Phils Good A/C & Heating came out and for almost $100 in 15 minutes to tell me the circuit board was bad in my central AC/Heat unit and that the part would be under warranty. The next day I got an invoice for $650 for installation charges (ONLY) of the new circuit board. I told them no Im not paying $650 just to install a circuit board. I called Hartford Services and they actually did some work and determined a fuse was blown in the unit. They even explained why it was blown. SMH on Phils Good A/C Heating

I should have read the reviews before I listened to 1 referral. AHS need to do better with their contractors. I guess Power Surge is their excuse for everyone a/c because they know AHS don’t cover it. Thank goodness I have homeowners insurance as well to replace my motor or entire unit.I went from being approved to have it replace to all of a sudden now it’s not approved because the technician changed his diagnosis because I wouldn’t go with the $650 out of pocket expense of getting a different size motor because mine would take 2-3 months to come in.
I recently filed a claim with AHS Insurance for my air conditioning unit. A technician was sent to inspect the issue and concluded that the motor was blown due to a power surge. However, I informed him that we have two surge protectors in place to prevent such incidents. Despite this, he maintained that a power surge was the cause and attributed the motor failure and my claim got denied.lack of thorough assessment and understanding from the technician raises concerns about the reliability and integrity of AHS Insurance. Based on this experience, I would advise others to carefully review their policies and consider their options before choosing AHS Insurance for their coverage needs.
Phils good is our choice of ac services. Lance is our service technician. He is an excellent tech and very professional. COMES within the times given, never late, most times earlier than given .
HORRIBLE experience. Just like many of the reviews. I was waiting for a part they ordered to come in after 3 weeks of no AC in the summer after the hurricane.I took off from work The day my tech was supposed to come in the morning. I get a call saying my tech had a medical emergency (understandable) and could not come and the next appointment would be after the weekend. Did not offer another tech to come that day until I asked that I needed AC fix urgently before the weekend. They sent someone finally after waiting all day for them, when I could’ve been at work.That tech goes to my attic and then proceeds to tell me that they ordered the wrong circuit board part... I don’t get it. They took pictures of the board days prior and still ordered a 2 zone board when mine is clearly a 4 zone. Now we have to wait for the correct part to ship in, THEN schedule an appointment. It’s now leaving me with many more days in the heat. I’m pretty sure they still won’t get the right part but we’ll see. All this without one apology or empathy on the phone with the lady at the front desk. Do not recommend.EDIT: Less than an hour after this post, I had the company call and tell me the part and technician are on the way to my place to fix the issue. The technician did a great job without issues and I finally had A/C in all of my rooms! I have to commend them for responding fast and efficiently after my complaints to them. Both technicians that came out were actually very nice and patient throughout the past couple weeks.
My technician arrived on time and was very professional. He took his time while locating the issue mind you I had two other companies come out regarding the same issue and he was able to diagnose it and remedy the problem!
I have had a bad experience with this company. The technicians who came to fix the a/c unit just made the problem worse. My upstairs a/c unit is located in the attic and I feel he purposely made it to where the attic door doesnt close all the way because we disagreed about where the unit was located. I admit I was wrong about the upstairs unit placement, but my kids shouldnt have to suffer in 80-degree temperatures, especially when its in the high 90s outside. The attic heat coming from the opening keeps my upstairs hot. Im not happy when my kids are suffering.I feel the whole issue could have been avoided if the guy (Joe) who originally came out and told us what was wrong with the a/c came to do the work. He was very nice and explained to us exactly what was wrong with it. My wife even requested him when she made the appointment.
Got assigned this company through AHS. The first incompetent tech had the system running for less than a week and it stopped the 2nd incompetent tech diagnosis was a power surge during that week caused the compressor to blow. No other item was affected in my home with this supposed SURGE. Of course they don’t accept responsibility so I’m out $3k to repair. DO NOT USE THIS COmpany..
This company came out 3 times to our home and tech reporting they have wrong parts. They dont check parts before going on a job? Also the techs come to your residence close to their closing time so when the issue is not resolve there is no way to report it because they are closed AND YOU HAVE TO WAIT LONGER FOR THEM TO COME OUT. We have been out of a/c for two weeks and this company has came out three times and nothing still has not been resolved. I definitely dont recommend this company. They do not communicate to you the issues of whats going on just leave abruptly. I HONESTLY DONT THINK YOU ARE CHANGING THE PARTS LIKE YOU ARE SAYING YOU ARE DOING. The techs leave very fast and they dont even stay around to ensure if anything is working. Today the tech said he change the zone board right after he left the whole unit stop spinning. I have a infant at home and the temperature is 93 degrees in here this is ridiculous to play around with this company and Im tired of getting the run arounds.

