First time purchasing a home can be very stressful this was an experience that taught me what to expect if I purchase another home. Great to work with them....

I would leave a no star if I was able. This company is a joke! They do not know how to process a VA loan! They don’t follow up on anything. Constantly dropping the ball. Worst experience I’ve ever had , hands down. Under contract for five months, no approval no denial. Then at the end all the sudden we can’t get earnest money back because it expired. But they’re the ones who would never follow up or my file would sit on their desk for weeks at a time. No communication with anyone you would have to call and follow up with them yourself. Ended up, losing all money that was invested on appraisals, inspection and earnest money. Bottom line if your realtor deals with NRL, RUN!!

Working with Jonathon and the team was such a great experience! From beginning to end it was a smooth process and I never wondered where I stood on approval. Communication was superb, I would highly recommend this company.

I was recommended to use NRL by a realtor I was using. It was the worst experience EVER! Communication was terrible with Gabrielle, she would go days without responding. She strung me along for 2 months just to tell me that my income could not be used??? This was after they already preapproved me for $215,000. Every time we did speak I got the feeling she had NO idea what she was doing! Very inexperienced and very unprofessional! I would give no stars if I could. Also when I shopped for another lender I got pre approved for $340,000!! So I didn’t understand the discrepancy of over $100,000?!? Fast forward 5 months later I’ve finally moved into my home, moral of the story please shop around for a lender! I would highly recommend staying away from NRL! It’s not worth the headache.

I was comparing 2 loan companies / officers. Kat impressed me enough to get my business. She was prompt in answering questions I had concerning the loan process and the costs & fees associated with a home loan. In addition, she was friendly and personal. Kat also put out there that, if the circumstances were right, she could do a loan in 15 days. I had my first offer fall through after starting the loan application process. My experience at NRL was the most God awful experience of my life. Katherine Olmos and her mention P.Lawrence was equally as awful she portrayed she was trying to help us when in reality she was searching for every reason to not help even including saying she once called me with the actual investor on three~way 🙄.Next she went so far as to say that we weren’t able to get financing because we couldn’t have 2 FHA loans or properties within a 5 mile radius. So I reminded her the other property was paid off and was no longer a FHA property, still it didn’t matter. My husband credit score was almost an 800 when we started the process ending in a little over600 . She also told me we needed another inspection because she drug it out for almost 6 plus months after I paid for it again she then told me we didn’t need it🙄 100s of dollars wasted again . Also constantly sending the same information several times. Neither did I but I will never use her or NRL !!

This was a very horrible experience overall. I wish I could give Patti Contrasto and Tim Williams a zero rating. After about two months of catching up on documents, Patti was still late with paperwork. She would tell my wife and I that she had no help (assistant) therefore, we had to help her do her job and gather documents and etc. Also, she tried using the Texas Land board act without consulting me about it first, then told my wife and I that it was a guaranteed closing if we went through with them. They had us go everywhere around town to gather documents that Patti and Tim both guaranteed would all be needed to close, and still it wasnt enough. On top of that, we had received an email of our closing documents that everything has been approved and to show up at the location 3 days after. A day later, my wife made a call back to Patti, since it was Tim that gave us the approval, and she told us that we werent approved. We were angry because my wife and I both felt like she wouldnt have told us until the day of closing. How is it that this company contradicts itself. One lender says were closing and the other says were not closing. This was a very horrible experience as first time home buyers, it has left my wife and I both in doubt on how we are going to choose a trustworthy, honest and great team next year, since this company wasted our time for 5 months. The only relief we gained from all of this was that when it was all over, we didnt have to deal with Patti and her team anymore. We lost so much money in so little time. BEWARE!!! DONT USE THIS COMAPNY!!! STAY AWAY!!!

To be honest NRL was not the first reference I was given when starting the home buying process. it was not until my 3rd recommendation when I was set up with Martine at NRL league city. After talking to Martine a relationship was formed and I didnt look back at any other leanders. Martine was very responsive and helpful putting up with all my repetative and sometimes dumb questions. And poor Martine took my after-hours nights and eekend phone calls to try and catch houses that were flying off the market, sometimes quicker then what I could put and offer down. Mind you this was all for before meeting Martine who answered my calls and had and offer letter most of the time that same evening I requested it.What I liked most about working with the NRL league city team is that no matter who I worked with they were all very responsive and great sense of humor which is very important to me especially in these pandemic times. If you cant have fun during this stressfull process with people you trust enough to help you buy a home then you are working with the wrong team and need to move your business to Martine and her team at NRL league city.Also with all the talk with clean working environment, I always felt safe going into the office to sign and turn in paperwork and the NRL team also made it very easy to do most everything online or phone and there was never anytime I felt uncomfortable giving my information over the phone. I was kept up to date with all moving pieces of the home buying process at all times there was never one time I felt in the dark. I would and have recommended the NRL league city team especially working with Martine if I ever in the market for another home to buy I will definitely keep my business with Martine and team at NRL league city.

