Thank God the house is nice. My experience with the Lending group was terrible. They wasted my time and tied up my cash. I was able to switch lenders and get to closing within 7 days. This may be one of the first time I truly felt singled out and possibly discriminated against. I am gainfully employed, have excellent credit and cash to close but Lennar continued to find ways to not help me. Fortunately I was able to engage a competitor with ethics and get the deal done. Had this purchase not been for my mother and she had not fallen in love with the property I would have walked away. On a positive note. The closing was pleasant the the Notary was highly professional and positive. He is not representative of the organization.

We had the worst experience with them. At the time of purchase our agent told us that Lennar is notoriously famous for being unorganized. We put the down payment 3 months ago and supposed to close on the house with in a month. We have not closed yet. The staff are not well educated in terms of customer relationships. They have been mainly dealing with low priced housing. However, Lennar morgage now provides services to their new brand, village builders, which deals with middle priced homes. As a result, they have a different set of clientele that they don’t know how to handle. The staff were very rude, not easily reachable, and once in a blue moon when they were answering their phones most of the times they did not have a correct answer and it would take them for ever to get an answer and get back to us. At the same time, 4 people from Lennar mortgage were in contact with us which made it confusing for us and them too. I can go on with how bad our experience has been so far.

My experience was terrible from beginning to the end and after closing. My loan officer Cesar Paisano cost us an additional $2,500 in closing cost. I don’t know if it was because of his inexperienced or incompetence. We were never told we had a too high Debt To Income (DTI). When we would ask about certain numbers on our closing disclosure, we were always told he didn’t know and would find out and get back with us, Which he never did. The day prior to closing, when pressed about the amounts on the CD we were then told it had to do with our DTI and would have to be paid off. (We had already paid off the debt) in order to close without penalties, we were forced to closed and bring the money for the debt to closing even though we had paid the debt in full, costing us an additional $2,500. Our closing cost was over $45,000. Because of a late night closing, we didn’t pick up keys until the next morning, Only to find out the home had been burglarized by someone employed or associated with Lennar. There was no forced entry just a broken window that no one came through. All the appliances were stolen from the home(stove, microwave, dishwasher & washer & dryer) Lennar did replace the appliances but it took them almost 2 weeks to do so. I’m a realtor and would never refer my clients to Lennar because of my experience with the Sales person (Tomas) and my loan officer Cesar. My review about Tomas will be posted once a receive the request to leave a review. On a positive note my closing officer Tamara was wonderful with any questions at the end and getting us closed a day early since we were leave to go out of the country the following day, which was the day Lennar set our closing date for.

The process of buying a house can be a stressful one if you do not have the right team. Fortunately, I had an extremely knowledgeable and helpful team that made my process stress free. It helped me I had’ve been getting ready for this moment and had all my ducks in a row but the mortgage team was great. Ryan Priest (Loan Officer) explained every item in the tons of paper work I had to sign. He was available for my questions and let me tell you, I had a lot. Overall I had a satisfactory and smooth process of buying my first home.
Elizabeth Cavazos was an excelente loan officer, responding all my questions and attending all my calls in a great manner and always looking for the best solutions. She spoke with me in Spanish my native language making the process easy and less stressful for me. I appreciate a lot all the service Elizabeth did in my case. Excellent work and excellent person.
Lennar led me and my wife on for a month. They encouraged us to enter into a purchasing agreement causing us to assume that everything with the loan was in good shape. They moved the planned closing date without telling us. It was supposed to be on the 18th and it got moved to the 27th with us finding out by seeing the date changed on some paperwork. They didnt ask for any documents or conversations until about 2 or 3 weeks until the new closing all of which was documents not conversations. Then with 2 weeks until closing they told us that we didnt get the loan because of my wifes employment history. We soon found out from Rocket Mortgage and Oakdale Mortgage who were both helpful and gave us an answer in a day that we didnt qualify for the FHA loan we were going for because Im 1099 and hadnt been doing so for long enough to begin with. Something that Lennar should have known immedataly and not taken a month to figure out. Then if you dont get approved you have to sign more documents to get your refundable earnest money back. And while they want that money transferred immediately, to give it back they give themselves 90 days and mail it just to make the process longer and ensure a negative experience.
Our experience with loan officer Rich Walters was awful. We were not kept informed throughout the loan process consistently being told that everything was going well only to be told with only two weeks till closing that we did not meet FHA requirmnents to begin with. This should have been communicated as soon as it was found out not hidden from us until the last possible minute. In addition Rich would not contact me only my husband despite instructions to contact me. I did not speak to rich directly until we were denied it was only once I had a list of direct questions that we found out why we were denied, or that lennar had a backup lender. Rich’s communication is extremely poor and he has made it very clear he never cared about us or the purchase of our home, he has left an incredibly bad taste in my mouth about ever working with lennar again.