When my new gas furnace was installed, it was making noises. The tech did a great job to make sure that problem was fully resolved! They also have great customer service :).
Good service and very punctual. Technician tested all my heater vents and found that it was performing well even though I was staying cold. The vaulted ceiling and the draftiness of my old house are the culprit not my heater. He took time to explain my heater’s capability and some things I can do on my own to improve the results I get. A very honest company. A truly rare breed in this day and time. Would highly recommend.

The tech that came out did an awesome job explaining the problem, and what it took to repair it. This company called me with the status of the ordered part and returned to my house and fixed the problem in less than 5 days. Ill use them again.
They try to rip you off. $675.00 to cut and solder 2 connections. And $175.00 to slide a 4’ section of pipe insulation on a piece of copper tubing.
Home shield sent us to this company. We have been out of ac in our home for over a month, in Houston with a heat advisory. They took four days to even come out to see what the problem was. I was told if the parts come in from the warranty company that they would come on the weekend, as I stated I was nervous about the health of my toddlers and dogs.Now I’m told that even if the part comes in that they do not install on the weekends- so basically they do not care about our family and our suffering.When I call they take over ten minutes to even answer the phone.I will hold them liable for the safety of my children and animals.I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.So disappointed.I work with people that need recommendations all the time and I will be sure to tell them to stay away from Phil’s ac company and esp from American home shield.

I have used this company on at least 4 occasions. In each occasion, they were honest about what could and should be repaired instead of simply selling me a new unit. They have saved me thousands over the last few years. They have always forewarned me of any parts delays (that happens sometimes).I recommend using this company.
Good morningIm writing this poor review because on yesterday I explained to a guy over the phone with Phils that I have two young babies one and two and I just found out that my air in my home wasnt blowing cool and he was not caring at all nor helpful. The guy I spoke with at 1556 has very poor customer service. I explained to him that it was 102 degrees outside and my home temperature had reach 92 degrees inside and all he could say was we cant help you until Monday so what do you want to do? And he kept stating the same thing over and over with NO resolution. I cant in good faith recommend this company to anyone who doesnt care about here customers..
Fraud!!!!!!!!! I am with American Home Shield(and they sucks too!) and they assigned Phils Good AC to me for repairing the leaking coil of my condenser. because American Home Shield is only willing to pay to replace part of it I have to pay thousands out of pocket to get a entire condenser replacement. Phils good AC came and installed the first condenser, which turns out to be defective and does not work appropriately, and it sounds like it is gonna explode! so we called Phils good AC immediately and they came back and installed another condenser, which stopped working again in 30 days. I hired an independent contractor for evaluation and it turned out the condenser was defective and it has coil leaking when it was installed. I also called Phils good AC and they sent a technician for evaluation and admitted it. but then when I called back American Home Shield and Phils to schedule the repair, I was told I must pay another $350 for modification. It is not fair if the machine was a good one I should not be paying anything, so I replied that is not fair if Phils technician delivers another defective parts then I will have to pay again and again just to repair the same problem? And Phils good AC told me yes that is correct. It is so interesting how they deceive customers and deliver defective machine so they can use it as a dollar tree and keep charging customer every 30 days. Take my advice and stay away.
Through our home warranty company we were able to utilize this business. This past Wednesday we called to ask about scheduling, the woman informed my husband that it wouldnt be until the following Monday. Definitely not great with little ones at home. I called and spoke to her and with no guarantees, she ended up being able to get someone out THAT DAY! Amazing and appreciated! The fella who came out was really respectful and fixed our A/c issues and then informed us what steps to take to keep it maintained, but also our next move in terms of the issue we originally called about. Highly recommend! 👌🏻
After Thanksgiving weekend, we returned to a cold home. We discovered our heat was not working.Phil’s Good AC was assigned to come out and fix the problem. I received a text message with the date scheduled. The first day of the service call, I received a text from their office saying that the Technician was on the way. Their technician Robert, was assigned to the job. Robert discovered the problem. Further parts had to be ordered. Less than one hour The office called me to schedule the appointment. The next morning Robert showed up puncture and went to work. He did a wonderful job making sure that the Furnace was in top condition upon completion of the job. This business is running a scam. They work with American Home Shield insurance and both scam people. My AC stopped working and AHS sent this phils AC and the technician told me I have to change evaporator coil costingn almost 3000 and AHS would only cover 600. Called another tech and he told me its low on gas and there isnt any issue, filled gas and my AV was good as new. Stay away from phils bad AC and American Home shield. I have proof and quotes from both companies.
Our warranty company sent Phil’s Good out to repair our a/c. We asked the person who came out for a quote for a new unit and never received it. They took a look at our a/c and said one of the parts needed to be ordered. After calling them multiple days in a row the following week to get an update on whether our part had come in, we finally found out it was in but it would be two more days before they could come back out to replace the parts. Overall it was an entire week before they made it out to repair the unit with the new parts. The technicians were nice and appeared knowledgeable but this company just did not communicate well at all.
American Homeshield sent this contactor to my home. They were the second contractor sent out. My AC stopped blowing cold air. The first contactor came out and replaced a cap. The air was blowing cool most times but sometime would blow hot air. When it is blow hot air, you can hear a loud noise coming from the unit itself. I called ahs back and they were unable to get in touch with the first contractor so they called this company. They came out twice and said the AC was operating well. I called another company to get a second opinion and they stated that the compressor was not opening effectively and that the entire unit needed to be replaced. I think this company is here to tell me anything or just simply does not know what they are doing. I’m providing this post as a buyer be aware.
First off I am not sure why everyone else is writing this business horribly. I had an excellent experience! Sergio came out to my house the day after I called and was extremely polite, very respectful of my house, checked everything for me answered all my questions and overall was just an absolute fantastic representation of the company. The woman I spoke to on the phone was great as well.

