Local Office West University - Office Space For Rent

I’ve been to a few different coworking spaces in Houston but this one is my favorite, by far. Super cute vibes, a well stocked kitchen, and it’s the perfect size - big enough to spread out but small enough to be able to easily get to know other people. I can’t wait to go back!

Local Office West University is fantastic, as is Paige. The ac in my complex went out on Monday, and I was melting in my apartment. I called Paige to ask if she had space, and she said come on down. The facility is clean, well set up, and has ample space for multiple workers to spread out. I highly recommend the facility for any office/work needs.

I came down to Houston on short notice and needed a coworking space on short notice. I quickly found Local Office because they are one of the few places that offer a clear day pass policy. After giving them a call it was easy to reserve a coworking spot, check-in was simple, wifi was excellent for calls. The environment is really modern and the seating comfortable. There are phone booths for private calls available and also conference rooms for rent at an additional charge. Absolutely no complaints and would recommend the space for anyone!

We rented a conference room at Local Office West U for an important customer meeting, and the experience was first-rate. Great facility with a fun and professional feel. Paige was extremely helpful and responsive, and she made sure we were all set to have a successful meeting. Highly recommend!

The fire alarms were being tested in my apartment complex today, so I frantically came here for a day pass and had such a great experience, I plan on returning tomorrow! The space is modern, the WiFi is speedy, the bathroom has dog wallpaper (plus there was an actual dog in the building) and everyone I met - staff included - was super friendly. A welcome change from working from home!

Just on time work space! A colleague and I were desperately in need of a location since we were in out of town and found this gem in West U. The front office staff was exceptional, the amenities were great and the layout exceeded all of our needs. They had phone booths for private conversations and open collaborative areas as well. Also the coffee shop below has some tasty treats if you get snacky.

I came from London for a business trip and needed a place to work. I couldn’t possibly recommend this coworking space more highly. Starting with the super friendly and helpful community manager Paige who is doing a stellar job looking after each and every coworker and making sure it’s a wonderful environment to work there. In terms of work space, this place has everything you need. A variety of hot desk areas as well as breakout rooms one can use for calls. There is also free coffee and snacks. And a bunch of nice places relatively nearby allow to have great lunch breaks - I went with a couple of other very friendly coworkers who I met on that day. Overall, fantastic coworking vibes. Last but not least, you might get greeted at your desk by a little puppy once in a while - which is the highlight of each work day :). Loved it that this spot was so dog friendly. All in all, I highly recommend Local Office for all two and four legged coworkers who need a place to spend the workday.

A few weeks ago my gas line broke and I had to leave my home for 4+ hours and take my dog with me. I had a lot to get done so I frantically started searching for where I could go and stumbled upon this cute office space. I was so lucky that Paige was so kind and that the office space is truly dog friendly! I was able to relax and work knowing my dog and I were safe and thankfully not in the heat! Bonus points that Paige’s dog is so friendly and sweet. Thanks so much Paige!

Ive been three years at this location and I have been continuously proud of my decision of having my office at this location. Strongly recommend this location!Local Office provides a very welcoming family friendly spot and all the trained dogs are such a great addition to the environment! I love this co-working space! Im in Houston often visiting my daughter and need a place to work. The space is very convenient and has everything I need to stay connected with my team at work. Paige is always so welcoming and wonderful! The work space is clean, well supplied and very conducive to accomplishing all my work. I highly recommend it!

Really loved the space. If I was able to connect to the internet I would have definitely been back very often. The internet is set up so complicated that my work computer couldnt connect. An issue Ive never encountered. Paige did everything she could to help me try and connect (the IT person she wasnt able to get ahold of and my own IT person wasnt able to assist) but the only option was a few places where I could connect by Ethernet. Sad and disappointed. Location great. Nice coffee shop downstairs and just a great space. Wish it would have worked out.

Excellent location! I really enjoy working here, coffee shop has a lot of great food and coffee. Highly recommend checking it out.

I use this place for podcast recording. They have a small sound proof room with everything you need. Mic, ring light, head phones. It’s not a super fancy setup (no monitors or TVs) but it is efficient, effective and budget friendly. I’ve been twice and would highly recommend. Plan on going back. Also the lady on staff is nice and has the cutest dogs !

Great space! Private offices or common areas - total winners. Paige has been so accommodating and made signing up for work space a painless and friendly process. I initially went to the competitor and thought I’d check out Local Office before committing and I’m glad I did! Parking and area is perfect and beats downtown or the Galleria!

Local Office West U is a fabulous space! Theres open workspaces for all varieties of working professionals (private offices, open common rooms, phone booths, conference rooms, etc.) and the staff are awesome and accommodating! I had a meeting emergency and needed some private space to talk on the phone for a long string of meetings, and they were able to help in an instant.Bonus points for the awesome podcast/recording room and the proximity to great coffee and smoothies!

