After using Mendiola Remodeling for painting and other miscellaneous upgrades to our house when we relocated to Houston in 2023, we asked Miguel and his team to work with us on a kitchen remodel as well as adding doors to our home office. For the kitchen remodel, Mendiola Remodeling demoed the entire kitchen and butler’s pantry, built custom cabinetry, installed new appliances, lighting, electrical outlets/switches, under cabinet lighting, backsplash, and flooring. As with our previous experience with Mendiola Remodeling the quality of work and attention to detail was second to none. My wife and I have previously done kitchen remodels on homes in Pennsylvania and West Virginia - Mendiola Remodeling’s quality of work exceeds the level of quality we’ve experienced with other contractors. Also, the office doors installed by Mendiola Remodeling look like they have always been part of the house. We would definitely recommend Mendiola Remodeling for any renovation project.

When we started our kitchen remodel project, we contacted three different companies. Mendiola Remodeling was the third company we reached out to. When Miguel dropped by, we told him everything we wanted to do with the kitchen, and he proposed some additional ideas we hadn’t even considered. We liked them all, including making our tiny pantry a foot deeper with pull out drawers, flattening our two-tier countertop into a much larger, single level counter, and moving our microwave to a hanging cabinet next to the fridge in order to add a stylish hood in its place over the stove.On day one, Miguel’s crew came out and demoed the entire room all the way down to the studs! During the entire project, they were very mindful of protecting everything outside their scope of work, including putting up a clear plastic wall to partition the kitchen from the rest of the house. Each day, the guys would come in and work diligently, and they always cleaned up any mess at the end of the day before leaving.We are very pleased with the results! Mendiola Remodeling did an outstanding job bringing our 1980’s kitchen into the 21st century. They were very professional master craftsmen, paying special attention to the most intricate details, and the level of artistry and craftsmanship - as you can see from the photos – went well above and beyond our expectations!I highly recommend Miguel and his crew for any remodeling needs, and we will be contacting them again when we remodel our bathrooms.

Miguel and his team did an AMAZING job on our upstairs bathroom. My grandma recently passed away so we had a senior tub that needed to be replaced. They removed it, put a shower/tub combo back in, tiled and painted. The entire situation was stressful and sad however, not knowing the situation Miguel and crew made it very seamless. If I could give Mendiola Remodeling 10 stars, I would! Miguel and his crew did a fabulous job on completing/remodeling a home we acquired in Waller County, Texas. Miguel gave us a fair quote and a timeline of approximately 4 months to complete. He met this timeline with very few delays. I presented him with an unusual challenge; which was to complete the remodeling project 100% in Texas, while I was in California. This included shipping supplies to his business location, coordinating deliveries, verifying the right materials were delivered, and in tact. Also, communicating with me progress and/or challenges faced. He succeeded without fail! His workers respected my property and did a fabulous job on the exterior and Interior of the house. Ill conclude by stating; if you want a superior job done, with great communication, look no further than Mendiola Remodeling! You wont regret it!

