We worked with Jamestown at the onset of the journey to build in greater heights.  Jamestown worked with us to find a lot.  They helped with the feasibility of what would fit, and develop a construction cost that fit our budget.   Spencer our construction superintendent managed the construction and kept us on schedule and on budget.  It was a pleasure to work with the team at Jamestown.  They were very flexible and accommodating throughout the process.  We highly recommend the people and the company.

My wife and I began looking at newly constructed homes in July 2019, but didnt find the size or layout we wanted. Jamestown was one of the builders whose homes we toured, and we were impressed with the quality. While touring a Jamestown home, we met Victoria Hawes, one of the principals at Jamestown. From Victoria, we learned of the opportunity to acquire a large lot in the Memorial Villages area and build a custom home to suit our particular needs. Long story short, Jamestown designed and built our new home in about nine months, from foundation to closing. Victoria was very helpful - knowledgeable, patient and very creative. Our construction manager, Mike Prejeant, was awesome, but sadly passed away unexpectedly about five months into construction. We loved Mike, but Spencer Sledge, project manager, stepped into the very challenging situation and brought the project home in the final three months. Spencer has been fantastic - very responsive and accommodating our very particular wants and needs, including follow-up after closing. Were very happy with our new home.

We recently moved into our Jamestown custom house and were extremely happy with the entire process. Roughly one year ago we were in our first design meeting with the Jamestown team describing our wants/needs in a new house and here we are now sitting in the house. We were previously able to tour a completed house Jamestown had built and were impressed with the design/quality. During the house design phase Victoria was able to capture everything we asked for and was very easy to work with. It was exciting to see how quickly that discussion turned into a blueprint for our future house.During the home finishing design phase Jessica patiently walked us through the entire process. The number of choices to make regarding paint, floors, light fixtures, fans, doors etc. can be somewhat overwhelming but Jessica was able to keep us on track and simplified the process as we went along. Everything looks great now that it’s all together and a lot of that is owed to Jessica’s design eye and her patience in driving us through the process including meetings/calls whenever needed.Spencer was our construction manager and despite the ongoing pandemic he was able to get the house completed even earlier than we initially expected. He also offered great insight into the final product during the building phase, so we were able to envision the house even when it was just a foundation. He kept us up to date on the progress during the whole project which was appreciated since we were busy with other things during this period, but Spencer made sure to get our input on any decisions that needed to be made. The house looks great now that it’s finished and we’re very happy with how Spencer and his team got everything together.It has also been nice to see how active and connected the Jamestown folks have been with us even now that we have moved into the house. They’re available for any questions/concerns and like the building process have been extremely easy to work with. We’re very happy with the final product and have nothing but good things to say about the Jamestown team. While we’re hopefully staying here a long time, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jamestown to others looking to build.

From the moment I stepped into my first Jamestown Estate Home in early 2023, I instantly knew this was the builder for me.After a traumatic home-buying experience in 2015 with another builder in Houston, I did not think I could trust another homebuilder again. Houston is one of the biggest cities in the United States, and homebuilders in this city tend to cut corners and put up homes as fast as possible without worrying about the consequences.To put this into perspective, my previous builder rushed through the initial inspection report, deflected all repairs, and downplayed the severity of the defects of the home. My last home was not built to code, and this resulted in damages totaling over $50K in which the builders insurance ultimately had to pay (after a years-long battle). Imagine a brand new home having rotting foundational beams!This was not the case with Jamestown Estate Homes. Every member of their team went above and beyond to make my home-buying experience smooth and stress-free.Tauny Prejeant, my Sales Consultant, was a gem. His walkthrough showcased the high-quality workmanship, and he promptly addressed every item on my inspection list without fuss. Jamestown Estate Homes is an excellent home builder that I would highly recommend to anyone in the market for a new build or custom home. My wife and I recently purchased a spec home from Jamestown in Garden Oaks and have been thoroughly impressed by the teams professionalism, responsiveness, and quality-focused design and build decisions.Regarding build quality, you can immediately tell a difference when walking into a Jamestown home. The attention to detail, quality finishes, and ergonomic home features are readily apparent. Jamestowns design decisions stand out among other spec builders in our neighborhood (Garden Oaks/Oak Forest), many of whom make questionable aesthetic choices or cut corners on features. At least two of our friends who have since toured the house have remarked, are you sure this wasnt a custom home?Most importantly, the Jamestown team was very easy to work with from initial discussions to punch list items to post-close questions. Victoria and Spencer have consistently gone the extra mile to make sure we were completely happy with the space, including by raising punch list items we didnt even see ourselves. You can tell they take pride in their work and in upholding Jamestowns reputation.Jamestown definitely deserves a look if you are in the market for a high quality home. If and when we move again (hopefully not for a long time, hah), I will be giving them a call.

