Great people. Honest! John and Hector came out. They could have told me I needed all kinds of expensive things but they didnt. AC actually working good but my duct work had leaks. The crew that came in really had a hard time getting into some of the tiny spaces in my attic but they were able to get way into to corners and run new vents, return air and ducts, and they cleaned everything up afterwards. Poor guys were here til 9:30 pm but they got the job done and everything is cooling great. Hector came back out a few days later just to double check everything was done properly. Highly recommend them.

John and Edgar came out today to do an inspection of our AC unit and duct work. Both very professional, friendly and informative. Quoted me a fair price to replace my unit (which is 28 years old) and clean up some loose things around the duct work in my attic. No one ever tells you how fun owning a house is…but at least when you find a good reputable company..you don’t mind going into debt for something you need. They will be here tomorrow to start. Great service call!

Houston Admiral has been servicing our home for a few years now and I always trust that we will get great service and honest work! My mother has been using this company for quite a while now so she recommended them to me as the last company I used was unsatisfactory. Easy to schedule up with and people were friendly from the get go. The technician Hector was very professional, on time, informative and performed efficient work. The following day he arrived on time again with the AC installation team and the installation took an hour and a half. Everyone was friendly and professional. I was completely satisfied with the work performed. The new unit works great and the AC has never worked better. Edgar came out on a moments notice after we called the office when our upstairs air conditioning was pushing warm air. He greeted us with a great smile, immediately began checking our system, and within minutes identified the problem - our compressor had dirt/dust build-up preventing it from breathing, keeping it from functioning properly. He clearly explained how using a garden hose (to be done every 2 months) to spray the vents clean would keep the vents clear and the unit functioning properly. After I dragged the hose out, he took it and cleaned the vents for us! So happy we have a maintenence contract with Houston Admiral Air; responsive, respectful, and reasonable. Thank you, Edgar!

Great company. They were at my home within an hour. My old unit was completely shot and used an out dated coolant /freon. They offered to repair the current unit but advised me that this would end up costing more money in the long run. Im very satisfied they gave me multiple options. My experience with this company was less than desirable. The work was performed without owner approval, the work needed to be corrected within 24 hours in which case the manager refused to guarantee the service because i didnt feel that i wanted to do further business with the company. Its a retaliatory tactic that is common in most companies that misrepresent and underperform only to leave customers as victims rather than satisfied clients.
Reply to Houston Admiral response:I agree that people do make mistakes and you are not responsible for another company’s work. But, you are responsible for properly installing the system and standing by your work and mistakes. Bottom line is that our new system was not installed correctly. You connected the new components to the previously installed line set and plenum, which were the wrong size for the new system components. Why werent we notified then? We had Houston Admiral out every year to service and check the new system. It was over 2 years before we were informed that the plenum and line set were the wrong size. What damage has that caused to the system components? The new system Install was on 09/02/21; Notification of plenum sizing issue was 11/15/23; Notification of line set issue was on 04/15/24. Houston Admiral quoted $6,807.60 to fix the plenum and line set issues. That would have put the total cost of the system at $16,107.60. If I were quoted that price for a new system today, I would say thank you and look for another company to quote the job. During my conversations with Jeremy, I stated that I’m not looking for anything free, but I don’t feel I should be paying 2024 pricing for issues on a job installed in 2021. Also during those conversations, I asked Jeremy “If you were installing a new system and noticed that the existing line set and plenum were the wrong size, would you continue with the install?” His answer was no. Yet, the new system was installed to the existing line set and plenum. He did take $2,593.50 off the quoted price, which was appreciated, but this system is not a $13,514.10 system and that is what we have in it. Jeremy let me know multiple times during our many phone conversations that “he would not lose money on a job”. Well, Houston Admiral certainly did not lose money on this job! Houston Admirals handling of this situation was shady, at best.ORIGINAL REVIEW (paraphrased):We had been working with Houston Admiral for quite a while on general maintenance of our HVAC and heater, and on 09/20/21, they came out to perform a safety check and inspect our system for safe and proper operation. Major issues were found at the condenser and they recommended replacing the system at a cost of $9,300.00. They returned the following day to “replace the FULL SYSTEM with 10 year warranty.” Or so we thought.We continued working with Houston Admiral for inspections and general maintenance of the new system. On 11/15/23, during a scheduled inspection, we were informed that the static pressure was high and the supply plenum needed to be replaced. We were quoted a cost of $1,304.60. They admitted that they neglected to replace this when the new heater was installed, but we were still going to be charged for it. We did not take action on the supply plenum at the time.On 04/15/24, during a scheduled inspection, we were informed that the diameter of the copper line set was too large for the system and would need to be replaced. We were quoted a cost of $1,288.00 for Recovery and replacement of the Freon, new expansion valve, and line filter dryer. And $4,214.10 for installing the new copper line set. These items should have been replaced when the new system was installed. Jeremy, with Houston Admiral front office, admitted that the original larger diameter line set should have been replaced and it was their mistake for not catching it.After talking with our nephew, who is a licensed HVAC professional, we knew these things needed to be replaced. Otherwise, the wear on our new systems would take a toll on the life of each. Jeremy was consulted several times over the price of replacing each of these things. I was informed multiple times that he would “NOT LOSE MONEY ON A JOB”. That’s really bad customer service. The compromise was to remove the cost of the supply plenum ($1304.60) and the expansion valve/filter ($1288.90). Our cost to fix everything was $4214.10, which we ended up paying to get our HVAC and heater back to good working order.

I opted to skip my home warranty company, who doesnt do weekend service (my fault for not knowing to check that), for Admiral. It was obviously going to cost me a lot more, but this is Houston. AC out, in the summer, is a no-go.Admiral was phenomenal top to bottom. The next time I need weekend service, I will be calling them.UPDATE: I used them again during another weekend, and they were phenomenal again. In fact, we got a service contract with them that following week. We will NOT be renewing our home warranty contract, just sticking with Admiral from here on out.UPDATE 2: We just had them perform a seasonal checkup on our heaters. Edgar (third time hes been out to our house and a solid guy/tech) was FAR more through than when our home warranty company last performed a seasonal checkup.*Our home warranty is through a MAJOR company that I am assuming most of you have heard of.

