Had Bob come out and do an estimate on replacing 3. 15 ton commercial units with the air handlers very professional estimate . Waited till the temperatures were ready to shut down for three days came in on Thursday and removed the three air handlers and three outside units and installed new units and was up and running Saturday evening. Also installed five return airs across the building had lots of logistics of removing air handlers in show room And coordinating everything works smoothly cleaned up after yourself. Very polite and very professional. Would recommend them anytime and even called after the job and came out and Wi-Fi the thermostats with the app. Really appreciate the customer service.

So our power tripped 2 weeks ago after the storm, but it was a sunny day. I think they were fixing a different side of the neighborhood and so I power blipped, but that blip cause our ac capacitor to blow. Without ac from 4-12am with kids, good thing we had a window ac unit to hold us off.My wife search Big comfort Texas and when she told me someone’s coming at 9-10pm i was like who?! Are they trustworthy? She said they have good reviews. I was skeptic just because our usual ac guy doesn’t even do 24hrs. Long story short David showed up at 11pm. Dude he is so nice! Love the fact he told us what happened, and what to look at. Awesome guy almost 70 and passionate about fixing things and he has awesome old time stories! Do NOT use this company. I run a small grassroots non-profit pet adoption center that adopts out pets pulled out of local municipal shelters and off the street. Our AC went out on 8/6 and Big Texas Comfort came out to look at our HVAC unit (which is on top of the building). We were told by the technician that we needed to replace the fan motor & he didn’t have the part. We scrambled to move 37 pets out of our facility that night because of the heat. The next day we were told by Big Texas Comfort that the part was back ordered 6-8 weeks. Our team scrambled to find the part, even posting on our social media pages for our followers to help. We decided to get a second opinion. The second company that came determined the only problem was that the reset button on our unit needed to be pressed. They were able to successfully fix the unit in less than 5 minutes. Besides not knowing how to properly fix the unit, the Big Texas Comfort technician left our unit without the protective panels on and with parts disconnect. We were told if it would have rained our whole unit would have been fried because the panels were left off. Also those panels are heavy and our building is tall. If the panels would have flown off the building, they could have destroyed a car or seriously injured a person. Attached to this review are the pictures the second company took of how our unit was left by the Big Texas Comfort tech. We are left in complete disbelief of this company’s negligence & disrespect to our property. If we would have listened to them, we would have likely had to close our doors (because 6-8 weeks is a long time to be closed) & our unit would have been fried because it certainly would have rained in those 6-8 weeks. Please do better.

They did a great job however I felt due to the age it was time to replace my old unit so I hired Big Texas Comfort who gave me a fair offer and installed a new American Standard Unit. My furnace broke so i called Big Texas Comfort for heater repair and my heating was working and my home warm 2 hours later, for a very reasonable price. This is the first time I tried Big Texas Comfort. I was looking for a new a/c company since I had become unhappy with my previous one. So glad I found them! Technician David came out the same day (even though I told them it wasnt an emergency). It took him two days (close to 3 hours total) to diagnose the problem because it started raining the first day, but he only charged me for the repair. He also gave me two repair options, including one that was half as expensive. No pressure to buy a new system (like the previous company I had been using). Very honest, and I was surprised at how little he charge me.

Every step from the estimate to prep work to install was met with the greatest work ethic...AND the entire crew was so polite and friendly!! I got three quotes from different contractors to replace my AC system in my home and Big Texas Comfort’s price was competitive. The equipment they quoted is made domestically and is widely known for its high quality. They did a great job installing the new system. They also ran flex ducting to and connected two new air vents that I installed myself and they sealed my return air vent. Prior to the installation Bob, the owner, took time to discuss various options and to answer all of my questions. He also took time to gain a complete understanding of my requirements. I decided to upgrade to a heat pump system after learning about the benefits from Bob. The area of my attic where the air handler is located is unfortunately very tight and difficult to work in. He took several measurements and photos of this area to ensure the unit would fit correctly. Bob made a recommendation to improve the performance of the system by adding a second air vent grill to the return; which I decided to do myself. Bob was present for and oversaw the installation and made sure everything went smoothly.

