Working with McVaugh Custom homes was a pleasure. They are professionals and really understand the whole building process--from design through closing. Jim McVaugh has a real eye for design and adds touches to his homes that make living so much easier. I would not have guessed it, but I have grown fonder of my home the longer I have lived in it. Jim will definitely build my next home--if I ever move again.

If i could give them 0 stars, i would!From start to finish, the McVaugh team was a nightmare to work with. The superintendent onsite would specifically call our office and try to speak with people who did not have knowledge of his specific project so he could try to get answers he wanted. Our employees were considered to be lucky if they were not screamed at when dealing with him. They are unprofessional and will not pay you for work performed.If they can do it to us, they can do it to you. AVOID at all costs.

Do not trust these guys, they will give you the run around for months on payment. They do NOT pay their vendors and take 2 years + on 6 month project. Definitely doing some shady permitting and plan development. Will be reporting the to City and State Fire Marshal’s Office.

Very professional when responding to our countless efforts on receiving payments on past due invoices. Will go behind your back to another company to get what they need for their project. BE CAREFUL WHEN WORKING WITH THESE GUYS.

Jim McVaugh and his team were magnificent to work with. When we met Jim, we pretty much had an idea of what we were hoping to build. These people cannot be trusted to pay in a timely fashion. Been trying to collect on past due payments from them for 2+ years! Extremely unprofessional and very dodgy!!

Agree with previous reviews. I bought a McVaugh house and had issues with foundation, Air Condition and cracks in walls. I lived in a 14 years old home and didnt have any of these issues.They had been sued in the pastBEWARE!

I cant even start to describe my experience with this conpany, from the very beginning they started late, delays from the start, the staff acts like they are listening to your requests and answers, then do what they feel like. This is unacceptable on a project of this scope and price.They changed crews and personnel so often I had no idea who to ask questions to, I still not sure who is in charge.After all was done, I come to find out that allot of things were just covered up or hidden to finish, including 2 inspections... and forget about coming back to fix cracks and problems, once payed, they are gone.I learned they have legal cases against them, not sure why, but Im guessing is cause of things like this.