The house has great features, latest technology and looks amazing. Service was great. I’m only not giving 5 starts because the closing date was changed to 1 month later and it caused me some headaches with my lease termination notice. Thanks God we could cancel the notice before someone could rent our apartment. Despite that I highly recommend Lennar.

I recently purchased a new construction home with Lennar. The Senior Loan Officers name is Cesar Paisano. He was very knowledgeable, and in my opinion was very respectful. If I had required document questions, that I needed answered he was never hard to contact. Mr. Paisano would explain the process to you in a way you’d understand. He didn’t talk fast with a lot of nonsense. Genuinely concerned about you getting your home, he didn’t take short cuts. He was never rude.He did make sure you did your part a buyer. He’s very focused on what he’s doing especially making sure you can afford the home you’re trying to buy. It was a good experience. I thank him along with Emily Zelaya, and Terry Woodward. These people actually cared and they celebrate with you in your happiness when you’ve closed. I know I made the right choice with Lennar.
We love our new home and the experience thus far with Lennar Mortgage has been very easy. The virtual closing is the only thing that was a little strange as there is no one to explain every thing that you are signing; however, we had a great realtor that was so helpful so my only suggestion is to have a realtor that is competent or has contacts that can help walk you through the virtual closing. Our team, Luis, Kara, and Marie were fantastic - excellent communication and very responsive. Very satisfied.
Ashleigh Jones was our loan officer and she was completely amazing! If you choose to purchase a home through Lennar I hope that you get her. She is very detailed oriented and will make sure you are aware of everything through the whole process. If you have questions she always responds immediately via text or call back. What can I say? As a first time home buyer, Lennar made the process easy. But really it was Ryan who made the process seamless. He made sure to update me with any changes pertaining to my loan, explained any changes that were made and was available whenever I had a question. I had a hiccup weeks before closing but he fought me to keep my loan and now I’m living in a beautiful Lennar home. I just recently closed on a townhome with Lennar Mortgage and Sandra Still was my loan officer (Christina Hoyt was my sales consultant). Probably one of the best choices I made outside of the home. We were dreading the whole mortgage process, but I was pleasantly surprised at how hassle free and efficient Ryan Priest and the Lennar team made everything. No request seemed unreasonable, and the incentives and interest rate they offered couldnt be beat. Although our expected closing date was pushed back because of construction delays, Im still surprised by how smoothly everything went. Its hard to believe were now in our new home. I thought wed have to search for weeks and jump through hoops to get here, but it turned out to be a walk in the park!

First time homebuyer here! I dealt with a lot of other home mortgage companies and was consistently frustrated by how much they tried to rush me while never communicating the information I needed. Lennar was the complete opposite of this. They never rushed me (they gave me deadlines that were appropriate), they were completely upfront about how they work and were always available to call if I had questions or concerns. My loan officer Amber was incredibly nice and got back to me in a timely manner. Their contract was very reasonable (I saw some gnarly contracts before theirs) and they walked me through every step of the process from escrow to signing. I highly recommend them as a home mortgage company as well as a builder!

Very bad experience with Lennar Mortgage mainly due to their underwriter(s). Very incompetent and arrogant underwriting dept. They asked illogical questions about brokerage transactions and do not provide status even after multiple emails, calls. The remote signing was very confusing too. Used them only due to builder push.3/6 Lennar Review response team: Instead of contacting customer and using our information/identity, ask your Loan Originator & Processors about the Underwriting issues and lack of response (as per processor, these are internal issues) & challenges they face with the inept UW dept! We had great experience with other lenders in the past, and not seen such incompetence, and holding customer hostage till closing day. Read the older 1 star reviews as well, others mentioned similar experience. I assume 5 star reviews are from 1st time home buyers ????