I called to get a quote on our AC unit that was freezing up, they were quick and responsive to get out to us. But they told us we needed to replace several parts and pushed very hard for us to finance through them to replace the unit completely. I got a second opinion, and it turns out ONE part needed to be replaced for over $1000 LESS than quoted from this company and it DID NOT need to be replaced at all. They clearly try to take advantage of unknowing people and have no problem taking money from people in desperate need. Avoid this company, or AT LEAST get a second opinion.
Ive purchased my home 11 yrs ago and Ive had Admiral service my A/C and Heating twice a year since Ive owned my home. My experience with them has been the best. Today Spencer Mitchell was my tech for servicing my heating system and found serious problems that could have been dangerous to my health and home. Spencer was very detailed about explaining the problem and what needed to be done to resolve the situation. Im happy to say that he walked me through the entire thing to get the problem fixed and left me with no questions with his honesty. Thanks to Spencer my problem was fixed. He set everything up and had a crew here within an hour. The crew got right to work and within less than 2 hrs I had a new heating system installed. Sorry to say that I didnt get the names of the 2 gentlemen that did the installation but they were also very professional at their job explaining what all was done. I would highly recommend Admiral to anyone to get the job done. Both the tech and crew that helped me today represented the company they worked for with high standards. Tonight Im a very happy camper in my warm home with no worries. Thanks Admiral for having such great service and having outstanding employees that come out to the field to represent your company.
Called 3 other companies, and no one was able to make it out same day. They came out extremely fast, and fixed our issue just as fast. The technician explained the issue, and didnt try to sell me on things I didnt. Would definitely recommend.

Most of time Im skeptical when you come out to service my ac/ heating. Based on the past experience I have had with your company. A simple service call for maintenance incurs a large sum of money being paid. Im trying to trust the company but its hard considering the past events. Service from these guys is great. We had Edgar come out yesterday to fix an issue on one our new units and he was fantastic!! We have also had Hector out here on several occasions and he too is wonderful. Overall the company has done right by us.

The latest job was an A/C system maintenance and service checkup as part of their summer Customer Appreciation campaign.Edgar, the A/C tech was friendly, courteous and professional. He explained each step of the maintenance process and even changed my air filters. He recommended that I perform a few routine preventive measures that would increase the performance of my a/c and extend it life such as regularly changing the air filters and rinsing the ouside condenser unit with my garden hose that could .
I have had Agustin at my home twice now and got to meet a new tech named Rob today. Both are highly knowledgeable and very professional people. I am in a similar trade to HVAC and recommend them to all of my customers. Houston Admiral Air has never disappointed from the office staff to the technicians that come to the home. Houston Admiral has serviced my unit on several occasions and I have always been highly satisfied with their work and professionalism. I had an issue with a capacitor today and they were able to get someone out in less than an hour. The technician was named Spencer Mitchell and I was very impressed with how he spoke to me about the issue, making sure that I was fully informed of my options, and quoted me a fair price for the work. He was able to get me squared away, in less than 30 minutes. I would use them again without hesitation.

Very professional and timely response. I really appreciate them coming out the same evening. I called around 7 pm because my ac was not cooling, they arrived within about a half hour, went over my options, even offered a portable ac unit or hotel to keep my son and I comfortable until the parts came in for the repair the following day. Hector did a great job. This is my second time using this company and I would use them again in the future if needed.

Very impressed by this company. I called them about our company AC having issues around 12:15 pm. They told me a technician could be at our shop between 1-3 pm, the technician (Hector) was here at 12:50 pm. Within 20 minutes Hector had our AC system up and running. He also inspected the entire system and provided pictures of our system for us to view as he explained what he found. The pictures also provided excellent visual aid for us that do not know AC systems while Hector gave us his recommendations. After going through 3 previous AC companies I can tell you this kind of service is hard to find. Thank you guys very much!

Worst Customer Service Ever! Would not recommend in fact would warn you not to use their service. We called Admiral after our AC went out last year. They sent a tech to our home quickly who told us we needed to replace our entire system. We agreed to the $10,000 contract to replace the system, partially based on the Tech’s promise that the cost of the system would be covered by the savings of having a new more efficient system installed (That was a bold-face lie). The Admiral tech then left and a few hours later 2 Hispanic men showed up with the new equipment, they were obviously not Admiral employees, likely sub-contractors. Took them a long time to install the system (their words). A few days after installation the Admiral tech who sold us the unit did a Quality Control inspection and said everything was great. 1-year later Admiral called to set up an annual inspection from which they found that the existing Plenum was leaking chilled air into the attic space. They told us it was caused by rodent damage and would be $1,000 to replace. 2 days after the inspection I noticed condensate coming from the over flow drain when I went into the attic I noticed the cold air leaking from the system, upon inspection I noticed a 2-3 inch gap at the underside of the blower unit and the existing plenum where they had not been sealed together. I called Admiral and explained the situation to which they begrudgingly sent the same Tech who told me I needed to replace the plenum. With loads of attitude he painted on the sealant to the underside of the plenum (completely missing the leaking joint) then proceeded to tell us that the plenum was 30% too large for the new unit and would need to be replaced, never mentioning rodent damage this time, he also said “this is the last time I’ll come repair this for free!” He wasn’t doing a repair he was completing a botched installation that was missed by the installers the QC check and the annual inspection. When we called to talk to customer service they told us the oversized plenum was not an issue, so either the phone rep or the tech is lying to us because 1 says it needs to be replaced and the other is saying it’s no problem.
Our technician, Edgar Soto, was on time and very thorough with his assessments of my two units. He appears knowledgeable and helpful with his suggestions as to the recourse for my older unit. I highly recommend this company, Ive used them before and was not disappointed.
We had our a/c go down over the weekend. We have only been in the area a few weeks and did not know who to call. Called our home warranty company who tried to send us to a company that had absolutely awful ratings. Decided to go with a more reputable company and I am so glad that we did. We called on a Saturday morning and had a tech at our doorstep within 2 hours. Hector found the problem right away and had us up and running within about an hour. He was very knowledgeable, courteous and informative and answered every question we had. Hopefully we dont need to call anytime soon, but if we do need them, we definitely wont hesitate to call them again.