I filled in an online inquiry, no reply. After calling the 800 number 5 times, someone finally answered the phone. She directed me to a loan officer who did not answer the phone and the phone disconnected. I called back, a few more times for them to answer, I left a message with the person who finally answered the phone and no one called me back. I wanted to go through your company as the builder had you listed as the preferred company. So I then went online and found another number. I got in contact with someone who was so bad at responding to my questions, even after I sent all requested information, we lost the house. I told the agent I wanted to close by the end of the year. We are now approved through another lender at a good rate, they wanted even less information than you all. Time for us to get a home. I will never recommend your company to anyone and will never use you again, terrible customer service.

There should be a way to give 0 stars and I would give several. Absolutely the WORST experience ever! Patti is rude, condescending (called me Hon) and blames clients for her and her staffs mistakes. She is late on absolutely everything. Horrible communicator, never returns emails or phone calls. We almost did not close...because she was working alone and was very busy and did not complete her work until the morning of closing. Patti practices on a very thin legal line....she contacted an insurance agent to create a policy for my new home WITHOUT my permission and then tells me I really need to use that insurance agent. I could go on for hours about all the things that went wrong...none of which she ever apologized for or recognized she could have done things better. Read ALL the reviewes...95% are terrible...says a lot.....Simple...stay away!!!!!!!!!

NRL was very fast at getting my preapproval. They provided up to date emails and even helpful instructional videos on what to expect. Preapproval to closing was around 3 weeks. Pat was very accommodating in being available for any questions.

Courteous, FAST, and knew exactly all they needed. There was no back and forth, no delays, all the needed documents were requested at once. Closing actually caught me off guard, it was so well done. Kudos to Nebil and his entire team for a pleasant refi experience for a change!

I was forced to work with you as the builders lender. I was passed around between 4 or 5 different people. Nobody knew what they were doing. Everyone was inefficient, rude, unprofessional, unknowledgeable, un-empathetic ... the list could go on. I was ignored when I reached out for answers. Calls were not returned, emails went un-answered. Changes were constantly being made of which I was not being informed. My agent is angry, she said shes never worked with such a terrible company. The closing attorney hates working with you, but, his hands are tied because I guess youre his client. He said he gets complaints about you all the time. At this very moment you are holding $575 of my money. You double-charged me for my appraisal. You say the money will come back to me. But, Im not holding my breath. I closed on my house now and that means I dont have to communicate with you EVER again and THAT makes me happy!!! You sent me a survey asking how you can make things right -- well, you can give me back my $575 for starters. And, maybe you could fire Laurie Gillespie and Nicole Bankhead. They were the worst! Laure in particular did not return a single call from me. She also had my portfolio for a year and didnt get started working on it until right before we were supposed to close. Then, she ran into issues and needed things from my agent immediately. Then, she was rude to my agent, telling my agent she didnt have the facts right. In fact, it was Laurie who didnt have her facts right.

I wish there was a negative star, this place is a joke and does not do anything to assist in getting the mortgage that they client desires. They only work for themselves and underwriting ask for so many letter of explanations and so many documents it outrageous, I have been thru the mortgage process a few times and this was by far the worst experience and most stressful. Had I not had a sale and purchase all set I would have told them to forget the mortgage and go elsewhere. Thankfully I have refinanced to the exact loan I wanted to begin with and the process took 3 weeks instead of 2 months of hell. I would start far away from this place. You will have a much better experience elsewhere.

It seems like NRL is where bad loan originators go to work. I should have heeded the warnings of other reviews. My builder pressed me to use Nicole Solari and her team to buy our first home. After issuing our pre-approval, which stated that everything- including my income had been verified, Nicole and her assistant Bailey discovered several things that could have been avoided up front, such as the 12-month rule for discharging debt that is on your credit report, but you dont pay for, in my case this was a lease that I co-signed on with a family member. The other thing was a changed balance on our credit report, this balance reported on September 14th- days after our contract was executed and was not discovered until October 5th. Our loan was delayed 15 days at first and another 5 days after that. Im not entirely sure what the underwriting department at this lender does, but is is surely not underwriting loans. The underwriter assigned to our loan had the file for over a week and when I asked Nicole if we could speed things up she cautioned me about prodding the underwriter otherwise she might delay or sabotage our loan. In what business is it okay to even entertain the notion that someone might intentionally mess with your life like that. The decision to go with this lender cost me and my family over $5,000, a month and a half and even more money extending our lease and finding somewhere to live within a day. Worse yet, the underwriter then made a decision to not approve our loan on the grounds that part of my income, verified by my company, that I pay taxes on- was not income causing our loan to be denied. Throughout this process in the last week we sought updates, myself being a seasoned Real Estate agent, knows that a file should not take weeks to be underwritten. When called, Nicole did not have answers and the conversation escalated (understandably so as we missed two trips due to the extended closing date and spent tens of thousands of dollars by then to close) to the point of her blocking phone numbers. Way to run into the fire. Now we have no house. Do not waste your time, money or effort on this sham and unprofessional operation.