The entire process was great, although our closing was delayed two days. Stephen, our loan officer, worked diligently until we finally were able to close. The main problem was definitely a lack of communication and confusion between people at the title office. Nevertheless, Lennar is a great company in my opinion, and I would recommend anyone to go through them. They gave us great incentives and a really good rate. Not to mention, Lennar homes are gorgeous. So, bottom line, go with Lennar!

Great experience overall and using technology (Lennar page) to upload documents. In addition, ability to track each step of the way. Nancy was wonderful and quickly responded to my questions. Only recommendation to Lennar is decrease the number of product offering, and would eliminate auto enrollment of products. To then have to opt out of them later in the loan process, which one could easily forget about it.
Elizabeth Cavazos is our loan officer and she is above and beyond! She is the best! 🤩 The rest of the team including Andrea Torres is the best too. They are both nice all the time and easy to deal with! Lennar in general is excellent! 🤩
I just want to say that I am very please with Lennar Mortgage and my Loan office Josie Gonzalez. She and her company really looked out for me and my family and was always a phone call or txt away. They made the process easy and all so convenient for me. I would definitely recommend Lennar Mortgage!
I would not recommend Lennar Mortgage to my worst enemy. The entire process felt like buying a used car. They will tell you anything just to get you to sign the contract. And if you adhere to and jump through all their little hoops they can deny you for whatever bogus reason they feel like it. For instance, I gave 10k down back in August/September. We get down to closing in December and all of a sudden 3 days before closing they tell me they can’t use my funds because the money is NOT “seasoned” enough to use towards purchasing my home. But guess what the money is “seasoned” enough for them to keep which they are trying to do so.

Lennar makes beautiful homes. However, my experience with Lennar mortgage was a dreadful nightmare. Specifically, Michelle Davidson. I will only list 4 of the major issues I had with her.1. Michelle Davidson is not only rube, but she is incompetent. She does not know the law as it applies to veterans and tax exemption. How, as a loan officer, IN THE STATE OF TEXAS do you not know Tax Code Section 11.131. I had to send her multiple emails with this information. Even on closing my documents were not correct and Michelles only response was oh.2. 7 Days before closing Michelle informs me that I have to take care of balance I had; if I wanted to move forward. This balance was $9,000. You can imagine how upset I was finding out 7 days before closing, I am now for the first time being told to pay 9k. Please keep in mind, this contract was signed on Dec 28, 2023. They had over a month and a half to tell me this. But they waited until 7 days before closing.3. Prior to making the payment, I was told this was the only stipulation the underwriter required. I made the payment on 02/23. On 02/25 they advised of 5 more requirements. This is after I made the payment, and these requests were sent to me on a Sunday. According to them these items were requested by the VA... ON A SUNDAY? So my realtor asked the obvious question, How long had you known about these requirements. And why are we finding out on a Sunday 2 days before closing. Michelle advised this is what the VA requested... ON A SUNDAY!4. Despite the process being naturally difficulty, there was an unnecessary burden added when we delt with Michelle. I say WE because my realtor had to intervene in the finale 2 weeks because I refused to work with Michelle. Michelle at one point was yelling at me, and even questioned where I was getting my money from. As a veteran who suffers from PTSD, interacting with Michelle made me extremely uncomfortable, triggering my PTSD.I ask myself often, would Michelle have been the same with me if I was a different race? Would someone of a different race have to explain their education, and what qualifies them for their current position? Please keep in mind, I have a Masters Degree. I doubt Michelle has asked anyone for one year of bank statements, yet verbally Michelle asked for one year of statements and once my realtor was involved she changed her tone.I could go on and on about how despicable Michelles behavior was but my realtor said it best. In 20 years of being a realtor I have never seen a lender do these things. Michelle was literally working against me. She was setting obstacles and barriers in front of me, that made no sense. In addition to the hurdles I had to jump, her disgusting attitude made her completely unbearable to work with.If you are going to buy a home and Michelle is your loan officer...demand another loan officer. If you are reading this before going with Lennar Mortgage, use Veloico Mortgage. I worked with a guy named Jonathan, and he was amazing. So amazing that halfway through working with Michelle, I reached out to Jonathan and was willing to go with a 7.25 interest rate. That is how nauseating working with Michelle was.To add insult to injury on the day of closing she walked into the office and tried to shake my hand. As if 2 weeks prior she wasnt yelling at me. As if she wasnt aware of how disrespectful she has been. This woman is horrible at what she does. She lacks basic people skills, and does not know her job.Trust me when I tell you, the home buying process can be very easy. Is it intrusive? Yes! Will you be frustrated? Yes! But, having a loan officer that gets it, and is working in your favor makes it worth while. Although I love my home, it was not worth dealing with Michelle.

