LBJ Construction LP

We have used LBJ for projects large (screened in back porch addition) and small (anything around the house that I can’t do myself in 30 minutes or less). Over the past 7 years we have been consistently impressed with the whole team’s professionalism, honesty, timeliness and quality of work. Drew has been our project manager for the past two years and he is our first call when we need help with anything related to our home - and he is unphased by our cast of household human and animal characters. We recently had a challenging leak in our bathroom and Drew worked diligently to solve the problem. We are so appreciative to work with the LBJ team!

Their customer service is horrible. Do not spend money for a company who cannot communicate internally.I asked them to come for an estimate to rebuild our garage. For all fairness they arranged somebody for the same morning. I asked the lady I talked to not to ring the bell before 10:00 AM since my wife had a very critical meeting. They said OK. Then I called again and asked for a couple of minutes of flexibility. She said OK. Their guy was at our door at 9:30 AM, and did not even know about 10:00 AM appointment. When I called back and asked for a supervisor to provide feedback, the same lady picked up the phone and said “our people are not allowed to check their phones while driving…you do not have to work with us” and at that point, I said that is OK, I do not want to work with you now. Their guy was still there when I first set up the 10:00 AM meeting, and he claimed that he did not even know about a 10:00 AM meeting time.

They started my remodel at the beginning of the lock down. They worked everyday. They were amazingly clean--vacuumed and mopped daily. Everyone wore booties, gloves, and masks. Craftsmanship is of the highest quality. I was notified early every morning of who would be there that day and the approximate time. The disruption to my home life was minimal. Everyone was professional, thoughtful, and helpful. They brought the project in right on time. I could not be happier with the process (their project app is amazing), the people, and the end result. I never thought I could say this about a remodel contractor.

LBJ has been my go-to for all handy-man projects around the house. When my contractors walked off during my renovation, they stepped in and finished everything with great quality. They have done everything from fencing to electrical work.

I have used LBJ Construction for many projects over the years, from new carpet and paint, to building an entire custom home. I am always beyond satisfied with the professionalism, friendliness, and quality of work received. Whenever someone is looking for a recommendation, I always send them to LBJ Construction.

LBJ was doing work on my upstairs neighbors condo unit, and they broke a water line and flooded my condo unit, causing significant damage. The good news is they have insurance, and my claim is being paid out appropriately. They seem like reputable contractors who made an honest mistake.

I’ve worked on a couple of projects with LBJ, big and small, and I continue to be beyond pleased with their work. They pay attention to details, keep me well informed and updated and quality of work is great. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a contractor!

Drew Gomez was an absolute dream to work with during our project and now on the little things we are changing after moving in. He is always on time, responsive, respectful and efficient. We feel lucky to work with him!

Very poor knowledge of structural works and even worse attitude. I have had two contacts with LBJ construction, neither pleasant. Yes, I was so desperate after Harvey to have contacted them the second time after the first poor experience. The first time, I was doing an estimate on remodeling. There were various places to be fixed in the house. The guy from LBJ demonstrated such a poor knowledge about the issues (e.g., dry wall repair, deck board replacement, siding fix, patio repair, insulation) that even I know he was wrong. He couldnt even tell sprayed foam insulation from fiberglass!!! So I didnt hire them. The second one was brief, after Harvey. I was desperate in search of a contractor to help with the flooded house. When I called LBJ construction, the lady who picked up literally said Im busy, dont bother me. And she was yelling. That was among the rudest calls I have ever had in my life. This company deserves to go belly up.

Breck Powers and his team have my complete awe and respect as local Houston builder-remodelers. LBJs high integrity, high standards and customer service are well-known. LBJs CEO is an industry leader - he has served as President of the Greater Houston Builders Association Remodelers Council. He is a man of God and a worthy leader in his family, church and community. We had LBJ construction do some small jobs around our house. So disappointed. They reworked some of the crown molding and painted it to match the rest of the molding (see results in picture). We asked them to fix it multiple times. They never did even though it is obviously shoddy work. We wont use them again.

Id rate this 0 if I could. Lady was semi rude and told me they wouldnt be a good fit after I asked if they left felons unattended in homes . Good job on losing a couple hundred thousand dollars for your company. Highly do not recommend this place, pretentious and acts like they are too good for you.

Breck, Sue, Dylan, and their team built our new, custom, 4900+ sq ft home in North Braeswood after our small, ranch-style home was flooded in Hurricane Harvey. They were INCREDIBLE every step of the way. Cant recommend them enough.

LBJ handyman installed a dog door. They arrived at the appointed time and did an excellent job of installing the door.

What a great company! They worked with me on all our repairs. Weve had them back 3 times. I highly recommend LBJ!!!
