Reliant Mold Testing & Inspections

Reliant was very responsive to our timetable. They performed the analysis and quickly returned the results. I recommend Reliant to everyone who suspects or has a mold problem in their home. Robin was wonderful to deal with during the analysis. She took the time to explain what she was doing and gave me a quick education on the different kinds of molds that one can expect under the circumstances. We will have Robin come back after mold remediation to perform another air quality test to make sure we do not have mold spores floating around after demo and reconstruction. 5-star competence, acumen, and reliability!

Robin from Reliant Mold saved us from purchasing a house with toxic black mold last month. At the very end of our option period, another inspection company recommended that we have a mold inspection, so we were scrambling to find someone to do an inspection within a days notice. Robin not only did the inspection but also produced the results on the same day. Thanks to her, we found out that the house was full of toxic mold and needed serious work, so we didnt purchase the house. She is knowledgeable, thorough, and very responsive. We are forever thankful that we called Robin from Reliant Mold and will recommend her to anyone!

Even though it was no-call-no-show at first, Ms. Robin caught up with her schedule and provided a good service. Since the lab report came out normal, we were satisfied with the service. However, its been several months (almost 10months I think), we still havent received our report or Ms. Robins assessment. I sent her multiple email, and still no response. So, watch out from that, make sure you get the report if you use them.

I chose Reliant Mold Testing out of many companies because of the good review in google also how Robin explained to me the whole process in such a great and detailed way. I made an appointment on Saturday morning at 10:00 am, but nobody show up at the appointment. I called the office main number maybe 10 times then Robin picked it up and said that the time they have is at 12:00 pm, probably the admin entered the wrong dates. But quickly she rescheduled the appointment and came out herself at around 11:30 am and gave me a discount due to their mistakes. She spent time in the house for the inspection and did very detailed review and testings, explained any questions I had, everything is great. On Tuesday, I received the lab results for testing, and she called me to explain everything in the report. I would give 5 stars if things can keep this standard. After discussing in the phone, Robin mentioned that she will send me the report shortly and schedule a protocol to be done on Friday so that I could get it on Monday. With such expectations in mind, I waited and waited, but never received anything. I tried to call the office number, nobody ever picked up the phone. I sent emails, nobody responded. I was in such situation for probably another week, until I emailed again mentioned that if I dont hear back by Sat, I will have somebody else to do the work. Then I got an email response to say report will be sent shortly and Protocol will be done next day or two. So I waited again and never heard everything back. Everyday I called and emailed with no responses. Eventually I got really tired after three weeks of waiting, I sent an email to say if I dont receive anything by the end of the day, I will consider all of our service terminated. Then I received the initial testing report at that time three weeks later. And now more than a month later, I still never heard anything back on the Protocal and I gave up on getting it. So please take this into consideration if you want to get reports timely.

This team is great. While I ended up getting out of the shady situation, Robin was the quickest of any company I called to call me back. And this was at like 10pm! So of course I was quite excited to hear back so soon.She walked me thru the consult process and told me about what the various causes of the odor I was smelling could be - and went over the different types of mold and mold testing they do.I ultimately ended up getting out of the shady situation with my landlord, but I’d highly recommend Reliant to anyone who suspects their home or property may have a mold problem.

Kaitlin was great! Our buyer was nervous about possible mold after the home inspection, and Kaitlin was thankfully able to do a thorough inspection to put his mind at ease. I hope to not need their services again, BUT would recommend Reliant to anyone in need!

**final update** reduced my rating back down to 1 star. would give them 0 if i could. circling back on the fact that we had this inspection done due to my husbands poor health and it was suggested by his dr. his dr also said we needed to use texas mold inspectors because most mold inspection companies dont do the proper testing and its a waste of money. BOY WAS HE RIGHT. we booked these guys because getting an appointment with them was quicker and we were anxious to find out if we had mold. of course the inspection by all accounts SEEMED quite thorough to someone who isnt familiar with this line of work but really all they do is a thorough visual inspection and some infra red readings to look for increased moisture levels. she did find a very high moisture reading behind the shower wall in our master bathroom and suggested we call out a plumber. so we call out a plumber just to find we have no water leaks. when we sent our mold inspection report to the dr, he insisted we have texas mold inspectors come out because this company did not test to his satisfaction. so we just had that done yesterday and that was a night and day different experience. they actually stuck cameras down the wall cavities from the attic and found massive black mold growth behind that master shower wall. had the company we gave $700 to done the same simple thing, we would not have wasted additional money on having a plumber come out and do a pressure test when we have no current leak. we just bought this house in the summer of 2021 so im sure at some point in time that shower had a leak that was repaired but no attention was paid to the water damage caused and the mold grew from there. had reliant mold used cameras in the wall cavities when they detected the high moisture level in the bathroom, we would not have spent the additional $150 they charged for air quality testing. we asked them to go ahead and do that because they basically told us the house was immaculate and there were no signs of mold so were desperate to see if maybe the air tests would show something. the air tests did show some crazy readings in the master bedroom but no one bothered explaining the test to us, even after we asked. WORDS TO THE WISE: 1. USE TEXAS MOLD INSPECTORS FOR ANY MOLD TESTING NEEDS. 2. HAVE TEXAS MOLD INSPECTORS DO AN INSPECTION BEFORE YOU BUY YOUR NEXT HOME. STANDARD HOME INSPECTIONS DO NOT INCLUDE THEIR LEVEL OF MOLD TESTING. 3. HAVE AN ADDENDUM ON YOUR HOME OWNERS INSURANCE THAT COVERS MOLD REPAIRS THAT ARE NOT RELATED TO A PRIOR FLOODING CLAIM (allstate will not cover all the remediation and rebuilding were going to have to have done because we have not had a prior water leak/flooding claim.....)the lady who came and did the inspection was super thorough and friendly and i hate to leave a 2 star review based on our experience with her specifically. my issue is the fact that she did 3 air samples and said they needed to be sent to a lab which would take 3 days to get back. this was last tues and she said she would send us the results of the air tests along with her full report on friday. its monday and we still havent heard a peep from anyone nor will anyone answer the phone or return calls. being in the customer service industry myself, i understand there can be delays for a multitude of reasons but communication goes a long way! we are eagerly awaiting these results to see if we need to have any remediation done as my husband has been in poor health and recently tested positive for mycotoxins.... just frustrating that they are super quick to get $700 from you and then just leave you in the dark.... poor business practice in my opinion.

Sad to say I never got the report I paid for though I have called and emailed frequently. I thought Robbin seemed to know what she was doing but she did not keep her end of the deal - which was to write a report. I would not use this company again.

The people at reliant genuinely care about the safety of your family. They’re incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. They answered my call on a Sunday evening and got an inspector to my house on Monday morning. It was amazing. They’re all SO great and professional. From the moment I spoke to Robin on the phone I felt so confident that I finally found the right company! She made me understand the process from beginning to end and explained everything! I highly recommend them!!!!!

Like Nan said below, No one answers the phone. You can leave a message everyday and no one will call you back. I found Robin to be helpful and knowledgeable when I could actually get a hold of her.

You can tell when scheduling this company is extremely qualified. Only company that took the time to listen not just issue a price. I will recommend them.

For the circumstances Reliant helped a lot in getting the clearance on my home. Very skilled company to assist with a mold problem.
