And then his team reached out to me uninitiated when rates we’re starting to drop and got me a great new rate.I was very impressed it was uninitiated and I didn’t have to reach out to them when rates started to drop.I would advise to make sure you always have access to pertinent documents like financial statements, pay slips and keep an eye on your credit as rates drop to maximize their services.

However, my experience took a negative turn when the owner, Joel, became involved.Joel was extremely difficult to deal with and spoke to me with very little respect. As a professional and a realtor, I felt belittled and dismissed, as though my voice and expertise didn’t matter simply because I am a woman. His demeanor was condescending, and instead of fostering collaboration, it felt like he expected me to simply listen without question or input.This experience was both disappointing and frustrating, especially considering how well everything had gone prior to his involvement. It’s unfortunate that his behavior overshadowed what could have been a completely positive experience.I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no one should feel devalued or disrespected in a professional setting.

She got us the best possible rate. I was so happy with her service, I recommended her to my cousin who is trying to secure a home mortgage. There are far more communicative and transparent mortgage lenders/brokers out there. I reached out to Joel because they have a sponsorship with my husbands company. They gave me a simple pre-approval letter with a great rate (far lower than other places I had looked into) for us to start the offer process. However, my realtor was cautious given the lack of information and called to ask questions in order to protect my interest. They did not give her straight forward answers and the very next day, they sent me a new letter with a higher rate stating that the rates had worsened. I had already started the process with another lender at this point who confirmed that the rates hadnt worsen over that period. This made me suspicious that Champions wasnt being straight forward with me. Additionally, dont expect to get a response from them over the weekend. There are a lot of lenders out there that wont put you off until Monday. I also didnt appreciate that Joel tried to use their sponsorship with my husbands employer as a reason that I should have gone with them after finding out that we used another lender. Im sure others have had a pleasant experience with Champions but there are far more transparent and professional lenders out there, in my opinion. I would recommend doing your own research and reaching out to multiple lenders to make sure youre getting the best deal for you. Thats what I did and Champions was not the best option out there.

This experience review is solely for our time working with Y Vu. We were recommended to go to Y from a family member because Champions has great interest rates, in which we can confirm that. However, if we could do it again, we would not pick Y as our loan officer. At the beginning of the process, she was answering calls/questions with no concerns. Once we decided to go with Champions, she changed her behaviors completely after that. During the waiting contract period, we had to wait hours for her to respond. All we received from her was, “I’m busy”. She was at work but failed to answer her phone calls/emails. What time should we call her then if it’s not during 9-5?It felt like we were begging her assistance. People are always braving how terrific their loan officers are but for our case, we were miserable. She also made many promises that she could not keep. We would rather she be honest with us from the beginning than to made promises and made the deal sounds amazing to get us in. I do give her credit for writing an objection letter but other than that, I would not change anything I mentioned. At one point, we were concerning about the difference in prices between what she have shown us to what we were getting. She has the audacity to say she cannot work with people like us. When she can easily answer the question by saying it’s different by each bank/underwriting. Our honest opinion is she have horrible work ethics. Even our other sister said she would never give business with someone like this. We learned the hard way and it’s true, we would rather pay the extra $2k in interest to be treated better. Absolutely never again in a million years with her. Please change for the better.