Stopped by Local Office West University to work for a day before heading to a meeting in Beaumont. Staff was incredibly friendly and accomodating , space was clean and beautiful, snacks were awesome and the location is fantastic! Strongly recommend if you are in the Houston area that you make Local Office West your new home!

Fun and clean space. Helpful staff and the skylights in the large common area make working so much more natural and comfortable. Brightly painted walls are fun with more traditional offices in the back. The layout is well thought out for different types of working - solo in the library or more communal in the common space / kitchen area. Lots of personality throughout and is close to lots of lunch spots. Its in a very walkable area. The wifi is very fast and great if you need to upload large files. Every nook of the space was thought through... if you pay attention youll see a lot of love went into the design to make it homey. Flexible packages are great for every type of entrepreneur or big fish in a small pond. Good vibes indeed.

Great place to knockout some training for new staff and get away from the hectic office. Was a perfect environment for meeting with sales team to train! Also Paige was very helpful in explaining the options and availability, she made it a simple solution so we could get down to business. Thanks Paige!

What a great space! I worked in the communal space for the day. I found the space relaxing and quiet, so I could work productively. Everyone is very respectful of each other’s workspace (and noise). I really liked how there were multiple areas I could work out of, some of sofas and soft chairs. Overall, I had an extremely good/productive day here and hoping to use the space again in the future.

Local Office is the best shared office space that I have tried in Houston! I have tried others and none of them even come close. The atmosphere is great for working, studying....getting things done! The staff is very friendly and helpful. They make sure you are set up with whatever you may need. Local Office even offers quite a variety of snacks and beverages. Everything about it just puts you in a good mood!

Love this place!! Great, productive work environment thanks to the perfect noise level (very quiet, relaxed music with a super faint buzz of conversation). Plenty of options for seating/outlets etc. Also manager Paige adds great vibes with her chill and positive disposition. Highly recommend!

Im glad I found Local Office, its such a great spot to work when Im visiting Houston! The decor is well done, the chairs are comfy, and the coffee/snacks are always full. Also, the staff is super friendly and makes you feel right at home. Ill be back here every time I visit Houston and need a work space.

Im a freelance writer so have gone in on Day Passes when I have a big project and need to concentrate. Its a great atmosphere for work. Easy to find quiet areas, very easygoing vibe, comfortable seating. Was in there today and Chick FilA brought lunch and Crave brought cupcakes! Theres a big, friendly office dog, too, who makes the rounds. Ill be back.

I needed a place to work for the day before catching an evening flight. Local Office space was beautiful and inviting, and the staff was really accommodating! There are lots of amenities in the area and is easy to get to. I will definitely return if Im in Houston again.

Excellent work space. Used the conference room for a meeting and the co- working space after. High speed internet, coffee, snacks and wonderful staff. Currently attempting to squeeze it into my start-up budget. Hopefully I can make this my work home! Paige is amazing.

Awesome! I got a day pass to work at Local Office while home visiting family. Its a great space and adds a much needed amenity to the neighborhood. The private offices are quiet, clean, and provide everything you need to work remotely.

As a business professional on the go I am super impressed with the addition of the coworking space at Local Office conveniently located in West University. Blazing fast high speed internet is beyond awesome. They have perfect modern small offices to get your work done and even fully functioning private offices available for short term lease. The beautiful interior has a cool, hip, modern feel and the atmosphere is creative and fun, great for productive collaboration. Plus a coffee bar and available conference rooms make Local Office my new favorite spot to get my work and have a little fun. Check it out and I know you will be impressed too!!

I came in hoping for a good experience. After calling their phone multiple times, I drove to the space to ask for pricing as its not listed in the website ($229 per month by the way for regular business hours). When I arrived, at the top of the stairs, was a large black dog staring at me. It startled me because I would have had to walk over him and he was without a leash. Because Ive been bitten by a dog before, I try to be cautious. I called out to someone saying hello, someones dog, please and a white blonde lady with short hair asked me what I needed? I told her theres a dog there and she just stared at me and said this is a dog friendly place. And although I understand that and have even fostered dogs (post my dog bite) this dog was without a leash and was not wagging his tail, he seemed to be in protective mode. I asked the lady for membership prices and she told me its a dog friendly place, which I understand and its fine as I usually work in the evening. I was asking for 24/7 access pricing and she told me thats only for dedicated space desk, still no pricing was offered. She stared blankly at me. Mind you, this entire interaction was me in the middle of the stairs and her and the pup at the top of the stairs. At no point did she invite me in or move her pup out of the way. I was hoping this would work out because I didnt want a space in downtown but I ended up going with Sesh Coworking. Women-friendly and POC friendly and worth the customer service. Theyre prices are also a lot better. $199 for regular businesses hours, $229 for 24/7 access, and $389 for a dedicated desk AND 24/7 access. I ended up going with the dedicated desk option and Im happy with it. Local Office West U missed out on a customer. Please train your staff to be more inviting, respond with empathy, and to see the divinity in each human, whether or not they like or are afraid of dogs.