Had two wifi thermostats I needed installed in my home. Will did an amazing job. Was quick, came out the same day, and took care of it for me. I have been using Big Texas Comfort for a few years now, and their customer service is awesome! The best example is when they came out and fixed our air conditioner over Memorial Day weekend. I left a voicemail early Sunday morning and didnt expect a phone call until at least Tuesday. They ended up calling me back about a half hour later and someone was at our house by noon. I bought my house several years ago with the A/C working fine even though the A/C unit was over 20 years old wow right, do keep in mind me and my wife were first time buyers and did not have much knowledge so we went ahead and kept everything as is. Till last year durning Covid, our A/C started acting up and sucked the electricity like a big alligator mosquitoe lol. So me and my wife several months ago called another company they came and quoted us 13,000 dollars!!! I was like oh no. The other company wanted to replace everything including the furnace which is working properly and charge us all these other things and I still said no. My wife went ahead and called Big Texas Comfort back in March 22nd of this year. Bob and his wife responded quickly and came over to my house personally to give me a quote. Bob was honest which I like people that speak the truth building a trust and quoted me a replacement of the evaporator coils, A/C unit and added a upgraded thermostat, and we also added an air tent in the attic and found the price amazing. Since we did not have the funds to pay since Im the type to pay out of pocket, so we waited to raise the funds. Yesterday May 7th of 2021 I went ahead and called Bob and his wife and they answered quickly in which showed me they do value their customers. I told Bob and his wife I will be going ahead and be using their services, in which they said yes and scheduled me for next week which I was fine with that, but received call not even 10 minutes later that they had an availability early in the morning the next day May 8th which was perfect. Bobs crew came out today early in the morning and on time like I said they do value their customers and finish the job a little over 4 hours which I personally prefer they take their time and complete the job properly and not in a rush. My wife instantly felt the difference when the new A/C kicked on and thanked the crew. Bob personally came out and assured everything was done properly which made me feel at ease and answered any questions i had and if I had any other questions to give him a call. BTC did a great job on the installation of a new AC and furnace system in my home. Bob was honest about the service I requested. He suggested that with whomever I choose that I should go with a 16 SEER or better and I had the same feeling based on research I had done. I had several other companies come out for a quote and evaluation. Everyone assumed I wanted the lowest cost, but I wanted the best value. BTC was not the cheapest because I chose the 16 SEER American Standard and everyone else only quoted a 14. Bob also quoted a 14 SEER because I requested it. Im happy with my decision. Bob himself was present for much of the job. I highly recommend Big Texas Comfort and their American made product.

Did an awesome job fixing our heater.The previous owners of our home changed the control board on our heater and it was causing problems with our ignition wire. Big Texas comfort came out the same day we called, worked very hard to fix the problem, and since we had to wait a few days to get a part in they gave us a temporary solution so we weren’t cold. I highly recommend this company. A couple of months ago they came to replace two 7,5 ton exterior units. There price was below all the other bids, but the workmanship and service we received was phenomenal. These units were placed at Fountain of Life Christian Center, the church that I pastor.

I called big texas comfort at 5 pm because I had some water spots forming on my ceiling and thought I had a clogged drain. David showed up just after 6 and went through all the details and found out that I had some restriction in air flow causing condensate. Problem solved. He then diagnosed another bigger issue Id been having which was lack of air to my living room. He installed a damper on a duct that was missing it and redirected air from some over blowing vents to the under performing one. Its only been an hour since he left and I can tell my living room cools better now. David was very experienced and very kind. Would 10/10 call and ask for David for my next issue.

We were referred to Big Texas Comfort by a co-worker who has used the company several times, all successfully. After having a monthly servicing contract with another Houston-area company, we decided we would ask them to quote us for a new A/C unit after having come home one day to no A/C at all. We also got a quote from Big Texas Comfort, and without saying how much we personally spent, Big Texas Comforts quote was around $4,000 LESS. It helped that a co-worker highly recommended the company, too. Bob is the owner, and he took the time with us, answered all of our questions, and knew what he was talking about. Hes been installing A/C units for close to 40 years having started with his Dad who also installed A/C units. Marie, Bobs wife, works for the company, too, and is very nice. We paid 1/2 of the total the night he delivered the A/C unit and all of the other tools and supplies for his crew to use the next day. We then paid the remaining 1/2 when the job was complete. Additionally, they installed a new air return and a new air supply in our master bedroom. That wasnt even included in the quote from the first company. They installed our A/C unit in one day. It was a long day, and it was nighttime when they were cleaning up, but it was in one day.Before our A/C had gone out we had already scheduled an inspection of our home (two days after the A/C unit was installed) due to Hurricane Harvey. We wanted to ensure we did not have any unseen water damage. Because our house is 12 years, we decided to get a full inspection instead, not just the water damage inspection. Part of that full inspection is the A/C unit and all things related to it. Everything Big Texas Comfort installed passed inspection with flying colors.We highly recommend Big Texas Comfort for any A/C and/or heater needs you have. When we get ready, we are also going to have them install radiant barrier in our home, too. They are not just knowledgeable and talented at what they do, but they are also really good people. My AC wasnt cooling and it was a Saturday. I made a call to Big Texas and told my issue. Within the hour someone from the shop was at my door. I was shocked as Id figured Monday would be the soonest. The guy took a look at the problem and soon discovered I had almost no freon and a leaking gasket. He tightened the gasket, filled my AC with freon, and cleaned out my AC. By the time he left the place, my house was again cool. And the price was good. I will definitely be using them in the future!

AC crashed unexpectedly on Friday night. Panic. 90 degrees in the house. I called 3 different “5 star” AC Repair companies...Only Big Texas got someone there within 2 hours. Others couldn’t do it & wanted to charge me an extra $150 since it was not M-F😡!Dave arrived in the first part of the 2 hour window. Thoroughly diagnosed the problem; promptly fixed issue; and actually hoses down the filthy vents on my outside unit (not part of the issue). He taught me basic HVAC Maintaince to help prevent the issue from reoccurring. He was here for about 3 hours and his final invoice was less than $200!Thank you Big Texas Comfort. I’ll sleep comfortably tonight!

Our AC gave out a few weeks ago and it just happened to be during the hottest few days of the year. With a a newborn we were in a crunch to get the system fixed. So I called and they came right over to take a look after some checking we realized it was a simple case of a bad filter and nothing more.