Came across Phils thru American Home Shield. Technician ( name was Candy) was on time, truly professional and knowledgeable. He quickly diagnosed the problem and repair was quickly and effectively made. He then went over the rest of the system to insure all was in order. No up-sell like previous AC companies. So I want to extend my sincere thanks to Candy. You represent your company very well and are a great credit to them.
If I could give zero stars I would. I was assigned this company by my home warranty company. Multiple issues with their company. It took on average 25+ minutes to get them to answer the phone each time I called. They replaced one part at a cost I later was told was an upcharge of 4 or 5 times the actual cost. Then, after having additional issues, it was discovered they installed the part incorrectly requiring a different company to fix it. They also insisted I have part of my unit replaced. They worked the quote to charge me an addition $2k on top of what they were charging. Upon receiving two additional opinions to verify the need for replacement both other companies agreed that the issue was something totally different and that their invoice showed multiple charges of $150-$200 per part that was only $10-$20 each. I was also told by both companies that these parts were unnecessary and that their proposal was based on using a part that was incompatible with my system.Bottom line if you want a company that overcharges, doesnt do the job right, and tries to make you replace things that have nothing to do with the issue at a cost of thousands extra...theyre perfect for you. If you want a company that actually does the job right and doesnt take try to rip you off...look elsewhere.
My central AC went out the Saturday evening before July 4th. Placed a work order through my home warranty company (American Home Shield) and Phills Good was assigned to us. I called Tuesday morning and a tech was scheduled to come out the following morning. Mike came out, diagnosed the problem and had us up and running in about 15 minutes. Theyre courteous and efficient.
Quality work, skilled technicians, and great customer service! They were in and out in less than an hour. Lance and Ivory were polite and knowledgeable. We will be using Phils Good AC&H for any of our future A/C needs!
Excellent technician. Fixed it within 20 minutes. He explained all he did and gave me advice on how to keep my AC running smoothly. Called other companies and they couldnt show up for almost 5days. Phils showed up in 2days.
Phil and his team were fantastic. They had a pretty busy schedule the day I was scheduled for service, and came to my house in the evening. They stayed late to make sure the work was completed and had a great attitude. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality A/C repair guys.