When we started with this journey of remodeling our home, we contacted several companies to come and give us some ideas on what needed to be done because we had no idea what it would take to get it started. After we spoke with several people, we noticed that no one really took interest in the things we needed taken care off and quotes were never given. For the ones that did show up, they didn’t show any interest in what we needed explained, they just wanted us to make the decision right there and then, we felt very pressured this is the main reason we picked Mendiola’s Remodeling and Construction. I would like to thank Miguel with Mendiola’s Remodeling and Construction for my new house! I am so excited to tell you what a wonderful experience I had working with him. My house was built in the late seventies, 2 story 3 bedrooms and 2 ½ bathrooms. We never had done much to it but just what was necessary at the time. A little paint here and there, replaced carpet with linoleum tile, just some manicure things to make the house look presentable. When Miguel came over and started giving us suggestions in what he could do, I was amazed. We added a full master bedroom and bathroom downstairs, remodel the kitchen, and replace the floors. Miguel explained things to us, he emphasized on how he remodels not just cover and manicure things. Miguel has a lot of knowledge, and his workers are amazing. We talked about what we wanted done and what I needed done due to my health. He is a person that listens, goes over things with you and works diligently on his projects. My master bedroom has a full-size shower, vanity table with sink, a bathroom, and a full-size walk-in closet. Did I forget to mention a porch with a ceiling, lights, and a ceiling fan, it’s looks wonderful. Words can’t cover everything, he has also fully remodeled one of the showers upstairs, and we love it. We had leaks in the pipes when he saw them, he approached us, and we came to an agreement, and he ripped all downstairs and the bathroom upstairs too. He also replaced the ac/heater unit for the main house and for my master bedroom he added a separate unit. My room is fully insulated that we haven’t suffered from the cold weather these days… amazing! It is important to have constant conversations with your contractor to better understand everything that is involved as your house is being remodeled. Invoices and agreements should be in writing to protect both parties. Miguel is a great person who you can trust, we never bothered with the paperwork and permits because he took care of them. I am very pleased with his work and recommend him very highly.Thank you, Miguel, for all you’ve done and I know you have taken a lot of consideration with my needs the safety handles in the bathroom and shower, how high the vanity table needed to be the same with the kitchen. Mendiola Remodeling & Construction remodeled my living room and I could not be happier. Every aspect of the job surpassed my expectations. Miguel has put together the “Dream Team” as every person that came into my house was a complete professional and the work was flawless. Miguel kept all the different crews (demo, HVAC, electrical, structural construction, cabinetry, drywall, painting, etc.) on schedule and they even finished ahead of schedule – even with several changes I threw into the mix.Mediola was the final Contractor I met with and prior to meeting Miguel I was leaning heavily towards another company. I had a general idea of what I wanted to do, but Miguel took my project to the next level with his vision & suggestions, while remaining within my budget. He made suggestions along the way, and was clear on what each “add on” would cost. I added on a handful of different things to this project and they still finished 2 days earlier than the original target.It’s never easy living in a house while there is a major renovation going on, but Mendiola minimized this inconvenience with their prep work and daily clean-up. After purchasing our home in Texas, we sought a general contractor for renovations. Hiring Mendiola Remodeling was an excellent decision! When our designer didnt work out, Miguel stepped in and redesigned the entire house. This included designing a new apartment over the garage, changing the layout of the main floor and bedrooms (creating two primary suites downstairs), and designing the chef’s kitchen and designer closets. After completing the design, Miguel proceeded to rebuild the entire home, gutting it to the studs and then entirely rebuilding it.For the beautiful designer kitchen, Mendiola Remodeling built custom cabinetry, installed new appliances, lighting, electrical outlets/switches, under-cabinet lighting, backsplash, flooring, and built an island. For the apartment over the garage, Mendiola Remodeling designed a suite with an added closet, storage space, and dormers. The entire home’s electrical system was replaced, as were the water lines, and all new air-conditioning systems were installed. Miguel’s crew replaced the roof, installed a new gutter system, rebuilt brick walls, updated the exterior of the house, and completed many other tasks. The quality of work was excellent, and the craftsmanship and diligence were amazing.Communication with Miguel Mendiola was easy and quick. He communicated progress to us almost daily and informed us of challenges immediately. Upon facing a challenge, Miguel not only informed us but also suggested solutions. He proposed ideas we hadnt considered, and we appreciated his suggestions. Miguel ensures things are done right, not just covered up. His experience and knowledge are evident, and his work ethic (and his crew’s) is unsurpassable. He treated our home project as if it were his own, spending countless hours addressing our questions, walking through the house with us, and discussing multiple issues to meet our desires and expectations.Miguel always offered great advice and vision as he worked with our changes. Miguel Mendiola and his crew have done a great job not only with the actual design and workmanship but also with great advise as to what not to do!Every day the crew cleaned up all areas that they worked around and they were very attractive to our needs.Definitely recommend Miguel Mendiola for any and all home remodeling projects no matter how big or small it is!