My experience with Lennar Mortgage was excellent. Shana was incredibly patient and thoroughly informative in answering my many questions. The friendly professionalism was a refreshing experience as she guided me through every step of the process. I highly recommend using Lennar Mortgage!
I was NOT at all pleased with the experience with Lennar Mortgage. I wont use them again. The underwriter was a joke. Simply not accepting documents, which is clear and straight forward and keep asking new supporting, evidences, proof, several signed Letter of Explanations for various things. The team is scared of the underwriter, who act like a GOD and reject documents for no clear reasons. Until 2 days before closing, I have no commitment or confirmation that the loan will be approved. This is equal to taking the customer for a ride, because you have no time left, now, to close the transaction!!! . Simply Forget the freebies Lennar company is offering, if you use Lennar Mortgage for your financing needs, Instead go to external lender and use a broker for peace of mind and get far better services.
This was by far the worst experience I have had in purchasing a home. There was a lot of miscommunication which included the closing date. The builder and sales team were easy to work with, but I would not recommend going with Lennar Mortgage. They were quick to respond and worked to correct errors on the part of Lennar while the loan team was not. Communication is done majority via email -- which is challenging when you work in a profession/company that has hard firewalls making responding to personal emails quickly during normal business hours challenging. I had purchased other homes before from other builders and this was a completely different experience than those. I was in tears at the end of this home purchasing experience and am thankful that the process is over. There was no excitement in getting my new home which was truly unfortunate.

The overall experience was sub-par. I didnt have a choice because Lennar Builder forced me to use Lennar Mortgage. The process was very tedious and I was asked to submit documents that are either irrelevant or redundant. Also got a bad deal with interest rate because I didnt have choice to go with any other lender.
Luis Aguilar is an amazing loan officer! He went over the loan process with me in great detail. And was available for any questions I had through the process.

I want to share my awesome Home Buying experience with Lennar Houston and its staff. To respect their privacy I won’t include their last names. I started touring in June with Celina D. At the New Caney, Texas Welcome Center. From the start she was totally awesome! I toured approximately 5 homes until I decided on one. From there their process began. It was then I started working with Shana B.She got started right away! They kept me up to date on every movement and i responded promptly. Then, I started meeting others like Mischle D. , Construction Manager Travis B.,Sydney S. Patrick S. and others…..I forgot the young lady’s name I did myWalk-Throughs with (I’m sorry) but you were totally awesome as well!!!Thank you Lennar and staff!I’m happy with my New home. All professionals from Lennar are amazing. I just bought a house with Lennar and can’t complement them enough for their professionalism, transparency, work ethics, agility, convenience, prompt response and outstanding customer service! Thank you all soooo much!!
The Good:- Overall and comparatively speaking, bearing in mind how typical loan processes are in the US whereby the process itself tends to be highly inefficient, with documents and endless verifications / justifications being requested along the way and not all or at least most at once, my experience with Lennar was good. The very last document requested from the senior loan processor was 5 days prior closing, at which point my loan was fully approved, which is better than most cases I’ve heard of, where until the very closing day, people are often requested verification/justification documents.- Despite the inherent process inefficiencies, I could observe how the multiple departments and segments across Lennar worked together in the end i.e., Sales, Loan, Insurance, Title etc.The Bad:- It became evident to me that the Lennar loan team (loan office primarily) was understaffed for the very high amount of closing volume they have, resulting in me having to almost beg them and wait long times (weeks) to be able to get on the phone with them to review or work on items together during the loan process.- Also due to the very high closing volumes, any request for date/time change on the intro or final walkthroughs was rejected, leaving you with no flexibility around these key dates.
Ashleig is not proffesional loan officer.They works so slow.Dont waste your time with this company.You should find better lenders out there.