I have built three homes now and this last experience with Jamestown has been above and beyond any prior experience. After an extensive search and interviewing multiple builders, we had originally contracted with Jamestown to build on our lot in the suburbs. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to change directions. We were happy to find one of their homes in the city that was near completion. We reached back out to Victoria who helped us through the new process and to make a number of changes to the home to suit our needs. She was extremely helpful, knowledgable and a pleasure to work with. In addition, the manager on our project, Spencer, is like none other. Both of them have extreme attention to detail, great customer service, and more than anything a true care and passion for what they do and the people they do it for. The quality of the product that they provide is top notch. I would highly recommend Jamestown, and I have already sent some friends their way!

We love our new custom home by Jamestown Estate Homes. We used one of their existing floor plans and modified it just the way we wanted it - so we did not have to start from scratch but still got exactly what we wanted. There were some ups and downs in the process, but our project manager, Spencer Sledge, was always very professional and responsive and worked with us to think of creative ideas and efficient solutions to address anything that came up. He even helped us design the perfect backyard for our kids!

Very unprofessional. They did not build my home but I did have the unfortunate experience of have them building a home next to me. Highly recommend if you value the relationship you will have with your neighbor at all to steer clear of this company!!! Poor construction crews, no oversight, no respect for property lines and zero maintenance of property to your neighbors dismay.Edit to respond. That is a complete lie. I emailed your company to meet with your team on the joke of a grading job your company did; Dumping dirt and burying the iron fence as well as using an iron fence as a retaining wall to pack dirt onto for grading. That email was ignored much like how you treated me every time I tried to engage with any property manager during the build about common maintenance of drainage ditches, contractors getting drunk on the job and many other issues. Considering how your company has acted during the entire build I am not surprised at all by your unethical response to my post.

My wife and I chose Jamestown based on viewing a home they recently completed in Oak Forest. Rather than chasing finished homes in a hot market, we decided to build a custom home from scratch. The process took approximately 16-months, and there were bumps along the way as you would expect. But one of the bright spots was their project lead, Spencer Sledge. He had recently joined Jamestown and I believe our home was his first to manage start-finish. Despite his newness to custom homes, he did not miss a beat. Spencer was patient, available to meet/speak at any time and always on an even keel. He listened to our requests and bent over backwards to make sure they were integrated into the project. We often receive compliments on different facets of our home and give Spencer the credit for taking our plans to reality.We strongly recommend Spencer and look forward to seeing the future custom homes he brings to our ‘hood!