We called Miguel with a vague thought about turning our laundry room into more usable laundry/mudroom for a family of four. Miguel came over within a week and turned those ideas into a blueprint of exactly what we wanted. The project involved moving the existing washer/dryer connections, adding a second set of connections, removing a wall and broom closet, adding cabinetry along two walls, installing granite countertops, new tile flooring, and remodeling the attached powder bathroom. I would highly recommend Miguel and his team. Any time there is an issue he is very transparent and generally offers multiple solutions. This is the second time Miguel has come through for us and we will not hesitate to call him again.

I recently hired Miguel to replace the old flooring in our home from water damage, and I couldnt be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and professional. Miguel had excellent communication, kept me informed at every stage, and answered all my questions. The work was completed on schedule, and the new floors look amazing and have completely transformed the look of our home. I highly recommend Miguel and his team for any flooring and renovation projects.

Ipaid him 32 000 out of 45k and he had even put one a roof yet. Then he wanted more money and I told him no. He rannmted around taking pictures of his incomplete work and never came back. I did stop payments on a few payments to him but left what was worth in the work he did. I had estimates from 4 other contractors and I took back for work that he didnt complete. The subfloor was installed upside down. There was no electrical, no plumbing, no insulation, no flooring, no shower, no no ceiling, not anything was done to the interior at all. Except for some drains, for plumbing were installed. The roof was leaking like crazy after they actually did the roof. There was lots of other problems too that they didnt care about. And when the money finally stopped, thats when he stopped trying to rip me off and never came back and ive never heard from him again. Its been a whole entire year and he didnt get me permits**update... so never heard from him again but heres what Ive done since on my own... City is letting me keep it and its fully permitted with stamped plans Ive painted and working on it soon. I added one new pictureDid ok work. Hes great on interior stuff. Obviously, the reviews here are great. Put the subfloor down upside down. Didnt get permits. Left me halfway done before he had to do electrical and plumbing in our new addition. He hounded me for another payment, and I told him not until he does electrical and plumbing. He threw a fit and left never to return. I wonder why... I paid 68% of the total, and he had only completed the frame, siding, and roof with 6 windows. Nothing else. The deal was to complete the entire project to completion. Now I find out theres no permits. He said hes licensed and had to do things the right way. I should not have trusted him, but hes very personable. I like his workers too. Its just a very bad situation all around. Now Im waiting to see what the city says I must do to keep it or if I have to remove it. This guybdidnt care about anything but getting fast money.

They came out and fixed broken pipes. They did a good job and cleaned up before they left.This is an update, Had Mendiola Remodeling come back to do more work and could not be any happier with the work on my house, it is like new. Had new siding, windows and roof on the outside. Patched holes and repainted on the inside, It all looks new again.The quality of the work is top notch, also they are very good at cleaning up as they go.

Let me start off by saying Mendiola Remodeling saved me. I had a unfinished bad experience with another contractor and so I decided to get on the BBB to look for a contractor and this is when I found Mendiola Remodeling. Called, and Miguel Mendiola came out to my house. I explained to him what a unfinished project I had going on, he took over, explained everything to me, and he was very very detailed. He arrived when he was suppose to, did was he said he was going to do, always supervised the project, and was reasonably priced. Also not to mention he’s very knowledgeable and knows the job. He does quality work and doesn’t cut corners. Takes pride in his work and it shows. So glad I found him and will continue to use him for other home projects.

I was very nervous about talking to companies about a new patio cover. Miguel with Mendiola Remodeling was very professional and honest when he came to talk. He answered all my questions. We checked with the BBB and learned Mendiola Remodeling & Construction, LLC has been in business 19+ years, has a 4.73 star rating out of 5, has ZERO complaints with the BBB, is an A+ rated business, happened to office nearby, had insurance, a great administrative team and things looked good that wed choose them. 4.9 Stars on Google, etc.DECISION MADE TO HIRE MENDIOLA REMODELING: After consulting with Miguel Mendiola, seeing some of his portfolio and willingness to have me contract past clients, we hired them to only remodel our kitchen, living and dining area. Including custom cabinets, paint, ceiling damage repair, recessed lighting, baseboards, crown modeling, knocking out a wall to reconfigure our space, adding additional custom cabinetry, install new appliances and replace the old doors. My husband and I tried to hire several contractors, before being referred to Miguel with Mendiola Remodeling. From the VERY first visit, we were absolutely impressed! Miguel was extremely knowledgeable about what we wanted to do with our home, and offered excellent HONEST advice. It was very apparent that our happiness was more important than just doing a job. Every single tradesman that came to our home was polite, professional, and performed excellent work. Miguel was quite busy, but still managed to get our multiple jobs complete, on a crazy tight timeline, and finished up earlier than expected. He and Manny, stopped by frequently to ensure everything was being done correctly and to the highest standards. He even personally patched/fixed my fence after a portion came down with a storm. I cant say enough good things about this company. Working with them was such a great experience, especially after having been let down so many times by other highly recommended contractors in our area. We look forward to working with Miguel again, and have already begun referring him to anyone looking for help. Update to say we also asked Mendiola Remodeling to replace our fence, and it turned out beautifully!

