I got two rent increases instead of one . Some insurance I’m being charged after I already renewed my lease . Packages being stolen so have to wait for the office to be open to get access to package room. This place turns into one big party after the office closes . Domestic dispute at 4am one night would have been helpful if there was a resident peace officer or security on site. Some things I know apartments don’t have control over but the residents here are the most inconsiderate I’ve ever come across. Problem is the design of so of the units the bedroom backs up to a window over looking the parking lot where people come in at all hours of the night being loud etc . Bedrooms should be closer to the front door where some of this noise from the parking lot would not be heard. The design of the units are nice but considering everything else I’ve mentioned is it worth it ? It’s not cheap to live here.
Absolutely LOVED this community. I came in this week to tour the property and I was escorted by Ms. Kimla Berry. She was very informative and answered any inquiries I had. Which was plenty. I’ve never experienced a leasing agent who truly loved what they were doing and gave guests a positive, comfortable experience that didn’t feel rushed. Since I walked through the door, I knew I made the right choice. So much so that I want to chose The icon at Yorktown as my new home for my family and I. Thank you Ms. Kim. See you next week ☺️
I cannot be more blessed by Kat and Kim. There is no amount of words to describe how happy I am about being here. Both these ladies went above and beyond for me. I did not know where me or my son would be without these amazing ladies . From viewing the apartments to doing the application. I got approved within 24 hours. I would of had my keys earlier but due to the storm I had to wait. But they called me immediately Tuesday. I got my keys on Tuesday. Everyone here is so friendly and nice. I have slowly been moving in. It is a family community here . I would recommend this place to anyone. They will answer any questions you have and get back to you immediately. I have only been here a few days but I already feel very welcome . I highly recommend if you are looking to come and speak to Katherine or Kimberly . Both go above and beyond for the tenants.
I stopped by with my girlfriend for a tour and Kimla showed us around and she was very knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming.. She helped us decide that living here would be a great fit for me and my family! Also we like the surrounding areas around the apartments we love to walk places and things are very close for us thanks Kimla!
We’ve been living in the complex for almost two years, since last administration passed things has been worse.If you like a Non smoking community then this will be the wrong place for you.Hallways, elevator will smell like weed. Smell got out of control that even inside our apartment will smell as if we were the ones smoking.Clothes etc…Management won’t even hesitate to respond to our concerns.And we can’t wait to move out.As of now we have to deal with the fact that refrigeration stopped cooling since yesterday evening. Try to contact maintenance since yesterday. No response.As of today we will have to wait and see if they can fix it.Meaning we can’t buy groceries again and will have to be eating out until this gets fixed.During the weekend had to deal with people being drunk at the pool and vomiting on the parking lot.
I’ve been living here for 2 years. The management team is the most valuable part of living here. They are very supportive and personable. Kim is sweet and kind. She treats you like family. Justin will be changing properties soon but he was apt to listen and correct situations in an efficient and professional manner. Lastly, Phil is the maintenance manager. He handles the entire building by himself. He corrects issues as promptly and properly as he can. He always does a great job. He has always been friendly, professional and honest. What I love most about this team is that you can be honest and direct about what you need from them. They will do their best to help you. The power outage situation was tough on everyone but they kept us informed. Phil replaced my fridge when it never came back on after the storm. He had a lot to do but he made sure he got back to me about my fridge. I really appreciate living here because of this team. It’s just one building so it’s small and mostly quiet. We have small issues here and there but I’ve always felt safe here.
This property is ALL about greed. families beware.. many people vehicles have been broken into and towed. they charge you a ton of quiet fees for everything when you finally move out with no real breakdown of your charges. the leasing office never picks up the phone or returns any important emails. when I first moved in my unit, every job was half finished. the elevator never works so what’s the point of offering that and the smoke alarms that go off in everyone’s unit are literally ridiculous. firetrucks are here in the middle of the night religiously. Plus they never do anything special for the tenants. I hated living here. Phil is the only thing good though, he’s a nice maintenance man.
