and quiet. Any maintenance issues that Ive had were taken care of within 24 hours, most of them done the same day. In the front office, Sonja was awesome helping me get settled in and taking care of any issues that I had.The Mezzo is in a super convenient location for groceries, school, and Med center. As a student in the Med center, what more can I ask for?
My husband and I have been living in this apartment complex for the last 4 years. Since 2019, we have a leak on the ceiling by the sliding door, they basically ignored our request to fix the problem for at least one year. On November 2020 was the first time they actually tried to fix it without success. We have to reach to the management team every time it rains in Houston, because we have to place a bucket in the living room to collect water. Does it make sense? not to me. This is why we look forward to move out of this apartment complex . How much longer until they can actually fix this situation? and if you check their website the rent is not cheap.3/6/21 UPDATE: I want to say thank you to the new management team specially ( Natalie and Melissa) for actually taking action on this situation. We feel like you really listened to us, and our concerns. The management team moved us to a different apartment where we dont have to deal with any problem and actually enjoy our stay! we feel appreciated! They are fixing the leak on the other apartment.
I have lived her for a little over 2 years and my experience has been nothing but positive! The staff are great and very welcoming. The amenities are superb and the common areas are always kept clean. The location is great and never had an issue with flooding during hurricane season! 👍🏾
Put in a situation where I needed to make a decision on an apartment quickly, mezzo on Kirby made my entire application process from tour to talking to details to actually applying a breeze. Miranda, one of their leasing agents, was fantastic at listening to my wants and needs and was able to match me to a floor plan in their building that really fit all of them. Miranda was truly a rockstar in helping me coordinate all the things I needed to do in order to make this quick transition a reality. Just be careful with her, she will shower your dogs in treats!Great experience at a beautiful apartment building with friendly and helpful staff
I’ve lived here for quite some time and I can’t think of a single time where the staff wasn’t responsive. The property manager, Tavarus, is professional and takes the concerns of his tenants very seriously. Friendly and a true master of his craft. This place is made better because of his attention to the concerned of the people that live here.
I got the perfect apartment, for the perfect price. And the location is top tier.Tavaraus in the front office was, and is the absolute best!I normally write my reviews on apartments at least a couple of months after move in, because we all know things can change over time. This place has been consistent and amazing since dat one, and I’ve been here almost a year already.I have to say though, I credit it all to Tavaraus. He’s the best assistant manager I’ve ever had the pleasure to see and I’ve lived in many apartments in the area and the city in general. By far, the best!! Thank you T for all you do!
I want to start off by saying Elaina was so AMAZING! She really took her time to show me everything the property has to offer. Elaina found a unit that’s perfect for me and my move in time frame. The property itself is truly beautiful and clean and smells really good all through the insides of the complex. Thanks to the Elaina I’ll be signing a lease very soon!!! If you’re wanting to move and need an agent ask for Elaina!!!
I absolutely love Mezzo! The amenities, STAFF, layout, maintenance, and the community! I have a one bedroom apartment and it is more than enough space for me. I appreciate the luxury and the convenience of this complex. Please do not be alarmed by other reviews, this is an apartment complex with shared community spaces and rules that are outlined in your lease (Reading is fundamental). Safe to say I will definately be continuing my stay here at Mezzo.
Having stayed at Mezzo Kirby Med for 2 years, it was an easy choice to extend my lease for a further 15 months. The leasing office staff are so friendly and helpful. All the amenities are excellent and the apartments are modern and spacious.
Good apartments , but I am facing noise issues all the time from the people living above my apartment. I complain a lot of times to leasing office, but found no improvements. Moreover, the corridors are dirty. The launch room closes early and we struggle with leasing office to extend the opening time. One of the people working in the leasing office is not nice and once he was shouting on the ladies sitting in the lounge room.I don’t advise living in this place as I think there is poor security in the building.
Living here has been so rewarding! The leasing staff are so pleasant and willing to help. The maintenance team is also amazing, they’re so polite and attentive to the needs of the property. The community is quiet but the residents are friendly.
Horrible management. They said my renters insurance is about to expire so I sent my renewed policy, one of the property manager responded and said Received, thanks..But after some days later, suddenly this Rent Protect Lease Violation Fee $15 was added to my balance. I talked with the property manager who was responded and she said We have not received anything..Worst experience ever.Note: I sent a message to management with a proof that I already sent my renewed copy. They answered I still have to pay the fee. They lost my renewed copy, they forgot to update my policy, and I have to pay fee for their mistakes! What a great job to make more money. Congratulations.Update: The first proof that I made earlier didnt work last time, so I made another proof which is much longer and included many messages I received/sent.After sending the second proof, talking with assistant manager, they finally removed the violation fee away. Ive wasted too much time for this. This should not have happened in the first place.
I recently moved out from the apartment. I lived in Mezzo Kirby (prior Millennium Kirby) for 15 months. The location is perfect for me as it is very close to the Texas Medical Center. Mezzo Kirby has excellent amenity and is very clean. There is more than enough spaces for parking on the same floor of your unit and there is AC in the hallway (make the summer less miserable in Houston). Kelsey in the leasing office is super friendly and helpful. She knows the residents by their names and always responds to any question or concern promptly. Maintenance request is always managed timely and I never encountered any issue. The apartment is across the street from Kroger and very close to Target and Fiesta market. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a high quality apartment.