Mendiola Remodeling & Construction was referred to us by a co-worker and they did an excellent job on several additions to our home. The crews were very professional, they cleaned up every day, and the work was extremely high quality. Miguel was great to work with, he was always honest and transparent. He always made sure to answer any questions or concerns that came up during our project. Our original back patio was just a 20’ x 20’ concrete slab. We had Miguel add an additional covered patio extension (15 x 20). During this process, they uncovered a structural flaw that was missed during inspection and helped us go back through our home warranty to get it corrected. To the extended patio we added lighting, patio fans and a full outdoor kitchen that included a sink, drop in grill, pizza oven w/wood storage, spot for a smoker, refrigerator, and kegerator/tap. We now have an amazing outdoor space to lounge in the shade by our pool. Inside the house, they extended our kitchen cabinetry about 8 matching the existing cabinetry. This included backlighting and glass doors & shelves for display. We even ended up having him re-do our existing backsplash after seeing the difference in his work and the original backsplash installed by our builder. The final piece of our project was the addition of a small temperature-controlled wine room off the side of the house with entry from our kitchen. This whole structure was added to the house and includes a cooling unit thats housed in our attic. The wine room includes a small bar with cabinetry and wine racks that will hold 350 bottles. Overall, we were extremely pleased with the quality and professionalism provided by the Mendiola team.

Mendiola Remodeling and Construction helped me out with a kitchen renovation which turned out beautiful! I had worked with previous contractors, and had bad experiences. A waste of time, and money. Would have liked to have found Mr. Mendiola from the start!

We love our new porch room! We sit in this room every morning, drink coffee, open the windows and listen to the birds without being bothered by mosquitos or other bugs. We had a vision for this room and with the help of Mendiola Remodeling, it turned out better than we dreamed. Mendiola Remodeling provided a great design for this room that met all our requirements. In addition, they added unique design features that we did not think about such as how to connect the hallway to the garage and the porch more efficiently. They drew from many years of experience with remodeling projects to make an excellent addition to our home. The quality of construction was outstanding in every aspect from the foundation to the finish paint. It is very convenient for us to walk from our kitchen to the porch room without having to go outside. We love the maximized windows including custom built triangular windows. The direction of the room is perfect for watching the sun rise yet it does not get direct afternoon sun making it more enjoyable in the hot afternoons. In this porch room, we have options of using the ceiling fan with the window open or close the windows and use the mini split HVAC system. The room and additions were completed with high quality at a reasonable price.

Mendiola Remodeling & Construction did a fantastic job with the remodeling of my master bathroom. Since day one they worked with me and literally redesigned my bathroom. This being my first time doing a major remodeling project they took the time and explained everything to me in addition to having great communication throughout the remodeling process. Because of global shortages some of the items I needed to buy were in back order but they were flexible enough and worked with me on delaying the start date to accommodate for this. I cannot say enough praises for the wonderful working crew this company has. Each one of them were very respectful of my home and very knowledgeable. I’m very happy with how my master bathroom looks and will definitely use this company again in the future.

I myself own a remodeling business. My professional photographer discovered that Mendiola had plagiarized photos from our website for use on their website. My photographer and his attorney sent them a letter informing them of copywrite infringement. Matter has yet to be resolved.

