We dealt with Edgar Ramirez for our mortgage transaction at this company! He was very unprofessional, horrible communicator and lacked sense of urgency. Initially, this guy was responsive to all the calls/messages/email regarding a mortgage file we opened with them but then, I dont know what happened, after one week into a mortgage process, he stopped responding to our calls/messages/email. Because of his lack of urgency, carelessness and no communication, we had to extend our closing 2 times. Finally, we got tired of him and this company and decided to go with another mortgage company. Avoid this company at all cost because they will leave you hanging at the last minute. Anyone who is thinking to go with this company, think twice and have a backup plan in place. If you do decide to go with this company, avoid Edgar Ramirez at all cost. He will not follow thru on your file and will not respond to your calls/message/email and screw you over at the last minute. I have raised this concern to Frank and upper management at this company but I doubt they will do anything about it. I just wanted to put this out here so people are aware of Edgar and this company.

When choosing a mortgage company, you can go to many different lenders, including big banks. However, you will not receive the rapid response time of NuHome Group. They are the Mortgage broker willing to make things work for everyone. After a small hiccup with a very stringent lender, a week before our set closing date, we were able to switch lenders, and close within 10 days of our original close. Sammy, Sandy & Frank are very professional and did a great job. My only advice would be to update your customers just a little more, for a first time home buyer, I admit I needed some hand holding. I was extremely pleased working with NuHome Group for the purchase of my home. This was my first time working with a mortgage broker instead of a large bank and I wont ever go back. We were buying right as COVID started getting really bad and the banks were getting backed up. Our original lender was not going to let us close on time, but Frank and the NuHome Group team were able to find a new lender at the last minute and get us cleared to close in 10 days! Excellent Mortgage loan company. It was a pleasure working with Frank and Sandy. Ive used lenders such as Wells Fargo, Quicken Loans, and Pen Fed and NUHOME by far had the best customer service and were very timely. I had a 45 day close that we changed to close 2 weeks earlier since they had everything complete and there was no reason just to wait. Every question I had from pre-approval to closing was answered. I would send emails late at night and Frank would answer them late at night also and consistently reassured me when I had any questions or doubts. I will use them again as well as refer them.

Im a first time home buyer and was very unsure going in. My MLO (Torre) did such an excellent job of easing my concerns. She was available at any hour (yes I texted her after midnight if had a question) and she always gave feedback, if not instantly, then shortly after. As for the loan processing, can I expressed how impressed and how others who knew what I was doing, were impressed with how smooth this process was. During that time, I applied for a second loan quote from a reputable big bank; however, the big bank still could not offer me a lower interest rate than what was being offered by Nuhome Group. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Not worth the headaches. 48 hours ahead of time... Oh yes, the buyers and us are fine; ready to come to closing on time. Less than 24 hours ahead of time... No wait, we didnt do our job right and the buyer isnt qualified. Two extensions later and they still cant get their buyer qualified. Do not accept contracts from this company unless you like headaches.Reply - No, sorry, not your former employee. You are trying to finance a home for a buyer and I am the seller. Two extensions later and the title company says that you still havent given the go ahead to close even though we are supposed to close AGAIN tomorrow. So, either you are financing a less than qualified buyer apparently or else your business is not serious about doing its job. Once again, to all consumers - ONLY ACCEPT LOANS FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU WANT HEADACHES!2nd Reply - After calling your company to try to get you to do your job, someone there figured out they hadnt sent everything to the title company like they thought they had. So after forcing you to do your job we are back on for closing tomorrow. See folks, these are the kind of headaches this company provides. My advice - take your business elsewhere.

Nuhome group is working to close a loan that is now 20 days past the original closing date with no end in sight. Throughout this process they have failed to openly communicate with any party involved, they have not even had the common curtesy to provide any updates until several days after each deadline was missed. Due to their lack of follow through my wife, 1 yr old daughter, and I have been living in an empty house for a month and will not be able to enjoy Christmas in the same fashion as the people a Nuhome will with their families. Their delays have cost us hundreds if not a few thousand extra dollars at Christmas time and the financial burdens will continue until they can clear this loan to close. I am disgusted at their inability to communicate, and follow through with their responsibilities as a home lender. This gross negligence is unacceptable for any institution at any time, much less one that controls a familys home at Christmas! I hope that this review is taken seriously and a swift resolution is found!1/3/16 This is my second review of Nuhome group. My wife, 18 month old daughter and i have now been living in an empty house with only an air mattress and card table for furniture for the last 30+ days due to Nuhomes lack of ability to do their job. they continue to fail to communicate any information within the time-frame they themselves set! i understand if you have a difficult file and it takes time to get things done, but it does not take any extra time to make a phone call or send an email to the parties involved so that we are not left waiting for information that is not coming. this is now more than 5 times within the 30+ days past the original close date that we have been told we will give you an update and they have failed to do so. i am past being upset that Nuhome has not been able to get the clear to close on the file we are all so anxiously waiting on and would at least settle for some communication and meeting a slef imposed deadline even if it is just them telling us we are still working on it and have no new information yetCOMMUNICATE!