All of the shared spaces are very nice and upkeep is consistent. The gym is spacious and has all of the essential equipment. The pool and lounge area is comfortable and receives adequate sun in all seasons. The staff is friendly and always willing to help. Great location with round the clock security!
Some cleaning at swimming pool is required, surrounding local facilities are available.
Hands down the best management and leasing team ever. Shout out to the ladies at the front office for taking care of all my needs. I have lived at several different apartments in Houston and this has exceeded them all in every aspect. Location, pricing, general friendliness, and amenities can not be beat!
I have recently moved in and love everything about Mezzo so far! The community is safe and quiet. Lindsey has made the process of moving in so easy and comfortable! I have felt welcomed since the day I toured the complex. Highly recommend living here.
I “toured” this place yesterday and the experience was really nothing at all. I say “toured” because when we arrived we were told that there were no apartments to show. She only showed us a video. I could have watched the video off of the website instead of wasting my time by coming there. We weren’t even shown any amenities. A pool, gym, etc… We were really excited to see this place and the lack of effort for that so called tour was horrible. I do not recommend wasting your time.

I am so happy I chose to live here! The location is great and the building is always clean, quiet and beautiful. The staff goes above and beyond. The pool area has every amenity you could ask for and so does the clubhouse. Plus, the weekly social gatherings hosted by the staff provide a great opportunity to meet your neighbors. I plan to live here for many more years!
Being from out of state, the moving process has been a bit stressful. Melissa had eased all of the stress in the process of finding a new place to call home. She has been extremely helpful and has been amazing great energy the whole time working with her. The complex is absolutely stunning, and offers great amenities... let alone the location. The atmosphere gave off a very resident friendly, fun and professional vibe. I cannot wait to move in and make this home! Melissa, thank you for your help!! Your energy and helpfulness were a big part of why we chose this complex 😊
Went on a tour of the complex this afternoon and was astonished by the outstanding beauty of the unit. The complex itself offers many luxury amenities that anyone would love to partake in. Most importantly, staff was superb. More specifically, Elaina. Great personality, knowledgeable and humorous. Please if you ever need to stop by for a tour, ask for her. 10/10
Management and office team are great! They always have smiles on their faces and are willing to help. I like that there is security overnight that continuously walk the grounds, and that the courtesy officer is level headed and easy to converse with should the need to arise. Amenities at the facility exceed expectations!
First off let me start by saying this place has been nothing but a delight to live at. I have been here since September of 2018 and have enjoyed it ever since. I previously lived at a community just down the street (less than 2 miles away) that was just a nightmare to deal with. I always felt like I had to have my guard up in any situation that dealt with the leasing office. The Millennium Kirby has been nothing but a breath of fresh air! The leasing staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and valued. Kelsey especially has been AMAZING to work with. From the very first time we met and she showed me around the property, I knew she would be a wonderful person to work with. Shes definitely lived up to my first impression of her. She always has such a huge smile on her face and is ready to do anything and everything to make her tenants happy. Alexis is also extremely dedicated and welcoming. She has always greeted me by name even before we were ever officially introduced. I havent had any issues with noise or trash. I am a night shift nurse and have to sleep during the morning-afternoons for work. I have never been woken up because of noise or disturbances. This complex has events almost every other week to show their appreciation for their tenants. Its the little things that truly make this complex what it is!
Update:So the new manager gave me a call asking if there was anything they could do to get me to change my review or take it down. I think it was very fair and a good summary of my experience living there. This was follow by her saying “well the elevator situation was not our fault.” Okay, but it’s still part of the experience of living there?I think the biggest insult was her telling me my comment about not knowing what happened to Torrie or Kelsey was “in poor taste.” Why? They’re like 90%of the reason we signed a lease. Her attitude, attempt to shift blame, and being rude about my review just to get me to change it or take it down... the audacity just made me drop the rating another star. I thought two was pretty fair but if this is how the people running the community now act and speak to people: 1 star. Avoid.Original review:We moved into a larger 2 bed/2 bath Feb 2020 and absolutely loved it when it was Millennium Kirby. We toured with Torrie, who was the apartment manager and Kelsey also really helped us get settled. Of course COVID shut downs went into full effect so we ended up spending a lot of time here. The apartment itself was really great, but it wasnt too long before they were bought out by Greystar and then it seemed like the elevator went out every couple of weeks, which took forever for them to fix. I have no problem using stairs but theres no way to get into the staircase from the first floor on one side of the building, so it means walking to the opposite end of the complex just to get in.Break ins in the garage though thankfully there was nothing in my car to steal.Torrie and Kelsey disappeared without a trace, whether they were canned or quit I dont know, but it seems like thats when everything went south.Wasnt a big fan of the med center area, but if you dont mind it, occasional break ins to cars, and elevators going out constantly, its not terrible. Just not that great for the price youll be paying.
I lived here a few years ago, lol the manager at the time harassed me into removing my review back then. After reading some more recent reviews, I finally have a piece of mind knowing I wasnt going crazy. My apt had mold growing everywhere and was always extremely humid. My bike was stolen and management wouldnt let me share a post to the community. I was involved in a hit and run and management took foreverrrrrr to share the very poor videos with me. Also, they would lie to residents all the time about getting cameras in the parking garage. Lol ZERO stars.
