Id like to start this review by stating that I dreamed of living in this Millennium for years, and I am sad & disappointed by the (lack of) service Ive received here.I live in Millennium apartments in Santa Monica and it is the most poorly run luxury apartment I have resided in.The ceiling/floors are paper thin. Side walls are fine, but you can hear every single noise from the unit above or below you. I have not slept past 6am for MONTHS, even on nights where Im working night shift. While I expect normal apartment noise, unfortunately we live under our resident maintenance man who is constantly stomping around in boots, letting kids run at full volume, etc - it is to the point where I am no longer permitted to work from home due to the extreme noise that overrides noise canceling headphones and intrudes on client calls.Initially, our maintenance man stated that he wanted us to knock on the ceiling if we heard noise. We were uncomfortable with this, but as the sound was so overwhelming, we knocked ONCE at extreme noise. This, hilariously, got us a noise complaint from that individual to management.Building-wide fire alarms are constantly going off - disabling elevators & closing fire walls. There is no communication when the elevators are not in service. The regular smoke detectors are too sensitive and they are constantly alarming from nearby units during meal times. We have inquired about a storage unit for six months and have been consistently pushed off, only to find months later that building management has made no progress in identifying vacant storage units. We were given the reason that tenants are not complying with audits, which is a management issue - not mine. When we first moved in, all of the appliances were extremely scratched and dented. We had no working dishwasher. It took a month to receive a working dishwasher in our unit.Despite addressing these concerns with multiple members of our building management, not a single thing has been resolved. This apartment would be PERFECT if our issues were addressed, but despite trying multiple times, it appears they wont be.Im leaving this review as Ive hit my breaking point in terms of lack of response from building management. It is exhausting to follow up on months-long issues on a weekly basis only to see that an email has not received a response. As it stands, we will absolutely not be renewing at Millennium Santa Monica which is extremely upsetting as we have fought to have all issues resolved here to no avail.

After dealing with significant issues at Sterling Union Apartments, I reached out to Dinerstein Management Company, hoping they would help resolve the situation, but the outcome was even more disappointing. At Sterling, I was told no new tenant could take over my lease until I paid the reletting fee, yet they gave the keys to someone else before I had made the payment. Despite this, I went ahead and paid the same day, only for Sterling to move my name to another unit without my consent and continue charging me rent. I provided Dinerstein with all the necessary documentation, including receipts and communications proving the errors, but instead of addressing the problem, they ignored the facts and continued to defend Sterlings actions. They even altered payment records to cover their tracks. Their refusal to resolve the issue honestly and their ongoing misrepresentation of the situation show a complete lack of integrity. I would not recommend dealing with Dinerstein due to their poor business practices and unwillingness to act in good faith.

Serial manipulators. Consistently predatory and evasive. After many emails they still refuse to remove and refund charges for absurd add-on charges such as credit enhancing service charges hidden in contracts. Shady and shameful.

Santa Monica MillenniumWe live here since 2021Today was the worst experience I have ever had.The problem with prohibited ventilation on the roof is really big. They don’t turn it off for the night even they promised they always will.Today we spent 3 hours to ask them to turn it off and NOTHINGJADEN LITERALLY RAN OFF FROM US WHEN WE TOLD HIM THATThis is crazy. This noise is over every limits and very dangerousBasically management doing nothing with the crazy problem. The ventilation is right across our windows and it’s very very loud, makes dangerous noise .They can’t solve the problem for two yearsSo now I hope congressman and city of Los Angeles public health can do itSuch a shame on your managementThis is very very poor management and they must be fired

Response to owner: Unfortunately, this wasn’t just management’s error in having emails turned off. Once again, our only elevator has been down for hours and building FOB reader has been down for days and we haven’t yet received an email acknowledging the issue or setting an estimated fix time. Staff are simply not responsive about problems as a rule.TDC recently bought my apartment building in Nashville, TN and it has completely gone downhill. Staff and maintenance used to be great, now they’re incompetent. We don’t even get so much as an email when parking garage door or elevator is broken, or even when water in the building gets shut off. It doesn’t matter how many times I try to reach out to my building staff, management, or TDC — no one ever responds. They spend 100% of their time on pointless rebranding to lure new residents in.