Jamestown is a highly experienced builder that has integrity and delivers a high quality product. This was our first experience having a custom home built. Its obvious, but working with a custom builder is a significant relationship and an important one to the home buyer (given the investment of money and emotion) over the year or so you spend from start to finish. So, the integrity of the builder is absolutely critical in the process, and we always believed in Jamestowns integrity – which was at the foundation of the relationship. Our first contact was with Victoria, a highly energetic, hard working, and capable individual. We enjoyed the process of working up the floorplan and elevations with Victoria, who worked with both us and with the designer who created the formal drawings. Victoria brought the right balance of suggestions and openness to our ideas. She also worked with us on selections, and she presented examples as well as ideas for saving cost without sacrificing quality. At the end of the day, we ended up with a house that incorporated many great ideas from Jamestown but also was our own unique creation. Mike was our project manager. He was highly experienced and did a great job. Importantly, Mike was great with those he described as some of the more involved customers with whom he had dealt..... Us? We admit that were above average in the paying attention to detail department, but we were enthusiastic and invested customers who treated the process as an interactive partnership, and the good news was that Mike welcomed it and was open to our heavy involvement and ideas. We spent many hours discussing details, exchanging drawings and diagrams, etc., with Mike (and at least) we enjoyed it all. Im sure that Jamestown also works well with customers who are happy to defer more details to the builders discretion. Any project of this scale will present some frustrations, but one of Mikes best skills is diffusing concerns and putting people at ease. The rest of the staff brought their great talents and personalities to the project as well, with Greg (the president) offering sage advice (on numerous topics) over the course of the project. We also appreciated the efforts of the rest of the team at Jamestown. The project was not without some (but not many) mistakes (which I believe would be impossible on a project of this size, given the number of tasks, suppliers, etc. involved), BUT the way these things are handled is what is most important, and Jamestown proved to be a company that stands behind its work, even with tidying up details after the closing. On the financial side, we never felt that Jamestown ever tried to upsell, and we had no major financial surprises on the project. Having been warned by people about the nightmare that building a custom home could be, we were very happy with the process and the result.

Jamestown Estate Homes (JEH) just completed construction on our dream home in Oak Forest. We stumbled upon a JEH open house in mid-February 2019 and JEH completed our amazing new home on one of their available lots only 10 months later. Their team focuses on quality and client satisfaction and we could not be happier with the finished product. We heard that building a custom home would be extremely stressful, but we can honestly say that the entire process, from our first design meeting to closing was smooth and as stress free as possible.We first met with Victoria Hawes in February 2019 to discuss the construction of a new home that modified a few things from an existing floor plan. Victoria seamlessly integrated our preferences into what was already a beautiful floor plan in a functional and cost-effective manner. In addition general layout issues, Victoria spent quite a bit of time with us making sure we addressed little items, like locations of lights and electrical outlets, that could have big day to day impacts after move-in.Once we got our permit, our construction manager, Spencer Sledge, and selections coordinator, Jessica Staten, took over. Jessica is a new addition to JEH who helped us make at least one million and one decisions. This is our fourth home and we thought we knew what we were getting into since we had previously bought a new build townhome. For that home, we were able to make design choices, but this was an entirely different experience. For the townhome, we had a few options and each option had a price-point. With Jamestown, they provide an allowance in your budget and you can choose almost anything within the wide world of construction materials. It is both overwhelming and very exciting. Jessica steered us in the right direction to make selections that were both in our budget and our style profile. She comes with a vast wealth of knowledge on range of style, vendors and quality of materials. We actually came in under budget and didnt compromise on the quality or choice of our final selections. Jessica was a great resource and through the building process she was both a consultant and therapist as she would help me overcome second guessing on my decisions right before installation. JEH is currently building their own design center and I cant wait to see it!Spencer Sledge was our day to day point of contact on the construction of the house. He worked his tail off to keep everything moving quickly and was on top of every detail in the home. Due to rainy summer weather in Houston, we were a few weeks behind schedule with the foundation, but he was able to catch up on time and get us in the house earlier than we expected. Spencer was available at our convenience for walk throughs and answered all of our questions on a timely basis. Toward the end of construction once we knew a year end move as possible, he kept things moving to make sure we were able to move in before we had to get back to work after New Years. Even the first few days after we moved in, Spencer was available to quickly answer questions about the home to help us with the moving process.All in all, working with JEH and their team was a pleasure and we give them our highest recommendation to anyone wanting to build a custom home in the Houston area.