I recently moved in a month ago. The only reason it isnt 5 stars is because at first, I had a few issues with gas connecting and my stove, but both were fixed as fast as possible. The staff has been very professional and nice, and I feel safe and secure in the area. I havent had any noise issues so far. One thing I would recommend is to buy a wagon or dolly because unless you live by the garage, it is a trek to carry groceries back to your apartment.
Great apartment complex. Nice common spaces and apartments themselves are great too. Leasing office staff are excellent. They have a silly gate issue that tries to funnel traffic one way south. Would be worth rethinking it because exiting on to Kirby is just so important and I bet the vast majority of destinations are north of us. That said its been a good year.
UPDATE:Thank you for listening to your residents and changing the gate back to the way it was. The issue is resolved, so I’ll happily give 5 stars. With the change, this is again a great/convenient place to live for anyone who works at the medical center.———————————————Prior review:NOT RECOMMEND if you work at the Med Center! As of yesterday, Mezzo Kirby made the unfortunate decision to massively inconvenience its residents for the foreseeable future. They have permanently blocked the exit onto Kirby Drive, so the only exit is onto a one way street, going away from the medical center/Kroger/Rice Village. This adds a lot of time to the vast majority of commutes, and forces us into unsafe U-turns on Main Street.Management doesn’t seem to care about this inconvenience. I would happily deal with a little bit of gate congestion if it means not adding 10+ minutes to my commute. Many of us have mentioned that this is a huge problem, but so far we’ve only gotten excuses. If this continues, I will be moving to a more convenient location. Really unfortunate that you decided to do this.Additionally, Kroger is directly across the street. In the past it took less than 30 seconds to get to Kroger - very convenient. It now takes me ~10 minutes to get to Kroger.Management, I don’t know why you would make a decision like this. I’m guessing you just haven’t thought it through completely. No one is going to want to renew their leases. This is a huge mistake. There are motor systems available to make a bidirectional gate. I’ve seen them in person and online. Please don’t use that as an excuse. Do the right thing for your resident.I will remove this post if this action is reversed.
Excellent! This is the place to live at in Houston for three reasons:1. The Location - this location is just unbeatable. Just google all the things/restaurants/activities/events near this place yourself if you dont believe me.2. The Building - Very well maintained with an Excellent Maintenance Crew. Always professional!3. The Staff - who will go above and beyond to keep their residents happy. For example, Alexis will personally fan the smoke away from your smoke detector that may be acting up - and then have it fixed promptly. Breonna will go out of her way to help you out with packages that you forget to pick up from the leasing office. These two, in addition to Torrie and Kelsey, will always make sure you have a warm and welcoming environment!Overall, highly recommend this place!
I have had an opportunity to read a review that is appalling to say the least. I have been a resident at the The Millennium Kirby for almost three years. Every staff member, maintenance , manager, and district manager have been phenomenal. I am a business owner and I understand the level of hard work and commitment it takes to manage a property daily. It disturbs me that a lady would post egregious allegations about apartment 452 when I live a few doors down and walk by it every morning to my vehicle. I havent smelt anything, nor have the people I know who live next door. When a person lease ends, they move and maintenance has to come in and make sure that apartment is up to the Millennium Kirby Standard. If you want to sabotage the name of an apartment complex because you want to be a dictator just say that. I speak for a lot of my peers in this community who love the living accommodations, the commute to work, and who value great leadership under Torrie Shelvin and her team. Common sense says that you have to pay to have your gas turned on , utilities switched over, etc. Lets be realistic in our reviews this is becoming unacceptable, just like having someone walk a property at 1:00 am in the morning like a celebrity. IM RENEWING MY LEASE FOR A THIRD YEAR BECAUSE THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS EXCEPTIONAL.
Can we please talk about all the DISGUSTING air filters that Millennium Kirby just removed out of all our apartments? My air filters had not been replaced since 2017. All of my neighbor’s air filters were over a year old too which had caused them to become completely clogged and moldy too.Management had the maintenance staff remove all the air filters without masks or gloves! The air filters that were removed from our apartments were left in the hallways to be discarded by another crew. No one wanted to touch the filters and everyone was grossed out but none of my neighbors dared to ask the front office what was going on. Management then placed notes on everyone’s door and sent our emails promising that they were going to start ordering and replacing the air filters every 3 months. My question is: WHY WASN’T MANAGEMENT ALWAYS ORDERING AND REPLACING THE AIR FILTERS EVERY 3 MONTHS? What prompted the front office to start sending out all these emails about the air filters and the ac? Why do you care about the air now? Did a resident get sick or something? What is going on?
I really wish I could give this property ZERO stars. It is marketed as a luxury property with luxury amenities that are not being offered (not due to covid). The elevator has been broken for 3 weeks for the SECOND time in the span of a few months. I have medical issues and have been forced to walk up multiple flights of stairs for weeks. The property manager offered me the option to walk very far all the way across this huge building to take another elevator. Again, I have health issues. They’re basically saying it isn’t their problem. They have to wait for the company to fix the elevator. But they own the elevator, it’s not working, and it’s a major inconvenience, yet no discount has been offered which shows they don’t care. The secured door has been left open to allow access to the stairwell, which negates the entire secured-access to the property. Anyone can walk in whenever, which is a major concern because criminals often come to steal tires in the parking garage (read other reviews). This has been a terrible experience with a property manager that doesn’t seem capable of handling it.If I signed a lease for an apartment with secured access and an elevator, why am I not getting that?Edit: I was offered a breakfast meal to make up for the 3 weeks of inconvenience, lol.
