So saddened for the families who have suffered tremendous loss due to the lack of responsibility from Shea Homes. Toxic mold, leaving things broken, so many other stories. They are not standing up for what is right, and unfortunately that is going to result in many issues and a ruined reputation for them. Trusting someone to build your home is a big deal, and I would NEVER trust Shea Homes to build for any family.

Shea Homes sold a house filled with toxic mold to a family who has now been displaced for over a year while also being left in financial ruin because of this. On top of that, Shea Homes has done NOTHING to help this family and has made no attempt to fix the house. Truly heartbreaking that a housing company could do this to a family.

Shea Homes is unethical. Faulty contract work on a house, high toxic levels of mold and they will not take responsibility, leaving home owners displaced for a year!

Can someone answer my phone calls. Shea sales associate took my deposit and sell the house to someone else. This is a pure scam!

Y’all should be ashamed for what you did to TJ and Erin Drotleff! I hope no one has to go through this horrible experience when purchasing a home. This will be the downfall of Shea Homes once people start finding out their story!

I have attempted numerous times to contact someone to help me with an issue created by their construction crew which caused damage to my property. Only one person was courteous yet nobody has called back or come by to fix the damage. Ive been patient however their customer service is horrible. They are fast to wanna sell a property but not as quick to clean up their damage. Im expecting my property to be fixed.

Alan Snead, Shea Consultant reviewed a physical copy contract with real estate agent and myself in which an extended patio was included. He sent a docusign moments later and had removed it. In good faith, I signed. Agent and I viewed the home 20 minutes afterwards and it wasn’t an extension to the patio. Alan Sneed verbally stated he would submit a change order to have $9300 adjusted from the cost. He backpedaled 15mins later. When confronting him face to face he stood by the contract. He then stated to me that “I was angry” I asked for clarification and he said when I wrote in an email to coordinate time to review the documents being sent to me for signature vs data dumping them in email. I stated he was lying as I was not angry. I was merely asking him to review documents as I would not be signing anything not reviewed as it was in his company letterhead. Alan stated it was my real estate agent job to review Shea documents with me. When I did not agree he started yelling, slamming his hand on the desk and stood up over me. Now I am 5’1 and weigh 103 lbs. What reason would he need to tower over me while I am seated other than to intimidate me or to get me to react. Alan’s privilege allowed him to do this in the presence of the Shea Construction Manager and the real estate agent. Now Alan had yelled at the real estate agent and the assigned home inspector 1-2 week prior to him doing this to me which leads me to believe that his behavior is being ignored and condoned by Shea Homes.Please weigh your options and truly consider whether the seller values you and your loan/contract/cash. Alan Sneed, Shea Homes Consultant does not have any value for me as a Veteran, Disabled, Female, African American, Single over the age of 40.This has been ongoing since July; contracted in Sept and it is 2024 with no end in sight. Alan has yet to own any accountability or responsibility for his actions or behaviors. Shea Builders has not held him to any standards to date. Shea Builders have not issued an apology to me, the real estate agent, the home inspector, nor their own construction project manager.Corporate in California should really send a rep. in the area to investigate this matter cause I am sure this isn’t how they want to be represented. Veteran Affairs should flag this builder and not release VA Loans to sellers who discriminate and/or practices deceptive trade against Veterans.

I and my wife are talking and thinking about Shea home and there style of the house today at house gathering.I start reading about reviews.So, I decided to write my experience.I am in process of buying home. I have visited all communities in Katy ISD. We were represented by Kim in Cane island. Client engagement experience is way above then any other builder in Entire Katy market. I would give 10 out 10 and 7 star.Welcome, cammunication, tour, attention to client, answer to question.That is my experience with Shea.I am confident, if client engagement is like this, the quality of home and rest of the stuff would be better aswell.

Shea builds beautiful homes with upgrades I had never thought of. The people there were patient, attentive and informative. Great builder.

I bought shea home in spring two years ago .I been having problems with my Ac. And they refuse to fix it.

My husband and I are in the process of buying a house in Del Bello Lakes, and one of the loan originators from Shea Mortgage checked our credit without our consent.

Horrible Customer Service, sold a home with mold and continuously refused to make it right.