Lance has been out to our home twice and both times fixed what we feared was a major problem that turned out to be very simple fixes. My point here is that when coming he too through that they would be major fixes and as he got into them he found it to be otherwise. He could easily have continued to repair the major fix that we were expecting and charged us hundreds of more dollars, but instead repaired the lesser expense of a broken wire! We have never had such amazing and honest service. We are selling our house and I will be leaving their name for the new owners. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.
One sorry company works for another I guess. American Home Shield works with this company and theyre both beyond awful. No one will answer the phone to schedule an appointment or answer questions about my A/C issue. I waited on hold for an hour with no response. Ive also emailed them and called earlier in the morning when they first opened just to be sent straight to voicemail. I have no A/C in this Texas heat. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Who runs a business like this? STAY AWAY!
Phils Good AC was assigned to repair our AC by American Home Shield. The tech Sergio was out within an hour of the 4hr window. He replaced our fan motor and had our home cooling in less than an hour. Thank you for the great service all around!!
This company has come many times every year, sent by AHA Home Warranty. Technicians can’t seem to fix this unit, it’s been leaking. Last week, the Technician came, vacuumed out the hose, didn’t even turn on the unit nor inspected it. Well, it’s still leaking. Today I have been calling to schedule a Recall per AHA; I have been on hold 20-30 minutes each call. They never pick up!
We were originally supposed to have someone come out to our house between 4-8. Got a call about 730 saying it may be later. No problem! Phillip showed up at 915 ready to work. He found the problem quickly and was working on it withing 20 minutes of arriving. I sat outside and chatted with him while he worked. He was extremely down to earth, and was walking me through step by step of what exactly he was doing. He didnt try to up sale me on anything. I thought it would be strange to have someone working on your AC at 10 o clock at night, but we had a great time visiting and within minutes of finishing up, you could tell a difference in our house cooling off. The fact they didnt push our appointment to the next day made me appreciate them and their staff. Phillip did a great job and would highly recommend using him again!
Our upper AC went out and I got ahold of American Home Shield who we have our home warranty through. They set us up with an appointment with Phils good AC & Heating. Thomas arrived and had the problem diagnosed and fixed within minutes!!! He checked to make sure everything worked before leaving. Overall great service! Highly recommended!!
We got assigned to Phils from American Home Shield and were pleasantly surprised how great they were. Typically the contractors sent from other companies cut every corner they can and try to leave as quickly as possible. Danny from Phils went above and beyond and left us in very good hands. Dont use this company.*****UPDATE***** They Quit! No notification. Had repair assigned to another company. Guess they really were incompetent.In short, they ordered and installed wrong fan motor. A pro should check these things. They didnt diagnose the circuit board and only guessed it needed replacement and it didnt. Finally, had they correctly diagnosed the fan motor weeks ago instead of focusing on the circuit board, the fan motor could have been here days or weeks ago.A professional company communicates, stands up and admits when they make an error, and cares. All lacking at this place.Just use someone else.
Made an appointment went them through my Home Warranty company. Guy that came out was great. Seemed to know what he was doing. Although he leaked quite a bit of Freon when he was attaching his high pressure gauges, enough to show and feel a difference after he left. Called that night and made a follow up appointment to look at my pressure and at the very least, replenish what he had lost. Great, lady on the phone made an appt with me for that very day. NOBODY CAME. Called and left a voicemail... no answer and no call back. Ghosted after and havent heard back since. Wouldnt recommend
I HAD to give a star to leave a review, so let me start by saying they dont even deserve that! This company is ran by the most incompetent set of people around. My warranty is through American Homesheild who chooses to do business with this sad excuse of a company. American Homesheild says they have had the replacement part for my AC system for over a week now. When following up on the slow execution of my repair, the folks insist they dont have the part. American Homesheild is saying its been there since a week ago. Its hot as Satans kitchen in Houston right now! There is no follow through, no trouble shooting to see whats the issue, nothing! They brush you off and show absolutely NO CONCERN. The worst! Do Not do business here! Run in the opposite direction for ANY service they claim to provide.
So grateful to Lance & Danny for coming out on a Friday night to fix our A/C. They found the problem & got us up & running. It was 86° in this house & we were miserable. Thank you to both for getting us back to a livable temperature. No A/C in So. TX in June is NO FUN! We appreciate the professionalism and efforts. Be safe out there & thanks again. AC wasnt working less than 3 months after a different company had serviced the unit, and when Phils came put, we learned why. Thorough inspection revealed the previous folks only did part of the job. Phils not only inspected, but also cleaned and charged the unit and it operates better than it has since we moved in 4 years ago. Awesome work and customer service!
I have used Phil for over 9 years; the last review I posted was 5 years ago. I purchased an old house in February 2022 and Phil came out and did a full service on the HVAC system. He fixed all the apparent issues and I was very satisfied.This week (early June 2022) the primary drain clogged and a leak developed; my evaporator coil did not have a secondary drain. This means I came home from work with a collapsed ceiling in the hallway. I called Phil at 5:30 and he made it to my house by 10 PM. He told me the issue and the solution. He was back the next day to replace the evaporator coil and put in a secondary drain.Phils professionalism and high quality work has been consistent for a number of years. I would highly recommend him as your go to HVAC person.five years ago--May 2017I have used Phil Good on more than one occasion. He does very good work and is very fair in his pricing. He finds the issue and tells you what needs to be done and gives you options. I have recommended him to other friends that need HVAC work.
I originally had a bad experience with one of their reps on a previous service this week for my AC going out and requested another rep due to this. Thomas, the 2nd rep, provided professional expertise, knowledge and was very helpful in explaining everything step-by-step. He completely turned my experience around and I will definitely look at using this company again solely because of Thomas.
My AC was diagnosed correctly with one visit and the part was replaced within a hour on the 2nd visit. My AC is now the coldest it has ever been. Thank You Phils Good A/C & Heating!
Terrible service for any case. Any company they partner with like American Home Shield will try their best to take advantage and over charge on parts or say that your warranty does not cover issues. Check your bills and reasoning for certain parts. They told us a power surge but don’t want to show any proof. We saw the fan take out the blower and even have proof of the issue but they are claiming “power surge” to make additional profit so that I don’t use my insurance. Read every bad comment. It’s the truth!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! ITS A SCAM!!! They know it!!! We received a second technician from another company who checked our system and said THERE WAS NO POWER SURGE ISSUES BUT NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. The second technician also AGREED TO HOW AHS works. They want to pull your system out of any warranty so the company AHS doesn’t give the customers any help but the AC company to charge customers their prices. BEWARE!!! It’s a SCAM!!! THEY ARE ALL IN ON IT!!! I even recorded both technicians and what their reports say and have proof of the lies between the companies. They also decline to show us any proof of a “power surge”. It’s an older AC system AHS does NOT want to cover. AHS just wants to make excuses on not doing their job correctly. AHS IS A LYING AND TERRIBLE COMPANY. PLEASE USE ANY OTHER COMPANY. SCAM ALERT!This company was requested by American Home Shield to replace the evaporator coil in our attic. Their quote to us of uncovered items from the warranty company included $500 for freon which I was fine with, but an additional $825 in modifications which should already be covered in their installation cost billed to American Home Shield.Apparently PROPER INSTALLATION of saudering the two copper lines and connecting the drain line are $825 dollar modifications passed on to you the customer.I called Phils Good AC company to dispute these modification charges and the two ladies I spoke with were clueless and also very unprofessional.Do not let this company scam you.....saudering the refrigerant and supply lines and connecting the drain line are NOT modifications and are included in most other AC companys installation costs.Having been around the AC business for over 10 years I am aware this is a very shady and pathetic practice to get more money out of home warranty customers.We requested a second opinion from American Home Shield and we are having our coil installed by Douglas Mechanical who laughed when we told them about the modifications that Phils Good AC company wanted to charge us for.
Service was arranged through Fidelity National home warranty. They called the same day to set an appointment and showed up on time the next day. Lance solved my problem (installed a new blower motor). I am happy to have my ac back up and running.
Had a terrible experience overall with them. We were recommended to Phil from American home shield and the experience has been a nighmare overall.It’s been multiple visits and the A/C unit is still broken 3 weeks later. They did a bad job inspecting the system and didn’t notice leaks nor old parts. If they were more thorough we wouldn’t have to endure the summer heat for 3 weeks