My son Abel just moved there. The place is super. Miranda from the management is amazing, very helpful, and polite. The location is great. What can I say. I am just overwhelmed. God bless everybody. Kindness is from God. We have to be kind to each other. Praise God.
The staff were unresponsive and pretty rude during the touring and application process. They did not try to make any accommodations and stopped answering my calls after I submitted my application, though they answered my roommates call on the first try. Overall a bad experience and I would not suggest anyone apply to live here
My catalytic converter got stolen out of my truck here. The front office said “well crime happens everywhere”. My wife’s purse and laptop got stolen out of her car. The majority of the time I lived here the on campus staff acted like every resident was a burden to them. Don’t live here even if it is convenient for work. Find somewhere else. I moved out after keeping the place pristine and they charged me about $800.00 for nothing. Stay away
Stay away from this place! And read your contract before signing! We moved here from California and we booked the 2 bedroom apartment online and the rate was at $1700 on displayed on their websites for a period of 15 month contract. Later when we received the contract was stating that our monthly rent is $2300 however the leasing office told us to ignore the amount on the contract and will add discount points which evens out our rent to be $1722 for the period of 15 month, even after confirming with Mellissa(who was the property manager at the time) confirms our rent which I have attached below our conversations. Long story short, We decided to move out of mezzo kirby this year due to the rent increased nearly 40% at $2400/mo and their explanation is the COVID is over so as the deal, renewal notice was received on Feb 24th and our move out date is on May 1st, according to the contract we need to notify the leasing office 60 days prior moving out which left us only 4 days to look for another house. Now, they told us all of our discount point is used so our rent for April is at $2400 + 700 fee cuz we submit our moveout notice on the 5th of March(BTW 700 for 5 days adds up to $4200/mo), so we are obligate to continue rent this place till the May 5th this is just ridiculous!! I know that TX is NOT the best state that protects tenants interests but being freely control rent prices, giving out shady contract with discount points and 60 days move out notices is completely unfair to our tenants!! What a joke! Stay away from this place!
Lovely apartments, the location is perfect for being out and about. Pool area is AWESOME on my visit the front office was providing Brunch to all residents and the assistant manager “Breonna Holland” welcomed me and my family to join her she took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns. I can’t wait 😊 to move in.
I want to give a shout-out to Sonja Medina on the leasing team at Mezzo Kirby Med Center. She took care of my client and walked us through the property and the process of leasing with them. She is very prompt in response and just an overall lovely and friendly person. I would highly recommend their property and seeking out Sonja to help.
I don’t have a chance to live in this apartment but I wanna mention about leasing center. The staffs are really good. I have never seen leasing specialists like Alexis. she has responded me even after office hours. I really enjoyed to visit this apartment.
We moved here from out of state and Loving where we live!! It all started with our first appointment, the leasing office crew made us feel at home. Alexis was very helpful and made us feel at home. It was a easy decision to live here !
The office was friendly and welcoming, they pick up phone calls quickly, and their Moto is all about being ecofriendly. The apartments are amazing! I fell in love with The Millennium at Kirby right away, large spaces, beautiful views, best gym I have seen in an apartment complex yet!!!
We have lived at Millennium Kirby for six months. Overall our 3rd floor apartment is nice! Good appliances (washer/dryer, stove, fridge) and big sink with large island. Nice amenities (gym, pool, clubroom etc). Maintenance is great and comes the next day. Staff nice. A few big issues though-1- With this being an energy efficient apartment complex, there is only so much water heater heat for the apartment, meaning that the water for the showers can only heat up to a high temp if the temp in apartment remains around 65-70 degF and no higher. And vice versa- the apartment can only have a higher heater temperature (72-78 degF) when the water temperature is lukewarm. There is a way to use the water heater valve to switch more heat to water versus more heat to a/c unit but we have to switch the valve regularly in the winter.2- The energy efficient toilets do not have a strong flush, and you often have to flush twice and hold down, to keep a clean toilet!3- The hallways/stairwells dont have good ventilation and cooking or other smells from apartments dont dissipate easily.
I have been in this location temporarily for a few months and I really enjoy the community. Tavarus has been so amazing. His relationship with the residents is 5 star. He is caring and goes out of his way to ensure your needs are met. If you are looking for a convenient location long term or temporary this is a great place to be.
The management and the ladies from the front office are the best! They are very friendly and receptive to any issue that may come up. They also host fun events for the community. The amenities are also very nice. Ive lived here for almost a year now and Im very happy living here.
My mother has been living at Mezzo for about 8 months now. She had to live close to to the medical center because of her treatments. She isn’t to computer savvy but this is what she says “the massage chair they have is so relaxing and I genuinely love the laughs I get every-time I walk through the office with the staff, it makes paying the amount I pay doable and maintenance is always available with my silly work orders” so for that thank you Mezzo Kirby for making my mom stay comfortable through these tough times.
