I discovered GreenWorks while looking to get a residential foundation inspection. The level of service from beginning to end was top notch. They quickly got me on their schedule and set my appointment. Mike Taylor came out and performed the inspection. He was early for the appointment, which I appreciated. Mike was incredibly knowledgeable, professional and very thorough in his work. He also answered any questions I had. It was a pleasure working with Mike and I would definitely recommend him and GreenWorks to anyone in need of home inspection services.

We had John Leslie for our one-year home warranty inspection. He was very patient and answered all of our questions in detail. He did the sewer inspection and also checked our roof with a drone. When we called them to make the appointment, the staff member who answered the phone also had a detailed discussion with us about what package would be the most appropriate for us. Strongly recommend GreenWorks and John, and will want to use them again for future inspections.

Mr. Jim Lauffer was my inspector for my Phase 3 closing inspection for my new construction home. I was happy to hear that my home was good to go and only had cosmetic issues. Im terrified of having mice and I made sure to ask him if particular places were entrance points for vermin which he assured that I shouldnt see a problem with mice or any pests. Highly relieved :).As a first-time homebuyer, it was nice to learn about the home that Im buying and to see how things work. Mr. Jim was kind, courteous, and enjoys what he does.Hope to book him again for my 11-month.

I recently had a new build inspection & blue tape done with GreenWorks. It was a breeze working with them. Our inspector Matthew was very thorough detail oriented and very friendly to work with. Also he was super fast in sending over the report, we got it within the hour of inspection completion. I would always recommend their great team!!!

This is my first experience with any type of engineering company. The people have been very kind and patient as Ive fumbled and stumbled and probably not put my best foot forward. John Leslie was assigned to inspect a commercial building I am considering purchasing. He was on time (in fact a little early). Great inspection by Jermaine!I am in the process of purchasing my first home and GreenWorks Inspections & Engineering was recommended. Jermaine reached out to me ahead of time and let me know that I was welcome to meet him at anytime during the inspection. I meet with him 30 minutes before he finished. Jermaine took his time to explain every thing in his report to me. He color coded all the repairs that he found and any areas of concern. The report was easy to follow but still in great detail. He then proceed to walk me around the house, inside and out, to point out all the things in the report. His service was top tier, professional and very respectful. Highly recommended!

We were able to schedule an asbestos inspection the day after we called GreenWorks. Our inspector John was very knowledgeable and flexible when it came to taking wall samples for asbestos testing. He was able to minimize the impact that taking wall samples would have on our family by taking pieces from places not accessible to our children. He worked around our active and messy kid-filled household and knew a lot about the construction methods and materials typically used in homes like ours (1950s ranch). Very happy with his service.

Enjoyed using my lawn mower and blower on day 1. Had and issue with my trimmer, but after troubleshooting the issue, they replaced it. Will be out in the yard at sunrise to give the trimmer a go.To me that speaks volumes of their customer service support! Looking forward to trying other projects in the near future.

Jim Lauffer was excellent. The technology they use is exceptional. He did a thermal scan of the walls, checked the elevation in the corner of each room, inspected all working appliances and plumbing including the sewer pipes with a camera. The best part was when he did a roof inspection via drone.

The home inspection for our home was done by Brett Schmutz . He was super professional , took his time and ensure he covered all the aspects of our home. He came in well 30 mins before his scheduled time and was diligent with everything. After he was done , he explained about the entire inspection. Brett was super patient and answered all our questions as well . Overall I would recommend Brett Schmutz from Greenworks for all folks in Houston.

This company has definitely opened my eyes to a new experience in ensuring the well-being of my property. The extensive insight is VERY helpful. Mr. John Leslie (my service guy) was completely entertaining and professional throughout the whole process. I enjoyed his professionalism and his down to earth personality. Don’t expect the inspector to point out for visible problems in a mold infested kitchen. I know mold testing is extra but not reporting these fruits all over the kitchen is egregious .New home buyer here and not happy with not a mention of this. Apart from this there was visible mold in the furnace that emits a pungent odor. Still trying to resolve this after closing. Could have been helpful information before closing on that house.

