Recently had the pleasure of purchasing merchandise at an estate sale and must say that the staff was pleasant, courteous, and more than helpful to answer questions. It was a great experience and I even appreciated the sense of security that was present. I will be attending more estate sales that Alexander Appraisal conducts in the future. Thanks Guys!!!

Here we go!!! I am a very unhappy, frustrated client!!I used this company for my step-father estate.. for 2 months, Brittany Y. Made my experience a nightmare!! I was at her mercy to get this sale taken on. This was a reverse mortgage, and I have a deadline to clear out the house or lose everything. Finally, in December, the sale happened, and finally received funds on the last day per contract to receive funds. I emailed Brittany 33 times over the holidays to get updates on the sale, what was needed from me, and what she needed to get the most profit from sale, money from this was going to the medical aide that worked for my step-father for over 3 yrs. Brittany would never respond to my emails, and the mental anguish we endured from her lack of response is truly inexcusable!!! She cost me thousands on a car we couldnt include in sales, among many other things. As I look at other reviews here, I see complaints about Brittany going back 4 yrs!!! Really!! I wish I would have reviewed here b4 hiring her. Im sure she will have a very pollically correct response back on this (lol). Im not done. Im putting together a package of all emails and witnesses to her behavior regarding this estates sales client. I also requested all of the funds from the estate sale to compensate for her behavior!! And to date, she is radio silentREALLY!! BRITTANY!! shame on you....kind regards (lol)

They need to state business hours so people dont waste their time driving to their HOUSE. Kinda shady. They dont even answer the phone.

I never go to estate sales because I typically get so overwhelmed, but my friend dragged me out to some today. This company, in particular, made my experience comforting. The prices were good; I found exactly what I wanted, was able to cash-out in a timely, effective manner, and even got physical and digital receipts. They went beyond what they needed to do for me and with professionalism. A big THANK YOU🙏🏾! It really made my day (my experience shopping) and I am happy to have learned something: estate sales are the way to go IF the right company is involved!👏🏽

I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I have not gone personally to one of their estate sales that i am aware of. I understand estate sales are frustrating for the people who set them up. Still, whoever is running their Facebook Market Place “listings” is EXTREMELY rude! Her reviews show for it. She does not list no where on the description that the item is only available at a certain time or days. Then traps you with snark remarks and attitude. If you don’t wish to answer stupid questions just lead with the proper information is all i am saying.

Brittany and her team have been just absolutely wonderful. Their sales are meticulously organized; every team member is super friendly and helpful. All items are fairly priced. We cannot wait for their next sale.

A friend was very pleased with the estate sale done by this company, but I had issues from the beginning. After calling and leaving voice messages multiple times over a 2 week period, Brittany finally returned my call. She was pleasant on the phone, gave me a number to text, saying that was the best way to reach her, and we set up a day and time for us to meet at my mother’s house. She didn’t show, and it took several calls and texts before I reached her, and I never received a real explanation as to what happened. Another meeting was set up for the next day, which she finally showed up to an hour late. After explaining the estate sale process and looking around, she verified my email address to send me a contract, saying she would need keys so the staff could begin working. She said the sale would probably happen in July. By the first week of July I had not received the contract and had heard nothing about getting the keys. Once again I called and left messages, sent texts and emailed almost daily, even saying if she didn’t want to handle the estate sale, just tell me up front. After 2 weeks of this, I arranged the estate sale with someone else who has been such a pleasure to work with. Brittany was not professional in the way she handled this situation at all!

Alexander Appraisals was a godsend! I was responsible for clearing out the home my parents lived in for 30 years and the task seemed overwhelming. I knew there was no way I could handle it on my own, so I started researching estate sale services. By chance, I drove past a couple of estate sale signs one weekend and decided to check them out. There were 2 sales across the street from one another so I went to both. The one hosted by Alexander Appraisals really stood out and I knew they would be the one to hire. I worked with Deborah and she was clear about what to expect, informative about the entire process and responsive to all of my questions. She & her team organized the entire house beautifully, priced everything fairly and paid attention to details I never expected (replacing light bulbs, researching how to disassemble the fridge for moving, etc). Deborah has an amazing team, including Brittany, who was wonderful to work with. On the sale days, Deborah and her crew took care of everything - and having hosted a few garage sales in my own neighborhood, I know how crazy it can get! I was so grateful I was able to avoid that chaos and feel confident it was being handled professionally. They left my parents home empty, clean & ready for me to put on the market. I could not have done this without them!

I can not thank Deborah and her team enough for the handling of our brothers estate sale. He had an extremely large estate and we were overwhelmed with not only his passing, but also what to do with all his property. Deborah and the team came in and handled everything professionally, efficiently and with the knowledge needed to properly price and assess the value of the property. I also have to mention the respect that was shown for my brothers items was heartfelt and I felt they really did care. The property was beautifully staged. The sale was a huge success! We were left with unbelievably only 6 items that did not sell. The place was left spotless after the sale. There was not one thing that we needed to do. I highly recommend Alexander Appraisals. Thank you Deborah, Errol, Darlene. You guys are simply the best and I am going to miss you.

Im assuming Brittany wanted the item I attempted to purchase (as suggested by another reviewer). Made purchases on 1st day of estate sale, stopped by to purchase another item on 2nd day but employees suggested I text an offer to Brittany. Texted on 2nd day and 3rd day, called and left a message and made an offer. No acknowledgement or response whatsoever. Employees were very nice and helpful though. Wouldnt hurt to keep in mind that every customer is a potential client.

