Good Day All,As you can see my 5 star reviews with other businesses, which I have visited in the past. As I love to build healthy relations with any business I deal with. And I completely ignore minor issues.But unfortunately my case is different with Abhijit Sreerama and Vijetha Sreerama (probably the franchise business owners for Keyrenter Management).I have much to say, but I would say one thing at the moment, As you see many people saying in the comment box that THEY HAVE PAID REVIEWS IS for a reason.I also gave them a 5 star in the start, after a sugar quoted customer service of their rep, but eventually I had to change it after seeing the reality. But I think mostly people just forget to change or leave it if they are not extreamly disturbed.*Personally had a very bad experience and will not recommend this place.Thanks.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with a customer service agent from Keyrenter Houston, and I was blown away by the exceptional service I received. The agent was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to address my concerns.

I moved in to my Townehouse October 24,2023 and have received nothing but pure hell. Nothing was getting fixed, there is a wall under the sink that has a full hole outside, my toilet was broke for 6 months, I had no water and air on and off from for a month, and so much more. I moved out November 24, 2024 and here it is January 15, 2025 and I have not received my deposit check. They just told me I can’t pick up my deposit after taking $1,150 of my deposit for things I never broke.

Pretty much every review is a Paid Review- Dont believe these reviews, they should be reported to BBB. The marketing/sales team tells you one and the execution is something else. Promises are made in the air and then they will deny. Owners ask for something to be done, they will not. There is a mediator vic who is a messenger and we are at his mercy if we need to talk to someone. Someone named Abhi claiming to be the boss refuses to work with the Owner and cites Terms.. Contracting with them was a mistake, definitely NOT recommend and not committing the mistake againUpdate as of Feb 2025 - They blind side you by adding new “$99 owner charges for accounting” without any communication and have the audacity to respond back to a client (refer screenshot)They hold the money for the whole month and not deposit till asked. “Poor accounting practices “Because I exposed them- they decided to terminate my contract … glad they did. Worst company to deal with.

Xander was the best help ever, he was so quick and very responsive, never have we ever gotten through a process so smoothly without any problems whatsoever, we definitely got the best service from him hands down.

Vic was very pleasant but his response time in some cases can be approved on. I hated the fact that I had to drop off money to a drop box and wasn’t able to get a receipt or speak with someone. This was nerve racking! But eventually Vic did respond and got me what I needed to put my mind at ease. Other than that Vic made the process easy for me.

Vic was the absolute best! He was respectful understanding and has great communication skills. He responded to all my emails and took my calls efficiently and I’m so grateful that I had him through this process. Thanks so much Vic Job well done!

Changing my review, this is not a bitter response but and Honest one. I rented through keyrenters when I first moved to Houston. My place was not cleaned and I’ve dealt with roaches concurrently.The communication is back and forth, the people who answer the phone never know the answer and the people who do never is available. Not all staff is horrible some are prompt in request but overall I’ve had an horrible experience the cons definitely out weigh the pros

I have no complaints about this company. Keyrenter Property Management goes far and beyond what you would expect a management company to do. They’re always attentive, professional and courteous when dealing with their tenants. The company stays on top of things when it comes with maintenance request, they try their best to get it done as soon as possible and always follow up to make sure that the request has been completed in an efficient and professional manner. Their employees are great as well very professional and knowledgeable about their work. Mr. Herrera the contractor always comes through and does the job efficiently, I have no complaints about his work.

I dont often make posts here on Google, but when a company has an egregious infuriating policy, something must be said. Tried to schedule a viewing of a property - no response, repeated several times. Called their office and was told I was identified as a fraud by their system and marked as do not rent to per the office person I talked to. There was no reason given for this evaluation, and nothing can be done. Not only is this a seriously decision in error of who I am, the fact there was zero feedback via the online requests to view a property is a serious fault in their systems. I did view a property however, piggybacking on another family that was let in. The property had the smell of mold, roaches were all over the floor and a patio door that would not close. The fact that this company does not maintain properties for showing indicates their level of maintenance, the inability to make human decisions and the lack of feedback to inquiries ranks this property at the bottom of the reputable companies I have worked with in the past.Edit: Per the response given here by the company; I asked that family and was invited, so flag them too. Per your response, I am quite sure there is a fairness in reporting act that dictates you share what fraud was encountered, especially since you neither contacted me to verify, contacted absolutely no one, and do not show up on any credit report inquiry - whatever system you are using does not appear to be a commercially available one - this on top of the fact that I was only asked for my financials on some short form email response - should make anyone wonder how any discriminatory decision can be made about anyone - what? Maybe you just didnt like how my name was spelled..? meh, my post will stand here, it is on you to communicate to a prospective tenant whether or not they are acceptable for viewing - your company, whoever you are - failed in that respect. After reading through other posts here, it becomes obvious you have poor business practices, communication and are argumentative to the truth.