They rebranded as Mezzo from Millenium. I’ll reword so that the management can take my review constructively. These apartments are not maintained properly, certain things seem to not be up to code or seem to be regularly inspected (just a perception). Also their security people seem to be distracted or watching Netflix movies instead of keeping an eye on it’s residents. The gates seem to not be consistently monitored. The residents are indeed are beautiful diverse community of people reflective of the city overall.
As a college educated woman that has lived in many dorms and apartments, this has been by far the worse experience. I would not recommend anyone to live here at Millennium Kirby; no matter how many incentives they throw your way! I moved to M.K. 2 months ago to have a shorter commute to the hospital and I have had non-stop problems since day one. My apartment oven caught fire the second night after pans from a previous tenant were left near the broiler and despite the fact that my place was filled with black smoke, the fire alarms NEVER sounded (and M.K does not have fire extinguishers). The apartment is constantly hot and humid despite having the air conditioner set on 70-72 degrees. Maintenance has been by several times to fix it and nothing changed. After being gone for a week on vacation, I came back to find MOLD growing on my furniture! To name a few other problems such as, the refrigerator, garbage disposal, the shower head, the bathroom sink not working. There is also a lack of cleanliness with people throwing their trash anywhere and causing foul orders in common areas. M.K. is far from a luxury apartment and you will be better off spending your hard-earned money elsewhere!
From the get go, everyone is so friendly. Especially the ladies in the sales office - Torie, Kelsey, Brianna, and Alexis. They all helped throughout my transition here from Miami to be with my fiancé. No easy feat, as I had sent my belongings through mail. Each week they received, handled, and helped my fiancé move 8 to 20 heavy boxes at a time to our apartment. I am so grateful to all of them because they have truly made me feel at home.
I have read a recent review that was left and i am a little taken back. I have always recieved prompt response from both leasing and maintenance and every encounter has been pleasant. It is upsettig that someone would make these comments about the place that we reside. We have lived here and we know the apartmemt is not brand new but you could not tell by the condition we received it. There was a review written this moring about the leasing staff that I feel is incorrect as the staff goes above and beyond to always help everyone here on property. I can comfortably say that no other community will have a staff who treats you as if you are their family. Any issues that arise in our apartment or community are addressed in 24 hours. Some issues that are being complained about are issues that I am most certain occur at other communities as well. This is a great community and I have recommened this community to others and none of us have had a negative experience. I will comtinue to promote The Millennium Kirby.
I’m honestly only still here, and renewed my lease last year because I hate moving.Initially moving here in 2017, this place was 5 stars, I was so excited, and after 2 months it was 3 stars. My excitement waned. I felt duped or just unlucky living here. What I experience(d):- The walls are very thin (I was told they weren’t/wouldn’t be) I hear conversations, music, people walking down the hallway, and the neighbors above me were so loud my light fixtures rattled. I also the dealer who argued/fought some woman next door so that woke me several times day or night.- My car was hit driving towards the actual exit gate.- Air conditioning issues for about 6 months- A/C issues led to hot water issues, my shower has to be turned all the way up first (still, but my norm now), then hot temps can be adjusted.- 4th floor carpet smelled like dog pee/poop for months until they finally replaced or deep cleaned it.- I had rolly polly bugs on my floor and they even made it to my sheets! (They were in season I was told)- Housekeeping is needed on weekends (it’s a lot of filthy people living here, sorry)The positives:- Location, Location- Maintenance staff are really nice-Pool area and hot tub (when working and hot)- I actually do like my apartment, if the walls and floors had better barriers it would be perfect (also minus my a/c and water issues).Hate to leave this review at all and have typed and deleted several times over 2017-2018, but needed to be said.
I love living at Mezzo! It is always clean, the amenities are fantastic, the staff is friendly and responsive, the location is great, and its extremely safe. I expect to be living here for a long time! - From a verified resident on ApartmentRatings
The staff at the mezzo Kirby med center are helpful and supportive! Breonna does a great job keeping tenants up to date with the things that are happening with the property. She offers something that most people don’t, transparency! Kelsey does a great job at touring and creating a unique living experience as a potential, new, and leasing client. They offer competitive pricing & amazing tenant support. I could not ask for a better staff! :)
Pro, apartment are nice, great location, and close to the med center. Cons include digital communication can sound rude and passive. Try to read the message out loud before sending it to your tenants. There is not gate box at the entrance so you have to physically walk to the gate to let your guests into the property..... Very annoying.I had a bad customer service experience calling about ActiveBuilding portal being unavailable to pay rent. I spoke to Breonna Holland over the phone. She told me she only uses the app and that it working fine for her and decided to put me on hold when I told her I dont use the app. While on hold, I downloaded the app to find that it isnt working on the app either. I experienced a sarcastic sarcastic tone over the phone (as if I was lying) and comments about others not calling about issues. It doesnt matter if others havent called with problems. Im having a problem and I called yall for help. I shouldnt have to wait until others complain for yall to resolve the problem.
