We listed it and had it under contract and sold within 5 weeks.We moved into a short-term rental for three months while the new home was being built. Jennifer answered all of our many questions along the way and provided reassurance when needed. As we neared our closing date, Jennifer and Kenny Hughes provided weekly updates and offered great advice on how to secure the lowest interest rate. We closed on time and our loan was funded early that day.We were in good hands even after our closing, Jennifer sent helpful emails with friendly reminders to submit our new home documents to the county and to apply for the homestead exemption. Once our home appeared on HCAD’s records, we noticed the square footage was incorrect. Jennifer was helpful in getting this resolved. We simply filled out a form and submitted documentation from our appraisal to get it quickly corrected.One of the best things was Jennifer’s down-to-earth webinar/video on how to protest your taxes through HCAD. In 25+ years of home ownership, I had never considered protesting our taxes. I followed her advice and protested our tax assessment which resulted in having our home’s appraised value reduced by $28K.My best advice is to work with Jennifer Hughes on your next mortgage.