Great environment to focus in, and accommodating staff!!I typically work from home and got a floating desk here to get out of the house more, and its been great so far. The private offices are also cozy and nice to work in.

Had an excellent cup of coffee at Cavo, but was having trouble focusing in the buzz of coffee shop noise. Decided to venture upstairs to Local Office. Best decision I could have made! Beautifully, thoughtfully-designed space. Welcoming, comfortable vibe. Great ergonomic chairs. My day went from how am I going to get all this done? to happy and super productive. If I lived nearby, Im certain this would be my regular work spot. Such an upgrade from camping out at a coffee shop!

Local Office does a great job of offering a great coworking environment to both those who seek a private office as well as anyone who wants to set up shop for the day in the common area.As someone who operates a one-person-business, I feel energized and more productive working away from home in a sun-lit, well-designed space amongst other friendly faces. Also, the ability to connect with like-minded individuals and entrepreneurs is priceless.In terms of amenities - the fast wifi, printing, conference room access (at every membership level), coffee, snacks, beer, and free parking is really unbeatable for the price.Oh, and one of my coworkers is a dog so... win, win.

Local Office is unlike any of the other coworking spaces I have visited in the past. This one is very clean and in a perfect location with parking. It is in the center of Houston near lots of businesses and restaurants etc. Not just that but the offices have great office furniture that is comfortable and easily adaptable to everyones needs- there are a range of different environments to work in: conference rooms, small offices, phone rooms, a library and breakroom space that also functions as a lounge. The owner is really great at communicating and quick at responding. The interior of this place is very fun and comfortable to work in.. not to mention the coffee and high speed internet.Contact local office if you are looking for short term leases and not wanting to lock in to years in other office spaces.

Amazing experience! Cant waitttt to return! Pet-friendly, extremely clean, and beautiful! From having to call twice because I forgot to ask the right questions to arriving hours later than expected, I felt welcomed! I work from home; A fire caused a power outage in my building? Knowing the annoying time to look for a place to work in public is a hassle. I am so glad I found this place. The management here was gracious enough to wave my daily pass due to my circumstance. Talk about company support. I got so much done here. Great coworking space! I stopped in while visiting Houston through the one day pass, which was pretty affordable. It is a nice space with great ammenities and some cute dogs around too.

Local Office provides a great collaborative atmosphere to do business. I love their set up, the amenities they provide and the location is great! I looked at WeWork and Regus, Local Office is far easier to get in and out of and is more efficient for my needs! It’s also a bonus to support local small business. We just moved into our private office at Local Office, on Bissonet, in Upper Kirby. Could not be HAPPIER! It was a great “bang for your buck” as we shopped around a bit first. It is brand new and has fabulous amenities, snacks and beer for all day 🍾. Love the general vibe and staff is super helpful. Parking is easy and on-site parking, internet, etc. The best part, being in a community where I can network and meet other entrepreneurs, next door. So cool to watch this building transform from the windowless warehouse it was for so many years, to an incredibly well designed coworking space in the heart of West U. The location is phenomenal and the amenities are unparalleled: crazy fast high speed internet, free coffee, numerous small office options and conference rooms, flexible short term leases, and a fun environment that promotes collaboration and success for all members. Local Office rocks!

Very cool space and a great location. Toured the space for our restaurant operations business and it is a perfect small office setup with high speed internet and conference rooms and a great coffee bar. Everything we need for our small company.

I write software working from home. Sometimes I just need to get out of the house to focus in a different environment.Local Office has the best internet connection within 25 miles and you can use Ethernet or WiFi even if youre just there for the day. Their co-working rates are reasonable and the environment is a lot more professional than the average co-working environments.Relaxed, and high quality everything: seating, power, internet, snacks, drinks.Honestly, no one can match them in Houston for paid co-working.Also: Cavo is downstairs, top 2 coffee in the city, right next to Catalina.

I needed a space to conduct a virtual sales meeting using my computer equipment but that would be quiet and have WiFi. With little notice I contacted Local Office to arrange short-term office space. It went off without a hitch. I wished I could of give out of there long term as it would remove the distractions of my home office.

Had an appointment at 11:30am. Got there at 11:20. Sat upstairs next to the stairs. No one showed up until 11:37. So canceled my appointment to let them know i am gone with the same feedback
