Professional environment, the workers there are very helpful and insightful. The good old days of Royal Coin are long gone. I’ve been coming since 2002, when it was an ideal universal coin shop for a 10 year old beginner collector. I was in town this week, and decided to stop by. In the past, they kept a nice selection of high value foreign banknotes in stock, and I was ready to spend money.1. It has morphed into only gold and bullion - little else. So unfortunate for a once-thriving old-school general coin shop.2. I was not greeted as I entered the door, and immediately noticed a strange dynamic between the three gentlemen working.3. A gentleman with a goatee finally asked me what I wanted, and it felt like I was inconveniencing him by asking to look through the banknote boxes.4. I pilfered through the overpriced banknotes and found one. After that, I was ignored twice by the gentleman. I was waiting to pay (and he knew I was ready to pay), but disappeared into the back room. I had to ask him to accept my payment. Amazing!5. Sunny was talking to a third employee about how he shouldn’t have talked about a sale / made a sale in front of a certain competitor on the showroom floor. That’s not the appropriate place for such counseling.6. Unless you are speculating on bullion (as the owner does on her cutesy Instagram page), avoid this place!

The owner took the time to leave the store, go out to his car and bring back a box of coin cases in excellent condition to save me money I was about to spend in his store. That was really cool. Honest, helpful, and great prices / big selection. Well worth it ! Thank you very much !

Just drove an hour to this store and they literally have hardly anything available. What they did have He wouldnt let me look at because he said people steal. I was standing there with 2k in my hand. I showed it to him and said if you are worried about stealing keep a close eye on the customer. Give them a tray and let them look at what they will purchase. Once he saw the money he wanted to switch and say it was OK for me to look at it. Ill head back to Gold and Silver Traders and US Coins where they at least know how to treat a client.

I had one of my best and easiest online transactions ever with Royal Coin and Jewelry. I made a purchase through their awesome Instagram account, and within minutes of payment confirmation, I was contacted for shipping info and followed by a tracking number another few hours later. I had an issue with the tracking never getting scanned by USPS, and contacted them and they responded within minutes. They assured me their local post office has missed scans before and that the package would arrive just fine. It showed up 2 days later, right on time. Thats how you run a small business; be timely and have great customer service. Im definitely planning future purchases when the budget allows.

I have been to Royal several times. They have ALWAYS been very nice and pleasant to deal with. Went into Royal coins expecting the same low ball purchase offer i had received from other local dealers on some misc. 1 oz silver rounds and a couple 5 oz small silver ingots. Was more than pleasantly surprised to get a decent market offer very close to spot price. Sales staff was professional and polite... things you do not usually find in the coin or precious metals market. Royal coins has the best prices in all of Houston and the BEST customer service!!!!! For example, I went in there asking about there silver prices (after going into 3 other coin stores in Houston) and by far their prices were way better than the other 3 coin stores. My grandma’s friend was looking to sell a lot of her silver, gold, and coins her husband had collected over the years to and these guys went to her home (because she didn’t feel comfortable transporting everything) and spent over 6 hours there to help her get the best price for all her times and made sure to go through everything. They even went back the next day to pick everything up and deliver her the check. If that’s not customer care, I don’t know what is.They were incredibly helpful and so fair, actually generous, on all their prices. My Gma has been a customer of theirs for a while and refers everyone to Royal Coin. I saw a commercial about a coin I had worth that is worth few hundred dollars and these guys were honest with me that that ad was just a BS lie. I even called another coin shop who offered me a lower price than Royal Coin on the coin. I also got more information than I expected to get from Royal Coin about the coin and how the prices are set. If you are trying to buy, talk these people down a mile. they offer nothing when they buy...a coin that goes for 250 online is 15 to them, try silverminers on FB or eBay......everything you bring them is trash and not what theyre looking for (but when they sell it its rare and desirable)..told me they were going to sell a coin they bought for 4 dollars more than they paid, they put it in the display for 125 more than that.....its really not these guys, its the profession....jmbullion and apmex has everything they are selling in better condition cheaper, shipped to your door........people have no integrity anymore, I could never work at one of these shops and still sleep at night....watched them give a grandma 50 for a PCGS coin thats book is 500+, 3 times that and they still would have made plenty....what a messed up world we live in