Staff members are very friendly and extremly helpful. I got two pieces of heavy furniture from one of the estate sales for my parents, miss Britney and her peers kindly helped us to move them to the elevator and out to the parking. They are respectful, genuine, and kind, which makes a huge difference for a professional estate sales team.

I recently had an estate sale handled by Alexander Appraisals. Before they came in, I was completely overwhelmed. Deborah Alexander and Brittany Yeargan and their team took on the 2500 square foot house that was in disarray, and within 4 short weeks the extremely successful estate sale was complete. They took control of coordinating with the HOA, the cleaning, sorting, appraising, pricing, staging, and sale of everything in that house. They even turned the cluttered garage into something that looked like an aisle in Lowe’s. They also selected certain pieces of artwork that will be sent to an auction house. Brittany coordinated with me through the entire process to assure that my needs were being met. When it was all said and done, they packed up all that did not sell (which was very little) and what could be donated was, and what was deemed not suitable for donation was removed. In the end, the house was completely emptied and freshly vacuumed, ready for sale. Within 2 days after the sale, Brittany provided an estate sale payout packet and brokerage report (for the items to be auctioned), and the funds had been deposited into the estate bank account. Alexander Appraisals could not have been more professional or courteous in their work. I highly recommend Alexander Appraisals for any estate sale or appraisal services you might have.

As executor of an Estate, I had a six bedroom home completely packed with 30 years worth of stuff that I had to dispose of. I was at a loss on how to accomplish this task when I hired Deborah and her team at Alexander Appraisal & Estate Services. It was very apparent she had years of experience in Estate sales and knew exactly what to do to and how to value the items. They came in and removed the trash, cleaned, organized and basically turned the house into a showroom and ready for an Estate sale, paying close attention to detail on presentation. They even cleaned out the garage. During the sale they provided security which made me feel at ease. At the end of the sale I was left with a completely clean and empty house that I was able to put on the market the very next day. I also received prompt payment of the proceeds as promised while some of the more expensive items were sent to auction. I was very happy that I chose Deborah, Brittany and the friendly team of professionals at Alexander Appraisal & Estate Services. They worked hard and did a fantastic job taking on an overwhelming task for me, making it appear so easy. I definitely recommend Alexander Appraisal & Estate Services.

I was so fortunate to find Deborah and her team! I was trying to handle my cousin’s estate from out-of-state, and Deborah made it so easy. I would use her all over again - professional, knowledgeable, honest. Regarding the one negative review below, my adult son attended the estate sale, and witnessed some of the horrific behavior by the shoppers. Deborah Alexander, Darlene and her team were the best I couldve asked for to conduct a full estate sale on my folks home in NW Houston. They were all extremely professional, organized and caring at the same time. Hard to find. After doing my due diligence by interviewing others, it was so clear that the Alexander team was the one for me. They took care of every last detail, held tight to prices and sold 95% of all of the household and then submitted many items to auction appropriately afterwards. I couldnt have been happier with the results.

I cannot say enough how incredibly helpful Alexander Appraisal was for me. My mother passed away and left me with a very large house full of her things to sort through. It was emotionally and physically exhausting. After two weekends of it I finally sought help and I’m so glad I found Deborah and her team. I needed time to just grieve. Long story short - they did everything they promised to do and they exceeded my expectations on the amount they were able to achieve through the estate sale. This is in no small part due to the value research they put into each and every item. All through the process my wishes and needs were honored and the sorting they did help make it easier for me to see what I wanted to keep. They even boxed away very personal items for me such as pictures, recipes and paper clippings, etc. After the sale they boxed up what was left and took it for donation and sent me the receipt. The house was left empty and cleaned - ready for me to put on the market. I would highly recommend Alexander Appraisal for anyone who is facing the daunting task of finalizing an estate.

When they run an estate sale, just dont go on the first day, or the even second day. They price so ridiculously that most of these sales are priced at ABOVE market value, close to new item prices. What a waste of time.

Honestly I am not surprised to see the review below posted by Grant I was actually at the sale that this individual is speaking of and witnessed the situation...the owner of the company was actually very polite when informing the woman that large bags are not allowed, the woman was clearly annoyed by the situation and was not taking her no for an answer, so she simply directed her towards the HPD OFFICER (not some low rent security officer trying to play cop) who was also very polite in informing the woman of the policy again. I do not believe that the owner nor the officer where insinuating that she was going to steal anything, however there are many people who go to sales with that being their number 1 objective, therefore to completely eliminate the problem NO ONE can have big bags!? Seems pretty simple to me. I have attend many estate sales over the years, including many put on by this company and it always has been the policy. Not to difficult of a policy to understand.

Do NOT attend estate sales run by this company, unless you want to be accused of thievery (for bringing a purse that doesnt have a zipper?), insulted and threatened by their onsite security. Do they expect my wife to leave her purse outside, where anyone could run off with it? We have attended many estate sales and we have never been treated so disrespectfully. Not a customer-oriented company at all.

I give Alexander Appraisals a 5-Star rating for an excellent turnkey job done on an estate sale and liquidation. Alexander handled the shipping of family items, which were all received intact, the estate sale, and the disposal / donation of any residual items. All work was done on time and the staff was highly professional. I couldnt have done it myself and I couldnt have found anyone better. Highly recommended!

Warning! This company claims to be ethical when others in the industry are not, but this is not true. When your estate is being prepared for a sale, items the owner or employee want are removed from the sale, or they price the item so high that no one will buy it so they can have it at the end of a sale. When items are purchased by the employees, it is often at a big discount. Customers are not always treated fairly and are often discriminated against. I do not trust the employees, owner or the company and would not hire them again.