Thanks to Spencer we were able to get our air conditioner fixed as soon as we could. He came out in less than 2 hours after I called. We needed a new motor so he followed up the next morning (since the parts place was closed on Sundays) and was able to get it up a running the following afternoon! He was so kind, considerate, and respectful. I would definitely use this company and ask for Spencer again if I need them!

Spencer was my technician today for our AC Spring check-up. He was on time, neat and clean and such a gentleman. He explained all the issues, answered all my questions, and even took pictures with his cell phone so he could show me an area which I could not access . I know it isnt a requirement but I also have to comment on his perfect printing on my receipt so that I can look back in my file in years to come and actually read what was done and discussed today. I definitely recommend Houston Admiral. Ive been doing business with them regularly since 2007.
Spencer is the BEST! He arrived within 15 minutes of my phone call to Admiral! He replaced the capacitor and chemically cleaned the coil on our ac unit. It felt better immediately. He was very professional and knows a great deal about what he does--even educated my husband and I-- for free! I will be using Admiral again in the future!

Jamie is a trustworthy technician. He is honest and will help you make the best decision on repairs. He will even suggest if you can fix the problem yourself. This visit the owner, John was along for the repair visit. He was quick to honor his companys coupon and was friendly. This company has been doing our AC/Heating service for about 5 years. One draw back is the calling system they use to remind you of service needs. Hopefully, blocking them through my cell phone will lessen the calls!
Chad, a/c technician was attentive when checking unit inside and outside. He was conscientious upon returning inside the home by using doormat to avoid tracking in any debris. Chad didn’t appeared annoyed as I sought clarification about my unit. He explained some deficiencies and what was needed for maximum comfort. I couldnt be more please with the two young men that came out to do the AC check up, they were very pleasant, professional and personable!! They also went above the job they were here to do, they discovered that our hot water heater was about to cause us serious trouble and took pictures and informed us of the serious matter. I WISH GOOGLE HAD THE OPTION TO DO ZERO STARS WOULD HAVE PUT THAT AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST HERE’S WHERE THE NIGHTMARE BEGAN: THE TECHNICIAN QUOTED ME AN EXORBITANT AMOUNT FOR LABOR CHARGES, CLAIMING IT WAS A COMPLEX FIX THAT REQUIRED EXTENSIVE WORK. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, HE INSISTED ON FIXING SOMETHING THAT WASN’T EVEN BROKEN, ADDING SEVERAL UNNECESSARY COMPONENTS TO THE BILL.I FELT TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF AND DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED BY THIS COMPANY LACK OF TRANSPARENCY AND FAIR PRICING. IT’S CLEAR THEIR PRIMARY GOAL IS NOT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION BUT RATHER MAXIMIZING PROFIT AT THE EXPENSE OF UNSUSPECTING CUSTOMERS LIKE MYSELF. We used Admiral at our first house in Tomball. Bought a new house in Spring and warranty was no longer covered with builder. As always its never covered when a/c goes out. so called up Admiral spoke with Sean and he sent Spencer within 30 minutes. Sean and Spencer helped us out tremendously. Great customer service. I have been using Houston Admiral since 1997. I have always had great service with detailed explainarions of any issues found. Keith arrived yesterday on time and completed the service in a timely manner. He is always very pleasant, honest and professional. Several of my friends use Houston Admiral based on my referral and continue to be pleased. I will continue requesting Keith as my service technician. He is great!
Spencer came to service my a/c and heater and as always, he was polite and courteous. He definitely knows his stuff! I cant speak for everyone one else but, this company has been very good to me and my family. I have always received top notch service. I highly recommend this company. My elderly aunt had her air conditioning go out this past summer. She replaced the entire heating and cooling system through admiral and they made the process extremely easy. She was very anxious and nervous but whatever she needed they did down to explaining things multiple times and resending documents. She got a year of free service and like most things, we forget. The company CALLED me to remind me she had a free service! Then called again after the big freeze to check on us and ask if we wanted to have it checked now. I am extremely impressed with this company and our technician. Highly recommend!!!! 10 out of 10.
Jamie is the best and I have owned houses and rental units for over 40 years so I have seen a lot of situations. If you want someone who knows his profession, gives you s straight answers and protects your property for safety he is your man. Leonard supports his decisions and works with you for installation of new products. They dont sell discount service or products, they sell quality which I believe strongly is cheaper over time and I enjoy sleeping at night knowing my family is safe.I have since left Admiral as my A/C vendor. I believe that Jamie is gone. The new staff seems to be incentivized to sell. Even though I had annual contracts on all 3 housed, Admiral staff keep calling to do additional services (the contract was to cover everything). Even worse they would call the tenants to ask if they could provide more services. Seem that Leonard could not stop the calls. When I renewed last, I brought this to his attention and advised if it continues I would not renew. It continued and so I moved to another company. Secondly, before you have them install a new system you might want to get other bids. I didnt and wish I had.
Houston Admiral Services has been our AC service agent of choice for over 10 years. Though not the least expensive in town they are reliable, quick and most of all honest in their dealings with us. Spencer, the technician who last visited us, stayed late into a Friday night to make sure we were up and operating properly. We have referred Admiral on several occasions to good friends and will continue to do so.They have treated us well.
Dylan came early! He was honest about what I needed but also gave me a few options to consider with my budget which I appreciated! He was kind, arranging for a free temporary AC unit for my babys room while the fix was made. We used them for a completely new AC unit because they only use Texan made parts and brands which means higher quality and easier access to materials later if we need a repair!
Weve been using the services of Admiral for years in the servicing of our home HVAC. Their customer service is top notch, always starting w/ Ms. Sandy who keeps us on our toes and in line with our summer and winter maintenance calls. She helps us take out the guess work of calendaring a reminder. Thank you Ms. Sandy! Im writing this review to acknowledge all of the folks at Admiral, but to give a special shout out to Hector. We have recently had a new HVAC system installed in our home and from the moment of Hector entering our home to giving us an estimate and break down of what we needed, to the day of installation he made the process stress free. The workers in our home on the day of installation, we very mindful of my current work from home conditions, were professional, timely, excellent in their clean up and detail of work preformed. I could not have ask for a better experience with Admiral and highly recommend their business services!
***CORRECTED*** The office was quick to call me back and schedule another check-up. Spencer came out for the follow up inspection at no cost and was able to diagnose the issue. After an adjustment of parts in the attic and additional refrigerant in the system, we are now all set for the summer.I appreciate the companys desire to resolve issues promptly, and Spencers personal commitment to his quality of work. He took ownership of the situation and thoroughly explained everything to me. I would certainly ask him out again next time we need work.---------------I called them out for a regular check-up, did not have any real issues, just wanted a spring tune-up. All seemed to be going well, the technicians were pleasant and polite the entire time. Once they checked through everything, they began to walk me through the situation, stating that my 14 year old system was nearing the end of its life and it would be a good idea to upgrade now. He showed me readings from the refrigerant testing that appeared to be well off from where they should be. I pointed out to him on the picture that he had taken that the outside unit was dated 2014. He corrected himself, stating that the inside unit was 14 years old, even though the outside was only 4. He stated that the inside unit had clearly never been cleaned in its 14 years because there was no way to access the coils without taking the unit apart.They left me with options ranging from pull and clean the coils and recharge the system, to full replacement of system. I appreciated the organized range of options, though non of them were reasonable in price given that I still had a working AC that I just wanted cleaned and tuned. I doubted what they said about the inside unit, so I did my own investigation, was readily able to access the coil myself in the attic, and they in fact are nearly spotless (no visible dust) and obviously were a recent add as every part of the coil box (metal color, tape, insulation, etc), seemed new compared to the furnace, blower, and plenum. I could not find a date on the side unit, but it appears that both inside and outside coils are the same age, not 14 years old.The readings are likely correct, and I do in fact need some work done on the refrigerant to bring it back to spec, but it is surprising that I was able to get a better look at my system than a trained tech was. And certainly discouraging that their first response is replace instead of repair.
Big thanks to Spencer Mitchell who serviced our air conditioner today. He was very professional but very friendly and actually provided us with a service that we were not aware we needed. I hope to get Spencer the next time I call Admiral. He did go above what was expected. He really got us out of a jam. We were blessed. Linda
Great field tech service. Was truthful about what needs to be done. Others AC companies wanted to replace the whole sustem.
Admiral installed complete system 2-3 years ago and had fan motor failure under warranty. I believe that such service could have gone much better if there were better and clear communications. I used to have a much customer friendly and care from Admiral over 8-10 years till I had this service. It looks to me as if it changed completely to not care about customers and just do service and make money as there are many other demands on market. I was told fan motor will have to be calibrate or adjusted on bench, hence the reason for huge man-hour bill. It is clear they charge a high service rate - which I checked online vs. others. I used to run Warranty business myself were I used to work, and never charged warranty man-hour to customer - I charged it to OEM whom accepted man-hour charges. Seems Admiral should negotiate w OEM instead of charging customers. Service Tech did well performing the service, just picked the motor from sealed box and had it installed. I asked even to send the motor and Id install it myself - Admiral didnt agree. I am disappointed to have had excellent and superb service in the past, and not now. I actually accepted their recommendation to install that system based on their clear and professional recommendation. Again, this service could have been much better on my side and Admiral if clear communication and customer care would have been exercised. I am not pleased either I had to put such rating to receive a free service.
Hector Umanzor came in as a second opinion from another company from my home warranty who tried to scam me. The other company cut my cord on purpose that ran from the unit to my house and told me I needed 10 pounds of freeon to make my ac work again. For $1,000. Hector told me I didnt need any freeon and that my cord had been purposely cut. He fixed the cord that had been sabotaged and After spending 350 for a new thermostat for my wall cause the other was super old I was back running again like new. That man had a great heart nonetheless. I will be replacing my unit in the next 2 years and have decided to go with this company just based on honesty and integrity. That goes a long way with me. Thank u again Admiral. And especially u Hector.
Our A.C. went out Sunday night and when we called Houston Admiral Monday morning we had a technician at our house within an hour. Spencer was very helpful and knowledgeable. He made sure we knew what all our options were from repair to replacement. When we decided to repair, he was able to get the job done quickly regardless of the additional problems that were discovered. Thank you Spencer and Houston Admiral for getting our A.C. back up and running during the heat of Houston in July. Impeccable customer service with a smile! :)
I have relied on Houston Admiral for my A/C and heating for over a decade, and I could not be happier with how they handle my equipment. Houston Admiral sold & installed my A/C and heater, and they have done a great job of maintaining both units. I actually look forward to their bi-annual visits for my regular checkups! Im happy to recommend them to anybody looking for good service, or even to replace their existing units.
Called early on a Sunday morning, said they could get out to look at our AC within 2 hours, guy shows up in 30min. Hector was very knowledgeable, and walked us through what the issues were. Was a quick fix for him. Definitely recommend Hector and Houston Admiral AC. 5 stars