On May 3 a scheduled A/C system maintenance thru American Homeshield The technician came and the technician left can’t put it any different now here it is June 3 and my A/C is not cooling.I thought that was the reason for maintenance to make sure to prevent things from happening.I am a retired senior citizen my money is very important to me I am not happy at this moment Exactly one month.
Lance came out to diagnose and fix a problem with my unit in my attic that was causing a leak into one of my bedrooms and the bathroom. He was very professional and knowledgable about what was wrong. He explained everything to me. I cannot express how much it means to a home owner to have a professional that not only knows his craft, but prevents you from having to spend money on something that is an easy fix. Was on time and professional. As mine was a complete replacement of both heating, ac and duct work. There was some unavoidable inconvenience. With discussion and timing of work performed, inconvenience was kept to a minimum. I had bids from three. He wasn’t the cheapest or the most expensive but was the only one willing to do the nasty work in the attic correctly for a reasonable cost.I would use there services again.
Joseph showed up in unbearable heat and immediately got to work. Tracked down and fixed the problem without delay. Courteous and professional and knowledgeable. After a quick series of what I could only call a process of elimination he sourced the real issue. My problem was a section of corroded communication wires outside. The error code only stated sensor error. Thanks to Joseph.
So far working with American Home Shield, Phils Good AC showed itself to have more professionalism than AHS, the office Representative was pleasant and professional, I would call on Phils AC again
Technician came over to my home, I showrd him ehere the issue is at, he said that pipe is clogged and thats why I have leak, he spent 15min cleaning it and he left after that, in couple minutes after he left I walked into my kitchen discovering huge leak, I tried to contact them but it went to the after hours voicemail. 5 days without A/C now, porr quality of work.
AHS home insurance sent this company technician to fix A/C in our house.Technician Candido is very courteous and explained what the issue is and fixed right away. They gave same day appointment. Candido stayed some time and checked house cooling properly or not. If I can give 10 stars, I would definitely give.
I assume the only way this company remains in business is through warranty companies. This company knows that for work to get paid for by the warranty company that they have to complete the entire scope. Simple things like tying in a PVC drain line. This company is charging $775 to tie in the coolant lines and drain lines. I asked for an itemized list, they are charging $275 to tie into existing PVC Pipe!!!! OH! This is the discounted price LOL... Very unethical, they know they can charge what ever they want because the customers hands are tied with the warranty company.
The technician just left my house and fixed my relay switch on my A /C unit. This company does a good and quick job. Thanks again.