Mike was very good.. he was very knowledgeable and inspected the house in detail. He expires us everything and made it much easier for us.. Will definitely recommend to others.

They helped my buyers get a structural engineers report for their fha loan and were professional, quick to respond, we’re able to get an engineer out to the property in a timely manner, had reasonable and fair prices, and even had a rush report option (for a fee) if you need the report on the fly. Breanna helped the lender and me during this entire process and was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. Thank y’all so much for all your help!!

From scheduling to inspection, we had a great experience. Jamie was incredibly pleasant on the phone, offering us opportunities for cost savings for our specific situation. Our inspector, Jordan, was thorough, kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. I wish we found Jordan before we hired someone else to inspect our current home when we bought it. I had the pleasure of meeting Jordan for my home inspection. Not only was he very thorough with the inspection, but he also was personable! I just recently had to get some testing and inspection work done for my home in Houston and I reached out to Green Works . First impression was fantastic as I got. Ms Shelly on the phone and she was very helpful and professional, appointment set up was easy she explained everything clearly. Next came the best part which was the inspection, gentleman by the name John Leslie , inspector sent to do the sample collection.He took his time and was very professional and explained everything that he was doing . I couldn’t have been happier that they sent this gentleman for the inspection. I would recommend this company hands down . I contacted other companies before I got to Green Works , they all had scheduling issues and one even showed up unprepared to do the testing and never came back .

John was AWESOME. Took his time did a very thorough job. In all the inspections weve had or been involved in, he was by far the most thorough and detailed. You will not go wrong using John. Originally we were doubtful, the cost was a bit more than others, but when considering it included a second, 11 month inspection it was two inspections for a tad more than others. Would use him again in a heartbeat.

Jeff is simply amazing! We had him for the pre drywall inspection of our new home and his attention to detail is incredible! With 15+years of experience he is extremely knowledgeable about shortcuts that builders take in order to meet deadlines for new homes, and he even had our digital Inspection report written and emailed to us 30 min after the inspection was complete! Can’t put into words the quality and professional level of service Jeffrey provided. He was able to answer all my questions and is very knowledgeable about mold and even shared precautions regarding counterintuitive information that could exacerbate mold. Jeffrey was also stopped from entering my apartments by a maintenance person who insisted he had seen to it that the mold was remediated in my apartment (while I was present escorting him) and he handled the situation very calmly and professional while also helping advocate for my right to inspect the safety of my apartment - a situation that had gone on for too long without proper remediation. From the inspection, thoroughness, and quality of documents/ reports and guidance on overall process of remediation he was truly a blessing in a stressful time. Thank you!!

I called Green Works to test for mold in our apartment. Jeff Marquardt, CPI, came out and was very professional and thorough. He took the time to listen to our concerns and gave his professional opinion on what to do and the type of tests he could run to find out what types of mold were present in the apartment. As he promised, we received the results quickly and could make decisions on what steps to take moving forward. I highly recommend Jeff and Green Works to anyone that is looking to have this type of testing done for their current residence or future residence.

Would give zero star if possible. We scheduled an inspection with greenworks for Tuesday. Tuesday came, we received text message notification that Hector is on his way to the house to be inspected. Yay! We later drove out and arrived at the house to meet the inspector and discuss the inspections results, only to find out that no inspector came to the house and it’s a complete no show. We called the company and finally got a hold of someone who can speak to us. The manager lady offered us $10 discount and asked to reschedule! We, on the other end of the phone, just completely flabbergasted at their response to their grave mistake, said we will take our business elsewhere. So we canceled it. The next day we were surprised by a full charge of about $500 from greenworks on our credit card, and spent all day trying to get a hold of someone who can take that charge off our card. We were put on hold because someone went to lunch, or someone is in conference, or whatever reason they stuffed us with. Finally able to talk to someone who can responsibly say we will get our refund ,not immediately, but in a few business days. For a company of such scale and reputation, this whole ordeal makes you wonder just how much of it is of falsehood.Later we learned from our realtor that he has never encountered anything like this in his whole career and the inspector we eventually hired also confirmed that it’s unheard of in his career for a scheduled inspection to be a no show.To think that this could have adverse effect on getting inspection report back in time for repair negotiations before option period runs out, I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone who values their time, money, and like to have things done in a timely manner, i.e. , professionalism.