So far so good! I relocated from Ohio and never physically toured the property before hand. Luz made this process so seemless and so did Phil! I mailed my clothes and some of the boxes were damaged in transit they were safe inside my apartment when I arrived! What you see online is exactly what it is and pretty quiet too! Been here about 3 months so far and I love it, out side of the occasional fire alarm. Also do not allow your guest to park in the lot unless you register them. They say no overnight parking but it was 750pm and we had to pay 300 to get the vehicle out of the tow lot! 🤬 overall we love our new home and amenities!
If you want to live in a place where smoke alarms go off in the middle of the night, waiting two weeks for maintenance to fix all your emergency problems, and never getting any help from the front office— this is the perfect place for you and your family!!!!!I also experienced first hand, paying for a monthly parking spot that everybody can just park in, with zero consequences. The rent is way too high for all these negetive experiences.
My wife and I had walked in on a Saturday and Ms.Kim had helped us from gge very start to the end with great energy and attentive to all of our needs. The apartment and amenities are outstanding but the leasing office team is also a great bonus as they list and respond to the concerns and needs. Intruly recommend The icon at yorktown as it is peaceful, luxurious and makes you feel at home. Thank you Kim!!
One of the may things that I love about living here is that Kimberly and Justin are very nice. If I have package left at my door, I can just call them and they can grab it for me and hold it in their leasing office until I come pick it up.

Move here at your own risk! There’s been like 7 property managers in 2 years which says alot about the foundation. They don’t fix any real issues with the fire alarms and are always over promising tenants on what they can do. Also, the environment is not kid friendly at all. Smell of marijuana in every hallway.. Rude little girl works in the office. Don’t rent here!
The buildings fire alarm goes off at least once a week where the entire building and all residents can hear it and it’s so annoying because it doesn’t go off until the fire department arrives to turn it off. We never know if it’s a real alarm or wolf. The property managers will always blame the paying residents for the faulty alarm system. So if you have children, work from home, or enjoy a good night rest this will be a problem for you. Last night it randomly went off AGAIN, and the email this morning says it is because somebody was cooking (rolls eye) last time the alarm sounded they put somebody out of their lease and accused them of smoking and setting the building alarm off. So if you don’t want to feel like you live in a senior citizen community please avoid living here. It’s not worth the pay and micro managing of your apartment.
This complex is amazing! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming, they make us feel at home! Luz have been the best ever! She helped us and made everything very smooth! The apartment is amazing. I love the complex as soon as I saw it and now that I’m leaving here I love it even more! 100% recommended
We have lived at Icon for about 4 months now and and we love it here. Luz worked with us to get us on-boarded and we have felt nothing but appreciated. The grounds are well kept and maintained, the gates work and there arent random passerbys slow-rolling through the parking areas or wandering through the building.Any minor issues (specifically dog waste not picked up) is due to negligent pet owners. There are several dog-waste receptacles around the building and although the majority of owners are responsible, there will always be a few who are not.The fire-alarm issue is not the fault of the management or equipment, but again, due to a few people who insist on lighting up in the apartments or inside the building. These incidents are becoming fewer as repeated offenders are asked to vacate.On this subject, Luz has been great at keeping residents informed on the status of the alarm improvements as they work through this issue with the fire department and city officials.I would also like to give a shout-out for Phil who wears nothing but a smile (on his face) and is quick to respond to service calls and either repairing or replacing errant kitchen and laundry equipment when needed.Thank you Icon!
I dont live there yet but when I visited to tour, I had a pleasant experience. I was greeted immediately, and offered water and coffee. Errol was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The property was clean and well maintained. The amenities they offer is perfect for the price point. I plan to drive by at night just to see if there is a different vibe but overall I enjoyed my experience.
This is one of the more quiet, friendly places Ive lived at. They take care of you really well at the office, and the place is held to high cleanliness and security standards. I love that its very measured as to who comes in when and that mostly only residents that come in and out (notwithstanding the occasional Amazon or FedEx driver). Great place to live!!
We have lived here for 6 months now. The first 6 months were great. Not the best built but a great first time home. Now more people have moved in and under new management. Loud music with no consideration for neighbors. Gates are never closed now. Management is hard to get in contact with. Before we would see security which made us comfortable but now I have not seen any in months. Quality has gone down in the last 6 months.
Maintenance is prompt and intentional about repairs. Has been a great experience so far!