Love my driveway!!! Working with Miguel with Mendiola Remodeling was easy. After getting letters from my association on the bad driveway, I hired Mendiola Remodeling for the job. The company handled everything from drawings, permits, and all the necessary things!!! They were conscious about the rain and weather and the crew works clean!!!

I normally dont write reviews, but I hired Mendiola Remodeling to put in a new fence and they were amazing! They were professional and respectful to me, my family and neighbors. I really satisfied with the patio concrete, and patio cover built by Mendiola Remodeling. Miguel, the owner, worked together with his team on site to ensure things were done right. He went to great length to build the cover as high as possible so my living room not as dark as I was originally thought.

We hired Mendiola Remodeling to renovate our master bathroom, including re-insulating the walls, changing the layout and building out the closet. Miguel gave us a good impression right from the start, working with us to design the room, explaining the process, and detailing the job in the contract step by step. His guys were efficient, on time and cleaned up after themselves every day. They took the time every day to put up plastic and protection to catch dust and keep the house clean. Every one of them knew their trade and did quality work. We were especially happy with the carpenter who built the custom vanities and the closet shelving, his work is beautiful! The painters also did a fantastic job priming and finishing all the cabinetry. The whole room looks exactly like we wanted, and we have peace of mind knowing that even what you can’t see is done to the same high standards as what you can. Before finishing up Miguel walked through the room with us and made sure we were 100% satisfied with everything (including making sure some slightly skewed handles were straightened). Very happy with the finished product and the process was as painless as we could have hoped for, I’d definitely recommend them for any remodeling projects.

We used Mendiola for our outdoor patio project, which involved building an outdoor kitchen, extending the roofline, flooring, etc. We loved the results and cant wait to enjoy the space for years to come. The final project exceeded our expectations. The quality of the work was the best part of working with Mendiola. All of the workers were professional and skilled in their respective crafts. We were also able to get guidance along the way from Mendiola as to the various options for granite, stonework, paint colors, flooring, etc. They really have good vision when working on a project like this. We had a very unique custom project and therefore decided to get many quotes before hiring a contractor to perform the work. When Miguel first came out to discuss the project we could instantly tell he was very knowledgeable and wasn’t trying to sell us anything. He gave suggestions and recommendations and really cared about helping us bring our vision to life. Miguel treats every project as if he, himself is the homeowner. You won’t find another contractor that cares about your project more than he does. We ended up making some design changes from the original plans and he was patient and accommodating. His crews showed up when they said they would and worked hard in the Texas heat! Any hiccups we encountered along the way-he made it right. He is extremely focused on quality. These guys don’t cut corners or do shoddy work. Miguel is as honest as they come and extremely trustworthy. We were highly impressed with the final outcome and couldn’t be happier. During the recent freeze event , Miguel and his crews promptly repaired our leaks. The following day, he called to check on us and the repairs. Having Mediola Remodeling & Construction as a contact for repairs at our home is a very comforting feeling. Thank you Miguel and crews.

We wanted to completely gut half of the first story and make the kitchen, dining, and breakfast rooms into one big open space. However we hada bad experience with contractors in the past and were very hesitant on starting a new project. We met with Miguel, who by the way was the only one out of 5 contractors to call and say he is on his way instead of just show up couple of hours later like the rest of them. He listened to us took our requests made some suggestions and together we came up with the final design. He made some great recomendations and saved us from making costly mistakes.Once the work started I knew I have picked the right person for the job. We did live in the house throughout the entire remodel. His guys were very professional and respectful of our house. At the end of every day they will clean up after themselves, pick up their tools and remove all the garbage form the yard. Miguel would often stop by, check on the progress and chat with us about the process and if we had any concerns. He even rolled his sleeves and helped his guys with the framing on a Saturday.The remodel was done a week ahead of the schedule. All the work is really high quality, finishes are spotless and we have and amazing kitchen.We will only be using Mendiola Remodeling & Construction for all our future projects!!!

Mendiola remodeling did an awesome job!! They remodeled my bathroom from a tub to a walkin bathroom and they did everything they said they would do. They alway cleaned up at the end of the day. The crew was very courteous and respectful!! I highly recommend them!