Spencer came out to do the initial call and confirmed we needed an entire unit. He did what no other tech in any business has done and actually sat down with me and explained the work that needed to be done in genuine terms as if he was helping one of his friends. He provided 3 different options for us to choose without trying to upsell anything. He gave a very honest opinion. The crew arrived later that day and the entire team was fantastic. The leads Chris, Patrick, and Isidro, with their teams were just as courteous and professional. They were very tidy with their work and made sure to clean up after themselves. They seemed happy to explain what they were doing despite all the questions we were asking.I truly feel that the attitude of the employees is wholly representative of the company in general. All these men felt like a group of my friends and neighbors helping me fix a problem with my home. Edgar from Houston Admiral Air came out to inspect and service our 2 AC units which get a huge workout in TX. Prompt, professional and clearly knew everything about these systems. He even made friends with our boisterous pit-lab mix… a good judge of character! We rely on them to service our ac and heat system every year.
Ive had Houston Admiral out to my house a few separate times for inspections. About two years ago, they called (and called and called) and I agreed to a deal where you pay for a summer inspection and they would give a winter inspection for free. They did not honor that deal. The following year I of course ignored their repeated calls. This year I gave them another chance. They scheduled the visit, then called with one day notice to cancel, saying I was under contract with another A/C contractor (Grainger) which is not true. The supervisor in the call center turned me away from Admiral either because I installed a hard-start kit on my own (properly wired, and as recommended by Admiral) ... because they dont know who Grainger is ... or perhaps for some negative, personal reasons. My system is now over 20 years old, due for replacement soon, and Admiral had been my choice up until then. That supervisor threw away my future business.UPDATE: Houston Admiral called me again (spring 2017); probably on their call list. I reminded of the past poor service but they assured me that supervisor is on leave right now so dont worry. I agreed to have them come out and for the regular advertised special price; I didnt demand a freebie. They never showed and never called back. WTH?
Great family run business. I could never be so more happier with an AC company. They built their service on honesty and customer service with options of lifetime warranties if a system is old and replaced through them. Yearly AC/Heating maintenance is offered and pays for itself! Recently I called them when my thermostat went out and they had a technician Spencer showed up to diagnose, and fix the problem in the afternoon heat just in time for me to leave to go pick my daughter up from school on time!Thank you Spencer and Admiral for keeping our home Cool!
Long story short, if you decide to not do business with them, beware, they resort to fear-mongering. From our personal experience.They gave us an $8410 quote to change a coil and condenser units. As a bonus they offered to replace a capacitor for free (???); we declined.They told us both capacitor were damaged. Then, the tech. made us shut-off our units. One unit, because it would “over heat and cost more to repair.” The other unit because the condenser was “no-good.” Basically, when the tech came out only one unit was down, by the time he left, we had no AC in the house.We hired another company and they told us the capacitor in one unit and everything was fine, the other unit did need to be replaced.It’s probably his technique to pressure us to make the decision; he literally shut off our air. If so, his approach didn’t work.I expected better from a company in our community.... but integrity is hard to get nowadays... I guess. We understand economic time are tough, but never too tough to jeopardize your integrity.