I lived there for a year, the apartment was new, but the building material was not good I could hear my neighbors TV all the time. people partying by the pool and we could hear the loud music. the property manager didnt do anything about that.Recently we could smell Weed in the hallways, when Errol became the property manager we know it was the time to leave. He never responded to phone calls and very slow when replaying to emails.I believe the property managers are the problem of this apartment.
Think twice if you want your family or friends to visit you. Unfriendly place to visit. My car towed for no reason at 8pm. I was well parked in a uncovered parking place in front of the owner house. No signs of permit required on the parking space. No parking available for visitors. Only an inconvenient sign at the entrance that you need to register visitors in a website.Towing people disgusting. I will not rent in this place never.
I have lived here for close to two years now. There’s been ups and down but overall been pretty happy with the new management team.My catalytic converter has been stolen from truck 2 times. This has been very frustrating considering this is gated somewhat small community. When I asked them how we can prevent this from happening a third time the response was in short “if they want to take it from your truck they will.” Nothing about beefing up security. Or helping deter future break ins. They made it very clear that this is my issue and they will be doing nothing to help with this situation going forward. I’ve basically come to terms that my truck will be broken into at will at this point.
We have lived here for over 6 months now and we liked it a lot at first, now that more people have moved in it has gotten really bad, very trashy, unfriendly people, loud noises all night, loud music without any consideration for other tenants in other apartments, management and owners changed and it did not get any better , apartments are going down the drain.Gates are always open, nothing gets fixed , no security staff . Apartments floor plans are ok but are very expensive and not worth the money, very poor built and cheap appliances, walls are thin and you can literally hear everything next door neighbors are doing or sayingI do not recommend moving in here
I would like to share that my apartment hunting experience ended the minute I walked into this office because Izaak the property manager was so kind and helpful to meet everything I wanted my new beautiful home. He worked with me well as I’m already a very picky person. I would most definitely recommend this complex!
I been a resident for a few months now and I’m truly enjoying my stay. My neighbor is cool, the other tenants have been nice and the pool is basically where I live lol. Big shout out to Candice! She’s always willing to help and see it through.
Every since we’ve moved to the Icon, I love how calm and quiet the complex is and really appreciate all the help we get from the office staff. It’s also on a very convenient location. However they could do a much better job maintaining the property clean.
From the moment we first toured the property to now, the staff and area has been great. Management is responsive and for any issue I’ve made they met ad resolved in timely fashion. Location is great however high traffic flow. But nonetheless, would most definitely recommend this place for families and single adults.
New construction but not worth the price tag. Can tell these were not built to last. Just moved in and some of the design choices are really cheap-tubs are not really sturdy. If i were over 200 pounds im sure i could crack it in some places-closet racks misaligned-dents/creaky spots in the higher floored units. might end up getting noise complaints from the people below me just for walking in shoes-carpet in bedroom is really thin and cheap. I-walls are basically paper mache. I can hear my neighbors talking normal volume when in bed-Gnats get in easily but I guess they are trying to spray more to help that.-The pedestrian gate does not have a keypad yet & The drive up keypad to enter the gate is really tight for cars to drive to. Gotta be a good driver or have a compact car haha.Best things are the new appliances and cabinet space. Move in was easy though and the leasing staff is really nice. Just think the builders could have done a better job or investors put more money into a higher quality building at least for the price tag
This is the worse complex since this new property has came in , I have been getting many late charges on my account , knowing I pay my rent on time every month. Gate always broken fire Alarm goes off any time of the night when I’m sleeping from working long hours as a travel nurse , I can not wait till my lease is up because this has been the worse apartment experience I have ever been in. I wouldn’t give this apartment complex any reviews with this new property it has went down hill.

One star is actually good for this place, Management is solid but the apartments are in very poor conditions. This is a construction issue. Dont rent here, Ill show you my brand new unit and it will change your mind. I contacted corporate and they have not responded. Fridge: Broke, Dishwasher: Broke, Garbage disposal: Broke. Under the sinks: Broke. Its all bad, save yourself the headache.
It was a struggle at first but the destination was worth it. We got in thanks to Kim and Justin. The apartment Floor plans are Amazing as well as the Gym and Pool
This apartments has the best floor plans and great pricing. I just apply today and the most exciting part that I’m moving in 24 hours. Highly recommended, everything is new for a good price.