Millennium Kirby has potential, but even after being open over a year they still cant get simple issues fixed. The leasing staff/management either just smile & say theyll fix it (but dont) or blame it on being new (how long are we going to use that excuse) & still having a rush of new people moving in. I guarantee you if they had to live here & deal with these issues they would understand.1) Trash is a HUGE issue here. The building is very long & there is only one trash chute for entire complex. Valet Trash doesnt run on Fri & Sat & we have lazy, inconsiderate residents that decide to just dump their trash anywhere they want because they dont want to walk to chute. Youll find bags in mailroom & courtyards but main place is right by the door used to enter the hallway to apartment from garage. People pile up trash here on the weekends & it smells & attracts flies/animals. When you bring up they say theyve hired additional porters on the weekends & this will be something they take care of, yet for some reason its never picked up. In fact, I just came home from work & there is a huge pile of trash by the door & its been there since Friday. It wasnt picked up over weekend & it wasnt touched today either. Why wasnt this picked up? Ive never had this issue anywhere else. Its bad to walk into your home & have to look at & smell this trash. Shame on the residents that do this. Why cant they install a camera? Its by the door so it helps with security too. Then people wouldnt dump their trash there.2) Cleanliness is another big issue. I dont know what cleaning company they use but they arent doing their job. The hallways are always dirty & not regularly vacuumed & the tiled areas by the elevators, especially on the first floor, are always discussting. They say hallways are vacuumed once a week & tile is mopped daily but its a lie. The weekends here are not good because if this & trash. Regardless of move ins these areas need deep cleaned & mopped regularly & if they think its being done they need to fire the cleaning company because its not. Residents also let their dogs poop on the carpet & then dont pick it up. The club house is often dirty as are the bathrooms on the first floor by the gym. This is a simple thing to fix & they need to step up & do it.3) As other reviewers mentioned they installed the most idiotic gate. The complex is long so we have a narrow driveway along front of the building. Apparently there were complaints about people driving through there fast & instead of sending an email first & warning residents to stop this, they made the decision to install a gate. They should have thought this out though because a much better solution would have been speed bumps. The gate we all have an issue with is the one right by the leasing office. When it was first put in they tried to tell us that we could only enter property from Kirby & we had to exit onto Main. The residents were all pissed about this because most of us wanted to exit on Kirby so the office decided to leave the gate open during the day & then shut it at night, at which point you have to use a clicker to get in. No one follows the enter only rule & people enter & exit both gates. Its narrow & not designed for this so its going to be a safety issue at some point. Also, if youre putting in a gate to supposedly cut down on people speeding through yet keep the gate open 70% of the time, it kind of defeats the purpose & is just an eye sore now. Biggest issue though is no call box for guests & theres only maybe 12 spots outside of gate & they are always full so you have to walk clear across the complex & go down to your guest & use clicker to get them in gate to park. Come on! How can this be ok to you? REMOVE the gate by the office! It doesnt work & they must know that! I hope someone who cares reads this & fixes the issues. Dont send canned response to please call because you care. Actions speak louder. This place could be great but they need to manage better & be stricter with people who violate rules & trash property.
I hate that I pay $1,300 for rent (increased to $1,682 for a 12 month lease or $2,100 for month-to-month if I don’t renew) for the elevator to CONSISTENTLY BE BROKEN.For a “luxury” apartment I shouldn’t have to worry about the elevator being broken every month. First it was a week broken, then a month, now it’s broken again.I’d pick a luxury apartment complex with working elevators. If I’m paying $1,300/month the elevator closest to me, for my side of the building, should be working.
Mezzo at Kirby is a very quiet community. I haven’t had any issues since moving here and the leasing office staff are polite and always helpful. I have lived in this area for quite some time and in comparison to other communities in the area I would definitely recommend Mezzo.
Mezzo is amazing! The staff is so kind and knowledgable and everything is so well maintained. We are so glad we chose to move here after looking at so many other apartments, Mezzo offers all that we need!
This place has such potential but its poorly managed and not well maintained. Trash becomes a HUGE problem on the weekends and residents just dump their trash all throughout the complex because they dont want to walk to the dumpster when Valet Trash doesnt come. Its also not cleaned very well. The common areas, club house, bathrooms and gym are dirty. And lastly, they installed the stupiedst gate ever that makes no sense and while its meant to just direct traffic one way, no one follows that rule so you have to be careful you dont get hit when pulling in and exiting. This place needs new management.
Mezzo Kirby is one of the nicest buildings in the area. I really like the different apartment options and the amenities are excellent.I think for the price they are renting it´s a great opportunity.
I love living at Millennium Kirby! The staff is so helpful and works really hard to provide extra touches to make residents feel extra special. Convenient, ideal location to get to work. Loving my cozy apartment with high-end finishes!
I visited Houston last week for my cousin’s wedding. I am thinking about relocating and visited Mezzo Kirby. It was such a great community in an ideal location. Tavarus was truly helpful and made sure I knew all I need to know about Mezzo and the area. Once I finalize my job, Mezzo here I come more so Houston here I come!!
Im really considering Houston for my next move and decided to stop in to check out Mezzo. Tavarus was super helpful. He was very familiar with the area which was definitely a plus in my search for a new apartment. I look forward to my next visit.
Incredibly helpful and friendly staff. They know almost every, if not every, resident by name and always address any issues promptly and professionally. Facilities are also great. Would recommend to anyone looking for an apartment close to the medical center.
I had just went yesterday this place just to see the prices for an apartment and how the building is . The leasing agent was not really helpful, kind of rude to me . But was super nice to the person before me. She really brushed me off like I was nothing or could not afford this place (I can ) . Oh well I guess they dont need my little check.