Mendiola Remodeling is simply the best. We were new to Katy and Miguel and his crew were recommended to us by our realtor. They built an addition onto our patio and added recessed lighting and ceiling fans. They built a pad for our new therapeutic jacuzzi and a door to access it from the master bedroom. All their work is done to perfection at an affordable price. Miguel has a eye for detail and design and all of his suggestions were spot on. Our outdoor patio is beautiful and ready for grilling and football season. In addition to building our outdoor patio, they painted our interior, replaced toilets, hung new lights, built in a wine refrigerator in our butler pantry and built in a drawer microwave. Sitting in my jacuzzi, I decided I needed a new fence to go with my beautiful patio and he did that too. And of course, it was done to perfection and will outlast any storm we might have. I saved the best for last, Miguel also helped us design and build our bourbon/wine room. We took a bedroom and put down wood floor, wood accent on a wall, recess lighting, directional lighting, wine racks, bourbon racks, antlered chandelier and an 8-foot glass door. It was something we had wanted for a long time and Miguel made it happened. I have referred him to others and he does not disappoint. Miguel and company is great to work with.

We had our shower in the master bedroom remodeled by the Mendiola team. Miguel initially came and showed us many options. His initial guidance was crucial since we were not really sure what we wanted. His suggestion on which store to go to buy the tiles and flooring was excellent. We were told that the work would take about 2 weeks, but the team worked efficiently and completed it in a little more than a week. The staff were clean, organized, on time, and friendly. The furniture was all covered to ensure the dust from the work would not spread all over the place. The new shower is much larger than the original, much to my pleasant surprise. They even installed a ceiling exhaust fan. And the work was done with excellent quality. Thanks Miguel and team. We are very happy with the results.

After 20 years we decided to make over our outdated and builder grade kitchen. Miguel took time to explain his vision how to better our kitchen. His vision and quality of workmanship was on top. We tore our house down to the studs to change the whole layout. Miguel was able to reimagine the layout in a way that blew my mind. His crews work exceeded all my expectations. Professional and very knowledgeable!Miguel came out personally to meet me and quote the rehab on a property I was considering for purchase. He showed up on time, demonstrated his knowledge and experience as we walked the home and he listened to all my requests for what I would like done, while offering suggestions on how to best utilize various spaces.Unfortunately the repairs exceeded the budget for the deal, so I passed, but Miguel earned my respect and Ill certainly be calling him as soon as I came across another project.

On June 21st 2023 @ 8:45 pm a furious wind and rain storm raced across our subdivision resulting in two skyscraper Pine trees falling on our home crushing the entire back half of our house. The next morning at first light the construction company on our street came to assess the situation and stated they could handle the rebuild. It was not until the restoration was under way that other construction individuals and neighbors said this rebuild doesn’t look right and that I should consult a home inspector. Once the inspection report enumerated all the problems incorrect nor up to code, we contacted a highly recommended contractor, (MENDIOLA REMODELING & CONSTRUCTION) and proceeded with removal of unsatisfactory structural roofing, walls, wiring, plumbing, and patio the previous contractor installed. This is one recommendation that resulted in my home being restored with a new roof, windows, wiring, flooring, walls, & kitchen as new and meets all statutory codes and inspection. It’s no wonder that the workmanship carries a BBB A+ rating.