Houston Admiral Services provided excellent service. Our A/C went out- we called that evening and first thing the next morning the A/C tech, Chris arrived. He was friendly, answered all of my questions and quickly identified and fixed the problem. He had all of the parts needed with him. The company rates are also very competitive. Overall- we will call this company again. NOTE- they installed our A/C and duct work- we were also pleased with the outcome of the installation.
Edgar is a top notch professional. I’ve had him out to our home twice and both times he has worked quickly and efficiently. Guy deserves a raise!
Our experience with Admiral has been nothing short of stellar. We needed HVAC and Furnace replaced in June and since the initial sales call through the installation and a subsequent service call, the whole team has been helpful, courteous and extremely prompt. I appreciate the way Houston Admiral comes out twice a year to maintain our air conditioning and heating. Because of it our electric bill has decreased substantially and we know that our unit is in top notch shape. Recently Spencer came out and we really enjoyed his personalilty, professionalism, and knowledge. Jeremy scheduled the appt and answered my questions. :)Edgar (the tech rep) arrived on time, completely assessed the system, attic blower & outside unit, explained EVERYTHING with pictures and common-sense repair information in a way i could understand. The estimate is thorough w/16 pictures (i cant get into the attic myself) and he directed me to Admirals source of financing. I will be updating the review after the repairs are complete because i trust Admiral to do the recommended repairs.DOWNGRADED! From 5star to 1star... for these reasons:A. Financing options never worked. Had to put repairs on my credit card. (FYI 800+ credit)B. Of the $thousands of recommended repairs or new system option, I researched & chose 2 most critical: relay-electrical board (the relay was integrated to the board according to Admiral) which was the root of the thermostat problem and secondly, the heat strip (which showed some significant burn marks possibly from electrical 2021 storm damage). 2/23/22 Edgar came back when parts arrived & i had ability to pay. ADMIRAL ORDERED THE WRONG HEAT STRIP. Since Id contracted and paid, Edgar reinstalled the bad part. Shaun ordered a correct part and i waited. AND WAITED. I exchanged emails.C. In March22 i attempted to go to the office to talk in person, but Admiral had moved their physical location without updating the website, business cards or large billboard on StuebnerAirline Rd.D. After 8wks of my post-stipulated 10wks max waiting for China parts, we had hot weather and turned on the air conditioner. It didnt work.E. Admiral considered the heat kit strip a special order, initially refusing a refund. An unidentified rep (presumably in Dallas hdq) agreed to a 2/3 refund of that part.F. Admiral offered to apply the repair to a whole new system, however, they increased the new price by over 10% from 2months earlier.G. The system was replaced completely by another HVAC company with the same seer1400 attic/outside unit for $3700 less than Admiral quoted.H. Better business REVOKED their membership in 2020. I wish Id found that info sooner.
Been using company for years and they are always professional. This time, ac stopped working all together. Shorts in original 1984 wiring. Cost me a lot, but Edgar did good job. Will stay with Admiral.
Fantastic service. They had their guys in the field on calls, and it would have been a couple hours before anyone would be able to swing by. Shawn personally came by after he left the office for the day, and found that a capacitor went bad, and replaced it. Highly recommended!
Spencer went above and beyond to help us get the AC back up and running and let me tell you it was an ordeal. They were able to get it fixed same day and trekked all over town to get the parts we needed to keep it under warranty and lower our price. I would highly recommend their service and welcome Spencer over to the house anytime!

Jeremy with Houston Admiral was very friendly and kindly replied there would be a technician the very same day. I was very impressed!
I had a regular service call today with a tech named Spencer. He took his time and explained everything he found with my unit inside and out. Although the news wasnt what I wanted to hear, I did however, appreciate his honesty and cander. He completed the task I wanted to him to perform with the understanding that the big job will be done next spring and I want him to get full credit for the sale.
Spencer showed up on a Sunday evening within an hour of my phone call. Our air conditioner went bust and it was no fun sweating indoors at 90 degrees heat. Spencer was quick to diagnose the problem and honest about what the costs were. I was very happy with the work performed and highly recommend him and his company for any HVAC issues. Highly reliable and trustworthy!
AC stopped cooling. Was excited when they said that someone could come out within an hour. Came out and said I was low on freon. And then said that in order to save money in the long run, I should replace the entire inside and outside unit. Cost of almost $9000. When I asked where the leak was, he said it could be the inside cool or outside coil but that would cost another $225 to find it. I paid their stupid $99 dollar fee and said Ill think about it. Which I did for 2 seconds. Had someone else come out that I found on Thumbtack and told me for free that the leak was from the attic coil. Got it replaced at way less than $9000 with freon from the guy who gave me a free estimate. Will never call this company. Major upscale scam artists. Paid $99 for info I already knew. Thanks for nothing.