The management is very badThere is racial discriminationThey dont like Arabs at allThere is a man in the administration who is very racist, and he does not like Arabs. He treats Arabs the same way he treats dogs in his possessionI would never recommend this accommodation
The staff in the office was very helpful when leasing my new apartment. Sonja was amazing throughout the process. Would highly recommend this property.
This community does worth living in. They do care about residents and you really feel that their priority is you. Never let you wait for what you need. They even gave us furniture dolly when we moved in to help us though we havent even asked for it.
I absolutely love the property and the team is always responsive and helpful! Tavarus the assistant manager is always pleasant. Thank you for always being willing to go the extra mile for my family!
The power goes out every 2 weeks, every major suburb and apartment complex in the greater houston area uses center pointe energy, yet idk y mezzo power always goes out
Immaculate property! The number one factor for me is the staff. Kelsey made my family and I feel right at home and this had a huge impact on my decision to call Mezzo Kirby my new home. You are getting more than just an apartment you’re getting an actual community.
Mezzo Kirby is located in one of my favorite areas of Houston, the building is very nice, I love the amenities and the staff is very attentive at all times. I highly recommend this property!
The Alexis was wonderful! Everyone in the office is helpful and patient. I love my new apartment plus it’s quiet so I can relax and unwind at the end of the day.!
Amazing apartment complex with caring staff. Just signed back on for 15 months. Special thanks to Kelsey for always being helpful. Also worth mentioning, maintenance team has been nothing short of amazing.
Great property and location. Easy to get to work in the MedCenter and also a short drive to the shops in Rice Village. Clean, modern apartments and common areas. I love the pool!
Nice location and quiet and high class Tennant s
Moved in about two months ago (October 19) - the management team made the process really easy! Kelsey, one of the leasing agents, helped answer all my questions and made sure everything was set on the day of my move.
Quite, secure and comfy place. Feels like home since we are here for treatment.
Living at The Millennium Kirby for the past year and a half has been an overwhelmingly positive experience. Well maintained facilities and really kind and responsive staff. Definitely one of the top locations for the medical center area.
I was there a couple of weeks ago did a tour with Miranda. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will return to make future plans.
Imagine you live in a gated community you still mange to get your car burglarizedOver christmas weekend 8 cars were damaged and broken into by burglars as the management left gate open which allowed burglars access nothings wrong with gate to leave it wide open for 4 days. They damged 8 cars.Called office asking why they lefy door open since the 23rd ?She hang up.phone on.meNot safe complex for your kids or cars.Rude office employees .overpriced small sqaure footage.Hope owner read thhis as.i.asked to talk to him and she hang upMerry Christmas i would be safer parked on the street.Advice agimst living here i ahve to pay damage as insurance didnt want yo do it thanks Millennium kirby for your negligence
Very short stay so dont take my evaluation like long time residents.I like the area its very close to many important places but parking will take your time especially if youre in 4th or 5th floor
It’s May 2021, This is one of the best apartments complex I have lived in. It’s safe, clean and the office is responsive. Unfortunately, I had to terminate my lease, but under the current management, you will never regret living here
We have been living here for about half a year now. So far so good. We really like the location, service, security, and dog park. It is a little bit expensive but we think it worth the money.
Great place to live. Every thing is new and clean. The staffs are friendly and helpful. It is close to grocery store and highways. Highly recommend living at Millennium Kirby.
I have been living here since the property opened and I must say it has been the best community I have lived in. The staff is friendly and the property is well kept. Great place to live!
Good tour, Tavarus was super helpful and explained everything clearly. Would definitely recommend checking it out if looking for somewhere near Houston Med Center.
The best place to live in Houston! The staff, reception and amenities are always in excellent condition. I love living here.
Great community, love the amenities, the full gym, friendly and personable staff and convenience to the Houston Zoo and downtown. Definitely recommend!!!
My experience has been great! When ever I have an issue the management are quick to listen and resolve issues. It’s also great to be so close to places in the area such as NRG.
Great Complex, Friendly Neighbors, and Helpful Staff! The dog park has been an amazing addition to the daily routine as well!
Toured with Miranda and she wasnt very pleasant. Literally cut me off in the middle of asking a question to say hi to a residents dog.
Great location for young upwardly mobile jet setting adults. All of the amenities for singles and young couples.
Staff is extremely nice and attentive. The complex is new and has some growing pains but overall high quality.
I went here on a Wednesday at 6:20 in the evening to look at an apartment when their posted hours show that they close at 7 p.m. There is nobody in the leasing office.
Should get 5 stars but not enough parking for guests
Great staff and associate at thee complex, any issue are resolved usually same day!! Excellent place to live.

Wonderful, part of Houston to live in. Close to everything while being far enough away.
Awesome facilities. Attentive staff. Great apartment.