My husband and I recently relocated to the Katy area from Pittsburgh and needed a general contractor to update and repair several things around our house (20 year old home that had not had much upkeep or updates in the last 5 to 7 years). After being referred to Miguel by a work colleague, we worked with Miguel on a long list of projects - painting the entire house (including all the painstaking work on the trim, crown moldings, and railings), installing and replacing light fixtures and fans, repairing and painting built in shelving and office nook, repairing scratches in the hardwood flooring, fixing electrical outlets and installing new GFCI outlets, installing new hot water tanks, replacing the broken water softener system, repairing the broken irrigation system, running a new water line for the pool auto fill (so that water from the water softener wasn’t used to fill the pool!), and adding new insulation to the attic.Miguel and his business partner, Rene, also added a smart home / entertainment system (Control4) to the house that is truly top of the line and makes living in our new home so enjoyable and will be wonderful for when we host family and friends - speakers throughout the house for music and broadcasting sporting events, smart TVs, surround sound for our game room, lighting controls, garage door controls, and room to expand to add other smart home features in the future.Not only did we have a huge project list for Miguel, but we also had a tight timeline for completing a significant chunk of the work before we moved in. Miguel met all our timelines and his crew was flexible working around us to complete the projects after we moved in.Throughout the entire process, Miguel was very responsive and professional and became a trusted advisor for all things related to our home projects - Miguel’s crew does excellent work and we know it’s being done the right way. We also appreciate that Miguel will also be honest and frank with us when we come to him with an idea - we know he’ll tell us if there is a more cost efficient way to accomplish what we want (while still doing it the right way), and he will tell us if there is a better way to do something.If you have any sort of construction or remodeling project, we would definitely recommend Miguel and Mendiola Remodeling & Construction. We’ve done other renovation projects at our our prior home, but Miguel is by far the best contractor we’ve worked with. This was our first experience using a professional contractor, but we are more than pleased with their work!!! Our project consisted of closing off a cathedral ceiling over our living room to create a new game room upstairs; opening up the downstairs floor plan by removing a wall and installing a support beam; enlarging the kitchen island, retiling the entire downstairs and creating a new walk-in closet. The whole project took about 2 1/2 months to complete (there was unfortunately a 2 week delay due to Covid-but thats the world we live in so we couldnt fault them for that!).When choosing a contractor for such a huge project we looked for someone who was reliable, professional, and offered high quality work, and we feel Mendiola Remolding checked all the boxes.Finding a contractor in todays market is a nightmare, but Mendiola Remolding made it almost too easy. Miguel showed up the very next day after we contacted them (no waiting for weeks just to have someone come look and then never call you back with a quote) and was able to give us a quote THE SAME DAY! Renovations started within 2 weeks of signing the initial contract which was super nice. The crew was here almost everyday and if they were going to be late, we were usually notified. There was consistent communication with Miguel during the process, which was really important to us as well. Whenever we had questions he always came over to explain or at least talked it out over the phone. Was there hiccups and unexpected issues? Of course! But, Miguel always made it right!!! Trust their process!!!I cant not say enough about the quality of their work! I have been told by many neighbors that my house looks like its always been this way, which is a testament to the quality. The changes are seamless and that took everyone - the builders, electrician, roofers, painter and tile guys!!! The old saying goes something like you can put lipstick on a pig but its still a pig. My pig is gone, and Mendiola Remolding did that.

A local glass company recommended Mendiola Remodeling to remodel my 30 yr old master and guest bathrooms. In master, I wanted to remove my Jacuzzi tub, replace with walk in shower. 2nd time working with Miguel and Mendiola Remodeling. The first time he installed wood-look tile flooring throughout the downstairs of my home and painted. Since he did such a good job I used him again for my next project. They renovated my bathroom, with new paint, newly tiled shower, undermount sinks, custom vanity/cabinets, granite countertops. I also had the wood-look tile flooring extended to both downstairs bedrooms. It all looks amazing! They stayed within my budget and had no unexpected additional costs and finished the project within the agreed upon time.

I have used this company twice. First time was for high outlets for my wall mounted Tv. They did a good job which made me hirebthem again to fix my leaking kitchen sink.They fix the sink but didnt finish the job. They als replaced my soap dispenser which was not broken. The new one broke in 1 week. They never came back to finish the job, never offered any explanations and never came back for the balance either so thats good with me.

Very solid work. Final product looks great. Very old bathroom, so once the walls were opened, some other damage had to be repaired, but it was well done and solid. I would recommend this to anyone wanting their bathroom converted to a walk in shower.

Requested a quote from this guy to get an estimate for a major modification that I am doing, he promised to go see the project but when I called back to confirm the appointment, he was so rude and basically told me to find someone else then hung up. If youre not going to respect your word, dont make promises. It does not cost anything to be polite to people.