My wife and I moved to The Woodlands in the spring of 2011 and immediately experienced a/c problems during one of the hottest summers on record. After trying our home warranty company several times and being disappointed we called Houston Admiral on the recommendation of someone we trusted. They responded immediately, fixed the problem and weve been using them ever since for our heating and cooling needs. They have always been prompt, professional, done a good job and stand behind their work. Highly recommended.
AVOID THIS BUSINESS.They came out and told me my ac had to be replaced because it used an obsolete coolant. I had no choice. I needed my ac fixed and they were telling me it couldnt be fixed. They then send a letter to my insurance company telling them they could have repaired it for half the price.Please dont make the mistake I made. I trusted that they would tell me the truth. Instead I ended up paying for something I did not need and they will not even say they were wrong for not telling me it was an option.Zero ethics. I should have done my homework. Do yours. CALL SOMEONE ELSE.***RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSEI have stated that your work was done well. The only issue I have is that you give out a price for repairing something that your company told me HAD to be replaced. If you dont do the repairs, then just tell your customer that. Let them decide if they want to have it repaired by someone else. Dont tell them that it is no longer available and that they have to change it out.Your practise is no different than a auto repair shop telling me that my car has to be replaced because their shop doesnt do the repairs needed.Just STOP upselling by lying to your customers.It has been very frustrating dealing with an owner who refuses to listen to his customers complaint. You cant even go to their place of business to talk with anyone. They have it gated so you cant get in.
Update per reply from Admiral. Yes, you did credit the $ back and my final bill was the agreed upon $250. I do appreciate that. And perhaps youre right, we could have called you back and tried again. Based on your reviews you may have fixed it. But based on my experience, I didnt want to make the same mistake twice. This is my home and I want to be comfortable and trust those who are working on it. Im sure you understand. Thank you for your reply. I appreciate it. Im adding a star based on your quick response.Disappointed in the service and communication. We had an AC unit go down at the house. Admirals tech was initially super polite. He explained that the capacitor went out and it would be about $250 to replace it and he had one in the truck. He also offered an additional part that would help the capacitor last longer. We asked several times what the cost would be, and he kept saying it was the same - so of course we went with the extra part. When he gave us the bill it was over $500. He meant that each was $250, not that both together were $250, but since he kept saying its the same, we didnt realize we were going to pay $500 for a 10 minute repair. I could have forgiven that, but fast forward a week and the newly repaired unit quit again. We had our regular crew out (not Admiral), and guess what - it was the capacitor. They had rigged two smaller capacitors inline because they actually did not have the right part on their truck, and then theyd left a cap loose, resulting in a freon leak. So we had to pay for freon and a new capacitor. I think its great that they have awesome reviews out there and I hope our experience was just a fluke, but it was terrible service and shoddy work. I dont know how you can do that and look someone in the eye when you hand them the bill.
I had a great experience with them! I called them when my AC wasnt cooling, and within just a couple of hours they had it all up and running. I have confidence in my unit now thanks to Houston Admiral. They were prompt, courteous, and very polite and helpful. Will surely use them again!
On 9/15/17 Keith came out to perform a checkup on our air conditioner. Today, 10/26/17, Keith came out again to perform a checkup on our heater. Both times he was extremely thorough in his assessment, took the time to explain everything, and was a very nice guy. Being new to Texas, and only going off reviews for Houston Admiral, I can honestly say that Keith and your company exceeded my expectations. Thank you for your excellent service!

After being hounded relentlessly by calls, I finally allowed HOUSTON Admiral Heating and Air to come and inspect my heating units. Once the technician arrived he immediately said the service was for one unit and I had two – so I would have to be charged for the second unit inspection. Fine – Whatever – That is fair – but that should have been stated prior to arrival! The fee was going to be $45.After inspection, he came down and said both of my units check out fine. The only item needed was some type of battery for the fan unit? He brought the parts to me and gave me a price of $120 for both batteries per unit. Total of $240. While he was outside getting the parts from his truck – I googled the parts and they cost between $8.00 and $11.00 dollars each. When he came back in my home, I confronted him regarding why he was trying to charge that much money and his reply was “We got to make money somehow”? WOW – So much for an honest business philosophy. How about be a company of your word – do the inspection and if nothing is wrong – good on you!!! Believe me – if that was the case – if my air/heating failed in the future, I would have gladly called Admiral back. But it was the OPPOSITE – they claimed they were coming to do a “good deed” – “honest job” – and then try to RIP me off to make money!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE!!!!

I had a project that needed custom work, I had several HVAC companies come look at the project. Admiral was the only company that did not hesitate to bid the custom work. Their guys were able to start a few days later and during the project we found several obstacles like you would expect in a custom job and these guys worked very hard with open minds to take care and overcome them. They would call us for service always, so it was easy to get the account and heating units ready for hot and cold seasons. The technicians are friendly and competent. Always let us make the decisions and did not force us to buy extras for the units. The technicians was called Chris and he did explain things and was friendly and courteous.
Spencer Mitchell was very professional and explained what he was doing and what he was looking for during the process. Very personable and answered all of my questions. Did not forcibly try to sell me a new unit, just explained why I needed to purse an upgrade. This was very much appreciated, I now the facts and did not have to deal with saying no, not yet. Hector has done our service repair work, installed one new unit a few months ago an was out today just to check the units due to the crazy Texas summer heat. Always professional an always on time. Highly recommend.
Edgar came out to perform routine maintenance on my a/c unit and it turns out he was the service man who installed my heat and a/c units several years ago including new ductwork. He did a very good job! On everything!
I originally got a cold call at home from Susan last winter. She was respectful and called me back on the day I gave her that I had time to hear what she was selling. Where I passed on her deal at the time, I promised to call if I needed something. I have never been more grateful for a cold call before. My husband may have been doing lawn work and got too close to the AC wires with the weed-eater on a Saturday morning and our AC was dead, with home temps reaching 81. I called our normal AC people and left a message. I saw the sticky note I had written with my notes from Susan and called Houston Admiral. I had a live person answer and there was a technician at my house in under an hour! (I didnt even get a return back call from my normal AC company until that Monday). The technician was knowledgeable, and immediately was able to diagnose and fix the issue. I have a 10 year old unit, and know it will need to be replaced soon. I will 100% be calling Houston Admiral to make that replacement when the time comes.
Arrived on time with face mask and gloves. Checked the the heating system and showed picture of coils that needed to be cleaned. Gave quote and was able to do the cleaning in the same day. Very professional and polite and reasonable price. Plan to keep using Houston Admiral in the future.