Phil’s Good AC has to be the best all around AC service in the Houston area. Very disappointed, after hours of troubleshooting, he decided that it was the Honey well thermostat that was faulty. After waiting for days to get parts in, he came to replace the parts, we didnt even know when he left, we came out of the room and the heater was broken again. I doubt he replaced the parts because when I went to the arctic the exact same blinking light that indicated the fault was blinking on the new thermostat.I got a one year old who is freezing to death. I blame American home shield from using them.
Excellent customer service and quick response time. My A/C ran out and with this Texas heat I thought I would have to check my family into a hotel. A friend of mine knew this guy and he came and fixed my unit that same day. God answers prayers! Will definitely be using these guys in the future.

THE WORST EFFING PLACE EVER. I have AHS for my home. The AC went out last Tuesday. After many calls going unanswered, they finally come 2 days later. Mind you it’s the middle of August in Texas and I have 3 kids and pets in my home. The guy put Freon and called it a day. Obviously it wasn’t fixed. After 6 days living in a hotel with my kids and our dog, someone comes out and “fixed” it. Stopped working less than 24 hours later. Nobody came out until another 24 hours later. This guy says the outside unit is leaking and he has to call his boss. He calls and then leaves.I am NOT happy. We had to get 2 window units on top of all the hotel money we’ve spent and NOW a hurricane is approaching. This is the most useless company there is.