Gabe was fantastic! We booked on Saturday and he was able to come out the next day to do our house inspection. He was extremely knowledge and thorough and was able to walk us through everything. He was super communicative and friendly and was able to answer all our questions. It’s stressful buying a home and having a good inspection is vital. I used GreenWorks for a home inspection after being recommended by a friend. The inspector, Kevin, made the entire inspection process seamless. He was on time, friendly and thorough. He explained exactly what he was going to do, and proceeded with the inspection right away. He took his time but was efficient. I shopped around before deciding to go with GreenWorks but Im so glad we did. They have different packages to choose from, which we appreciated - other places only had a one-size-fits-all process. Their prices were really fair. We went with the package that includes everything - house, roof, foundation, mold, pool, etc. They accommodated us on short notice and came the next day. They sent multiple inspectors to cover the 5000 square ft property and 21k square ft lot in just a few hours. These inspectors are phenomenal. They are so pleasant, timely, respectful (greeted us, put shoe coverings on, introduced themselves, explained the process, and went to work), knowledgeable, and focused on the task at hand. Im very detail oriented so I sincerely loved the reports they sent.They check and photograph EVERYTHING. Then they send a report about how much each fix might cost. We got our reports (4 reports) between 1 to 6 total days -3 business days-(including a 3 day holiday weekend). I highly recommend this company.

John is WONDERFUL!!! I was unable to make my home inspection, so the inspector was leave to his own Devices. John left NO stone unturned. Some things I’m worried about, some things are DIY. He went over and above checking out this perspective house. GREAT work ethics. I would recommend him to EVERYONE!

He notified me of his estimated arrival and was prompt for my appointment. He took his time completing my inspection and I am grateful for his attention to the smallest details that were almost impossible to see without his expertise in his field of work. The professionalism he displayed during my appointment was great as he explained things in a manor that I understood. He identified various things during my inspection that shows how awesome he is at what he does. He actually took the time to point out some of these items when I may have appeared confused. This is a phenomenal company to work with! It was my first time ever installing a beam and demoing a wall. Stephanie has been a pleasure to work with and helped me through the entire process. We even had a personal situation come up that delayed the project a year and Green Works reworked the plan for us no questions asked. He took his time with the inspection to make sure he did a complete inspection to catch any and all potential problems with the house and went over every detail so that I could bring it back to the sellers. Being a first time homebuyer I did not know what to expect, but I did not expect the inspection or inspector to be as detailed, laid back, confident, knowledgeable, and friendly. The seller requested a second opinion for the foundation. I scheduled an appointment with Greenworks at 530pm for 9am the next morning, then called and cancelled at 7pm after speaking to my RE agent. Greenworks still made certain to charge me $100 for canceling w/out 24 hours notice even though the appointment was made for less than 24 hours later. You simply cant trust a company that nickels and dimes customers and as such I wont be calling these people for any service ever again. Free tip: Dont bother with home inspectors. Just call tradesman out individually. its more to schedule but youre not paying some guy who only knows a little bit about plumbing and whos going to recommend you call a plumber anyway. Plumbers, electricians and septic all charge about $200-$250 and are readily available for an inspection whereas home inspectors like Greenworks are going to charge you $900-$1500 depending on the service and then have you call someone else out who actually knows what theyre doing anyway, so do yourself a favor and skip the middleman.