This company is way over pricing and using the scam telemarketing phoning number. The first time they came is trying to get you hooked to their long term retaining services. The second time is they tried to rip you off for the AC starter capacitor . They asked me for over hundred buck, which I can swap that crap out myself for 30 buck. I hired another local AC man in Spring Champion area, for inspection and tune up. After checking, he said nothing wrong with the capacitor, just the skew was getting loose. Ah-ha! who did the last 6 months service?! Lucky, nothing wrong with my unit. Later on, I do not use the Admiral service since I moved to another area. They called me several time every years, and I told them that I no longer living in that Area and requested them to remove my phone number from their system. They said they will take me off the system. But they did it once in awhile in every years. Today is 03/29/2017 after 4 years since my last having them service my units, they have been calling me all the time. I have informed them that I am no longer living in that area, and I even used apse to blocked them out, but they change difference local numbers to call you. It is kind of annoying that sometime it pissed me off because I am in the meeting, and having lunch, and they surprise me with a stupid different number. This kind of business is unprofessional since I had asked them to remove my phone from the marketing list. My last 4 digit of my phone is 5754. Please remove me and stop the kind of soliciting calls. I would suggestion to whoever new customers, google and compare price before hiring the services.
The gentleman Mr.Umanzor was nothing but outstanding! Not only did he take the time to show and explain to me what was wrong with my ac unit, he also answered all my questions without hesitation. Spencer inspected our ac system. Hi knowledge, politeness, and explanations showed his professionalism. A replacement slab coil was installed the next day. We called Admiral again two days later to look at our thermostats. Spencer found that the 2nd zone thermostat wasnt even wired to the ac system. The previous home owners were cheated, and weve been living here a year thinking something was wrong but not sure what. Spencer set the new thermostat to control the whole house so we could avoid the expense of a new zone system. Its nice to know some companies act professionally and ethically. Called Houston admiral as our ac went out. Technician came out an hour later and got everything going again! Spencer hooked it up with a good price and quick service. Highly recommend them for anyone’s home AC needs!
We had Houston Admiral come out to do a heat checkup on our Furnace yesterday. Upon completion of the check up the technician feedback was all in GOOD working condition. After spending $54.95 to our surprise we went to bed last night and woke up this morning to a house that was freezing temperatures. We called Houston Admiral Services back to let them know what was going on and that the Technician possibly did not turn the gas back on. The Technician was dispatched and came back out to turn the gas back on, to our surprise after he went back into the attic, the Technician tells us that the CHECK VALVE went out. Now, the day before he told us ALL was in GOOD working condition, we should have NO problems with the furnace. He returns to tell us today that we have a problem, that is going to cost us $700 on a weekend and day before Christmas. Which prior to thecheck we had no problems with our Furnace. Now we are faced with a $700 repair on a part we can not get for a CARRIER furnace until after Christmas. I am disappointed in the feedback we received from John, HOUSTON ADMIRAL management for the inconvenience they have caused my family. It is going to be 35 degrees tonight and we have NO heat. On top of this they offered to sell us a generic brand CHECK VALVE for our CARRIER FURNACE....go figure, I am not an expert. We will not be using their services again.

Our Technician, Spencer Mitchell, was very thorough in the evaluation of our furnace and provided clear feedback for those like me who do not understand HVAC. He was able to fix our furnace and get the heat running properly again just in time for the winter season. A+
Spencer came in to just do a heat inspection and there werent any issues. I had my house inspected a few weeks ago and had some ac and duct work questions. Spencer took care of a couple of ac issues mentioned in the inspection report and I asked him to look at entire HVAC system and duct issues. Without batting an eye, Spencer crawled up into that tight acttic and was able to explain to me exactly what I needed to do. He explained my options and explained in detail what was going on and how the systems using R22 were being phased out. I felt Spencer took his time and answered all my questions. My main concern was a draw issue at the return duct and he and I agreed to do this fix today. The team is on their way now to do that repair at a fair and honest price. I am a happy camper! Thanks to Spencer and Admiral.
Spencer and Leonard came out to my home to perform and inspection and I was pleased with the job they competed. A little sad, that my problem was bigger than I thought but I am happy to know what the problem was. Note time for the to fix it. Great company they continue to do great job at my home.
I was reluctant is use this company based on prior reviews. However, I still called because I saw several reviews that was outstanding. I spoke with Leonard and he explained that the company was under new management and he would be the point of contact. Glad I used them for my air conditioning repair! Keith was kind, affable and efficient. Gave me a bid to improve my air quality which I am seriously going to consider. Will ask for Keith in the future. Definitely would recommend. Their persistence to schedule maintenance may irritate me, but they also get me to do the required maintenance which I would otherwise neglect!

We had Admiral air replace our HVAC 4 years ago. We told them we wanted better units. They quoted us for 3 Coleman units with a price of 40,000 dollars. We were told they were the top of the line. We have had Admiral air out every year to maintain the warranty. In the past week I have put 1200 dollars into repairs. I finally called a different company because Admiral couldnt fix the issue. The new company suggested a new unit. They said we had the bottom of the line York unit.I am guessing we had a bait and switch. Dumb us for not looking at the yelp reviews before we used Houston Admiral Air.
Being a Houston Admiral customer for 10 years, I found Jamie and Patrick to be very thorough in inspecting our cooling and heating units. Very informative in proving information to upgrade our current systems. Would recommend doing dual checks on both systems this time of year with Houston Admiral. A very pleasant experience with Jamie and Patrick as the service techs.
Before Christmas we had a furnace emergency and Houston admiral were excellent. We needed to replace two furnaces on Christmas Eve and they were able to get the job done and at an affordable cost.
Admiral was great to do business with, worked with my schedule, Hector explained things to me and did a great job.
Though I like this company. I feel that charging $168 to rinse out outside ac coils (1 unit) with fresh water is extreme. At very least offer a chemical cleaning. Takes so little time to do.