The most incompetent HVAC company Ive EVER had to deal with. Absolutely worthless!And before I go on to review them I want to point out all their stellar reviews that Yelp has identified as fishy and chosen not to show. Good work on Yelps part because they reek of being fake.I got stuck with these folks through American Home Shield (AHS). I called them out after having a small gathering for my granddaughter birthday and all the guest we visibly uncomfortable and fanning. But no matter how much I lowered the temp the AC couldnt achieve a temp low enough to cool us down.They sent a technician and I use that term extremely loosely, who poked around inside and outside and told us nothing was wrong with the AC. He explained that since it was nearly 3 digits outside that day this was why the house was warm which made absolutely no sense. Within 4 hours of leaving our home was sweltering! I had to have my 90-year-old mother with dementia stay with another family member because it was just unbearable.I called livid the following day asking for someone who knew what the heck they were doing and they had the unmitigated gall to tell me that a more senior tech couldnt come out until Friday. It was Tuesday. In Houston. In the dead of summer. The only option was to have the same tech out again which I knew wasnt gonna go well.The tech arrived the following day and this time added a half-pound of freon. I have no understanding of HVAC, heck the fact that I can even recall what HVAC stands for is a miracle. However, I knew that a half pound of freon wasnt gonna do jack. Sure enough Sunday afternoon our system went out for the third time!I called their emergency line and of course they didnt bother to answer or call back. Long story short I called AHS and asked to have another company.I cant overstate how worthless this company is. Save yourself a headache and money and get a real HVAC company.

The customer service is horrible. Never recommend to anyone. My home warranty assigned them and I scheduled appointment with them but they came in different time than the appointment and they give new appointment 1 week later. Horrible

The A/C unit issue has not been resolved for over a month. They have come to our house to replace the compressor twice and our A/C unit is still not cooling our house. Not to mention, after they replace the compressor, they did not check to see if the compressor was working. We had to call them almost every day for an update of when our parts were coming in to replace the compressor.P.S I dont recommend a tech named Thomas, his the one that came by multiple of times.
My home warranty company sent them out. The technician explained everything including the stats the home warranty company accepts to replace the condenser. He answered all my questions.

Left a disabled Vet without AC. Tech came and didnt know what he was doing. Kept calling his boss who was supposed to come. All of a sudden ran out the gate saying. Ive gotta go Ive gotta go. They told me to leave His boss never showed up. Called out another AC guy and the tech had released 4lbs of freon and oil was all over the pad.Dont hire these people!!

Poor Customer service, this company has been to my home over 10 times in the spanned of a month for them to repair my AC. Ive called them today do the AC unit stopping and they hung up in my face, kept declining my calls and refused to tell American Home Shield to replace the unit.
Phil did a good job and was very polite . He answered all my questions and told me about the problems with my unit. He came on time and left the work space clean.
Every technician that has come out has been so polite and helpful. Most recently, it was Barry. He got here when he said he would and fixed the problem.

Come down to check out the problem, get paid $75 , they don’t get me back for the quote. Almost three weeks. Just walked around for 30: minutes and walked away with my money.

I finally got my Air Conditioner unit fixed, very poor communication between the company and customer thats me.I called there company like 20 times in 2 weeks and for being persistent the part come in, they send someone to put the compressor the part I was waiting for 2 weeks.The only thing they do have great technicians Thomos and Mike they are the best thank God for those type employees the do have thank you Thomas and Mike..God bless you both...

I have American home Shield insurance/protection on my home and all my appliances my air conditioner was not cooling the house properly so American home Shield referred me to Phils good AC while the technician came out here and told me that I had a leak in the compressor of Freon and that my house was going to blow up if the leak continued he told me that American home Shield would not cover fixing my air conditioning unit but he gave me a business card of his friends that could get me a new unit for $3000 The technician that was sent out to my house had to call the office three or four times and office manager talk to me on the technicians work phone three times asking me questions this company Phils Good A C is not honest not reliable they try to scam you for cash and then they want to refer you to their buddies claiming that your home insurance/warranty doesn’t cover these products advise everyone to join me Complaining to the Better Business Bureau and to see to it that Phils Good A C does not victimize any more people in Texas
Did not do well on fixing my ac issue. Didn’t work after one day. Can definitely find cheaper and better options.
Got a recommendation from American home shield to use them run as fast you can they are simply horrible I am not the only saying it I wish I had read the reviews before I called abysmal.