Literally do not live in any of their properties. This was my experience in Nashville TNAt first, the management seemed like they would do anything for us, but over time, management’s respect for the tenants declined significantly.A few of the benefits of this apartment include: gym in the building, easily accessible parking, good location, nice pool, and the maintenance and cleaning staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The negatives about this apartment include: oven took forever to heat, washing machine broke a few times, our rent would gradually increase each month without explanation, amenities were closed due to Covid for 5+ months, and we were not provided any reimbursement (management said amenities were “free”, and that’s why they wouldn’t reimburse), when we were moving out (2-3 months early), because we bought a house, the first management told us we would be able to break our lease early with no penalty, but the new management refused to honor that commitment. The new management talked to the old management, and he (old management) denied his initial commitment, as well. We were told by one staff member that we would get our pet deposit back when we left and were denied that, as well. They did say we would get the deposit back when our subleaser moved out instead. The new management had said originally that she would take care of us and not to worry about moving out early, but after talking to the old management, she went back on her word and said we would have to pay out the rest of our lease for moving out early. To avoid paying the rest of our lease, we found a subleaser, but the remainder of our lease amount was already applied to our account without speaking to us. We were able to get the charge reversed, however. Management used to host monthly free events and have since changed the catered events to be paid for by the tenants. Overall, this apartment suited our initial needs upon moving to Nashville, but if we had not bought our house, we would have definitely looked for another apartment due to the lack of good customer service.

Regarding the Vantage - Med Center property18-month tenantUpon move-out, we were billed for a carpet replacement at $382.25. Nothing about carpet replacement is outlined in the lease we signed, and we also made a pet deposit on move-in. When the manager Tommy Ku was notified about the pet deposit, he subtracted it from the charge but also added a full repaint charge of $184, effectively negating the deposit. Repainting fees on move-out are also never mentioned in the lease we signed. I have reached out to him and others multiple times regarding this and have yet to hear back. There are also photos of people having sex in the pool up on the Google review page for the building. Standards have dropped to unbelievably low levels. When Kelly Jamieson was the manager of this property there were never issues.

My boyfriend and I had been looking at different apartments and the Vantage Med Center in houston was our last stop. We both walked in and there was a woman at the front desk (Victoria Speed) who looked up and continued her conversation on the phone. No one spoke to us at all. Which was kind of unpleasant. So we sat ourselves down and waited for about 10 minutes. I walk up to the young lady and ask if someone can attend to us and was ignored for the second time. It wasn’t until the young man in the office came and assisted us. I usually don’t do write ups or reviews but I grabbed her card on my way pass the desk. One of the worst first Impressions for an apartment of that caliber. The gentlemen was amazing nonetheless and I appreciated that. He had to make up for her poor welcoming.

Jimmie is amazing! Unfortunately, our management company at our building switched just as we arrived, but the Dinerstein Companies truly went above and beyond during our move, and even reconciled an issue when our new management company left it unresolved for months. As my point person at the company, Jimmie was always responsive, thoughtful and looking to help — rare and coveted qualities in apartment living.

I called over a week ago and left a message for the director over Two Lakes Edge and up until today no one has returned my call. I also asked for the property manager at Two Lakes Edge to give me a call and it has been over a month now and have not received a call from her as well.

I have been with The Dinerstein Company for about 8 months and in this short amount of time I have never felt more appreciated in my 7 years of being in this business. This company is all about sensible living, and the team you will work with is just like family. I love my job more than ever.

Closing ALL apt pools on Mondays for cleaning? You should tell prospects BEFORE they lease! An email to tenants saying pool will be closed on Monday does not imply every Monday.. I will be looking forward to a clean pool/pool area on Tuesdays.