I’ll be honest. The experience with key renters has been pretty good. I can’t give a 5 star experience just yet. I’m only 2 months into my lease.The process of getting accepted is VERY slow so expect that when applying. Approval takes close to a month.Customer support has been good so far. All my questions and emails get answered within a reasonable time now that I’m a tenant.Maintenance is 50/50. We submitted our inspection report and only 2 things of the things we had were actually addressed and approved to be fixed.But overall key renters has been good to us so far. If anything comes up, I’ll update my review.also DO NOT use the complimentary concierge service. The people at the conceirge service tried to sign me up for a 3 year electricity plan when my lease was only for a year. Set up the services yourself and save the trouble!Im not even joking! But keyrenters has been great so far!Edit: Lease is over! Overall I give them a 5/10. They respond pretty quick for maintenance requests so thats good but theyll make you pay for every little thing. Im sure before moving in, they dont inspect things as well as they should because the airfilter looked like it hadnt been changed in months and the lawn was a mess. I had to replace the water filter in the fridge 2-3 times myself.Vic was great! Always on it though. The residents benefits package that you pay an extra $40 a month on top of rent feels like a waste of money because the bug killer person never came out and I never saw the benefits of it. Keyrenters said originally over the phone that they would pay for the water and we the tenants would just supply electricity and gas but then changed their mind and said wed be responsible for water. They didnt send air filters until 4 months into the lease.If your walls get faded paint then kiss your security deposit goodbye because theyll charge you for that too. The walls werent even damaged, the paint just faded away. I thought that qualified as wear and tear but according to keyrenters it doesnt.Will I lease with them again? No. It took too long to get approved and all the hurdles to get things handled and fixed up arent worth the money. Ill never rent a house ever again. Not just keyrenters but point blank.5/10 experience. Dont waste your time if you want your security deposit back because youre not going to get it back. Im glad its over at least.

Although I qualified and everything checked out: background, income, credit score- I was denied due to ‘rental history’. They claim they contacted my current landlord and they had no idea who I was, although the property I live only has 4 tenants total and I have been renting for 2 years. Showed proof of on time payments of rent of a year, and even the lease agreement to resolve the problem to no avail. Beware if you are of african american descent, because its highly possible that they will discriminate against you and come up with any reason to deny you, or eventually just not respond to you at all. Its evident in the complete lack of african american tenant reviews here or anywhere else, there are slim to none.

Thought I was working with a company that was credible but the only reviews Im really seeing is from workers from this terrible company leaving reviews ...investors and other property managers and also only hispanic reviewers and also renters where the black customers at thats getting approved ??? and leaving reviews ...went through the complete verification process with key renters paid my app fee ..received my credit report and also employment was verified on Friday 08/18/23 key renters never stated that my credit report was an issue until a week later on the day I had to contact them because no-one contacted me regarding if I was approved are denied ...had to call key renters back because I didnt get any correspondence after I received the email stating I will be contacted within 24/48 hrs from my info being submitted to property manager ..the property manager never contacted me after I waited the 2 days I contacted key renters on 08/23/23 spoke with vic he stated that my application was still pending and gave excuses stating why we was not contacted at the proper time key renters stated and told us to wait a few more days and that he didnt have a time to give us ..which was very unprofessional and seemed sketchy ..we proceeded to wait the next morning at 9am on 08/24/23 which is today I received an email from key renters with a denial letter stating I was denied because of my credit score dated 08/23/23 ...I know Im getting discriminated against because Im a black man the credit wasnt an issue the 3 times I spoke with Peter before I waited for them to send my info to the so called property manager no-one said anything and this was the week after I received my credit report back no-one said anything but just so happening I received a denial letter dated the same day I spoke with vic the next day ...And Also dont understand why 1st and foremost take peoples money if ur purposely not approving them because of Race Gender Discrimination BEWARE OF THIS discriminatory Company !!!!! THEY GONE TAKE YOUR APP FEE AND PURPOSELY NOT APPROVE U

