Read reviews sometimes sold my house to buy their house closing date was push out 4 times so I have to stay in an bnb for almost 3 weeks in Houston costing more than my monthly mortgage they insure they will pay me back for the inconvenience few weeks pass and nothing they cant even give you an answer. If it was just $1000 I could understand but $2900 and yall trying to ignore it every time I ask its outrageous. If you like peace of mind avoid them

If you are looking for a new home, please dont buy meritage builder. I started having issues 4 years after building my dream home. Had to go back and forth a million emails to get someone to come check on the reported leak. Very ignorant. First they brought someone to figure out the leak and pretended fixing it. Next rain boom leaking again. Then they brought someone else after million requests. Pretented fixing it, no issues for a while and it started leaking again now. When i checked, they said its out of warranty. Haha joke. My good advise is dont spend your valuble money on Meritage builder. It dont last long without issues. Before you know it you will end up with a million issues.

DO NOT BUY! We sent our earnest money on June for our house and they swore the house was going to be ready on September/October. As we checked the progress during those months, there was so many delays. We requested our earnest money back and we still havent received it! Its been 4 months and we havent seen no check!

Called the main office number in Houston and someone named Brooke answered on Tuesday, June 26th at 9:56am. You need to review her. She was extremely rude and terrible customer service. Made us completely not even want to go view the model homes because of how rude she was. We are ready to buy and this terrible place will NOT be on our list of options anymore. Terrible customer service. 0 stars. Brooke should be fired immediately. You definitely just lost a sale

Bad Experience.1. Their inspectors are likely to misguide you to close quickly with defects and get their sales commission secured.2. Meritage sends message to write review before you know your house..3. ALL in my sub division was provided with RING VIDEO DOOR BELL . Except my house. I did not know until now that builder provided those. May my construction Supt gave mine to someone like my drop zone area.4. My master bed room Plumbing is defective , may be in experience plumber. and when I indicated to const supt, he misguided me stating it is fine,,5 . Attick Ladder on 10 ft ceiling height are installed with incorrect Manf. part no. This Makes impossible for average height person to lift up or down ladder without a ladder and lots of muscles.6. Your Air condition Systems: Watch locations of return air and air register. they are too close than it is in efficien in cooling room although your AC is running and you are paying electric bills .7. Few more ..................

Worst experience in buying a home for the first time in Texas. Did not set the right expectations, not good customer service, lack of communication, no empathy - name it all. Fake apologies is what it felt like when I was closing.On my closing survey I let them know I would not recommend to family or friends. They took a month to ask me why LOL. Truly one of the worst experiences I have had in my lifetime... Was looking into investment opportunities too.. Sigh - deff going with another builder next time.The only good thing was the site building manager at my home (Todd).

Closing was moved back multiple times. Sales guy was great. The rest of the Meritage experience was pretty bad. One would think by using their in-house lender, their in-house title company & them being the builders that the process would be super smooth.

Stay away and choose another builder. I regret purchasing my first home with this builder. Everything is very poor quality. It’s funny their mission statement states “ To create an exceptional experience for our customers” they do anything but this. When you’re buying they’re great but after you’re stuck with a poorly built home and you need the warranty Dept to step up they are so FAR from exceptional.

May have decent floors plans in nice neighborhoods, but as soon as you sign a purchase agreement on one of their houses, they will treat you as if you were non existent. They will say that theyll be there for you through the process and promise you the best customer service around, but that wont happen. Lie after lie and if you try to present a solution for their errors, they will just ignore your calls, emails and complaints. This is a $450K house in Miramesa. They got their signed contract and theyre happy. Clients on the other hand, irritated and disappointed. An expensive lesson learned.

We have basically had to rebuild most of our home because of all the shortcuts they took. Every time a service is done, the quote seems to be, Why did they build/install it like that?.

Absolutely liars and cheaters.I would never buy from them ever again.They over promised and under delivered.Taxes wasn’t paid from them. Absolutely horrible.

They made a mistake during closing and are now not returning emails or calls after closing.

This was the worst buying experience,Conroe,Tx.

Worst customer service you can get it from this guys..no commitment and professionalism for this guys..please be careful