I love living here. Every time I need something, the manager is always available and super friendly. Residents are respectful and kind.. no issues here with noise, I plan on staying here for a long time.
Beautiful property but horrible experience from property manager Candice, I was harassed by her and she even called the cops on me for not telling her what unit I lived in. She seems emotionally unstable, save your time and money by moving else where. Errol is great though!!!
I inaugurated this complex that at the beginning was incredible, several administrations have passed over time and it is incredible how this administration is the worst of all, I remember that I paid $15 dollars for my storage today this administration has raised it to 100, before We had parks for visitors, this administration was in charge of eliminating them, (thus violating the rights of the tenant), it is incredible how any untrained person can be in charge of a complex that in its beginnings was phenomenal, if you are thinking of moving You know that this complex is a great place, but the administration will only have a smile as long as they do not have to solve any problem, and if you are one of those who lives, start making your appointments directly to the city of Houston, there is the tenant protection department and Houston Apartment Association
The Property Manager made my move in experience really easy and enjoyable. I am so happy I chose the Icon at Yorktown over the other properties I visited! I would highly recommend to at least come see for yourself!
The fire alarms always turns on. And it’s annoying for us because I have a 5 months old baby and a 2 years old, and know they afraid of every noice. Today February 1st at 11:04pm the fire alarms turn on again. And since I move here this thing keeps happening.
Went in for a tour and the person working acted like he did not want to show us an apartment. He tried several different ways to deter us from seeing a unit. Even after we realized we didn’t have one of our Id’s he didn’t even offer to give us information. Sad when the staff is the reason you would not lease. Even worse when your in the industry and know what they are supposed to do.
Toured the apartments and loved the floor plans. Also, the area is nice and I heard they have a new manager which is good, because I heard the last one wasn’t so good. Plan on moving here soon!
I’ve been living here for almost a year. I love it. Very very luxurious, great place to live. Very convenience location… Right in the middle of I-10 and 290. Has everything you need. Very quit. Nice neighbors. My kids love it. I recommend it.
I scheduled an appointment for 3pm , the person called an hour earlier, then called 2 more times , I told her my appointment time, which she wrote it in wrong. I called her when I was 2 mins away she answered , when I got to the door no one was around . The door was locked I waited 35 mins. no one stilled showed up. I guess that’s a sign not to rent here
Horrible experience with these apartments, I was hung up on multiple times. You have to call back to back to get rude answers. I was told they would call me back any time I called and I wouldn’t hear from them unless I called multiple times. Don’t waste your money. Isaac was professional but they need to hire better staff. Very poor experience working with them.
This is my new Home and it is Amazing! The staff is Awesome. And they hosted a Cinco de Mayo event with free food and refreshments and entertainment for all the residents. Love this place! My Forever Home!
What can I say I’ve lived here for three months now and I absolutely love the property the staff is so friendly and responsive I have a one bedroom which is almost 1000 ft.² and it is so gorgeous tall ceilings pet friendly everyone is so nice there including the residence selling my house and moving to an apartment had me a little worried however I’m actually enjoying myself and the price is great.
Candace, the employee, from The Edge at Langham Creek needs a lesson in Human Resources & how to approach someone. Before accusing someone of trespassing, identify yourself truthfully, and then you will get the info needed. To call the cops on someone before doing what you should do is unacceptable. Candace, the tenant, do what you need to do. Candace, the employee, should be fired for unnecessary harassment.
Maintenance- Phil has GREAT work ethics...VERY professional and responds to work orders in a timely manner...He is definitely a asset to this property.
I came looking for a one bedroom and they showed me the model and i loved it .Management is so nice , i cant wait to get an apt there !
Shopping for a new apartment is really complicated right now and specially because my fiancée and me are first timers doing this , after visiting this community we fell in love with the floor plan we chose and the application process was super easy thanks to the assistant manager Ellar , we are super excited to move in and we recommend this community for anyone shopping for a new home .

Additionally, the pool and gym are in excellent condition, providing great convenience for residents.I especially want to highlight the attention I received from Luz, who was incredible. From the beginning, Luz was very friendly and helpful. He helped us through every step of the moving process, making sure everything was done as quickly as possible. Their professionalism and friendly attitude made a big difference.Overall, my experience at The Icon Yorktown deserves 5 stars.
