Big State was a great way to get my mom’s house sold for the highest offered price. They work with you to ensure that everything goes smoothly. They were kind enough to arrange for my mom to sign the closing paperwork at an office closer to her new apartment since she’s not comfortable driving on the freeway (even as a passenger). We worked with Andree and Lucas and they gave us honest answers and treated my elderly mom with respect. I will certainly use them again if I need to sell my own home or help a friend.

So I gave them 3 stars but it’s only to help them do better. If they’re open to change, I’m sure bigger things are in store for them in the future. Big State Home Buyers was my first choice. Not from word of mouth but from reading Google reviews. Although some of the reviews were kinda hmmm…maybe not so flattering my experience was overall positive. The ONLY flaw or draw back I had was with scheduling. Scheduling was sporadic, a hiccup is more predictable than what I experienced. I felt like I was on-call. I had no expectations and I remained open and hopeful throughout the process. Communication could’ve been better. The agent forgot about our appointment…guess he didn’t send a carrier pigeon or use a calendar…not sure what was up with that but I shopped at local stores until he arrived. An hour later we met and he was personable, friendly and upfront. Love that! I had a few family members say meh that’s your first choice and you went with your first choice. Well I did and my experience was good. I have no regrets. BTWs if you’re not really ready to sell, don’t waste their time, because once you’re ready to sell buckle up…everything will happen quickly. I would recommend them.

This company is amazing and the employees go above and beyond to help with any issues or questions. They are very polite and down to earth, especially Ken Annino! In August of 2023 I sadly had a death in the family and had to settle the affairs which included their house. I live in Massachusetts and the house to be sold was in Texas. I needed to sell the house quickly and sell it as is. Because we were from out of state we had to get back to our own affairs back home. After some negotiations we came to an agreement and Ken set up a closing date for the next month. Ken was always available to answer any questions or concerns that we had. Once we came to an agreement we were turned over to Stephanie Brand in the Houston office. Stephanie handled all the paperwork needed for the title company. Again, Stephanie could not have been any more helpful and understanding of our situation. She always answered my calls, even when she was on her lunch break. We were able to return home to Massachusetts and complete the process from home. The process was easy and quick, after my tenants vacated the property big state home buyers sent over and agent, Justin, who made me an offer on the house the same day. At first I was uneasy thinking it really can’t be this easy. Justin sent over a contract that same day with the offer he had verbally told me when we met at the house. I received the contract and signed it via doc signed which made the process so much easier. Any time I had a question about the process I would just text Justin directly and he would answer my questions. We closed on the house about 4 weeks after the initial contract was signed and the money was deposited into my account the same day we closed. Everything was straight forward and smooth.

I know this may seem like a long time ago but it seems like yesterday to me, because true customer service is hard to find !Three years ago my husband and I relocated to Texas from Delaware and 8 months later we lost our home and belongings to hurricane Harvey. After several months of attempting to get back on our feet we contacted Big State Home Buyers. The agent assigned to us was pleasant and a wealth of information in regards to the process of selling our now flooded home. Unfortunately I have forgotten his name but please reference our account and give him a heart felt Thank You as well.However, the person who stood out in most in my mind was Ms. Sonya Seymour. Our former mortgage company was reluctant and dragging their feet concerning the funds that were paid to them in order to finalize the sale of our home. Ms. Seymour made phone calls to our mortgage company , the title company and emailed other Big State employees involved in the process.. She did all of this while remaining professional and reassuring me every time that she would see this case to closing. I spoke with Ms. Seymour daily and was often panicked, frustrated , angry and sometimes felt defeated. Sonya never gave up on us or the process. She was like a guardian angel , always there ! .We are eternally grateful to Ms. Seymour and the Big State team for all of their efforts involved during this traumatic time for us. I had a fairly good experience, I wanted to sell my deceased fathers home quickly which had extensive damage, I had an idea of what I thought would be a reasonable sell price, I got offered 5k short of that amount. My realtor did his part and made sure I was able to close in less than 30 days and before the end of the year. The only issue I had was at closing, I was supposed to receive a copy of the paperwork the previous day which I did not. So I was caught off guard when there were additional cost involved. I understood the additional cost, but would have liked to know about them before the day of signing. Communication could have been better. The biggest plus was that my payment was ACHed the same day.

Absolutely awesome company, Doug took very good care of us and they took care of all the paperwork! All we had to do was sign a few times and we had our money about 3 weeks later! Great company to sell your home to! Would recommend this company to anyone!

Let me start this review by stating I am NOT an easy person to please - I tend to be very distrustful of sales people in general and I was very skeptical about joining into a deal with a real-estate investor. Having said that - I am very pleased to say that Big State Home Buyer is an OUTSTANDING company to work with! I had the pleasure of working with Hunter Hill and he held my hand through the entire process! My 74 yo mother was ready to sell her home after 41 years. I had 4 investor companies come to the house and all four made an offer. We chose Big State because of their professional demeanor and the fact that they significantly outbid the other companies. From that point on it was a relatively painless process - much smoother and easier than I ever imagined. When it came time to sign the actual contract, Brian Spitz, (owner), took the time to explain every section of the contract to me by phone. Throughout this entire process Hunter understood my skepticism and also that this was an emotional journey for my mother. Even through my skepticism and at times my less than professional demeanor - Hunter persevered and went out of his way to answer all my questions and make this process as smooth as possible. We signed the contract on June 14th and closed on the house July 13th! Hunter Hill is a man of his word! In summation, I will continue to highly recommend this company to friends and families!

From the moment I met Justin Mears hes been lying to me deceiving me and leading me in the wrong direction. I closed on my home Friday and they have yet to pay me my money 5 days later so theyre in default of their contract and Im about to back out of the deal because theyre causing me to go in to default on the contract for the home Im purchasing so I beg you do not ever use big state home buyers. Luckily I just now was able to terminate my contract because what they like to do is find a real nice house like mine and lowball you to death on it cuz they know youre in a bind because my mom had just died and I inherited her home and it was way behind in Texas and they went and found a buyer for it well they were under contract with me to buy it so on my closing date they didnt have the money ready from their buyer to close so beware people theyre not trying to help you theres always a better solution!!

While the sale went fine, we did a 30 day leaseback. The company has refused to pay us for the security deposit and the days not used. Their agent stopped answering phone calls and texts and every time I have called their office they say they will look into it and never get back and havent paid us the money they owe us, per our signed contract.

If people are just wanting to be treated right and are looking for quick and easy then this company is what they need to look for. I have nothing but good to say about them. I feel they were professional, attentive, expedient, and never pushy on anything. They offer a fair price and make things truly easy. I will refer anyone to do business with them! Scam. They go in contract with you. Trick you amd lie to you. Default on contract and refuse to keep their end. They take advantage of the poor.