Great and exciting experience until the very end when we had closing delay. Got an email saying all set to close see y’all tomorrow. Then I got another email from a different person to send a document, confused but sent anyway. Shorty after that got another email from a 3rd person saying closing delayed due to a missing document. Emailed back to see what’s going on, was told to please stand by they will let me know if still closing the next day or not. Heard nothing so I called no answer, called back and got told still waiting the underwriter is not on your time. When I asked to explain what they were looking for she huffed and puffed and told me they will email me with updates. I asked if she knew what caused the delay. She huffed and puffed again and said she’s not going to keep repeating herself and for me to wait. At this point I’m upset because none of my questions were answered and my husband and I took off work to close, my son had to transfer school that’s an hr away and we don’t know what’s going on. As I explain this to her in a frustrating voice she says I’m hanging up now and hangs up on me! Horrible customer service, made closing a horrible experience as we just wanted to be done with the process. Family and friends warned us it was a lot of work buying a house but this was not exciting at all.

The Lennar team that i worked with were incredibly kind and helped me through the process of choosing my lot to building my home to financing it successfully. Deborah Joyce , sales consultant kept checking in on me and took the time out to learn more about what we really wanted as a family. She helped my daughter choose from brick and mortar to cabinets and floors❤️Rhonda Thomas my loan officer worked day and night meticulously to help me get the best offer possible and even fought on our behalf to get paperwork completed and things accepted😂 she also called throughout the process to keep me updated and informed every step of the way! Sara Gellantly educated and guided me with my credit score which resulted in more than 100 point increase in less than 6 months! Karen Van Tassel , senior loan processor was also imperative to my home buying experience. She also assisted in making our home buying experience an awesome journey. Eric Dickinson , construction manager made sure our home was built with expertise and fixed anything that wasn’t up to par immediately. Robin Whitley walked the home with me and taught me allot about what things are supposed to look like! A crash course with a ton of IT and construction information that i hope to retain for future knowledge.😂 We love our home and have only positive things to say about the Lennar team i worked with and pray for nothing but blessings their way!! I hope i didn’t forget anyone that assisted us in our Lennar home buying experience!

I dont know if all loan officers here are the same or my bad luck just put me with awful one.If your application submitted with Michelle Davidson be ready to get rejected just 4 days before your closing day0 commenication0 updating and you will never know where are you at or your application process status.and believe it or not i got rejected with over 800 credit score and i submitted all needed paperwork.Thx lennar to make my family So sad after they was so excited to move to our first home.I dont recommend dealing with them...they gonna waste your time and your home inspection money
My husband and I are first time home buyers and I am so grateful for our team at Lennar they were all amazing and made the whole process as smooth as could be expected. From the initial meeting with Brian Collins (NHC) to how informative our lending team Miguel Astudillo and Jessica Lambert was!! Also the building team were so helpful with any concerns we had during move in!!! I don’t plan on buying another house for a long time but if I come in contact with anyone that is looking I will definitely be pointing them to Lennar!!!!
I had a very good experience with Lennar Mortgage LLC specially my loan officer Josh. He was there for me from the beginning to the end all my question answered and If I did not understand what was required from me he explained to me so well. All the documents I had to submit was communicated to me in advance and all went so well to the end now I am in my new home I recommend 105%. To start a process of buying a house is so scary but they made it so easy for me and I thank you 🙏
I had such a very positive experience working with Lennar team. I flew from California to Texas on the last weekend of October of 2020. Within a few hours, I decided to sign the contract and Randy was quick to step in to provide the Pre-approved transaction. We also had positive communication from start to finish. We want to also thank to those involved in the finance team. Great work guys!
Tiffany Stebelton was a joy to work with. She was attentive and very responsive throughout our loan process. Although rates were much higher than we expected, she even took the time to research alternative options to see if they would be a better fit for us. We appreciated most the transparency, communication, and attention to detail down to the closing day. As expected, its never the smoothest of closings, but Tiffany certainly made it as smooth as possible.
Nancy Wilson, Katie Burkett, Todd Teague, Chuck Rom, Glen Bondy and Alecia Bowen were all great. 10 stars for them all. I never would have made it without them. Nancy Wilson and team with lennar mortgage did a wonderful job. Took the time with us answering our questions and concerns. Would highly recommend Lennar for purchasing a new home.
I am active duty Army and tried using a bank that is common among military but Lennar would only give incentives if you went with them. Even though they pay for closing costs and lower interest, the experience of dealing with the worst customer service I’ve ever had is not worth the incentives. Buying your first home should be a dream come true but with Lennar is more of a nightmare. I will try to stop as many people as possible from financing with them, especially military. If I could give them zero stars I would.
