Having a new home is fun. Buying a new home.... not so much. My realtor (who I loved) suggested a lender and since costs are fixed and I had looked around, but not much, I trusted her recommendation. Thank GOD we did. I work with Petey and not only was a communicative and thorough, hes hilarious. Even though it was tedious and overwhelming, I always felt informed, entertained and up to date. When I had questions, often that he had already answered, he was quick to respond. Also, notable, we are business owners who pay ourselves so proof of income and gathering paperwork is more complicated. This bothered him NONE and he was super helpful in helping us understand what we needed to do and what NOT to do during the process. House buying is bot our hobby but if we have to do it again, it will be with these guys! Highly recommend.

The folks at Matador are top notch. Down to earth, very honest and transparent, super responsive… not your typical bloated big box bank experience. They have a great workflow for mortgages, provide an excellent online experience, and got my refinance done super fast with the best rates I could find. My signing was even done by a mobile notary. Vy Hoang, my loan officer was amazing. She was hands on at every step of the loan application process. She worked till late to get everything submitted and also called me when she got news that the interest rates were going to be increased so we locked in at the lower rate. Matador lending (professional, honest, fast) is a great company to work with on getting your loan. I heard about them from a family friend at their house warming party (I met Prashant Petey - The Loan Officer, who had gotten the loan). I bought a house in GA while in TX and they closed the loan from TX in 21 days. Petey was so good to work with that I always felt like he was working for me on my team vs. the lenders. Matter of fact, my realtor even told me that Petey and his team is really easy to work it. He made sure to work hard with his team, especially Janel R. who was on the back end helping to make sure everything was intact before he submitted the packet to under-writing with the aim to have no major surprises come back from them. He was available 24/7, when I called he made sure that he answered my call or at least acknowledged it if he cannot receive my call. He stayed a step ahead of me and kept me informed every step of the way. He finally got the loan approved without any appraisal in a very HOT sellers market and secured the loan for me.

Let me start by saying that I will call Matador again and will give them my money. I don’t think anyone else should hesitate in doing the same.Initially, we had a pretty poor experience with Matador Lending. While the details of that experience are no longer relevant to this review, suffice it to say that we ended up not purchasing a home and were pretty put out by the whole experience. I felt like our situation could have been handled much better than it was.And I was right, because it was handled MUCH better, and when the next opportunity comes for us to buy a home, I’ll call Matador first. Mr. Sanghavi earned our business by calling me and not only extending an apology and explanation for what happened, but offering to make it right. It was his tone and words that make me believe this is a company that is absolutely worth doing business with.Businesses are made up of people, and we all know how messy that can get. We make mistakes. I think instead of looking for a company who has never made one, we should decide who we do business with based on how a company will handle a mistake when one is made. And in that area, Matador passes with flying colors.

While looking into rates from different lenders to refinance our home, a friend referred us to David Lee . Our initial thoughts when we saw his profile was, “He is so young compared to others we have spoken to, how competence can he be ?”. We contacted David anyways, when we finally spoken to him over the phone, it shocked us to find out how professional, knowledgeable he was and on top of that he’s a broker for different companies . David knew what he was talking about and he was exact with his time (which was A+++++). We told him we wanted to refinance, also shortening our term from 30 years down to 15 years. Was referred to Matador Lending by a friend. Wanted to look into refinancing my primary home and couple rental properties since interests rates were much lower than what I was currently paying.