After 14 year of admiral services and 17 years of admiral installed equipment there brand an others, I am done. There is nothing good I can say about their customer satisfaction. Yes it does take me a long time.to just throw up my arms. We have spent over $ 20,000 dollars with this company in the last 17 years and now we will need to spend x thousands more just three years after they replaced our whole AC system.

Jamie was on time and very professional. He did a thorough check on the AC and came up with the best repair plan for our situation. I love how they never pressure you to buy things you dont really need.
They claimed I had a coolant leak, needed to replace a functioning capacitor and should have the coils chemically cleaned. All at a cost of $700. Then they recommended replacing the entire unit for more than $10K. Another AC company came out and found NO LEAK, no problems with the unit. Watch out. Do not use these guys.

I always dread the seasonal ac/furnace checks, as it seems something is always wrong which is not fixable, but needs to be replaced. My house was built in 1972 and we needed the replacements....and that is always a high dollar purchase. I especially like how though the techs are with the explanation of why and what needs to be replaced. Also, after equipment replacement, I especially love the drop in my power bill. My favorite is the annual service contract they offer....all the service procedures you need combined into one price and performed twice a year. Been with AHA for decades and have been through ups and downs but they have consistently turned the downs into ups and to our satisfaction. It is great when a company works hard to make you or the customer happy with their services.
Chris and Spencer came by today to check our A/C. They were very helpful in identifying a couple issues we need to prepare for in the future. Chris used his phone to take pictures of the problems so I could see clearly what he was discussing. I would highly recommend them and call them again for any work we need in the future.
This is the 3rd review I’ve written as they keep removing it. I had a very expensive replacement of my duct system done TO CORRECT MOLD. I was told the vent covers (that were moldy) would be replaced and the vent areas cleaned snd treated, all duct work to be replaced for OVER $4000. They did replace the duct work but left me moldy vent covers and I cleaned and untreated vent areas. I’m sure the mold is in the $3500 duct work now from the mast moldy vent covers. I called my contact Over and Over and when I finally got Sandy or Sandra she had the nerve to say vent covers were not on my bid. What person would treat for mold and not replace the vent covers???? Bad bad service for someone that spent a lot of money.
Called these guys about AC not cooling well. During booking they quoted me one price/lb for freon, which was reasonable. The technician came out, tried upselling a completely new system - which I declined. Then they quoted me an astronomical price/lb of freon - 365% higher than what they quoted me over the phone. Then they tried telling me there was a shortage of the freon. Hence the high cost. I googled searched it - found the freon being sold by multiple retailers by 5 lb canister, 10 lb canister and even pallet load at a fraction of what they were trying to charge. I understand a need for material markup but this was insane - even unethical considering what they originally quoted. Price gougers. If I could leave 0.5 stars I would.

At the worst time my old unit went out on me I called Admiral for help and their tech Chris came out. Chris was very helpful and informative. He was also very patient with me considering my frustration with having to buy a new unit. I am glad I decided to call Admiral, their entire staff was very helpful.
Spencer came out and evaluated our A/C systems. He was very cordial and explained the problems that the A/C systems were having and what needed to be done to correct them. We went with his suggestions and were happy with his professionalism.

My ac stopped cooling on Memorial Day. I had these guys out & less than 2 hours later I was back up and running just in time for my guests to arrive. Not only were they punctual and professional they were honest too. They could have sold me a bunch of stuff I didnt need on my 10 year old ac, but it was just a small quick fix. Ive been using Houston Admiral for several years now and have been extremely pleased with the Technicians promptness, courtesy and the thorough system inspection they give. They call each year like clockwork and offer what I believe is a valued service. Last year they identified that I was overdrawing current on startup and replaced parts to alleviate this - no more buzzing breaker.

A/C stop working around on Father’s Day around 4pm. Edgar(tech) was in at 5;30pm, a/c was running within 10 minutes.He was a life saver as that day was extremely hot. I will always be thankful.Hoping he enjoyed his Father’s Day.
Stay away...CROOKS! They also came out from a cold call stating they would come for a seasonal visit. On arrival they tried to sell me $2,000 worth of upgrades i need asap.A month later our AC broke for the first time in 5 years (strange timing after their visit). I called them back since they were just at our home thinking they would warranty some of their work.On arrival the technician stated we needed two new motors at $700.00. It was a hot day and we have small children so we had them get the home cool again asap.I found out soon after they left that the two parts they put in were less than $50.00 on line and takes 5 minutes to do. I called them the following day asking why we paid so much and they said thats the price of business.Never again, do not use them!

And now im on the permanent sucker list- I keep getting calls even though Ive asked them to stop calling.The reason they cant find an incident about this call? I didnt have them come out to steal more money. I called a reputable company that was easily and inexpensively fix my a/c.This company is the WORST. Huge Ripoff. We just had to replace another motor, after only 2 years, and they would not honor their warranty Claiming the warranty wouldnt cover the charge to come out and diagnose the problem, which would be $99- just to tell me what I already knew. Was ripped off the first time they came out to the tune 2800 for that same motor.Found an honest A/C guy who changed out the motor, and a bad breaker for under 200 bucks.Admiral can go pound sand.

John came out and did an excellent job of explaining what was wrong, pricing, and future considerations for my unit. The pricing was fair, and he was unbelievably helpful and kind. I will definitely use Admiral again.
Houston Admiral and GM Shawn Conley charged me for an hvac unit that was not received or installed for the value of $10,044. Overcharging $3500 for a unit worth $6000… I have made several attempts to have them to send the money back and take this off of my credit and they didn’t. Took this to the Better Business Bureau won the case and the still wouldn’t return the funds. Prompting the BBB to remove their Accreditation… Now I will have to take Houston Admiral Air Conditioning and Heating to court…Be very aware when doing business with this Co. or better yet get your Hvac work from another company…PS, be advised most of the good ratings the have are fakes, like several that will follow this one…BEWARE
Forget all other HVAC companies - this is the one you want to use. Keith came to our house to help us with issues arising from a horrible installation job from a different HVAC company. He and his crew did a fantastic job, were thorough and upfront, and Keith even came back out the next day (Sunday) to do a quality check. I appreciate everything Keith and his team did for us and will ONLY use Houston Admiral in the future.
Excellent! Chris was extremely knowledgable and courteous. No serious problems at this time but he told us what we needed to be aware of with regards to the condenser coil. Would recommend this company to out neighbors.
