My husband and I are first-time homebuyers, and we were referred to Guild Mortgage by a friend. Initially, things seemed to be going well. We worked diligently to improve our credit score based on their advice, thinking we were being put into a program with the credit score of 620, with $0 down and no closing costs. However, we soon discovered this was not the case. At the end of the process, we were asked for $3,000 and $11,000 down, with no prior written communication to prepare us for this.Moreover, our credit was run multiple times, which negatively impacted our score. The experience left us feeling devastated, as this kind of behavior preys on first-time homebuyers and heightens fears of scams and deceitful practices.When my realtor Alice tried to address these issues, Erik Maya from Guild Mortgage was incredibly rude and even hung up on her—highly unprofessional behavior. The staff, including someone named Maricio, seemed uninformed and unhelpful throughout our dealings with them.This entire ordeal has left us discouraged and disheartened. We will never refer anyone to Guild Mortgage and hope to find a company that values professionalism and customer care. Shame on you, Guild Mortgage. May God guide us to a better, more honest company.

As loan officer I expected him to not be so shady and actually help his client. The way he would push things off to his assistant who messed up closing the last day made it very frustrating and only thing he wants it to push his agenda despite some of the request we made. Consistently makes empty promises without any follow upsNew update: 3/5 After the review the team reached out to me again after 6 months. They promised they would make it right and finally sent me a written email of what the refinancing processes would be like the promises they made. Will keep everyone updated after we refinance. I wish there was a 0 star option to give. Erik was recommended to me. Though communicative in the beginning that was as far as it went with him. Firstly he mentioned they only did soft pulls at first. After submitting all the documents requested, the day they pull my report I receive notifications across all bureaus that a hard pull was made and when inquired about it, he denied it being them. I had to follow up with Erik on the status of my pre approval. If I hadn’t followed up, I wouldn’t have heard from him as my application had already been archived. I am still awaiting additional resources he mentioned would be sent to me weeks ago. I definitely wouldn’t recommend him to anyone. Poor Service

Everyone Ive ever interacted with has been very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. My husband and I are always very busy and with limited time to discuss anything going on over the phone and they have been great at communicating through emails. I havent dealt with any other company that has been this good! Communication is vital through the process and specially with covid times not allowing us to meet in person information might fall through the cracks. Not with cherry creek though! Cherry Creek Mortgage is the easiest mortgage company I have ever worked with. I have purchased four houses over my lifetime and all purchases have been extremely stressful because of last minute mortgage issues. Cherry Creek was an exception. I kept waiting for the last minute documentation issues and they never happened. They are on the ball and get everything up front so that there is no last minute gotchas. They also inform you by email and phone weekly regarding the status of your loan application. I would and will recommend them to everyone I know buying a home. Erik and his staff are superb!

I am honored to share my loan experience. I was referred to Cherry Creek Mortgage, LLC from my real estate agent Shirmel Gumbs-Heyliger. She spoke highly about the team.We spoke with Erik on Fathers day. He jumped in and requested documents within the first 2 days. In the past I had lenders request documents late in the process which was stressful. Erik team takes pride in closing loans.Every Tuesday Erik gave us an update. He returned our calls if he was on the other line. Erik assigned our loan procsser Dione Jones. She was amazing 😀. We had a Veterans loans, and used the Texas Veterans Land Board. Our loan was Dione first time working with the land board. We were told our house would close on July 19th. On July 15th, we closed early due to the team hard work, and commitment. I dont understand how the reviews are rated the way they are. Moving to Texas, they only seemed to want to rush off the phone, they dont care about their customers, only themselves. I recommend looking for a lender who will take the time to answer your questions and actually do what you ask of them. Ive bought more than once and their service is not what you should expect and Erik for future reference, be professional with your clients if you want to keep them.