I’ve been living here for nearly two years, and here’s my honest review:Apartment Appliances – Disappointing Quality:The appliances in the unit are extremely low quality. The washing machine is rusting, the dryer is inefficient, the dishwasher barely cleans even when loaded correctly, and the stove/oven can be unpredictable. The only redeeming factor is the refrigerator—but that’s not saying much. Even my undergraduate student apartment had better appliances.Apartment Unit Quality – Cheap Renovations:The overall quality of the apartment unit itself leaves much to be desired. Some of the floorboards have noticeable gaps especially the boards near the wall, the paint is chipping in multiple areas, and the bathroom feels cheaply made. It’s clear that cost-cutting was prioritized over durability and comfort.Gates & Security – Major Issues:Both the main gate and parking garage gate are so unreliable that it’s almost comical. They seem to require constant maintenance, yet Mezzo hasn’t replaced them with something more reliable. The continued patchwork approach suggests either cost-cutting or simple negligence. They have probably spent more in gate repairs than actual community living.Security is a serious concern. There have been multiple reports of stolen wheels and tires, along with frequent package theft. Mezzo eventually moved all packages to the front office, but their handling of the issue raises serious questions. When they sent an email about the package thief, the attached images were so blurry—and clearly just cellphone photos—that it was obvious their CCTV system is either ineffective or not working at all.Considering the amount of profit they’re making from this place, it’s surprising they haven’t invested in something as basic as night security.Gym – A Missed Opportunity:For an apartment that boasts luxury living, the gym is extremely basic. It feels like they just bought some machines and dumbbells, threw them in the room, and called it a day. With a better layout and just a few more machines, they could have easily made it feel more upscale. Instead, it’s the bare minimum. Worse, it isn’t even maintained properly—the wooden floor area is disgusting, and machines are frequently out of service for extended periods. Why This Place Gets Two StarsThe only two redeeming factors:⭐ Maintenance Response Time – In my experience, maintenance has fixed my issues quickly. However, I’ve spoken with other residents who have waited weeks for simple fixes, so your experience may vary.⭐ Location – The only other positive about living here is the location.Final Thoughts:This place has serious shortcomings that management needs to address. From poor unit quality to unreliable security and failing appliances, it’s clear that Mezzo prioritizes short-term savings over resident satisfaction. Until they invest in meaningful upgrades, it’s hard to justify the cost of living here.Honestly, if youre already willing to spend $2,200+ to live here, you might as well put that money toward a nicer place—and trust me, there are plenty of better options (I’ve looked them up). The only reason I haven’t moved yet is that I’m likely leaving Texas in a year, and frankly, I’m too lazy to deal with the hassle of moving.

A suitable place to live, clean, smart and secure entry. There is a gym and a swimming pool. Clean furniture. Close to the market and the hospital
Comfortable housing with Gulf residents, and its advantages include security higher than others, cleanliness, and the gym is clean and has new equipment.
A clean and elegant place. It has a gym, a swimming pool, a public hall with free coffee, a massage room, parking, and a large supermarket nearby.
The residence is wonderful and spacious, close to services and points of sale, and 5 to 10 minutes away from medical centers. There is parking at the apartment level. There are also elevators and wheelchair access. In general, the accommodation is very suitable
Hello,Greetings from the members and staff of Housing100 Corporate Housing to the management and employees of The Millennium Kirby. We would like to praise and emphasize the competence and professionalism of this administration and their excellence in providing this service and assistance to us, our guests, and residents from all Arab and other regions over the past years and since the beginning of our company’s dealings with this residence.Always and as usual, our visitors’ comments about staying in this complex are thanks for the excellence of this residence in several aspects, including the distinguished location, the apartments that suit the visitors’ desires, and the helpful and professional management. We have not faced any problems over these years, except for the last problem, which was caused by some visitors, and it was dealt with by the housing administration with understanding and in the required manner and the procedure that should have been followed.Special thanks to this distinguished management.
This residence is characterized by security and its location near the Kroger supermarket, a petrol station also nearby, and a CVS pharmacy. The facilities are good and the maintenance service is available and fast. We have not faced any problems, thank God, over the 4 years we have been living in this residence.
Nice residence, more security in this residence
The place is very safe, and there is a security man present all night, and it is clean, and it has a semi-integrated gym, a hot and cold swimming pool, designated parking for residents, and all kinds of hot drinks are free, and every Wednesday there is popcorn, a massage room for relaxation, a lounge with a large screen, refrigerators, and barbecue places near the pool.... One of the best places to live in Houston
May God’s peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you. We inform you that this place is beautiful, but the Sharif has difficulties in learning about the customs and traditions of countries and does not allow us to stay in isolated places such as the hall and it is always locked. We are fasting during Ramadan. We cannot gather except after the Tarawih prayer. This is an opportunity for us. I might ask you to take this into consideration, as we are a shepherd of people like you who always stay up at night and leave the place once at the swimming pool. We don’t talk or anything, but Muslims are bound. Hadeel, do you have this? Please take this into consideration as we sit in this place with money that is not free. Thank you
Mezzo Kirby is the best residential complex in the medical districtDistinctive location, high level of cleanliness, and very high level of securityThe administration is very cooperative with Arab residents and those coming for treatment in the medical areaMezzo Kirby is the best apartment complex in the medical centerVery clean and secure building with a great locationThe management was always nice and helpful
The place is wonderful and the management is very cooperative. We searched for other places in fact, but we did not find anything better than Millennium Kirby, in terms of cleanliness and quick response to any defect that occurs inside the apartment. I advise you to go immediately to this accommodation because it is the best.
The complexs management is very poor and inhospitable. They cause problems and expel inmates. The easiest thing is that they have fines for the most trivial things. I lived there and got out safely from a problem with them to the point that they threaten me with the police and the law.I do not recommend it at all 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Good place to live
New, clean, bright residence about six months ago, close to shops
The security system is very good and the building is clean