BEWARE of this management company and Xander, Omar and especially Abhijit the managing broker. Where do I begin first during the application process it it took them almost 10 days to approve. The communication/ correspondence was bad but not as bad as it has gotten now. After taking almost a week and half to get the approval I went and got the cashiers check for the deposit and paid 6 months rent upfront. It still was going to be another 3 weeks before I would move in and I was assured that the house would be cleaned and made ready. That was not the case nothing was done on day of move in and I had to clean at the same time the movers are moving my things in. I still don’t have a front door key and or codes to the alarm/ ring camera and it’s almost 45 days since move in. I don’t even have a/c filters that should’ve been already there. Three weeks ago I sent an email to everyone and also my request for commission as I am also a realtor and in property management and still no reply and no funds. I have given them plenty of opportunities to rectify the matter but still no response. Being in the industry for almost 30 years I would never allow this company or their employees to manage a home for me or anyone I know. I am sure the owner does not know this is how his property is being ran!STAY AWAY!!!

We loved the property. This house was convenient. If you have mobility issues the house is easy to access.The only downfall with the house is the dusty floors and some lightbulbs that need to be replaced. Nothing crazy, well take care of those if we get the house.

Abhi and team were a very capable and also polite to talk to with initiating the listing relationship. A very confident team and active as compared to my previous experience with getting listing interest. With that being said, the communication within the organization was disjointed and infrequent over my 3 month experience. Countless request were made for the team to update me on progress with average, at best, implementation. The team was able to get interest but lacked in closing the deal. The lack of organizational communication and coordination reached its paramount when at the cancellation of the listing relationship the keys to the property were lost, and a lack of response and accountability was experience with the team on the whereabouts. There was no offer to reconcile the situation as well.

Being recentIy married and getting our first rental, I was very impressed with the work that was done for me. Being newly married, expecting, and purchasing our first home, Keyrenter made the process as stress-free as possible.

I found a duplex to rent which was listed by Keyrenter Property Management as all utilities paid. My real estate agent verified that before I paid the $40 application fee. The company asked for financial information which I provided. My real estate agent had to keep calling to check the status of the application, and after 3 days, I was informed that the listing was wrong and that the utilities would not be paid. My application fee was supposed to be refunded, so I am waiting for that. The whole ordeal was very upsetting.Update: Even though the company says they issued a refund, I still.have not received it,

I was trying to rent out a duplex in the Montrose area, I was charged for the application fee which is $40. I was notified that most of my qualifications had been approved, and that they were just only waiting to hear back from my landlord about my rental history. In that Phone call The agent explain to me that the landlord was going for the highest bitter, not what it was listed for. I was very confused because I was the first person to put the application in, which was explained to me that I would get it first, so I was confused when I got the second phone call asking what I wanted to pay for the apartment. The Agent explained to me that the landlord is going to approve the person who’s willing to pay the most. And all of my history of renting apartments/duplex/homes i’ve never had that happen to me. It was very deceiving when in fact taking my money for an application Instead of explaining to me before taking my money that they are not going by a listing price, but what the tenant is willing to pay

Its so easy to browse throu the home page. Vic helped with scheduling the viewing for us. As an agent its allways Good to have immediate responses.

Apartment was actively flooding from a broken sink and management took over 24 hrs to even respond (not that they responded, we had to call again and again). Thank god I turned off the water to the sink with tools I had to borrow or anything touching the floor in my apartment would have been ruined. Also, given the length of time it is likely my neighbors would have experienced flooding as well due to one broken sink. My apartment has 3 sinks and this was the only sink that has worked on move in. It is now one month later and none of my sinks are working. Worst part is that I pay “resident benefits package” and the benefit was supposed to be maintenance. It feels like they couldn’t care less when I call in, as long as I pay rent it feels as though the apartment will continue to deteriorate and I will eventually have to move before my lease runs out.Edit: I have looked at some of the reviews and found that part of the reason this company can maintain such a positive rating on google, is that some of the reviews are done by employees. Specifically, Xander Cruz and Abhi Sreerama are employees of the company that are either mentioned in other reviews, or we have met in person. I have reported these reviews.