I googled best home inspection houston and GreenWorks Inspections was one of the results w/ the best reviews and now i know why. really responsive and thorough with their inspection, including photos, and recommendations for contractors for each repair with pricing estimates AND they helped me setup my utilities. this is the first time ive ever bought a house and they made it so easy for us. what seemed like a long, time consuming to-do was made so simple by this company. highly recommend them. totally worth the price. 100 stars, if i could. thank you guys so much.

Used his services twice. The first time was a good experience and we didnt go forward with the home after the inspection since the repairs would have been around $70k. We were late for the second inspection as we were coming from 90 minutes away, which must have made him not care about doing it correctly, especially since he had a commercial inspection scheduled after so he only took another ten minutes to inspect the house after we arrived. He was there for maybe 45 minutes altogether for all we know. We ended up buying the house instead of another one since the inspection seemed passable, only to have our AC maintenance person tell us we should replace the unit and furnace since the AC was 15 years old and full of mildew or black mold, with rot on the attic ceiling, and no drainage pipe. What really gets me is he thought the rot on the ceiling was a burn or smoke stain, and he didnt even notice there was no drainage line for the AC to let the condensation out. We ended up getting screwed by Rotor Rooter with buying that whole set up, so now we owe $18k for the new AC, furnace, and pipe set up which will be $30k after interest (Its not a good idea to have to finance something so expensive right after closing a house, since your credit goes down considerably after the purchase which is why the financing on this unit is disgusting. In fact it is a big reason why you should try to negotiate any repairs with the previous homeowners based off the inspection just in case you are getting into a situation you can no longer afford like we did). Getting burned by two different companies after being a first time home owner is heart breaking. I absolutely DO NOT recommend Kevin. In fact I am thinking of pursuing legal charges!

Easy to work with, online scheduling available which was great. I was asked to reschedule by the seller at the last minute but Greenworks was both understanding and accommodating of this request. At the time of my inspection, both inspectors at my site were friendly and seemed well prepared. They were both able to address some small concerns and respond to questions confidently. Michael seems to have taken his time with my inspection but still got the report back to me SAME DAY.

Updating my review: In April, I spoke with someone about postponing service for a week. Didnt show or call. No one answered their phones for weeks. I get a random text from someone saying theyre now taking over their clients because they cant handle it anymore. After getting my payment information taken care of, its another few weeks before Im told they dont service my area. For months, Greenworks took my payments knowing this was in the works and did not care to make sure their clients were going to be taken care of. So basically, they were dishonest with their clients and took their money. I have called and called and filled out complaint forms and they refuse to contact me.

Hired green works for structural engineering report and all I received was a photo of one of my concerns for $500.They never replied to my emails after they sent the report 3 days late.I feel like i was scammed by this company. I do not recommend this company. Still waiting to hear back from them for a refund.

The inspection report we received did identify some minor problem areas that needed to be addressed, but also was filled with tons of boilerplate language and information that appeared to be simply copy and pasted and was meaningless to the actual situation and house being inspected. A few leaves in the gutter merited as many photos as the AC unit!The inspector also made mistakes, such as stating the fireplace was wood burning, when the gas jet is readily apparent, so that wasnt even tested. A photo from the attic with assumed mold growth led to a recommendation for another inspection by a qualified mold inspector this time, which costs more $$$ of course. It ended up being easily identified as dust and dirt, but frightened us that there was mold in the home.Most every item in fact suggested we explore it further with a Professional and certain items that were very subjective did leave us much confidence in the inspectors findings. Overall underwhelmed and will not use GreenWorks in the future.

I took hole inspection package for my new home and they did finish final inspection but there is no opening for dryer vent in my new home and inspector didnt find this and we have been using dryer without vent opened to outside since last three months. I am not sure what is point of these inspections. I am not happy with this inspection

Used these guys to get an engineering report on a home I was purchasing and the quality of the work was subpar and I’ve had to call back multiple times and deal with terrible customer service. I recommend choosing a firm that actually does an inspection and not an elevation test passed off as an foundation inspection.
